On a recent trip, I had to finally try Canes since we don't have any where I live. I have heard so…read moremany good things about the food here so figured I'd try for a quick lunch while I was out and about. Service was fast and friendly and it looked like a good spot. I ordered the chicken fingers, fries and a drink. Just the standard experience of a chicken shop. It came with some coleslaw and a piece of Texas toast so that was a nice addition. The food was all good. The crinkle cut fries are a favorite of mine so that earns points with me. The chicken was good. Better than some of the other fast food spots but wasn't overly flavorful. The sauce was good. Couldn't put my finger on it but it had a good flavor that complimented the chicken. Coleslaw and toast were both great sides. Overall, I'd give them another shot if I was craving chicken. It wasn't the greatest meal I'd ever had but it was definitely good. I think there was a lot of hype from people I talked to before trying it but in the end, it was a good meal.

I ordered the 4 box combo with fries and coleslaw. Service was friendly and efficient. We were greeted immediately upon walking in, and the food came out quickly. Unfortunately, the quality did not match my past experiences. The chicken tenders were small, dry, and lacked that freshly cooked texture I normally expect. The fries also tasted like they had been sitting rather than served hot and crisp. The biggest issue was the coleslaw. After just a couple of bites, I noticed an unusual taste that made me stop eating it immediately. Later that evening, I began feeling sick to my stomach, and that feeling continued through the night. I have had better experiences at other Raising Cane's locations, but food quality and freshness are essential at any restaurant. This visit did not meet that expectation. A neighborhood joint that always feel warm and cozy when you visit…read more My favorite French Onion soup in all Orlando is at Pickles. It's the perfect balance of tang from the broth and salt from the layer of gooey cheese. If you wanna feed a family - get the calzone as it's a large mammoth of goodness. Otherwise I typically opt for a spicy Italian sandwich. The service is always friendly and they are always aware of what's happening, even in the busiest of days. So be patient and enjoy time with family and some comfort food.

Pickles is a popular New York style Deli just off I4 at 434. They have all kinds of deli standard…read moresandwiches, black and white cookies and cheesecake. I rolled up on a Saturday about 2 pm. They have plenty of outside seating tables with umbrellas which were almost full. Inside was packed with the few seats at the bar occupied. They have two bar seats that are served by the bar through a window. There was a line to order and I was told inside tables are seated by staff. I really wanted to try the pickles but did not have room for a sandwich. While I waited my turn to order I noticed stacked high sandwiches and burgers. They only had one piece of cheesecake left in the dessert case. I had heard about their pickle sampler and that was a must try for me. It is called the pickle barrel and is 8.95 for a variety. Because they were busy they were out of some of the pickles. See photo. I wish my 'pickle barrel' had more of a variety but will return and try this again.
