There is also a gym and rock climbing area. For food and drink, you're also tempted by a wide array of brands including Nando's, Ask Italian and Pizza Express. There is also a Starbucks here, although it didn't look too welcoming. It felt so uncomfortable that they openly admitted they did not trust customers to have food items in the fridges, and kept them all in the back - I totally understand loss prevention but I've never seen any Starbucks locations do this other than this one. The car park is HUGE, it felt way too big, but I'm sure due to the varied things to do and eat here, it can get quite busy, especially in such a peak location, being right off the motorway it makes it easily accessible through all points of the country. PRO TIP: If you're going on a longer journey, make this a stop off to get a bite to eat or something to drink, you have a selection of brands and you're not paying the high prices of motorway service stations. There is a small selection of shops here too, but nothing too special, this isn't really a place you'd come to shop. There's a sporting goods store and a WHSmith Travel location as I could recall, that's pretty much it. 4* - I like this place, it's pretty cool and certainly a good spot for a family day out.

This cinema is ancient!…read more Although not the first time I've been since the old Warner Bros cinema was bought by Vue in 2003, it's facilities is nearly exactly the same. Seats are uncomfy and old (although they do have 2 or 3 rows of VIP seats now). Toilets are woeful and old. Ticket prices are also very expensive - £8.40 during peak times (5pm onwards) - and food & drink is getting expensive too. I think if cinemas want to encourage people to visit, they should charge considerably less for tickets, food & drink and invest in refurbishments inside (esp for this outdated Vue). Lastly, thank god for orange Wednesdays!

Although Cineworld as a company have let themselves down big time lately by removing the online booking incentive and instating seat reservations over their former option of free seating that almost all customers and staff loved. The staff here go out of their way to help and get you into the movie in an area you want to be. They have a well stocked if the usual over priced concession area although this is made better if you have a Premium unlimited card. If only Cineworld as a company would listen to their customers and fix the problems they have created.

When it first had its grand reopening it was really busy but on the first showing it was so hot that most people had to leave, one person even fainted! It was much better before they split the screen up. Now it is much too small to enjoy a film as much.. On the upside, it is cheaper than most of the major cinemas and it doesn't get the new blockbusters too much later than the main ones, but obviously can't show as many at once so doesn't get all of them. The seats are comfortable, drink/food is relatively cheap if you compare it to a normal cinema, but still expensive.

When the Showcase opened many years ago now it was well ahead of anything else in the area. It brought mulit-screens to Leeds and all under one roof. However, that was back in the day and when you could buy half penny sweets and munch on flying saucers. Okay it's not that old but it has certainly fallen a bit behind some of the competitors in the area. That said it's not a bad cinema. You'll still get a good choice of big films and reasonable auditoriums but it lacks to punch of some of it's rivals. I find the films tend to be slightly behind the Vue ones and some of the screening areas aren't as big either. The staff are friendly but slightly unhelpful and the savoury snacks are expensive and utter dross. On the plus side, it's free parking and there is plenty of it. You've also got many eateries on site for a quick feed before or after the performance. Not one to avoid but not a place to hurry to either.

That is, if you can get a ticket! From when I used to live near the area, it was always sold out. So, big seats for the basic seats, then even bigger and four sofas which still work out comparatively to regular cinema seats. But the food and drink are rather more upmarket ...... a china mug of coffee, or a glass of wine and some cake or nice ice-cream but all affordable unlike a regular cinema. This is truly an outing and worth it. And then there are the bathrooms - black and white tiles, with individual fresh cotton hand towels and ladies necessaries free of charge on the window sill. And nice hand cream. It is worth it just for the toilets! Staff are lovely and helpful.

During peak times it can be difficult to get in and out of the leisure park and sometimes difficult to find parking. However, it is convenient and saves us from having to drive further to find a cinema.
