Rosticceria - Fried rice didn't look like fried rice to me. Looks like rice with added veggies, shrimp, and egg.

It's super close to the train station and we decided to take a gander this place. The restaurant inside was definitely subpar. At the time we were there, there are people running in and out of the store. I believe they have some sort of game room or arcade of some sort inside. Onto the food... I wouldn't recommend it. The fried rice was still white. As if it was barely seasoned. My chicken wing had hairs in it. The egg and tomato (I don't know what it's called) was just mediocre. The spicy egg drop soup (not sure what it's called) was actually tasty. With all that being said... the food didn't taste all that bad. But they could've done MUCH better imo.

And by a little bit, I mean that we ate there for three meals in a row. I guess Florentine cuisine just wasn't my thing. I really appreciated how authentic the cuisine was considering the probable lack of a Chinese demographic in the area. I would've thought that they would've tried making it more amenable to Italian tastes, which, from my experience, is extremely picky and a tad conceited, but I'm glad they didn't, because this was definitely a little slice of home (and by home, I mean Dallas, TX). AND to cap it off, it didn't break the bank. 4-5 euros per entree. What a steal!

The dishes we ordered had well-Balanced sauces. We had a dish with braised quail eggs and pork belly ("Quail eggs and Bacon") which was very good. We had a greens sautéed with garlic. Very good (it's the type of dish that's SUPPOSED to taste the same at ANY restaurant and L'Angolo did not surprise us. That's a good thing). We had sweet and sour shrimp. The sauce contained fresh pineapple and fresh tomatoes and head-on, shell-on shrimp. The sauce was very good and not cloyingly sweet nor gelatinous. The only caution I would give is that if you're looking for American -style General Tso 's chicken or chop-suey, I don't think it's on the menu. This is more akin to a mid-tier American Chinese restaurant -- not a take-out joint.

Of all the places we have eaten, this is the best of them all. Good portions, good value and good taste. Finding out that this restaurant just opened up made me glad that we wandered through its door at the right time. I just found out that this is a branch of another restaurant in Loreto, Milan named Wang Jiao - Mong Kok and that the other name of this restaurant in Florence is called Xin Wang Jiao - L' angolo.

It was a great respite from the continuous (albeit delicious) Italian food we had been having for the past few weeks in Italy. Thoroughly satisfying. We ordered: * Steamed Fish - Branzino Al Vapore * Chili and Sour China Cabbage - Cavolo Cinese Agro-Piccante * Pork Rib Bone Noodle Soup * For Dessert: Yam Roll - Involtini di primavera dolci Highly recommend this place for a quality, inexpensive Chinese meal on the particularly cold days we've been experiencing in Florence. Service is fast and efficient. Would go again.

It's right across from another Chinese restaurant (Impressione) that had a line going out the door - 10-deep. Rather than wait around for a disgruntled lady to add us to the waitlist, we just went across the street. The food came out within 15 minutes and everything looked and tasted fresh. It was almost too fast for me to only get a photo of the chicken (cold dish). We also had the beef noodle soup, vegetable noodle soup, garlic steamed bok choy, and sour wonton soup. I would highly recommend this place for authentic food, but it's not fancy and the atmosphere is anything but cozy.

Yixinge - Taro Yam rolls - they're wrapped in a crispy sweet and light flour netting. So tasty. There might also be mung bean in the center.
