Today was BOGO according to their Facebook page so our family stopped by for a treat. I do not like the regular frosting but I do like their cream cheese frosting,so I got the ape pie style with cream cheese instead of cinnamon frosting. There is a big enough size you can eat half and save thr other half for the next day. I liked this one a lot, the apple provides a little bit of freshness and acidity that kind of cut down the closing sweetness of the rest of the roll. My four year old selected the smores style one and split it with his dad. It was a big sugary choco pile which they both were quite happy with. I don't think their rolls are as good as homemade, they are definitely lower quality than a real bakery. But still good for a once in awhile treat on the go or when a craving hits, especially at half off price:) read more

I am a huge fan of cinnamon rolls and they have to be just right! This place is a one a kind, you can customize your toppings, frosting, and even size. I went for the old fashioned and was not disappointed at all! As a matter of fact bf had to get himself one because I wouldn't share mine, lol. I placed an order for banana bites (which was not labeled to have chocolate as an ingredient... I'm allergic) upon eating the bites I could taste the chocolate and immediately administered my epi pen... when I called the establishment to inform them of this I was told that I would have to pay for a new order without the chocolate or receive a refund.. once I arrived they declined my refund and made me pay for an additional order of a different item with the same amount ... & to add insult to injury my replacement order was STILL WRONG! I definitely have a sweet tooth so I was excited to try this place. There was a lot of seating and is overall an open and spacious location. The night we visited was a little busy, they told us we had a 10 minute wait which we didn't mind at all. Overall friendly service. I got the butterfinger cinnamon roll. It was fresh and so warm. We were tempted into stopping here on our walk back to our car last night. The building was well lit and clean (other than the overflowing trash container by the front door) and the smells were amazing! We were stuffed from our dinner, but I had to try something, so had a single scoop of cookie dough. It tasted great but was definitely a heavy sugar burst just before bedtime. My friends in the Chicago area always raved about this place, so I was so excited when a location opened in Des Moines. I love cinnamon rolls and couldn't wait to try these! The cinnamon rolls are pretty amazing. They are soft and gooey! There are plenty of fun flavors to appeal to the whole family. The service is super friendly too. They are pretty pricey, which is to be expected for a place like this. I think they are best when eaten fresh, but they are still pretty tasty warmed the next day. Fun business concept of customizing the cinnamon rolls. So many toppings to choose from. Service was great. Could tell it was busy prior to our visit. The trash was overflowing. A handful of small table seating, bar height window seating, and a purple couch in the back. Visited on a Wednesday night at 6:00pm. There was a very short line walking in; with one couple in front of us. Wait time was 15 minutes. Seating was all taken. By the time we received our rolls we were able to get a seat. Dining in, we sat there for 20 min to enjoy our goods. Overall, it was tasty and I would try again. Great treat to hit a sweet tooth. And it's VEGAN! They have a display with possible options to order from or you can just order the plain Old Skool (which is what I ordered). I placed my order and I told the young lady that it was it was my first time and she took the time to go over the menu. They have something for anyone. In this place you can have your cinnamon roll and eat it too. Clearly! They have from soft serve, cookie cake, brownies and you can even order a Cinnacake! Yes, you read that correctly, a cake made from cinnamon rolls! Cinnamon rolls are one of my weaknesses and throughout the winter I would run past this place on Saturday mornings waiting for it to open practically drooling. I finally had a chance to stop in last Saturday (more on why it took so long to follow). Ordered an Old Skool and a blueberry muffin cinnamon roll. On the plus side: *Light and bright storefront * Friendly competent employees * Yes the cinnamon rolls were delicious but honestly I really enjoyed the Old Skool more and while the blueberry muffin one was good, I wasn't tempted by any of the other specialty ones However: * They are a bit pricey (especially the specialty ones) * NOT OPEN UNTIL 10am!??! There are 30-40 people who run from Fleet Feet around the corner on Saturday mornings year round. They are done by 9 am at the latest. I bet some (like me) would wander over for some delicious cinnamon rolls but instead go to Scenic Route or other places that are open early. I'm afraid you might be losing business I don't live in the EV or downtown so it would be difficult for me to get there other times when you are open. Hope your place is successful! read more

We went to this place today... it was fun to pick your topping down to the glaze. You can also watch how they make them... we had a roll with banana cream, bananas and banana bread. It wasn't very banana flavored but the taste you get is a fake flavor. The other roll was a chocolate glaze, pecans and brownie bites. The line wasn't too long and the wait wasn't terrible either. I am writing this after my second visit here. My first visit was on opening day. I walked in to at least 30-40 people waiting inside. I stood behind another couple who I thought were in line. When the person at the counter who just ordered walked away, it was about 20 seconds before the cashier called out a number. It was then I realized there was some sort of number system just to order. I looked around and me and the couple ahead of me had no clue where to get a number. When I saw how slow the employees were going, and noticed that there was no spring in their step to get customers in and out as quickly as possible, I left. I was disappointed that there was no one at least attempting to control the madness in there. I went back a couple days ago during the afternoon. It looked like there were just a few people waiting and only two people ahead of me. It was about 40 minutes I waited all together. I was disappointed with the overall vibe given off from the employees. The cashier seemed very snarky, and I waited for about 10 seconds of her staring at me to give me a short and quiet "hi". Looking around, you could tell none of the employees wanted to be there. This made me sad because this seems like the ultimate place to go to be happy! There is a good amount of seating inside, including some funky purple couches with cinnamon roll pillows. The whole place smells of fresh cinnamon rolls which makes waiting around not as bad. I got the Cookie Monster roll. For $7.50, it seems pretty small and thin. The toppings were plentiful, but the roll itself was kind of hard and you definitely needed a knife to cut through the edge bites. Overall, I would say this is a place you should at least try once, but for the prices and the quality of what I got, I will not be rushing back. read more

Somehow the staff only input 5 in, my husband got the receipt we thought everything was fine my daughter got the bag with the rolls and head home. At home I realize the last roll was missing I then review the receipt and yes only 5 were enter I called because I was confuse why she only enter 5 orders out of 6 an addition to charging for PB cups and not getting them in the roll. Staff apologize but it was devasted to see that I was left without a roll while my entire family enjoyed theirs. The first time they were very informative but I thought it was odd how there were 2 people there and only after the entire register process is over do they start the order.
