We rented out the theater and had an absolute blast! I am not sure if they are still doing for the price but that is the way to watch Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back! They did an excellent job with cleanliness and were very friendly. We all felt very safe and enjoyed the private showing experience. They do serve alcohol at this location and even have frozen cokes with Jack Daniels. I would totally come back to this theater if we were in the area. read more

First time here and it was a little awkward walking in since we had already purchased tickets ahead of time, we weren't sure where the scanning people were but eventually found one. Of course you should never go to movie theatre with a family of 4 and expect to pay anything less than $50 for food and drinks. The concession lines were short and service was quick. Popcorn was good! The chairs in the theatre were a little on the smaller side (I'm used to chairs at Marcus which are larger/wider) so it took some getting used to. All in all it was a pretty good experience except for the chairs I like wider chairs so the kids can sit with us! read more

We purchased out tickets online to make it faster getting to our seats. Much to our surprise we have to get the tickets inside the vestibule when we arrive. Not a simple QR scan like other theaters. The kiosk line was as long as the ticket line. When it was out turn to enter the 14 digit number, Yes 14 digest. The touch screen was not working properly. Every entry took at minimum 5 touches. Finally off the our seats. The chairs are adequate except every time someone in the theater moved the seat would make the loudest awful noise. read more

So I tried to check in here yesterday as the Rave because that's what I knew it as before I moved from here. Although I was unable to, I later learned I had to click on the renovation tab to check in to the new name Cinemark. Like my status said on Facebook when I checked in, I really don't miss this theatre. A lot of it has to do with growing up and realizing that going to the movies so much was a waste of time and money. I only spoil myself occasionally but I would much rather prefer the AMC theatres in Dublin or the Marcus in Worthington to this theatre alone. I don't like this theatre because for the money the seats are absolutely terrible and you never know where your going to sit. As well as who you will sit next to you and disrupt your movie experience. Like yesterday I had a girl just constantly kicking my seat and I wanted to go back and tell her to please stop it. Then when the movie finished, this psycho came out from the movie theatre and ran into a company car and drove recklessly around the area honking at every person trying to walk out to their car. I pretty much hoped he would have been stopped and his company would have found out what he was doing because it was pretty much ridiculous. Also very unprofessional for him as well. In all, I believe this may be the last time we will be at this location. As it's not close to us anymore and the price is not decent for the movie experience. read more

everywhere states this location is RAVE POLARIS 18. But Yelp as well as some of their kiosks state Cinemark. possibly Cinemark purchased this location. theater doesn't run digital projectors. watched a 3D movie, X-Men Days of Future. Projector was out of focus and a few clicks on the dim side. The brightness of the projector was not bright enough as the entire time my eyes were strained to keep focused. maybe these are the pitfalls of going to a much older theater. since not in focus, and a few clicks to dim the 3D experience was not enjoyable I'd skip this theater unless you're attempting to avoid the crowds. read more

My favorite movie theatre to visit! My husband and I used to come here almost every weekend before we had our daughter, and we were able to watch a movie today and honestly we probably haven't been here in 8 months! We've noticed the name change is now Cinemark and they've upgraded to the reclining seats (Not sure if this is in all the theatres). We do enjoy watching movies on the XD screen, we've watched The Revenant and Deadpool and those were great on the huge screens! It's also great that they still have the $5 matinee prices before 5pm, even on weekends! read more

A great theater find. We have been looking for a new movie theater ever since the old Arena Grand was sold and redone. I think this may be it. The theater was clean, staff was friendly, plenty of clean bathrooms, and there are some great special discounts on tickets offered throughout the week. Picture and sound quality were good (did not watch 3D - I prefer not to view in 3D). There is plentiful parking, and the location puts it in good proximity to the other offerings of Polaris for making it a whole evening out with dinner and other entertainment. Cinemark bought out a number of Rave locations, including this one, but appears to be maintaining the Rave name. I usually just type in "Polaris 18" into my search and get the info I need for showtimes etc. for this theater. read more

This is our families favorite theater to go to for a couple different reasons. 1. Decor - it's very bright, fun, and upbeat. Yes, it can be a little tacky. But it's always clean. The kids really enjoy all the neon lights and bright colors. 2. Price - One of the part theaters that isn't a total crap hole that has matinee pricing. Movies before 5pm, including weekends, are a flat $5. Yes, this even includes the luxury loungers. 3. Seats- This location recently updated to the luxury lounger chairs. You cannot best matinee prices and these chairs. They're fully electric and very comfortable. In the words of my six year old daughter "these seats make me feel like a millionaire!" 4. Service - Been here many times and have never had an issue. :) This is a great family theater and is part of the Cinemark family. But the year long refillable popcorn tubs and soda cups for an even better value. :) read more

This theater has grown on me in the last few months. Since they've remodeled and added the assigned seating in recliners, the experience is much better than it used to be. They could offer some better snack options, and the seats aren't tiered high enough, so sometimes the head of the person in front of you is still in your way if they insist on sitting up straight during the entire 2.5 hours of Avengers rather than reclining down and getting comfortable... But whatever, to each his own... Not bitter about it. Every movie before 5 PM daily is $5. We even had an issue once where we pre-purchased tickets, accidently misplaced them, and they were kind enough to replace them. We have been consistently going back again and again, even though we are rewards members for another theater. read more

My favorite theater. It's the nicest theater & the cheapest in town. Love that you can choose seats online. I live way in blacklick but make the trip to this location only for my weekly movie. I can't comment on concession service. I'm not a popcorn fan. Prices are high for food but tickets are well priced. My only gripe is about the headrests. Your neck starts hurting after a while. Another complaint is something that's out of their control. The usual seat stealers & chit chatters. Shut up & watch the movie & sit still. It's 2 hours of your life. Chill. read more

Good movie theatre. I love that it is not a dine-in theatre like some of the AMC at Easton. (Those a terribly annoying and the servers are disruptive to the movie.) For non-new release movies they have inexpensive matinee tickets for just $5. Totally worth it to see a 3pm movie then grab dinner afterwards. We saw La La Land which was amazing! read more

Went and saw Avengers: Age of Ultron the other day at this location. Loved it! The seats are comfortable, and are not too close together. I've been t theatres where you are literally shoulder to shoulder with the person next to you, and this is not one of them. During the beginning of the year, they generally have offered a plastic bucket (which would hold a medium size popcorn) and a large cup for about $6-7 a piece, but the kicker is, when you bring them back, you can get a refill for $3.50 a piece. It can really save money each time you remember to bring the cup and bucket. I like this theatre overall. Tuesday, they have a $5 movie night that we attend pretty regularly. read more

Decided to catch a movie we wanted to see. Exterior: this is the Rave Motion Pictures that is now a Cinemark, however, it still says Rave on the outside. There is ample parking to the front and side of the building. There is a restaurant/bar on the northeast side of the building. Along the northwest side there are additional restaurants. You don't have to go far to get dinner and a movie if you want to just walk. The entrance is large and there are multiple paths to get to the doors. Interior: as soon as you enter, there are kiosks to the right and the ticket booths to the left. Past this, you show the tickets to the host and then the food counter stands in front of you with plenty of cashiers and loads of snacks to purchase. There were additional food stands at the ends of the wings, but I noticed the one in the East wing is gone. The West wing had a couple of party rooms to reserve for birthday parties and such, but since we didn't go down there, I'm not sure if they're still there. There was also an area for playing video games and such just to the right of the host, but I didn't glance over there to see if it was still there. The entire theater is always clean whenever we go, from the bathrooms to the theaters. We love the seating here because you can raise the arms on the chairs, they recline, and they're stadium seating. Staff: no matter with whom we interact, the associates have always been pleasant, helpful, and professional. Food: we have purchased popcorn, nachos, candy, slurpees, and other items and they have all been fresh and good. We have never had an issue with any of the food items we've purchased. Movies: we've watched 2D and 3D movies here and the quality has never been an issue. They have a large selection of new movies (or even not so new) that run throughout the day. If you want to save some money, go during matinee times. Tip: to move through the entrance quickly, download the app and purchase your tickets ahead of time. read more

First I'm going to call this "the rave", because for the longest time that's what it was called before just "Cinemark" and I sort of miss that although it's been under ownership of the other for a while now. The basics: it's clean, the outside to in is pretty stylish, they got a reward program that's better with connections than what's labeled as "rewards" (and I have no idea why they have two accessible options) and they're currently renovating changing the old fold seats with new leather like seats with footrest controls. However with that last inclusion I'll admit I'm a little worried. For just as long as I can remember, any ticket to a normal viewing without 3D is $5 before 5 pm. That's really good for a ticket in my opinion. But with these new seats there's less room as well as an inclusion of reserving your seat. Will that artificially create demand or up costs thus increasing ticket prices? If that happens, i would definitely re-grade this location as a 3 as it would lose the biggest draw it has over any other generic theater. That said the old layout wasn't bad. So just in case, find a movie you want to see and get there early to judge for yourself. read more

Worth the $5 matinee. The concessions are as overpriced as any other. The seats are standard stadium seats. NOT plush leather electric recliners like Marcus, just a couple miles away. Upon departing the theater, we were greeted by 3 attendants yammering about their personal lives in front of the guests. I had to tell the manager their time could be better spent attending to the dirty bathroom. With the falling snow, the floors in the concession lobby were a slip n fall waiting to happen. I never saw anyone with a mop. The solution... Just put out more caution signs. Back inside I go, to tell the same manager I told upon entering, that there is no salt or shoveling going on. Not good for an elevated entrance of ramps and stairs. I think I will make sure this is the only place to see what I want, when I want. read more

Since Gahanna Cinemark 16 wants to put extra small vinyl gross seats in all their movie theaters, this is my new favorite theater!!! Their seats are nice and roomy. All of their staff that I have come into contact with has been super nice & very helpful. Their restrooms are clean and never small like farts (and that is a plus--some restrooms are just gross). And, it's very close to the mall & a lot of restaurants so you can shop, eat AND get your movie on all in one area!! There is even a bar right next door that has fabulous food & a pool table if your into playing pool and having a couple of drinks and eating dynomite food. read more

Love the chairs! They recline! Also each step has a giant letter so you can find your seat even in the dark. The floor wasn't sticky and the bathrooms were very clean. I was very impressed with this movie theater. No popcorn all over the floor and no trash in the cup holders. They had quite a few machines to purchase tickets online and even though we were 20 min late to the movie, we were still able to buy tickets, which was nice because we were having a bad day. read more

Rave is a very nice theater. Its always clean and the audio visual is usually on point. The staff is helpful and polite. I like the 5.00 tuesdays and matinees. Makes it easier on the wallet to see new movies. The theatres have comfortable seating and plenty of room for when someone down the row needs to leave. And now they are showing classic movies once a week which is a big plus. Rave is a great place for movie going. read more

I have a movie pass which allows me to frequent a lot of different theaters. I haven't been to this particular one in awhile (until last night) and it was not what I remembered. It seems like there's a lot of sections of the theater under construction? Like legitimately marked off with caution tape. It looks tacky. Furthermore, there was a lady walking around in plain clothing going in and out of theaters checking for non paying customers. I assume that she was the manager. Of course customers should pay for the movie they're seeing, but they seemed REALLY paranoid about this happening. I've never seen this happen anywhere before. If you're going to go into theaters into the middle of a movie and stare weirdly at customers, at least be in uniform.. read more

The movie was "Resident Evil" Theatre 8 The speakers where so loud several of us covered our ears or placed tissues inside them. The decimals had to be way up there as most of us stumbled out shaking our heads trying to hear properly. A few went out looking for employees with no resolve. It made for a poor experience. Even the previews were high pitched. My head aches and ear feel like I am in a tunnel hours later. read more

To me it is still "The Rave" I believe that's what the signage still says (saw a movie there 4 days ago...) I was looking for this theater on Yelp as Rave Polaris, then remember The Rave is a Cinemark Theater and has been for years. The new reclining seats are comfortable. The seats are not as wide as those at Marcus Crosswoods but are plenty wide enough for me. We are using MoviePass now so are less loyal to Marcus Crosswoods. The Rave (the Cinemark theater at Polaris) has a good selection of movies. MoviePass makes the reserved seating a pain but we are close enough to go in earlier in the day to reserve a couple of good seats. Cinemark Rave Polaris is a nice clean place and the box office is very efficient. read more

Don't ever go to a Tuesday night showing. I went to see The Conjuring 2 a rated R movie and there are about 50 kids in there that had snuck in all under 17. Rave clearly doesn't care about this. Throughout the movie the whole theater was talking through the entire movie, people were on their phones, and some girls even took pictures with flash during the movie twice. It was one of the worst movie going experiences I have ever been to. I wanted to speak to a manager when the movie ended but the manager area was blocked off and not an employee was in sight. Movie theaters are movie theaters... But some are cleaner and some attract more annoying guests. So I give it a five star because it has the best chance to have "no talkers" and seems to run pretty smooth. I'm of the school of thought to come see a movie to watch, not talk with the people around you...so over time this has become the theater with the better chances. read more

I love that their is so many movie type options here. There is regular, 3D, and reserved seating. I came today by myself which I normally don't but was killing time. I looked up the showing times and movies. I decided on Wonder. Got there and it was a bit busy but the line moved fast. The front ticket guy was cool and asked me what seat I wanted as they only had reserved showing times at the I was wanting to see the movie. I was like cool I can sit where I want to. I choose up top so I don't have annoying people behind me and I like the leg room as well. He asked me if I wanted to give to a charity and I hesitated but then he also told me you get a Star Wars pin with it. My husband is a true Star Wars geek, so it was a double good thing. Giving to charity and also hubby gets a new memento. Grabbed my drink and headed to the correct theater. I was so happy with the theater. It was clean, I had no one beside me on either side, so I could put my coat and bag in a chair and not the floor. I also loved that they had a desk tray like for your food and phone, you have reclinable seats and drink holders as well. I was happy with the movie, it was funny and heart warming. I earned points using my Cinamark phone app and I didn't walk out with a stiff knee. I have had my knee replaced and sometimes theaters don't have enough leg space or you don't have a seat that reclines to be comfortable. It was a bit chilly in the theater but I used my coat as a blanket and all was great. Me and my hubby love this theater when we are up at Polaris, its the only one we will go to. Great sound and no glitches with the movie. That happened one time when we were there and they gave us all rain tickets for another visit which was awesome of them. The manager himself took his time to stand at the doors and give everyone tickets. I thought that was very nice of them. read more

Quite possibly may be my favorite theatre in Columbus. The seats are nice and comfortable, it's not hard to drive to (leave a few minutes early because traffic can be bad) the people are friendly also. Concessions are nice but a little pricy. VERY good deals on ticket prices as a matinee is only 5.00! You also have the mall right next door with great dining and entertainment. I HIGHLY recommend this theatre! read more

Went to this theater last night and I will never go there again! I got there early and got popcorn, which was VERY overpriced. Then, 30 minutes after the trailers and the movie had started a rude girl came in & said that I was in her seat. I was in seat 8, which is what my ticket said. There were LOTS of other seats available and no reason for her to be so rude! Then she went out and got a rude usher, who made ME move! Very poor customer service. The rows are VERY poorly marked (in the carpet!) and apparently I was one row off. The row that they made me move to had NO one in it! When someone comes in after the movie has started, they need to just tell them to sit down!! read more

This theater is my favorite theater! Here is an example of why. Today my husband and I were at the theater. I fell going up the steps to find our seats and spilled my pop all over the floor. My hubby went to get someone to clean it up. They came very quickly to take care of the mess and even brought me a new pop to my seat! They are always friendly and helpful at this theater.
