The dishes we ordered had well-Balanced sauces. We had a dish with braised quail eggs and pork belly ("Quail eggs and Bacon") which was very good. We had a greens sautéed with garlic. Very good (it's the type of dish that's SUPPOSED to taste the same at ANY restaurant and L'Angolo did not surprise us. That's a good thing). We had sweet and sour shrimp. The sauce contained fresh pineapple and fresh tomatoes and head-on, shell-on shrimp. The sauce was very good and not cloyingly sweet nor gelatinous. The only caution I would give is that if you're looking for American -style General Tso 's chicken or chop-suey, I don't think it's on the menu. This is more akin to a mid-tier American Chinese restaurant -- not a take-out joint.

Of all the places we have eaten, this is the best of them all. Good portions, good value and good taste. Finding out that this restaurant just opened up made me glad that we wandered through its door at the right time. I just found out that this is a branch of another restaurant in Loreto, Milan named Wang Jiao - Mong Kok and that the other name of this restaurant in Florence is called Xin Wang Jiao - L' angolo.

Last month, we visited Florence and stayed for one night. Our hotel was only a couple minutes walk…read morefrom Chilli Casa! We wanted to eat Chinese food that night and luckily were able to find this spot in our search. They are located in Florence's "Chinatown". There are Asian markets and a couple of different restaurants that serve Asian food. We were able to walk in and be seated immediately. Staff was very nice; we had great conversations with them ;) Food: we got cauliflower griddle, ma po tofu, beef ramen in szechuan special sauce, japanese ramen with pork & boiled fish with pickled cabbage. Their menu is pretty extensive... not gonna lie, it was a bit overwhelming, 13 pages BUT much appreciated. Lots of options and you're bound to find something you'll like. Overall, the food wasn't too bad. I don't expect to find the best Chinese restaurant in Europe. The boiled fish with pickled cabbage was very salty and oily. I had the beef ramen & it was okay but again, very oily... wasn't spicy just oily. If you're a soup drinker, this soup is not really drinkable. Ma po tofu was also extremely salty. So salty that it tasted spicy. I would only suggest getting the cauliflower. I am rating them a 4/5 because finding a Chinese restaurant was actually pretty hard in Florence.

Someone needs to shut down this racist place, we ordered an appetizer and ate with chopsticks then…read moreafter we ordered our main course, they started to bring the food one at time not together and brought us forks. No one asked for them! And none of the other tables got them. I was so furious and annoyed by this disgusting racism that I said no repeatedly for them to take them off the table. After that our food came out cold and they never came back to check on us. They also never brought our dumplings. I went to the manager and he just laughed under his breath in front of me. This is a sad establishment and unfortunate. Never go to this place or support this type of piss poor performance. You're better off going somewhere else.
