**This is a review for the rooftop restaurant/lounge** This restaurant wasn't good, from the food to how they treated us as guests. The food is made in a very small kitchen, so be prepared for your food to take 1 or more hours to come out. The food wasn't good at all. It lacked flavor and the meat was dryyyyy. The waiter told us he was frustrated because he has 7 other tables (NOT MY FAULT) Also, the only thing worth visiting at this restaurant is the city views THATS IT! I will NEVER return!!! BEWARE!! THE FOOD IS OVERPRICED AND NOT WORTH A TRY HONESTLY

Todos los que trabajan aquí son muy buenos desde Edwin. Camila, Edgardo 1 y Edgardo 2. Todos nos atendieron súper amables y rápido, Nos cambiaron de cuarto 3 veces hasta sentirnos bien en este cuarto

Windows, caked with mildew/mold to the point i could barely see out of them

Avoid this place like the plague: -"City View" means view of the port and dilapidated housing -The staff is rude, charges for items that were never used -The pool is like a kiddy pool and surrounded by people eating -The rooms are filthy, and the windows had so much mildew caked on you could barely see through them (see photos) -There is a 24 hour station next door filled with beggars and crackheads, the street is not safe to walk on I have been coming to Puerto Rico for years and you couldn't pay me to stay here again.

Complimentary breakfast menu! Delicious warm breakfast every morning you stay!

What an amazing location! Luxury suites in the heart of the Miramar district in San Juan. The neighborhood reminds me of an up and coming art district in San Francisco. Friendly neighborhood, enough business, but it is missing the congestion of Old Town San Juan. What made me pick this hotel was the promise of amenities and a room to myself during a family vacation. What I loved the most: THE EPIC CUSTOMER SERVICE. Suites were clean, and the free amenities were phenomenal! During the week there were complimentary tapas and sangria; happy hour was an hour each evening offering buy one, get one free on select drinks. The morning breakfast was an excellent start each morning. There was a choice of the special each day, omelette, or eggs, and then your choice of sides. There was no exclusion on what you could order, and they offered sides of bacon with breakfast as well. The front desk was successful in arranging a day long snorkeling trip after I spent days playing phone tag with multiple tour companies in the week leading up to our departure. There were bikes available to rent complimentary if you preferred to tour San Juan via 2 wheels, and complimentary parking for our rental. The kids loved the pool. It was really an oversized hot tub, meant for lounging...but it was just a few feet from the bar, and the servers were gracious enough to bring drinks directly to you in the pool. I'd highly recommend this location because it's walking distance from Macchiato's (amazing coffee), great upscale PR tapa restaurant, and the family's favorite: 24 Seven with the delicious Peruvian Food Truck! I wasn't disappointed about anything, I was actually surprised at the luxury we lavished on for an uber affordable vacation. We got flight and hotel for a mere $465 per person for the 4 day/3 night stay! It's balling on a budget at its finest!!

We found this place online after checking into and quickly checking out of the worst Air Bnb ever. We got the presidential suite and it was huge! The master bedroom had a jacuzzi with a tv on the wall and the kitchen was very large. Also full size washer & dryer. The front desk staff was very helpful. Breakfast was included but we had to leave early to catch a flight so we didn't get a chance to try it.

We stayed here prior to our southern Carribean cruise in late August and again at the end of the cruise. The initialroom we got was prison cell ish but we asked to upgrade to a nicer room. We got a presidential suite which was lovely. The first one had a jacuzzi tub which also had a tv. Our second suite had a loud motor which killed the vibe. The mini bar had $2 beer abd $1 candy. Dont rip open the love pkg as it's a stiff $25. Desk staff treated us like we were their elderly aunties. One fellow found us an all day snnorkel trip on Barefoot tour, also great. Full American breakfast in the hotel and the staff was great. We loved Corina. Neighborhood was dodgy but a $4 uber takes you to Condado where rooms are double the price. Ubers are super cheap.

Came here strictly for the views!!! We had an amazing table the overlooked the city. The food was surprisingly good, too.

This is their idea of a luxury penthouse

FAR FROM LUXURY!! Staff-- most were polite. Unless you're dealing with the front desk, don't expect the staff to speak a lick of English. The bald headed guy with the glasses who works the SP breakfast is incredibly rude and always had an attitude. He and the older man that works with front desk also had the worst attitudes and insulted me in Spanish by calling me a "puta" and "perra" because I asked them for directions. They were the worst interactions on the island during our trip. Room-- our original room was so tiny that we almost opened the door on the bed. We still had a positive attitude until....we wanted to unwind in the room after being up since 5am to find out the TV and the phone was not working. The elevators are very slow. Finally got to front desk and explained that it was my husband's birthday, they upgraded us to the penthouse studio. It was a big improvement from our previous cell of a room. My only complaint is that the room need some renovations if they want to pull off calling it a "luxury suite" Noise-- The penthouse shares the same floor with the staffs maintenance closet and housekeeper room. Be prepared to hear heavy doors slamming continuously all day long and clanging of dishes and other items very early in the morning and even at night as they may be running room service. Service-- what service ? Our toilet stopped flushing and we waited 2.5 hours for someone to come. We gave up and went out on the town. Came back at night, toilet still broken. It never was fixed by end of our stay. Housekeeping forgot to give us clean washrags, had to wait an hour. Our key card was deactivated while we were out, came back at night, went to room, had to wait for slowwww elevator to go to front desk to fix and go back. I won't name each example, but there are more and you get the point. Breakfast-- yummy but very limited. Only like 2 options, scrambled or omelette. Free beach shuttle-- a nice attempt at convenience but also very inconvenient. It only drops you off at 10 a.m. and only picks you up from the beach at 3 pm. 10 a.m. is pretty early to go to the beach on a vacation, most people are attempting to eat breakfast around that time mind you breakfast ends at 10 so be prepared to get up even earlier to eat breakfast if you want before the beach. Value-- the service is extremely lacking. You would have better accommodations at a Holiday Inn. Oh! They don't have a gym or business center (liars)

My 600th Review on yelp!! I got a good deal on this hotel for their presidential one bedroom suite for 2 nights. I was sold when I saw free parking, free wi-fi, jetted tub with TV, and free breakfast. This is a newly established hotel and the building and the interior is very modern and clean. They have garage parking so your vehicle would be secure. Our room is very spacious living/dining/kitchen, laundry room, bedroom, two bathroom (one came with a jetted bathtub with TV), and a closet with drawers. We had a total of three TVs and the kitchen and bathroom had granite counter tops. They give you bath robes too. They also have free breakfast, which is very very yummy. On Monday and Thursday, they have dinner with wine and beers. But the portion is not really big for dinner so do not go super hungry and you might wanna go out for some dessert. There are minor complains 1) They overcharged us for the mini bar. I didn't really feel like calling to fix it since it was only a small change amount. 2) They don't provide detergent and dryer sheets...they are for extra charges. Surprisingly, even coffee and sugar packets also. I don't know how it is in Puerto Rico but that really does not work for American people. Overall, it was a great stay and I would stay at Ciqala again when I am back in PR next time.

I tried to avoid even writing this review! I try to give all businesses the benefit of the doubt! Unfortunately I've been left no other choice! On 3/4/2022 we arrived at the Ciqala around 2:30 pm we were told it was too early to check in but we could leave our bags at the front desk so we did. We headed up to their in house restaurant which had pooling water everywhere! We were literally slipping and sliding everywhere. We inquired about the pooling water under the table we were ushered to and were informed it had just rained. But we were in an indoor restaurant ?!?! So we went up to the rooftop only to find it looked nothing like the pics! This hotel didn't have any lounge chairs around the pool which was disappointing since we planned to spend one day at the pool. Not to mention the pool was approximately 5ft x 8ft and the water was cloudy like the filtration system wasn't working correctly. So we order 3 casamigos with lemonade only to receive casamigos with sour mix. When I inquired, the waiter informed us they were out of lemonade. I politely explained he could have told us and we would have changed the order, it's not a good business practice to just substitute due to the fact that my friend hates sour mix! He apologized and attempted to make lemonade with limes which was just as bad because he didn't add any sugar so it was extremely tart. We chalked it up and decided we wouldn't order any drinks there. So upon checking in we were told breakfast was included and we should just fill out the form and leave it outside the room before 4 am in order to receive breakfast. We paid close attention to the breakfast meats because my friend doesn't eat pork. She ordered turkey ham and apple juice with her breakfast and I ordered coffee, only to receive three orange juices and old turkey cold cuts! One bite and you could tell the cold cuts weren't fresh at all! Fast forward two days in, my aunt wakes up about 4:40 am to realize we didn't have running water. I call the front desk and was told they were aware... about 6 hrs later the water was back on but we weren't warned not to drink the water until 2 hrs after that, mind you we had a suite with a kitchen. We called the front desk to ask if someone could remove the garbage because we had made shrimp and salmon and were informed, "someone will be up but you received maid service today". Maid service? Handing me towels at the door with no verbal interaction to inquire if we needed anything isn't maid service! So we check out on 3/11/2022. Get to the airport and realize I left my apple rapid charger for my iPad... I called the front desk for two consecutive hours since our flight was delayed and no one answered which wasn't surprising because during our stay we realized they regularly leave the front desk unmanned. So about 2 am after reaching NY I was able to reach someone and was told they had my charger. I was told I would be emailed a credit card authorization form and I'd be informed when it was mailed out... I filled out the form initially forgetting to put the expiration date, which I eventually informed them of. After calling every other day I was told twice in the last week the charger was mailed out. I called last night and asked for a corporate office I was told I had to call the front desk after 10 and be transferred to corporate through that number... so I call the front desk approximately 2:30 pm today and I'm told the item has been shipped and I explained I was told I would be given shipping information and I haven't received it, I ask to speak to corporate and I'm told they found the charger in the drawer, it had been moved. I'm then asked for my address again when it's listed on the credit authorization form. I give my address and ask to speak to corporate so I can ensure that I'm given shipping info and I'm placed on hold for over an hour! Don't waste your time or money with this company unless you're ok with sub par service... update I after being on hold for an hour Friday 3/18 I call on Sunday 3/20 and I'm told they tried to send it but the shipper is asking for a copy of my credit card. I asked if o spoke to you on Friday and you attempted to ship, why wasn't I emailed or called asking for a copy of my card? The young lady on the phone was dismissive and told me she would send an email now... so if I hadn't inquired further you would have just never said anything? Never again

There are 4 pool ameneties you can choose from, with one being adults only. I loved that you have the different pool options. However, I wish the pools were bigger. I felt like it made more sense to have fewer pools but, bigger to fit more people but, we were comfortable in each. The beach is beautiful and every day there were plenty of surfers riding the high tide waves. It wasn't the best beach for swimming since the tide was so high and waves were really strong but, lifeguards are on the property to help those who have trouble getting in and out. We stayed close to shore to prevent any accidents and enjoyed watching surfers ride the waves each day.

The only logical explanation is that this policy makes the room prices appear to cost about $200 a night less than the real charges. Otherwise, why not just raise the advertised price by 20%? There is no doubt the property is in a gorgeous location, sitting directly on the ocean. The buildings are in good condition and the staff is courteous. But, I experienced several shortfalls compared to my expectations for this price point. The suites are provided a "butler," but the available hours are 10am to 6pm. The service would be more accurately described as a concierge. Bringing coffee in the morning is not on the list of duties, nor assisting with unpacking or packing or other typical butler activities. Sending out laundry the day before my departure, I asked to have it folded so it would be easier to pack. Everything came back on hangers. My room did not receive turn-down service and fresh towels during the third night of my stay. I asked to have a car booked to the airport from the hotel. The butler got it backwards and booked it from the airport to the hotel. Good thing that I took a close look at the confirmation and noticed the routing was backwards. The breakfast restaurant, Ola, is extremely crowded in the morning with a 30 to 60 minute wait being typical in my experience. The front of the property is in a skeevy neighborhood so walking somewhere else for breakfast isn't a realistic option. It's not bad, but also not a top tier. property.

The presence of such a severe infestation implies gross negligence. Save yourself the trauma and spend your money elsewhere.

The best part is they'll take you on a golf cart to the beach and have chairs and umbrellas for you. It's a pretty beach. Waters a little rougher than others. But we brought a cooler and some drinks and had a great time. Then they'll come get you. If you like more of a walkable night life tho I'd stay in old San Juan. But for a decent hotel decently priced this is a fair option. The breakfasts were also really good. Guava pancakes and the Puerto Rican sambo on sobao bread.

It's only for one night in preparation for our cruise but was a great choice. The room is a Queen with a Murphy bed. It's spacious has all you need for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend and will be adding it to my contacts and definitely stay here again in the future. The decor is beautiful with a gorgeous fresh centerpiece changed out weekly. The pool area is nice. The maintenance man tidying up is also personable. For those wanting to stay fit while traveling or to work off their cookies, the Fitness Center can accommodate. The Digital Key is a great feature for those who love all things technology. I may opt for a traditional room key next time. It's good to have options. Oh, "The DoubleTree Cookie" is always available in abundance. I walked up to the front desk the next morning to ask a question and was handed 2 cookies. :-) Margarita is a welcome pleasant presence at the DoubleTree! The review may be short but I really am impressed with everything I've seen and experienced. The bed was comfortable. Thank you DoubleTree by Hilton San Juan!

Rideshare is probably the move. Seating: Indoor bar seating plus an outdoor terrace area with ocean views. Plenty of room to relax and take your time. Vibes: You're in a touristy area so it's pretty clean. It's a polished tropical resort energy. Palm trees, ocean breeze, and people fully leaning into vacation mode. It's definitely tourist-friendly so great for lovebirds and families. FOOD / DRINKS Piña Colada (Recommend) This is the reason you come here. Just as advertised - creamy, smooth, coconut-forward, and balanced with pineapple sweetness without feeling overly sugary. The rum comes through cleanly, and the icy texture makes it refreshing. CUSTOMER SERVICE A little hiccup in the beginning but they started getting things going. TL;DR OVERALL 3.5 Stars. Solid. Selections were good, price was expected, same goes for the experience. If you desire experiencing Puerto Rico/cocktail history then go for it! However it was a bit touristy for me and I'm curious about the other spot. Aside from that if you're busy with family and this happens to be convenient for y'all, be sure to check it out! TIPS * The other home of the Pina Colada is the Barrachina Restaurant!

It was perfect. It was like that last year...ok no steel drums and way more corporate. Now when the sun goes down outdoors is basically off limits. Walk on the beach, nope. Sit along the shore, nope. So it's a lovely resort but this totally undermines the beauty of it. Might as well stay in old San Juan.

I was booked at another hotel in the area and didn't like the room, so I checked out and checked into the AC. I did a tour of the hotel before I switched and it sold me instantly. The lobby smelled good and it was clean. Staff was professional, dressed neat and were accommodating. I checked in early and my room wasn't ready, so they locked away my luggage for me. The room was nice and comfortable and $25 of spending money at the hotel was included in my price. Speaking of price, it was cheaper than my original hotel and better! 5 stars from me

I had valid reasons to be pissed and…read morethe manager and staff agreed I booked the reservation through a military website (American Forces Travel, partnered with Priceline). I get to the hotel, some new girl named Marselles said she couldn't see my purchase and without my knowledge charged a card on file for the reservation again (I didn't notice this until I went upstairs). I immediately return to the lobby because I noticed I was charged twice and ALSO the room they initially assigned me smelled of mold and was never cleaned (juice stains everywhere and random hair pieces in the sink.) when I complained about the smelled Marceles stated the smell was common throughout the island. When I spoke to her in Spanish and said "no the fuck it's not.". She quickly got quiet because she assumed I was a first time tourist or something. But also who says that? I asked to have a manager escort me to the new room so that we can observe the cleanliness together. The manager apologized. I then asked about the duplicate charge and she promised to refund the money and repeatedly apologized, offering that Marselles was new and still needed training. Okay, whatever. I was only staying for one night. It doesn't end there. The next morning at around 8am, the cleaner knocks on the door like she was police and asked about cleaning. I said it was too early and that my checkout was later on in the day. She had attitude. The worst part about this is that the cleaners were blasting music up and down the hallways and when I showed the manager the video, she seemed shocked. But everything was " we never do this. This is the first time"...whatever. They had a nice bar on the rooftop but it was blasting cold air on a rainy night. It felt like an icebox. Bartender nice. She made nice mint juleps but the "Jack Daniels" bottle was filled with a different type of whiskey because it did NOT taste the same. I promise you. They didn't even acknowledge or include my Marriott Bonvoy membership. Because of the chaotic mess, the manager said she would waive the incidental and hotel fees and guess what, I was still charged that. I called Marriott so quickly and filed a report. Worst Marriott stay ever. Now I have to go through corporate to get a refund by sending emails and waiting on investigation to start. The room for one night was over $500. They charged me twice resulting in over $1000 for a hot mess of a stay.
