This Cineplex location stands out for its fully reclining seats, which make the movie experience very comfortable. I've visited multiple times and consistently enjoy coming here. I came here with B and B's brother J to watch Lego the Movie #2. We were having trouble buying the tickets online and we ended up buying it from a third party. We came here on a Friday night and the theater was somewhat empty. We went for the AVX show and the seats inside were definitely amazing. It had the automatic recliner seats. The screens were large and also the theater inside was really clean. Service was good here. I like this theater. Looks like it was recently renovated. Nice surround sound too. read more

I like this theatre for the fact that it isn't as crowded as some others. In comparison to some of the other places its certainly easier to find parking for and it's close to 72nd so with easy access to Hwy 91 convincing friends to come here is sometimes much easier than to get them to go to Metro. Surprisingly they do a pretty darn good job of cleaning up the theatres here. No sticky seats or random food strewn about whenever I've come here. read more

My husband and I live in South Burnaby but drive to Surrey to go to Strawberry Hill, its generally cheaper thn SilverCity Metrotown. the seats are very comfortable and moves like a rocker. the only think about this place is that its really smelly, i mean i guess most movie theaters are generally smelly. if you like Indian/Bollywood movies they show a lot in this location. read more

My favourite theatre in the Valley! ALL recliner seating and two rows of D-Box seating! If you haven't experienced D-Box recliner viewing this is the place to go.....there are no other theatres in the Fraser valley as of yet that have D-box WITH recliner seating. It was an ok Place I never seen so many rude people in my life. I'm not going to single out a race. But some people Really if the people left their jacket and someone is watching the seat so their kids while the wife gets refreshments you don't yell at them and cuss them out. No customer greeting. terrible service at concession. popcorn was stale and cold (even after asking to exchange it) took over 20 minutes to prepare two hotdogs and chicken tenders. when i asked for someone to assist me the worker told me to wait a minute while she was laughing and talking to a coworker about something unrelated to work. overall very unfriendly management, rude customer service and terrible food. read more

The screens are huge! But their seats are damaged. Where we were sitting, there were two damaged/broken seats that we noticed. They need to keep their venue up to date. They also play at least one Hindi movie in their theatre to cater towards the large Indian population in Surrey and it beats the other Indian cinema, Raja Cinemas. Otherwise, everything else is what you'd expect from a Cineplex theatre but less food options than at Scotiabank or Metropolis. read more

Why drive to the Strawberry Hill Cineplex instead of just going down the road without crossing a bridge to SilverCity. Super comfortable moving seats that have a flight "rock" feature to them. So when you lean back, the chair leans back a bit. Which if you have back issues and/or are antsy like me this is a great feature. The parking lot gets really busy on Friday and Saturday nights (it is in a strip mall), however when I go to the cinema I try to go to this one. read more

Great spot to see movies. The popcorn was even hot and perfectly buttered. We got there early and waited outside the door - the young man that let us in was so friendly and welcoming (I heard someone call him Rob). All of the staff were great and helpful with us old folks attempting to make our movie choice. I would give it 5 stars except that I really love the newer recliner chairs (large with drink holders, at some theatres you can actually order food and beverages from your seat). I'm keeping my eyes open for theatres that offer those seats specifically. This really is a great theatre despite being cavernous & not having my favorite seats. I'll keep going back. read more

2018 UPDATE. I've been to this movie theatre for years now and I've never been disappointed. Ive been two many theatres and his one is still my favourite. Sound is great, seats are comfy, the screens are huge and they NOW have D box recliner seats, THATS RIGHT recliners. Oh, and did I forget to mention that they're COMFY. Being at the Movies now feels like being at home. Now that's THE Movie theatre experience. My favourite thing about this movie theatre (Cineplex) is that I can collect Scene points every time I buy food or a movie ticket which you can't do at other job- cineplex theatres. Who doesn't want free movies? Cause I do! And I have been using my points towards free movies for years. Also, if you are with scotia bank and have a scotia sneer credit/debit you get 2x the points. I like the discount Tuesday's and the option to skip the line and buy the tickets yourself either on your smartphone or on the kiosk. Trust me it's a life saver when it's super busy. Also! You can't forget about the amount of parking that is available. So you don't have to worry about not having anywhere to park. It's close to Tim Hortons, A&W, KFC, Subways etc so if you want a quick bite before it after you have many please to choose from. From skipping the lines, to redeeming points to watch free movies, to the big screens. To the reclining chairs and the amazing popcorn (that I actually sometimes just go to the theatre to buy) Cineplex is the theatre to go to! read more

It's a very okay theater. It's as average as it gets. Staff and cleaning has to get better but other than that it's alright.

Probably the nicest theatre in the burbs, outside of Coquitlam, this is my top 3. Simply because before/after, there's tons of things to do here, with grocery markets, London Drugs, Steve Nash and Krispy Kreme nearby ;) I prefer the carpeting here throughout compared to their newer one at Marine Drive. Shorter lineups too, and easier to find parking. read more

Unless you're into punjabi movies, avoid this cinema by any means. Dirty cinema with badly designed interior structure. Wanna use the washroom? You would have to find them at the second floor. Majority of the audience would be teenagers who chat loudly and take photos with flash on during the show. Wanna see people argue and throw punches at each other? This ghetto cinema IS your number choice. read more

The cinema isn't too big, and not always has the new movies. But the staffs there are quite nice and patient.

I have been to this movie theatre many times whenever I would visit Vancouver and I never was disappointed once. Sound is alright, the seats are good; The seats here recline. You can even see Bollywood films here due to the large number of expats. The prices here are about the same as you get in the US. Beware, though. People say Canadians are nice, but not nice enough to let you bend the rules; One time when I was buying my ticket, the cashier lady noticed I was drinking Tim Hortons, and kindly reminded me that no outside food or beverages were allowed. Sadly, because I just bought my mocha, and the movie I wanted to see was going to start in literally one minute, I had to ditch the Timmies. Oh well, gotta follow the rules. But otherwise, no complaints for this theatre. read more

I completely agree with the last post that they desperately need to update their facilities. The carpet is always dirty and chairs are always broken. One real sucky thing is that there only bathrooms are on the top floor of the theatre and at only one end of the theatre. This is a huge inconvenience when you have to go during a movie (at other theatres like Empire in Guidlford, they have several all around so the amount of movie time you miss is way less). Also the washrooms are usually out of supplies. Several times i've been and the soap dispensers are broken. The concession selling the tickets is a joke. There are always huge line ups and the staff is always talking among themselves and not paying attention to guests. Sometimes they are super understaffed as well. read more

Yes, there is a lot of Hindi/Punjabi movies played here, but that is just to cater to the local demographic. Much the same as Riverport in Richmond plays more Chinese movies. But there is still the hollywood blockbusters, and plenty of them. Now the theatre use to be outdated and dirty and not all that pleasant to go to (more of a local convenience than choice). But now that all changed with the updated renovations. With full powered recliner seats with tons of space, it is unbelievably comfortable. You can take off your shoes, bring a blanket and enjoy the movie on the nice big screens without having to worry about the person next to you or behind you or even in front of you hitting your seat or obstructing your view. It is because of these recliner seats that I decided to go back to this theatre over any other (even Richmond with has more options and even IMAX). So greatly recommend it. read more

Aside from the cheap movies on Tuesdays, there is very little draw for me here. I would much rather go elsewhere even if it means a longer drive, like going out to the colossus in Langley. The last time I was here the place was a dump, the bathrooms were atrocious, with paper towel all over the floor and in desperate need of a general clean and the theatre was not too clean either. read more

Have been to this theatre only a couple of times and every time its a terrible experience. Everyone is miserable who works there, I mean, it couldn't hurt to smile once in a while. The theatre smells really badly, once like urine. The main area is always dirty. On my most recent (and very last) trip to the movie theatre, I was told I could not bring my starbucks into the movie (even though they have a starbucks at the place). Very misleading practices. I had to stand because there were no seats in the lobby and I was not allowed upstairs to the chairs. The employee was staring at me while I was finishing my drink; it made me feel like a criminal. There were no seats left in the movie by the time I got in there. Its a movie theatre, I should be able to bring in a coffee to watch a movie I paid 15 dollars for! Ill take my business to empire. They will let me in with a starbucks. Hopefully this place gets shut down soon, or comes under new management (maybe empire will buy that dump). read more

The experience is average as the seats aren't good, it's usually packed in small spaces but the price is alright.

It was good, now its gone down hill. its the worst. My wife and son used to go there each chance they get. now theirs to many people with there cell phones during the movie. the employees don't check in. when you make a complaint they expect you to come out during the movie, and miss part of the movie. I payed for this why should i miss part of the movie just because the employees are to lazy to do there job. this has happened more then once. don't waist your time going there. read more

Seats comfy - high back seats and lots of leg room. Staff friendly and competent. My favorite theatre around the burbs and concession is good, popcorn is always fresh. Location is great as can visit chapters or winners before or after a movie. Weekend nights can be busy, especially if popular movie, going during the day on Saturday or Sunday can be a better alternative to finding a good seat. read more

First time in my life i got horrible customer service, i went to the movies with my fiance, friend and brother. i understand i came in a little late but i went to the cashier to ask how full was the movie, and the manger behind the girl said " if you would have came earlier you would have found out" in the rudest way possible, is that how you treat a person who is paying your bills? I dont think so. and the cashier started laughing which made me angry but i didnt say anything since it was cheap tuesday and it was packed... Not happy, learn to give your managers proper training on customer service.... read more

brand new seats in all theatres, Ultra AVX in 12 and the staff is as friendly as can be, I love coming here.
