My husband and I got our Open Water Certifications from them years ago (their on-site pool makes classes so convenient!), and more recently, our 12yo son completed his certification with Don and team. The instruction is top notch. All of the classes were 1:1 and tailored specifically to our needs and comfort level. We all came away incredibly confident divers, which is the best measure of success. Anytime we're on a trip, the dive master always comments on what a skilled diver my 12yo son is. I swell with pride every time I hear this and am so thankful for the great instruction he received, as it will help keep him safe in the water for years and years to come. As an added bonus, Don lets my son borrow equipment anytime we go away to ensure he's using the same equipment he trained in and therefore as comfortable & confident as possible. As soon as my son stops growing :-) we will buy our gear from Atlantic Aquasport. But until then, being able to borrow equipment has been a huge cost saver and convenience. My husband and I have purchased all of our gear from Don and couldn't be happier with the quality, selection, and support we get even after the sale. My regulator has a lifetime guarantee from Don. It had a problem Don couldn't fix (likely from years of being jostled around by baggage handlers across many airports) and Don replaced it free of charge, no questions asked. My most recent experience with Atlantic Aquasport was going on a Saturday morning dive with them to Nubble Point. Despite having logged 500+ dives, this was my first New England dive and I loved it! The crew let me borrow additional gear to ensure I'd be warm enough, conducted a thorough safety briefing, and guided me on a really fun dive that surpassed my expectations for what I'd see in New England waters. I love the Atlantic Aquasport team and can't recommend them enough for training, gear, and local dives!

In the market for a new Hoyt target compound after being away from the sport for several decades…read more Made a phone call before driving over and while they did not have the exact model I'm hoping to buy in stock the gentleman who answered the phone was courteous, welcoming, answered my questions before encouraging me to drop by. Arriving at the shop I found a densely packed pro-shop that tended toward hunting rigs (which is not a bad thing....it's just a reasonably well stocked shop in need of a bigger space that is stocking what the market demands) and a multi-lane indoor 20 yard target range. The man behind the counter was with another customer but greeted me promptly and indicated he would not be long. (If I had a penny for every gun/hunting shop that completely ignored me upon entry.......so this was a welcome turn.) Noticing there was another customer in the store a gentleman who had been on the line shooting set his bow down, and introduced himself as the owner and shook my hand. He too was extremely helpful, answered my questions and offered some qualified advice after learning the "target/competition" direction I was leaning toward. Basically I got a very good vibe from the owner and his staff and was assured if I purchased my bow through them I would receive a full compliment of expert tuning and fitting services as well as 2 months free access to the shooting lanes. I feel confident that I found the best full service pro shop in the Northeast Region. Lots of places can sell you a new rig but most leave you high and dry when it comes to providing expert assistance with fitting and tuning. Super glad I dropped by Big Al's. Next step is a short appointment with the owner to check a few key measurements (draw length etc.) before we place my special order for a left hand 2018 Hoyt Prevail. If my first impression was typical of their service I'm looking forward to doing business with them. (I'll provide updates once we get the bow in and I have a chance to work with them on fit and tuning.)

They've got a retail part and shooting/target section. The staff were all great. Clearly experienced and knowledgable. No attitude, I never felt dumb or like I was asking a stupid question. And they were really good about helping me find what I was looking for, not trying to upsell me on everything. Overall, got what I was looking for, felt really comfortable, and am glad theyre not that far away.

*This review is for Jet Ski rentals*…read more I have been going to Hampton Beach my life. And one hour with Adventure Charters warped my whole vision of what Hampton had to offer. What do I know about jet skis? Pretty much nothing. I have a driver's license but I've never driven anything more exotic than a go-kart or a vespa. So when my boyfriend suggesting renting jet skis during our vacation my immediate reaction was to LEAP at the suggestion and then slowly return to reality. 1. I have no idea how to ride one 2. I may get eaten by sharks (I just watched Shark Week!). So we called up Adventure Charters (the only place in Hampton Beach that rents jet skis). They were super friendly and answered all of my questions thoroughly and pleasantly. Since I don't have a boating license, I'd have to fill out a quick test to give me a 14 day temporary license. Then it's $85/hour per jet ski, no matter how many people on the jet ski. That sounds great. Flash forward to August when we walk past all the deep sea fishing shacks. We were greeted by the friendly and genuinely pleasant people working there who explained the little instruction book and test. Test took maybe 15 minutes and cost $20 to take. But no worries, that fee is applied toward the jet ski fee. Then we paid the $500 deposit on each jet ski and the remaining $65 per jet ski. The place provides life jackets, which you must wear, and wet suits, which are optional. I thought we'd need them since NH is notorious for FREEZING COLD lips turning purple water. But not so. The man who took us to the dock was so nice and put all my fears to rest. He even took our pictures on the jet ski and put them on their facebook wall for us to see later. (we couldn't find a water-proof disposable camera on the way there. boo) ZOMG jet skis are my favorite thing in the world. About halfway through our hour, i stopped the jet ski, turned to my boyfriend and insisted that we buy one (ok maybe two) for ourselves. I felt so safe. It was so easy to handle. And we went speeeeding through the waves. An hour was a perfect amount of time. There's a little clock on the "dashboard" next to the speedometer to keep track of when you need to return. We had plenty of time to test our courage and have fun and get back on time. We then walked, back returned the life jackets, got our things (which they were nice enough to keep behind the counter so they were not destroyed). We started planning next year's trip as we walked out the door. Nothing negative to say about this company!

I'm not very familiar navigating the seas of the Hampton Beach area. It was low tide, so they made sure I navigated the waters well before going out. They also told me the best spots to go to.
