We're so grateful to Diena for hosting us at her lovely alpaca ranch! She was able to accommodate us via a text reservation last minute so we drove over to check it out! She provided the feed and some cut carrots for us to feed the alpacas and was so kind and didn't push our 5 year old who was a little shy about the whole experience. We started out by feeding them from behind the fence and then eventually worked up to feeding them within the pen. In the time we were there, she helped him feel more comfortable petting one of the chickens and eventually feeding the alpaca some carrots! At the end, we got to visit her Paca Shop which is a cute little shed next to the alpacas and see all the beautiful skeins of yarn made from the alpaca's wool! Definitely recommend visiting the sweet alpacas and Diena! read more

We went today and it was super fun. We went around 1:30 and it was very hot but worth it!! Dina (how I think her name is spelt) made the experience for us very enjoyable. She told us that when she was younger watching alpacas, she didn't find joy in only seeing the alpacas through a gate. She provided us with grain and carrot slices, and even let us feed and pet the alpacas. I think there was a total of 20 alpacas. We spent most our time with the female alpacas who were very curious. she had 2 dogs as well. One who wasn't very interested in us, and the other named Odin who was very love able. I recommend bringing 2 or 3 chairs if you come with a big group because the chairs were very limited. And to bring hand sanitizer after feeding the alpacas and obviously wash your hand when you get home. Extra information: - Maps is kind of confusing to get the location right -I'm pretty sure it was $20 for the whole group. - It obviously doesn't have a good smell because there animals - She provided us with small water bottles at the end. - The alpacas do not like being pet on the head except for one (who she will tell you) - Enjoy the moment! read more

We had a great time visiting and are so thankful to Diena for letting us visit tonight as they were going to be closed for the shearing of the Alpacas on Saturday. We got to hold and take photos of a 5 day old baby as well as feed them and "kiss them" while holding carrots in our mouth Lady and the Tramp style! My wife said this was the best thing we have done so far on our 2 month journey across the USA and it is well worth spending an hour or so of your day here. Make sure you also check out the "Paca Shop She Shed" of Alpaca goodies with stories added to the items that are from their own Alpaca wool. We had a wonderful sit there a few years ago. Diena is an old friend from my past and what she and Mike are doing with these beautiful animals is phenomenal. Being able to get up close and personal is a memory not to miss. My little granddaughter ran around the field with them, squealing with delight. If visiting Capital Reef and/or passing through, this is well worth stopping for. read more

This was a spur of the moment stop, but our family was so glad we stopped by. The owner was accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable; it was one of the more unique experiences we have had, and we learned so much about alpacas. It is a must see on a stop to Capitol Reef. We took a day trip out to Torrey to meet the Alpacas and had a wonderful time. The alpacas were so friendly, gentle, and absolutely adorable!!
