I love this place! Its an old fashioned, small theater. As I entered, the owner was at the door greeting his customers. It's a cute place

I usually get popcorn and…read morethe usual movie snacks but I was feeling something more filling so decided to get outtakes. I got their chicken buffalo poutine and donuts, both of which were sooo good! The poutine was so flavourful and the chicken was crispy and saucy. The donuts were soft and they gave a caramel dipping sauce on the side which made it even better. Both the items were freshly made which definitely added to the taste. Giving one star less because the bathrooms in the cinema weren't clean despite there being so many stalls. It was the last show of the night but I've been to other cineplex and none have been this bad. The only time I come to this location is if I want to watch a bollywood movie!

I was very happy to learn that the gravy on the poutine was vegetarian so I'd be able to eat it! Not an awesome poutine but it was better than I expected. Think I'd have preferred a larger serving of it but...it's a movie theatre and not a Costco so I guess I can't really complain about it! When I went to get our popcorn the person working at the counter asked me if I'd like to add butter or not. It costs extra for them to add butter so I took the popcorn as it was. Funny thing is...this theatre has dispensers where you can pump your own butter on to the popcorn. Why would anyone pay extra to add butter when they can pump the butter themselves for free?! From previous experience at a different SilverCity, they did ask last time whether we'd like to have the butter layered. So...I guess having different layers of butter throughout the bag as opposed to just one layer of it on top might be just cause for charging slightly more but...is it really worth an extra few dollars more?! The popcorn seems to already be kinda buttered already even without asking them to add butter or dispensing the butter yourself. I could see that some of the kernels were white and some were more yellowish from having butter on them. Service: Good Parking: Plentiful and free

Terrible service…read more There are two ticket machines out side of door but one of them's transaction machine was not working. I was almost late for movie time and there were long lineup after me. I was sure everyone were so frustrated not to catch the movie on time. I talked to the receptionist/cast member but she was busy for dealing her smart phone (don't bring it at workplace especially while you are talking to the customer) Three hours later, after I watched the movie, the transaction machine still had no sign like out of order. Even they haven't opened physical ticket booth. One other cast member was just walking around telling "Thank you for coming". It doesn't make any sense and no help at all. They pretend they were doing best without any effort.

The cinema was very clean, spacious, and excellent overall, with plenty of parking. The theater itself was spotless, and the staff were very friendly. As for *The IMAX Experience® in 70MM*, it really needs no introduction--it was absolutely stunning and top-tier. If you're unsure about the best seating angle, it really depends on the movie! For a film like *Project Hail Mary*, which has a family-friendly tone with strong space visuals, sitting too far back isn't ideal--being a bit closer helps you truly immerse yourself in the scenes and the scale of space. But for movies like *Dune* (based on the trailer we saw), middle or back seats are definitely better.

We went Saturday night and there were mainly self check kiosks and one cashier (who was very nice). The staff were also very pleasant and tended to each customer efficiently. The guests were definitely the same... they left a mess as soon as the movie was over so I feel for all theatre staff having to do clean up. We saw 3D and had recliner seats but they weren't necessarily filled with comfort. Just seemed a little run down. Washrooms were clean just no auto flush sensors.

Got try popcorn and when I got to my car, We noticed The popcorn had lots of speckles of black carbon (burnt popcorn bits or the carbon built up in the cooking kettle ) on them. The popcorn did not taste burnt, so must be the filthy kettle...too lazy to clean it after it has been sitting there unused during COVID lock down!!!! We also got several black kernels and popcorns in our bag. Took it back and I heard the supervisor said to one of the staff that "they all looked like that...". She then continued to shovel them into the individual popcorn bags for future customers. My cashier looked into the bagged popcorns and said "this one is ok" then dumped half of the bag into the contaminated popcorn, pumped some butter in them, then added the contaminated popcorn to top up then more butter....I looked at it and picked from the top three burnt popcorns and placed them just. The counter and said, looks like they're all contaminated with burnt stuff - carbon from the kettle..she said "oh, that's how they are!!!" I was shocked and asked for a refund to which she refused and the supervisor said nothing and walked away...I guess when there was as no other customers around, they don't care...oh, and there were at least 8 staff members standing behind the counter doing nothing really. They should dump all the popcorn,CLEAN the kettle and start over! What a waste of $10.50 large popcorn! So much wanted to support Meadowtown Cineplex...never again, will be driving to Langley if we ever go to the movies again!!!

That said, the popcorn was filled to the brim with that buttery goodness one would expect from a cinema outing. While it was a bit salty, the extra salt averted the need to run to the restroom during a three-hour long film and that was appreciated as it allowed me to enjoy the film in its totality. The food court offered: hot dogs, pulled-pork burgers, and fries: not a large selection of items but delicious especially when you consider the decent amount of toppings offered at the topping bar. The restroom was accommodating although some of the toilets would not flush as if they had been overused and had long since given up the ghost. Nevertheless, I was able to perform the deed in peace. I didn't know that my husband had purchased special tickets with motion vibrating seats, synchronized to the movie sounds effects. I spent the first 5 minutes completely annoyed that my chair wouldn't recline and an annoying massage feature to go along with that. After learning it was a special feature, I turned it back on. The vibrations do add to the experience, but I can't say that it is for me. The vibrating seats are stiff, narrow and very upright. I'd much rather have plush reclining seats as an added feature. The seat next to me had its rubber seat trim fallen off and hanging on the floor ++tripping hazard on the upper row. I appreciate all the innovative and different movie viewing options offered at this location. I even saw a sensory viewing option for autistic viewers??
