What a surprise this place was! A ticket was $10.50 for mid afternoon weekday. Concessions were overpriced per usual, there's no discount for the meal deals. They just put all the prices together. So if you want say pretzel bites, then those pretzel bites are around $6.50 or if you want candy and soda together with them it's about $20. We went to see the movie goat. The surround sound and the view from the middle of the theater was great! The bathrooms were pretty tidy. The parking lot had enough room for everyone. One of the best finds was a Photo Booth that had a printout with goat themed multi picture view as a souvenir you can get. The Photo Booth takes credit cards or exact change cash. It's $8 read more

Happy National Popcorn Day! I was glad I got to spend my day off resting mainly, but I really wanted to see 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. So I got my cake mixing bowl and headed to this location. Most theatres have $5 fill up any bowl/purse/bookbag, or Lowe's bucket you have. The staff was great about it and even wanted to fill up the bag I had the bowl in. LOL! I got there in a flash, as the traffic was not that bad and parking was ample. I was happy to get there early enough for an hour to chill before the next showing, and I just played on my phone, and people watched for 50 mins, but they had arcade games if you got kiddos. I had a great seat for the show, but there was a guy who smelled like an ashtray, and I was like, LORD, I am the only one over here in row E. This was something that I should addressed and moved somewhere else. Next time. My ticket was free, so I could not complain too much. Sent was comfy, and the acoustics were great! 4 stars! read more

The movie was good and people who helped us with our food were very kind. However, after our movie, me and my friends wanted to get a photo taken in the photo booth. We put five dollars in and needed three more dollars to reach the amount needed. All we had was five dollar bills, so we split up the money. When I came back from splitting up the five dollar bill to five one dollar bills, it had said we ran out of time and needed to repay entirely. We thought, okay that's an issue on our part. We repaid. When we saw ourselves on the screen, we were unable to click any of the buttons to access the filters. We also couldn't click the button that said "ready" which would let us start taking the actual photos. I let someone know, however when someone actually came to the booth, the photos were automatically going, and the worker asked us "are you gonna take some photos?" while two had already been taken. I tried to explain that the buttons weren't working, and we didn't get the filters we wanted, but he walked away before I could explain anything. After the three photos were taken, two of just the blank background and one of me and my other friend barley getting into the booth, they went to the printing stage where it asked us to pick a background for the photos. Again, none of the buttons worked, so it's automatically set on a Super Mario theme, and printed four copies when there were only three of us. Waste of thirteen dollars. read more

Saturday night so movie time. No line to buy tickets and no issues with the app to scan my rewards card. Restrooms were clean, well stocked, and well maintained. Plenty of water fountains around. Seats appear to be different ages sometimes, but are still quite comfy and it's relaxing to lean back. The walkways in front of the seats are very roomy so it doesn't feel like a tripping hazard like some theaters. Staff was all friendly too. Sadly I was way too full from dinner to get any popcorn (very sad, they have the BEST popcorn). Always fun to go out to the movies. They even had some classics playing for low prices. read more

SUPER FUN cinema to have a drink, eat some popcorn & watch a flick! I've rarely patroned a movie theatre that serves alcoholic beverages but I do enjoy a good cider or beer with my movie. THIS place has the biggest and nicest recliner chairs with a cool little flip up and rotatery type table. SO convenient! We each got a drink and a big sharable popcorn. Was SUPER convenient to have the table and the recliners made it supppppper comfy! I really enjoyed the reclining back rest and also the foot rest! This is not my first choice of theater overall, but I really like it for "blockbuster" type movies. They have plenty of theaters for multiple showings, comfy chairs, and really good surround sound. Staff was very responsive when there was an issue with the AC in the theater. The popcorn is pretty good and they have all the old school movie candy you could want. If you're looking for something cheaper than AMC this is your place to go. That being said drinks and snacks are still movie theater expensive. But everyone is always so nice! They have reclining chairs and the moveable tables attached to the chair. Over all great experiences when coming. But, there was a movie I wanted to see on the big screen, and it was worth it. Especially because they have five dollar Tuesdays. They have plenty of showtimes, the seats are super comfy. The concessions are expensive, but honestly, not as expensive as I expected them to be. Service was friendly and efficient. The theater was clean. The picture was great. The sound was great. Overall, I give the theater visit a 2, but they have good sound quality, which bumps it up to a 3. Why such a low score? Well, this was my first time being here or to any cinemark theater, and I understand if an independent one screen theater doesn't do refills, but this is a big theater franchise. I couldn't believe it when I went to go get a refill on a small drink, I was told by the consession stand clerk that they don't do any refills of anything here. Really? My mom ordered tickets online for our movie. When we arrived she could not access her email to print the tickets. There was a man working on a broken machine, I think his name tag said Mr. Tillman. My mom asked if he could help us. She explained the situation, she tried looking for the email in her phone, eventually he said come on over and I'll take care of you. He walked us over to the counter and was kind enough to print us tickets so that we can view the movie on time. He was very kind, helpful, and made it seem like no big deal. He could've just as Easily blown us off, or simply not believe us and told us there was nothing he could do. Instead he went above and beyond and made sure that we were able to see the movie on time. I appreciate the fact that he took us at our word, and made sure that we enjoyed our evening. read more

I typically go here for the XD screen which has superb audio/video presentation. My ONLY complaint is that they no longer give free refills on large popcorns. Online snack ordering is also SUPER convenient, especially when you have kids with you. It's clean, the staff is friendly, there are games if you are in the mood for those and it has a bar. The theaters vary in sizes, some being pretty small and some being much larger. When purchasing tickets online you can see how many seats are in the theater and choose to your liking, we tend to lean towards the smaller theaters. The seats here are oversized and super comfortable. You can recline them, flip the tray in front of you and not worry about popcorn or drinks sitting in your lap. We can't wait to return! read more

So, when I walked in the movie theater I got a bunch of weird looks from the workers there. I went up to the concession stand and they refused to serve me. I bought tickets to see a rated R movie and got escorted out because they didn't think I was 18+ (even though I'm 31). When I visited Cinemark Theater to buy a large quantity of gift cards for our clients, the process was complicated due to fraud protection guidelines put in place by the company. Fortunately, the manager Shannon and the cashier Rosella were there to help! First, Shannon contacted the corporate office to see how we could make this work. Then, they patiently guided me through the gift card purchase, individually scanned 80 gift cards, then checked and re-checked each one to be sure everything was entered accurately. These Cinemark employees had a can-do attitude to make it happen, and they were pleasant and cheerful even though my transaction took more than an hour out of their day. Just saw premier showing of 'Book Club ' with Jane Fonda and Don Johnson. The story line is Jane Fonda and her three bbf's since college meet monthly to review a book. Jane brought the first '50 Shades of Grey' to the next meeting and the movie goes on from there. A hilarious movie with the story line based on 67plus women and their "love " life ( or lack of). This theatre was remodeled inside with comfy stadium seating and huge movie screens. read more

Meh. Some good (location, $5 matinee prices & uber comfy reclining chairs) the some bad primarily being consistently slow lines. I understand and am prepared to wait, especially during peak times like weekends. High traffic didn't seem to be the issue. There seemed to be no sense of hustle by the staff either at the ticket counter, but especially at concessions. My most recent experience everyone in my line and those on each side stood in place for 10 minutes with no movement. All in, we waited 20 minutes for popcorn and a drink, nearly missing the start of our movie. Once we reached the counter there was no mention, or apology, for the extraordinarily slow service. And the popcorn we waited for was barely edible, flavorless popcorn that was likely scraped from the bottom it mostly consisted off crumbs. We likely won't be regulars here. read more

It was a descent movie, but what is best about this location is their $5 matinee pricing. Perfect price considering many other theatres are still charging upwards of $10 for the same time. Yesterday, my wife and I were reminded why streaming a movie at home is far more relaxing than venturing out to a theater. It started with the redemption of our tickets. I bought the tickets online at home. Cinemark sent me a QR code and instructed us to "proceed directly to the ticket podium" when we arrived at the theater. The trick is there is no ticket podium when you arrive at the theater. We arrived right at the movie's advertised start time (more on that later). The line to purchase paper tickets was quite long as were the lines for the self-serve kiosks. Half the convenience of buying tickets online is that you can skip the ticket lines at the theater. What were we expected to do? I wandered around the lobby holding my cellphone looking like a right old boomer when a passing manager saw me and took pity. She walked me over to what looked like it may have been at one time a ticket podium, booted it up, and scanned my phone. Then she did likewise for other confused patrons shuffling behind me. I give her kudos for being polite, professional, and helpful. Our tickets scanned, my wife and I hurried through the halls for fear of being late to our movie. We shouldn't have worried. The trailers were already running as we took our seats. Yet there must have been at least 30 to 40 more minutes of trailers and commercials run before the actual movie started. As trailer after trailer played, I turned to my wife and asked incredulously, "Are you kidding me?". And I'm not talking about that pre-show, Entertainment-Tonight-like garbage they subject you to if you arrive early. The lights were dimmed. It was well past the movie start time. We were in trailer time. It was during this time that we turned our attention to adjusting our seats. The recliners in our theater were certainly cushy. Yet they feature a hard plastic tray fastened to the right armrest that doesn't really have much room for adjustment. It made holding my wife's hand uncomfortable. The chair's hold on me was quite snug. I don't mean to brag, but I have a slight build. If the recliner felt small to me, I can't imagine how uncomfortable they must be for people of a larger size. Also, if you attend a movie here and plan on adjusting the leg rest of your seat, I suggest doing so before the movie starts out of respect for your fellow moviegoers. The motor driving the recline feature is slow and loud. The sound of it straining along with the creak of the leather borders on comical. Speaking of disturbing your fellow moviegoers, here is my biggest complaint for this location. It is a haven for spoiled middle-schoolers who treat the theater as their own private clubhouse. To the four kids who ruined our movie with their fart noises and lame comments: Joel Hodgson you are not. Shut up and stop being so damn selfish. This location is the only theater in the area where I have experienced this level of rudeness. From being made to feel like an idiot while trying to redeem my tickets to not being able to fully enjoy the movie, I doubt I will return to this theater again in the near future. TL;DR? Ok, Cinemark at Polaris, here is my feedback: 1) If your not going to follow your company's guidelines for ticket redemption, make it clear to people when they enter the theater as to what is expected of them. 2) Don't show so many trailers. Sheesh. People often have to budget their time to squeeze in a movie. You're not doing any favors by advertising every upcoming movie from every studio. 3) The recliners sure look expensive, but they need some tweaking to be comfortable. 4) I don't know what you can do about unsupervised children. Maybe make it clear that there is a manager on duty? Advertise a code of conduct? read more

PROS -- Theater is clean and well-maintained. Restrooms are generally clean - especially considering the volume of customers. The theater has the latest digital projection and sound systems and the new comfy reclining seats. They also have matinee pricing until 6PM most days which allows for cost savings. CONS - parking can be a challenge and there are too many previews before the start of the feature attraction. Last week, we were there for a 5:30 showtime and the feature didn't actually start until 5:55 - a full 25 minutes of previews. read more

Used to love going to this theatre growing up, but my family and I recently went. All of us were surprised with the most uncomfortable chairs the whole movie. It did not recline all the way, legs were dangling off the chair, and it felt like our heads were being pushed forward the whole time. It was just not a comfortable experience because of the chairs. I have been to many other theaters in Columbus with much better chairs. However, this theatre does a great job with cleanliness. read more

We rented out the theater and had an absolute blast! I am not sure if they are still doing for the price but that is the way to watch Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back! They did an excellent job with cleanliness and were very friendly. We all felt very safe and enjoyed the private showing experience. They do serve alcohol at this location and even have frozen cokes with Jack Daniels. I would totally come back to this theater if we were in the area. read more

First time here and it was a little awkward walking in since we had already purchased tickets ahead of time, we weren't sure where the scanning people were but eventually found one. Of course you should never go to movie theatre with a family of 4 and expect to pay anything less than $50 for food and drinks. The concession lines were short and service was quick. Popcorn was good! The chairs in the theatre were a little on the smaller side (I'm used to chairs at Marcus which are larger/wider) so it took some getting used to. We purchased out tickets online to make it faster getting to our seats. Much to our surprise we have to get the tickets inside the vestibule when we arrive. Not a simple QR scan like other theaters. The kiosk line was as long as the ticket line. When it was out turn to enter the 14 digit number, Yes 14 digest. The touch screen was not working properly. Every entry took at minimum 5 touches. Finally off the our seats. The chairs are adequate except every time someone in the theater moved the seat would make the loudest awful noise. read more
