I didn't run into any issues, other than having to sit all the down at the front front neck break row. Thanks to the comfortable, reclining seats it wasn't too straining on the neck. I'm not from the area, but it seems like a nice theatre. Sixteen screens to boot. That's a good amount of movies to choose from... Men's restroom was in working order. I wouldn't have a problem returning. read more

Love the new renovations. The new leather recliners are top-notch. I just hope they can hold up for a while. It will be great once they get the kitchen/refreshment area complete as well. I'm looking forward to having tea as an option instead of just soda, wine, and beer. read more

Cinemark - Fried Brussels - Cinema Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

My husband and I live about 5 minutes from the AMC at Southpoint, but we always choose to visit this theater when we can. The Raleigh Grande 16 rocks. It has comfortable, reclining chairs, spaced out seating, incredible popcorn and soft drinks, and great service. My only complaint is that as a Movie Pass user, it's often hard to get seats. There are not a lot of seats in each room, and by the time we get to the ticket booth (even 45 minutes before showtime) most are sold out. read more

Cool movie theatre, saw heriditary here last night and it was an enjoyable experience. Very popular movie theatre so I'd recommend buying tickets online and selecting your seats to have the best experience. Parking was easy, movie theatre was clean and the actually cinematic experience was enjoyable. Oh and expect the same soul sucking prices for condiments like most movie theatres ;) read more

I love this place! Great service! Really clean, the staff was really nice. They were out of pickled jalapeños, and they got me fresh ones which is even better. Definitely coming agin! read more

Just a suggestion I went to Cinemark Raleigh grande in nc and I was enjoying the movie till  big roach fell of the ceiling this was two weeks ago while watching ad astra, then this weekend I went to watch the joker the same movie theater since this is my favorite and I saw on the wall between the seats another big roach walking by . Please guys pay attention to it since you serve food in that theater, please take action. This is a nice place to go and honestly I don't want to stop going because of this read more

I took my friend to see Beyoncé's Renaissance film tonight in Auditorium 1 for her birthday and a lady screamed really loud and said she saw a mouse a few rows down from us. We really wanted to finish the movie, so we kept our seats reclined in hopes that we would be fine and it would not come up to our row. About 30 minutes later, I noticed that a mouse had climbed in the empty seat next to me where my food tray was sitting, so our whole row dispersed after that! I notified a manager to give them a heads up and he apologized and gave us free passes, but after reading other reviews, I have noticed 10 other reviews alone that solely mention mice in the auditoriums at this theater, so this seems to be a serious ongoing issue there. As a result, I will not be returning to this theater again. I used to work for Cinemark, so I have always valued my experience with Cinemark, but this is a hard stop for me! I contacted Corporate and they did respond to say that they have called an Exterminator to come out and they will be issuing me a refund as well, so I do appreciate the prompt response, but I hope they really strive to take care of this Issue. read more

Oh my! this place is fantastic! My son, a Millennial, and myself, a Boomer, both agree on the coolness of the Raleigh Grande. Reclining adjustable seats, 3D, Brussels sprouts with balsamic vinegar, truffle cooked fries, and a glass of wine, all at the same time!!!! Seriously TMF! read more

We enjoyed our visit to Raleigh Grande! It was affordable for the tickets and the chairs were really comfy! The popcorn, snacks, and soda was pricey, but that is par for the course. I do wish you could reserve online without all of the convenience fees that are a few dollars per ticket. We will be back! read more

Love coming here for a movie experience. Great staff, love the different menu items, and I can get wine! Lol!

It was nice to see all the theaters offering $3 tickets for Labor Day Weekend on Saturday, but Cinemark failed on their concessions. Normally they have some of the best popcorn, but the POPCORN was too SALTY it was UNEATABLE and their SODA MACHINES were ALL BROKEN because they said their CO2 was not working. Instead the drinks had to be purchased by the Bottle and they were all room temperature. read more

How have I never been here before!? My little lady and I had a movie date here last week and had a splendid time. I love love that you can reserve your seats online. I also love they have showtimes starting at 9:30am. You have no idea how awesome that is for a mom, like me, that only has a few hours a week alone while my kid is at school. I can pop in and see a movie before she gets out of preschool! It's also a good time for my daughter to see a movie before lunch/cranky possessed time kicks in. Win win for the whole crew. The theater appeared cleaned and the reclining seats are crazy comfy too. A+ in my book. read more

Comfy reclining seats, need I say more? Ok, a few more. They don't serve food to you but that's OK in my book. You can reserve seats ahead of time, but will pay a convenience fee or can just get tix when you arrive. Since we live about 30 min away and wanted to catch a popular movie, Rogue, we decided to ensure we got them ahead of time. The theater was clean and not that large. read more

While this theater is usually our first choice, tonight it was a disappointment! We decided to order tickets online to avoid waiting, only to find out that our theater had NO air conditioning. Maybe Cinemark needs to consider informing customers prior to selling tickets! Had we known.. we would have went anywhere else! The movie would have been more enjoyable with air conditioning. read more

First time going to the theater since Covid. Mask wearers were sparse (as expected). Service was pretty quick. If you order food they give you a buzzer and bring it outside the theater door - which is great. Still your typical theater. Lots of popcorn on floor. Seats were not the greatest but I'd likely return. read more

The Raleigh Grande is one of four locations owned by Carolina Cinemas, and easily one of my favorite spots to catch a movie. The most recent renovation has totally transformed this theater. Instead of the stained, worn out seating, there are now comfortable leather recliners. While the CineBistro in Cary has a better menu, the Raleigh Grande is my preferred choice. Purchasing tickets online is simple, and you can pick your seat. The beer menu is fantastic, and the prices aren't outrageous. If you're ordering food off of the menu, then you'll get a buzzer. When the buzzer goes off, you wait a minute and then pick up your tray of food from just outside the theater. This is a minor inconvenience, but I actually think it's more streamlined than the CineBistro's process of ordering at your seat. I really like the trend of movie theaters focusing more on the customer experience and not trying to cram more seats in. While the Raleigh Grande is a bit of a drive from downtown Raleigh, I will gladly be making the trip again. I'll definitely be going to North Hills a lot less. Tips: (1) Try to arrive 30 minutes before your movie starts so you can get your food order before the lights dim/previews start. (2) There is a rewards program and you get a free popcorn when you sign up online. read more

WHOA. Talk about an upgrade! I've been coming here for years & it's been my favorite theater in the Raleigh area. But the renovations make it even more amazing! Reclining chairs. Yes. Large, plush, high enough that my feet don't touch the floor (and I'm a tall 5'10"), and you can adjust your chair as to how much you want to recline. I mean, technically if the movie's so bad, you could just lay there and take a nap. Each chair also has an adjustable tray table with a drink holder. Eventually, they plan on having "real(er)" food and beer/wine on tap. The only downside is that you have to choose your seats? So now when you buy tickets, and you want to sit with your friends, you got to make sure to reserve seats next to each other. For instance, tonight I sat in H-12 (H is the top row & 12 is fairly in the middle right). This isn't a huge negative for me, but now you know so you'll be prepared!!! read more

My new favorite movie theater! The comfortable, lounge chairs are incredible - and afford you with plenty of space to relax and watch your movie. Also, just recently found out about their summer movie deal for kids - $1 / ticket Monday and Wednesday of select weeks. Love read more

I have never written a review before. That being said, I have never been so pissed off by a worker. Everything other than this one worker was great, but those two stars being taken away are completely her fault. She was in the ticket booth earlier tonight. My friend and I wanted to take my little sister to see a movie. For context she just turned 11 in March, so I asked for one adult ticket and one child ticket. She looks my sister up and down and then looks at me and says "yeah I don't believe that", after I said her age. Other than my word, how tf am I supposed to prove her age. It's not like she has a license or is carrying her birth certificate. It's not even about having to spend the couple of extra dollars, I couldn't fucking care less about that. It's the fact she looked my sister up and down, then refuses to believe me. As if I am lying so I don't have to spend 3 extra dollars. Who cares that much about 3 dollars?! If I hadn't already been late for the movie, I would've stood there arguing with her. However, since I was late I just told her to give me two adult tickets. Like I said, I don't care about 3 dollars. I care that she basically called me a liar over 3 fucking dollars. I am not that cheap. I never argue with workers, complain about them, or feel the need to write a review. But, this really pissed me off and I just felt the need to write about it. read more

I haven't reviewed the Raleigh Grande in a few years and after the renovations, this place is even better than ever! Not only did they switch it up to have the most comfortable seating with reclining chairs that literally feel like your at home on your couch, but they've expanded their menu outside traditional movie theater fare and now offer dinner options as well. I will admit, it's not the best food, but it is definitely a cool experience. Plus, they still have a great selection of beers on tap from several local breweries to enjoy while you watch your film. The Raleigh Grande is still cheaper than the Regal and offers a whole lot more. One tip, you should definitely purchase your seats in advance! read more

My wife and I have been going to this theater for a decade. They've steadily made improvements along the way including a new projection system, sound systems, and screens. You can drink wine and beer. The popcorn is the freshest, constantly popped. They have a safe environment that isn't crowded at all. The one drawback (and the reason I'm not giving them 5 stars) is the old cloth seats. While they do have great stadium seating, the cloth seats haven't been replaced in years. I'm going to change my rating from four stars to five. RG is finally, FINALLY putting in new seats! They're also installing a full kitchen and menu! So in addition to the freshly popped popcorn and alcoholic beverages, you'll be able to order a meal! Fantastic. I know the management. They're excited, too. I"ve always loved this theater (fully 4K digital). Now I have more reasons to like it. read more

I love the Raleigh Grande so much more than any of the other commercial movie theaters in the Raleigh/Cary area. It's ever-so-slightly off the beaten, so I don't think everyone flocks here like they do to the other obnoxiously crowded theaters in the area. Carolina Cinemas owns the Raleigh Grande, along with only three other theaters (Asheville, Charlotte, Garner), so this place really seems like a massive indie theater showing a lot of blockbusters, with a few independent ones thrown in for good measure. My husband and I are movie buffs and host an Oscars-watching party every year. We spend the fall and winter doing little in our spare time but watching films with Oscar buzz, but there are always one or two sleepers that we missed during their initial theatrical release. Most of those we can catch at the Galaxy, the Rialto, or Carolina Theatre, but the Raleigh Grande is the ONLY place in the Triangle that consistently has that one straggling Oscar-nominated flick playing at the last minute: last year it was Rachel Getting Married, this year it was An Education. They never let us down. We've also been to see a few more mainstream flicks. Last week, on our fifth visit to the theater, we saw Toy Story 3 in 3D (that movie is utterly delightful, by the way and, if you don't tear up even a little at the end, then you are a monster). Now, I found the price steep---$10.50 per ticket even at matinée time---so, next time I'll probably just go with the regular, uh, 2D version. I just got all caught up in the 3D trend, but I probably should've realized that it just isn't necessary to see Toy Story 3 in 3D. But as 3D goes, this place won't let you down. I saw Avatar at IMAX, but I really don't think it would've made a difference if I'd seen it there or here. I find the seats incredibly cushy and comfortable, the place clean, the staff courteous, the sound superior, the popcorn delicious, and---hello!---they serve local brews! Also, when I'm not doing alcohol, I opt for Coke Zero, which is my absolute favorite soda, and is found at only a select few theaters in the area. All of these things make the Raleigh Grande, to me, as good as it gets. read more

This is one of my favorite theaters to go see a movie and it is also conveniently located near my house. Yes, as some people have mentioned, it is a slightly older theater, but it is generally clean and the seating is comfortable. I have been going here since it opened as the first stadium-seating theater in Raleigh. It is a little bit cheaper than North Hills and less crowded, which is the main reason I would prefer Raleigh Grande over North Hills any day. They have plenty of parking and a good selection of concessions including many different options of local beers. Josh and I enjoy getting beers from time to time when we go to this theater and I find the prices to be very reasonable on the draft beers considering this is a movie theater. I have found the crowds to be more pleasant here than in some of the other theaters in the area. Josh and I have gotten picky about which theaters we will go to see movies for this reason. We haven't had an experience here with people answering their phones, talking loudly, etc. during a movie as we have at many other theaters. It's a good place to go to see a movie! read more

Nothing but good things to say about Raleigh Grande. They play movies, they are conveniently located off of Glenwood Ave. The parking lot is easy and I have no trouble finding a spot. I've been to the Raleigh Grande twice recently to see "American Hustle" and "August Osage County." Both movies I saw were on weekend afternoons though the theatre was full I was still able to find seats together for my friends and I. The popcorn is always fresh and the staff is friendly. I really like that the Raleigh Grande serves beer and wine. Surprisingly you can get a pretty good local beer for $5 and wine for $6. You can even order an entire bottle of wine for $18. Really you are paying the same or less for alcohol here then in a restaurant so unlike the popcorn, candy, and sodas you are not getting ripped off on the alcoholic beverages! There are a few restaurants and bars that are right around the movie theatre if you wanted to grab a bite to eat before or after the show. The stadium seating in the theatre is nice as well. Even though I love Mission Valley, & The Rialto, Raleigh Grande is right up there as one of my go to places to check out a film. read more

Like the other reviews say, this theater is getting to be a bit on the old side when in comparison to the other bigger, newer, more modern theaters, but it really is a hidden treasure. It's kind of off the beaten path of Glenwood so not everyone is fully aware of it which means less crowds. Ticket prices are average, while the toilets are beaten up toilet seats and carpets could certainly use some replacing. The seating is average in terms of comfort and size of actual theaters. The staff is friendly and easygoing. It's got the lovely Lynnwood Grille nearby for a bite to eat before catching a flick if you want to sit down or you can get some food at the concessions, but if not there's tons of variety at the counter. They even serve beer and wine! I don't think I've ever taken advantage of it, but they've got a decent selection to choose from when I do. I caught a show here this past Saturday night and was satisfied. I'm also glad to keep the old timey stuff around and in living color too. read more

What an impressive makeover. I will admit, it was starting to look a little rough last year... But now, it's truly the hottest movie theater out there! Recliner seats, spacious cinemas, and a large menu of food options! You have to choose your seat in advance (when you're buying your ticket) but I love it that way. No hassle trying to get multiple seats in a row if you go with a group! I haven't tried any of their food yet but the dishes I've seen looked really impressive! Definitely something I will try time next time I'm there! Oh and on Tuesdays, movie tickets are $6. With their spacious seating arrangement, superb recliners and up to date movies, it's therapeutic!! read more

We love this theater so much! Roomy seats and a decent selection of food. There is a theater (with recliners but not near as nice) closer to our home which is about 20 min away but we go here instead. If you join the rewards it pays for itself and you get a lot of discounts! read more

The movie has been renovated over the last couple of years and it has elevated the experience by far. Comfortable seats with recliners, dividers that prevent the person behind you from kicking your seat. Bar, with a nice lunch and dinner menu. This is definitely not your standard movie theater. Want to see a movie at a theater? I've been spoiled by raleigh grande where I can't imagine spending money on going to a theatre unless it is here. It is terrific. We can lounge in the recliner chair and watch a movie w waiter service that delivers food. i am generally on the move trying to fit too much in one day! every once in a blue moon I have taken advantage of the "dinner and a movie" experience here with the kiddo. I fell asleep once bc of how comfortable it was. Outside of the typical popcorn and a soda - We have ordered healthy sandwiches, endless nachos and margarita pizza..oh did I mention they have an adult beverage selection? that is eyebrow raising ( in a good way) ... down fall is bad parking Bc it's so busy and well massagers built into the chairs would be nice. Cinemark - Cinema Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

Confession: I must have been living under a rock for the past few years. Reason: I've finally stumbled across this theater. I mean, who cares about the silly IMAX when you can recline and watch a movie. DUH??!! We ended up here as our movie of choice wasn't playing at the old faithful theater (Brier Creek). I was tickled when the ticket agent, complete with customer service skills, explained we needed to select our seats. Even though our party of 5 couldn't all sit together, we didn't care! The kids were in heaven and so were the adults. I'll endure any number of kid movies if we go here from now on. Seats were super comfy. I just know to reserve seats ahead of time moving forward. Truth: ok I picked the kid movie. Still a kid at heart I guess. read more

My girlfriend and I recently went to go see A Single Man at this theater. An interesting "It's a Wonderful Life" life film. It was directed by designer Tom Ford of Gucci resurrection fame. The film is heavily focused on the appreciation of the subtle things in life. VERY visually focused. Colin Firth received an Oscar Nomination for his performance in this film. Very emotional performance. A lot of emotion comes from the eyes. Which is why it is such a shame that I didn't get to see them. The projector in the theater was improperly set up for the film and was cutting off the actors eyes. Very distracting in scenes where those eyes are pouring with tears and emotion. I went to the snack counter and asked that the projector be fixed. They did resolve the issue, I thought. It was now cutting off a bit of the edges of the film instead of the top. Less distracting, but still somewhat removes the viewer from the Director's intentions. Anyway, this is a basic thing that theaters should be taking care of. I wonder how many people saw this film before me with it improperly displayed and people missing out on a great deal of an Oscar nominated performance. I won't be back. read more

Been to this theater twice and will probably be back since it is so close to the house, but it isn't great. As prices go, this place is expensive compared to what I used to pay in Chicago. You'd think Chicago would have more expensive movies, but I could go to a matinee for $4.50-$5.50 depending on the theater. This place is $7.25 for a matinee. According to them, they are the cheapest around for a 1st run theater. My husband and I just moved to Raleigh and we used to go see a couple of movies every weekend. We won't be doing that down here or we'll wait until it hits the second run theaters. As for our visits, I will say that the employees seem pleasant and the place is fairly clean; however, both times the theaters were freezing. I wore a jacket and I was still cold. My husband who is never cold was even complaining. So, we'll be back (maybe with blankets) to see movies we REALLY want to see right away, but other than that, we're going to look to the second run theaters. read more

Sad to say this theater looks worse for the wear everytime I come. I love the location that it usually isn't too crowded, but it is getting really grungy and the seats are way beyond repair, they need to be replaced (pic attached). I like it will have the occasional art film too. I hope they rehab it and can grow there business as it is a Raleigh institution and I like to support local places. 1-20-2015 Note the owner said the theater will be rehabbed in April! read more

This is the only place we go now...however this past Sunday the service was horrible! We always order food and drinks. After waiting thru all the previews and the movie then starting Still no food...I walk to the front where the same girl who took my order was trying to find something to tell me after she realized my order obviously was overlooked. Asked me for my order again, walked around a bit then comes back and says they are plating it and someone would bring it too me...well another 10 mins or so go by and I'm furious so I am walking back down to the front when a server is coming in with my food. Cold fries and chicken tenders with old chips....I refused to leave again and miss anymore of the movie! No more ordering food for sure! read more

I'm 7 weeks postpartum and came here with my husband tonight for our first date night out since having the baby. My husband and I came here on Valentine's Day. I ordered my tickets ahead of time online. I printed them out but still had to wait in line to get our tickets. The theater was rather empty for the movie but it was early in the day. We got great seats. They don't recline or anything like that but they were comfortable which is most important. We also got some popcorn and 2 beers each. I love that they serve beer and wine! I never been to a theater that did so they definitely scored some bonus points with me. They also are not crazy over priced like popcorn and other drinks tend to be. We will be back! read more

Raleigh Grande is the best place to watch movies in Raleigh! They have the new recliner seated theaters for the similar price of movies at any other theater! Some other places who specialize and advertise the reclining seats and dining movie experience is a bit more expensive. I haven't gotten any main dishes, but did get some side dishes -- truffle fries and queso with chips and beers. You get the beer on draft from the worker at the front, but then they give you a buzzer. The buzzer is supposed to go off when the food is brought to the door of the theater you're in. We had a little confusion with it. The buzzer went off, we went out, but nobody was there. They ended up coming with the food minutes later. No biggie though. The food was in plastic bowls that looked fancy and silver plastic silverware. I thought that was a funny touch. Food was average, but I didn't expect to have the best. Overall a great and fun experience! read more
