Ever since the upgraded this theater to full luxury recliners, I can safely say that this is my favorite theater in the area. Not only is it centrally located, but if you go on Tuesday, the luxury seats are still only $5!! As with m ost Cinemark brand theaters, it is clean, well kept, and high quality. The concessions are of course overpriced, but what movie theater isn't. Skip the Megaplex, and come here.... Or don't, more room for myself :) read more

Tuesdays would be the only day to go here. $5 tickets are a great deal. With online purchasing (through a 3rd party) this can be really simple. Staff have always been friendly. NO REFILLS on a $6 drink = go somewhere else. We have come to quite a few movies here this year but we will probably not go back. I would not recommend it! It's generally dirty, there are often treats and popcorn under your seat when you get there. They don't appreciate their customers much at all. They basically offer you no value. NO refills on anything even when you buy the largest. They wouldn't even fill my cup with water. their loyalty program is a joke. It's no wonder Megaplex is sucking all the business away. I would recommend finding a different venue to see your movies at! Also there is a center line on most of their screens. Not sure whether it's their projectors being out of date or the screens but there is a noticeable 5 foot section that is of different brightness that distracts from the movie. read more

As far as a fun trip to the movies goes, this is a great spot. The theaters are small and each seat is an electric recliner which makes for a comfortable experience. I like watching movies with a lot of space and comfort which is why this has become my preferred theater. The only major downside is the sound. I wish that they had Dolby Atmos in a theater or two, but as it is with most places, there is a trade-off. I still prefer seating over sound and to top it all of Cinemark has a great movie rewards program. read more

4 stars because this theater is new, and close to my house. The staff here is very friendly. They always seem to be in a good mood, which is refreshing. The facilities are always clean, and the concessions are priced exactly as they should be. Expensive. As far the theater itself, they have a pretty solid variety of showings and showtimes. Most of their auditoriums are identical, with cloth seats and similar sizes. Last night I sat on the top row, and was stupid enough to pick a spot that was right behind a hand railing. If you look at my tip, you can see what I am talking about. I couldn't wrap my head around why there are only 4-6 stairs worth of hand rails, but the railing doesn't go all the way down. I had to watch the entire movie with a black raililng going right down the middle of the movie screen - and there wasn't much I could do about it. I wish the seating was a little steeper, as to be able to see over the people in front of you more easily. If you get unlucky and someone tall sits in front of you, you will more than likely be looking at a little bit of the back of their head. Personally, I think that the larry h miller megaplex theaters are much better. OVERALL - it is a decent movie theater. Newer, lots of showtimes, and decently comfortable seats. read more

This is, bar-none, the best movie theater in Utah County. It is in an amazing location with lots of dining options from a pizza place that is very kid friendly, to a sports bar with amazing wigs to an Italian restaurant serving some pretty authentic fare. The facility is very clean and spacious. The lines are managed effectively as to keep anyone coming to a movie in the uttmost comfort. The concessions has some of the best options and allows the purchaser a lot of choice in how much or little they want of things and are still pretty fairly priced for the Cinemark brand. I have seen one other reviewer comment on the parking. I admit that there is very little parking right at the front. Most of the parking is off to the side but the walk from those parking stalls is no further than the walk from car to any other theater in the county. Moreover, this parking lot is managed in such a way that there are a lot less people zipping through the lot at excessive speeds. This is the best places to see movies in Utah county. read more

I have been to this cinema a few times and especially enjoyed the visit today because of the new recliners! Think: big, comfortable lounges that recline. Plenty of room. Feet up and relaxed. And all still clean and new. And they didn't cost any extra. We got a large popcorn and a refill was included. Enjoyable afternoon! read more

I'm so glad they finally build a movie theater that doesn't seem to cater specifically to high school freshman who have their parents drop them off for the 7:50 showing of the newest Pixar film or chick flick. It's big, it's spacious, and the sound quality in the theaters is really good. While I appreciate this theater mostly for it's location and it's attracting demographic, there are some things that aren't really working... - For a theater that was opened right before winter in Utah to only have self-serve kiosks outside is asinine. Tonight, the place was packed both inside and outside. Waiting in line outside in 20 degree weather to get tickets sucks. - While the inside of each theater is spacious, the lobby to get to your respective theater is far too small. Perhaps it's the fact that they weren't expecting such large crowds to be drawn here, but that's no excuse. - The snack bar is more like moving through a mini-cafeteria. You have to move through a line as if you should have a tray in your hand just to get to the register. These faults aside, I like this place. I'll go back just to avoid the teen crowds. Seriously? I have been here many times with my family. I love the recliner seating and they have great popcorn. Only complaint is they do not give one free refill on large drinks. Megaplex theatres give one free refill on large popcorns and on large drinks. I thought this theater was the same but quickly found out by a rather rude employee that there are no drink refills at all. Too bad, this would have been my favorite theater. I will come back here at some point but just not as often. read more

I'm been coming here for years- we even recently signed up for the monthly movie club. So off to the movies tonight- we even bought a 2018 popcorn tub tonight to go with our yearly drink cup we got earlier this year. Do I sit down for the movie and my chair DOES NOT RECLINE. The previews were on and I settled for the fact that my seat was broken. After the movie I went out to inform them of the issue- I was told they sometimes become unplugged. I asked for a replacement ticket for another time- the gal went to ask the GM came back several minutes later with a card for a junior popcorn for free next time. I just spend $35 and was shown how un-valuable my patronage is. This place has become a joke- Megaplex is much nicer- larger- and they have never treated me that like. read more

New theatre, central location showing lots of great movies. Good call for an evening out with the lady or lad friend of yours? No. This place is a recipe for disaster. It is crowded and the punk kids that hang out here because they don't have their drivers license yet are annoying. Concessions are great, service is awesome, but this place is way too popular and crowded for the room they provide. Parking on a weekend night is nearly impossible. It turns into a barrel of sharks swarming one piece of meat. I hate that. The theatres fill SUPER fast and the front few rows at this theatre are beyond too close to the screens. I got to A-Team 10min early on a Friday opening night and was forced to sit on the second row from the front on the far left side. "But dude, that happens. Get over it." True, but why fight the crowds and the crap-a** parking when you can go to Wynnsong 5 min to the north and not have to deal with that crap? They are fighting for their life now that this new Cinemark has been built and you will find smaller crowds, 10x the parking the same quality screens and audio. If your a movie snob like me, just drive to Thanksgiving Point theatres. You can reserve your seats online and forget about the hassle completely. Huray. read more

My husband and I came here on a Tuesday night, because one; we have a gift card and two; $5 Tuesday. The line for tickets was very quick we hardly had a wait time at all. Once we grabbed our tickets we got in another long line to have our tickets checked. The police officer who was on duty in the building actually took our tickets for us and directed us to the theatre our showing was in. The movie quality and sound were pretty good! Concessions lines were also very quick. Not bad for a busy evening! I'll be back for sure. read more

Good movie theatre. Super busy almost every day but they do manage to keep it clean for the most part. As busy as it is there is still good customer service and friendly staff. If you get anything besides popcorn it does take a little bit sometimes. Just make sure if you're coming to this location to get your tickets ahead of time as they are always sold out of good seats. read more

Best place to see the latest blockbuster in the Orem/Provo area. It's a little more pricey (.75 more) then Wynnsong in Provo but its a lot more comfortable and cleaner too. I love all the food options that you have compared to other theaters in the area. Thursday-Saturday nights are insane, so arrive early. read more

Always enjoyed watching movies here. Staff is accommodating and nice. Chairs are comfy and theaters are clean and nice. Only thing that's a negative is some of the theaters are small. Sometimes that means a movie will be sold out quickly. If you want to see a movie here I'd reserve tickets or get there a little early. read more

I only watch movies at my local Cinemark theater. After reading the article below, I will never invest my money for a business who allows this type of discrimination. Article from Facebook: My 12-year-old son and 13-year-old nephew experienced racial profiling for the first time in their young Tongan lives after attending a movie last night at Cinemark University Mall movie theaters in Orem, Utah. They were stopped by Security without cause, a crosswalk length away from our apartment property. They had already exited the movie theaters and were literally crossing the street behind the theater towards our apartment complex when they were chased down and escorted back into a packed movie theater (on a Saturday night might I add), questioned, harassed, embarrassed and accused of stealing a small bag of Takis chips and a small container of pink lemonade ice cream. Their crime? Combining the ice cream & drinks they bought AFTER their movie with their unopened snacks and left-over popcorn that was purchased PRIOR to the movie and walking out of the movie theater doors with too many snacks. I mean 2 young Tongan boys couldn't possibly have the amount of money needed to purchase ALL of those concession snacks on their own, could they? Of course not. They stole the snacks. It is the only explanation. Right? They were then escorted back through the front doors and pressured to produce proof of purchase in the form of a receipt; a receipt that was never initially handed to them in the first place. They were then instructed to stand-by while cashiers scrolled through their most recent sales transactions and other staff checked security camera footage to disprove their story. A random janitor kid, pushing a broom across the movie theater floors, was assigned to "watch them incase they run." All unwarranted assumptions fueled by personal bias and racial profiling. And all done without a phone call to inform me, the parent, of the situation at hand and to confirm the fact that my son & nephew were sent to the movies with enough cash in their pockets for whatever concession snacks caught their eye. In the end, the truth was enough. Cashier transaction records showed that their items were indeed paid for. And to further add injury to insult, they were each given a guest pass for a free movie...you know, for the next time they want to risk being harrassed again. It appeared that their intentions were to minimize the traumatic effects of the previous 30 minute ordeal involving their false accusations and provide a courtesy ticket to replace the time wasted while my son & nephew were being held up by a broomstick yeilding janitor while evidence was being collected against them. Either way, this was not the type of incident that can or should ever be easily silenced with a FREE pass of any kind--as if this situation could be that simply compensated for without consequence. It will require alot more than an "oops" response, a piece of paper and a free movie pass to fix anything at this point. But a public, sincere apology to my son & nephew would be the perfect place to start. I must admit though, that the final outcome was far more favorable than the alternative. My son and nephew made it home safely and escaped a potentially dangerous situation. So many things could have gone wrong. They could have run out of pure fear and be justified, but the movie theater Security would also justify the use of their visible belt-holstered tasers. Police enforcement would have been called upon and 2 scared & confused young Tongan boys would've been transported straight to the Juvenile Detention Center and booked-in on presumed charges that would be left unheard by a Juvenile Court Judge until Monday morning. Yes, things could have gone wrong...terribly wrong. Thankfully nothing more happened; Hopefully it doesn't happen again; Realistically, history repeats itself. So, what can we do? Be alert. Be aware. Be concerned. Be informed. Racial Profiling exists! Teach your young Tongan or Minority sons how to react & respond under pressure. Teach them how to avoid conflict and to call their parents for help immediately if they feel unsafe. This is one of Cinemark's newest theaters in the valley. They keep it clean and it looks really nice inside. Staff is friendly, popcorn is delicious. Most of the theaters are pretty small, so buy your tickets in advance as there is assigned seating! They have scanners for mobile tickets from Fandango, so I think that's the way to go. read more

When I came in, the girls running the snack bar were extremely rude and I was prepared to have my movie going experience ruined but I was impressed with the seating and comfort that was provided once in the theater. Horrible horrible experience at this movie theater. My husband and I purchased tickets earlier in the day with a gift card. We went back later for our movie, realizing we left the tickets at home which was 15 min away. We asked the manager if there was anyway we could show ID to prove we purchased tickets which she said no so we asked for a refund. She refused to give us a refund. We were very confused, because they basically just toke our money by not letting us see the movie even though no one would be seating in those seats and wouldn't refund us. The manager had ZERO customer service. After arguing for over 20 minutes she rudely told us how pathetic we were and let us go in. The whole time I was just so shocked with the the customer service I couldn't even enjoy the movie. We will NOT be returning to this theater. We normally always go to megaplex but had a gift card for cinimark. We will continue our business with Megaplex. read more

This theater recently switched to reserved seating only, which if you're planning a one on one date, is just peachy! But for those who want to meet a whole group of friends and/or family it's a pain in the proverbial - you know what. To avoid mega planning headaches and being stuck with a massive theater bill because you're the lucky person who got to purchase all 6 at once in order to keep everyone together, try another theater. That aside, I love the set up of their concession which is set up grocery store style. It allows you to avoid long popcorn lines if you are just grabbing say, a bottle of water, and go straight to check out. The actual theaters are grand, with stadium seating and excellent sound (so far in my experience) as you would expect from a movie theater these days. I love coming to this theater. I've spilt my drink here before and they sent someone straightaway to help me clean it up before my movie. They then said, "you've paid for a drink, so go get a free refill on us". They're theater is usually pretty clean and I've never felt like there was something they should have done that they didn't to help my experience. The only con I see is that the theater is a little smaller than I would like, but they plan on adding the Giant screen soon :) read more

I would not recommend this theater. They are not family friendly. We brought our baby and the workers all looked at me funny. At not one of their restrooms has a changing table, I had to go and change my baby's diaper in my car. Also, the food is ridiculously priced. We got a large popcorn and drink and paid more than any theater I have been to. Anywhere else a large would mean a free refill. But at the Cinemark University Mall, there are no refills. I was not, in anyway, impressed with this theater. And I assure you, I will never go back. read more
