I took my little cousin to see the Five Nights at Freddy's 2 movie and we got kicked out for being "disruptive". Manager claimed she heard my young cousin say "Hi Chica!" During the opening credits when the character flashed on screen and according to her, the character, Chica, "wasn't on screen." Wasted $30 to see 10 minutes of the movie. When I asked for a refund we were denied. We weren't given any warnings to settle down or anything. We got kicked out because of a single incident. A young child excited to see the FNAF movie blurted hi chica. We were seated directly next to the control box where the manager was so in her words it sounded loud. Are we so for real right now . Not to mention there were 4 other people in the theatre none of which complained or even turned around. One person chuckled. We were asked to leave 10 minutes after this incident occurred. I went here today to see a movie. I already had reservations so it was kind of hard to get my movie tickets. I wish there was a person at the box office to help but there wasn't it was all self check in. I finally got it figured out and was able to get my ticket. There where not to many employees working that day and I noticed the carpets were dirty with popcorn on it. I also should say there is no reclining chairs here and they are small chairs. read more

We came here and saw Widows today. The movie was worth watching. But the theater is somewhat dated. Chairs, although padded, were stadium chairs with open seating. And the floor was sticky from previous soda spills. Today movie goers expect more - theaters have lounge seating and you can pick your seat when you buy your ticket. The better theaters have waiter service at the seats. If you want people to travel to a theater to see a movie, there has to be more incentive than just the movie. We love going to the movies. We go to see a movie a least four times a month. Great seats and the concession food is great!

The theater was very clean and very comfortable in side. They didn't freeze you out of the place. Concession were very expensive. Twenty dollars for 2 tickets, small popcorn, a small and medium drink was another $20. The seat were comfortable but not the reclining, heated lumbar seats like at other theaters. A little loud for a six year old and myself. We had to sit about as far back as you could go for it not to be so loud. read more

This is a good place! It was super easy to buy my tickets ahead of time through Fandango. I bypassed the ticket counter, and they were able to scan my tickets from my phone. There was plenty of parking, and the theater was pretty big. At least the one we were in. We went to see Happy Feet 3 so there were lots of kids in there. It wasn't too loud, and there were only two occasions of babies crying. Their earlier showings are cheaper than night showings, if you want to save money. I like Regal because it isn't in the mall, it's kind of on its own near Fox & Hound. Oh, and there's a area you can rent out for private events. Like a birthday party. After going to the new luxury UEC Cinema 10 in Springfield, this place seemed like it failed completely! I used to think this was a nice theater because the seating was much better than the old Chakeres theater in Springfield where I live. Now, it is outdated and wayyyyy over priced! Seats don't recline and not too inviting. We went to an early movie Friday and my granddaughter had a "Moviestickets.com" gift card. Well, you can use it there but I never could figure out how on the app and didn't want to miss the showing, so we paid full price at the door. I asked if they could assist but the girl at the window just said, "sorry, don't know anything about that." We were at a 2:00 showing and no one- and I mean NO one was in the same show! Lol That wasn't a problem but my husband, granddaughter and I still had to pick a seat, I thought that was amusing! So, drive to the nicer place- Springfield! We used to drive to this one when it was nicer but trust me, the Springfield UEC theater on E. National rd is worth the drive now! read more

Stadium style seating so you have a good view no matter where you sit. They practice good housekeeping, too. They have a lot of theaters, so you have a lot of choices. It's in Greene County so you pay lower sales tax. One of the better options in town...probably the best. read more

Nobody loves a good movie-on-the-couch-in-sweatpants kind of night more than me, but sometimes I need to put on real pants and have the thrill of seeing a new release movie on a giant screen (like EVERY movie in the Fast & Furious franchise). Out of the handful of movie theaters in the Dayton area, this Regal Cinema is at the top of my list for several reasons: Location/Parking: This easy to access location behind the Mall at Fairfield Commons and next to Fox & Hound is super convenient. But since it's not in the mall you don't have to deal with terrible mall traffic (ahem, the Greene). Plenty of generous parking options that should keep you from getting road rage. Perks: You can join the free Regal Rewards program and earn rewards such as a free popcorn or drink for the movies you were going to see anyway. Plus Tuesday night is discount night where you can see a new release movie at a much more appealing price. Cleanliness: From my experience this theater is always well kept. Clean entrance, bathrooms, and theater rooms themselves. Convenience: You can skip the line and purchase tickets ahead of time either through their Kiosk inside the lobby or online at Fandango. Great for a date night, afternoon with the family, or just an evening with friends, there's just something magical about going to the movies. This is a great movie theater with stadium seating (which is each row is on a different level not just a slanted floor). The seats have armrests that can be pushed up for more room and still have another drink holder below. Like most theaters they have gone to reserved seating so you can buy your tickets on line, pick the seats you want then come just in time for the movie. The food prices are typical but the rewards card is one of the best. Reward cards are free and the points can be used for pop, popcorn, movie tickets or lots of cool movie merchandise. Used to be my favorite cinema in town due to its close location but severely going downhill! Seats are worn and uncomfortable so I always have to bring a pillow or ball up something behind my back. Last visit I brought a hoodie and accidentally forgot it. It was closing time so I had to wait till the next morning to call. It was never found and I believe staff STOLE it because we were the only ones in that theater and I called before the first showing the next day. They are also continually raising prices even though the quality of seating continues to be less than other theaters in the area. At the beginning and end of the summer season they seem to save cost by not having the heat or AC on, the last time I saw a movie it was sweltering in the theater and the air did not turn on once in three hours. Raising prices, fewer showings each day, and less quality in facilities is a losing formula. A regular price ticket is 1275 here and it's about 899 with reclining seats at other theaters. They've also restricted matinee pricing to before noon which is ridiculous. read more

My husband and I visited on a Thursday in the late afternoon. I was surprised that they offered the 3:55 pm movie at matinee prices which was very nice. We had the entire theater to ourselves which was AWESOME! The food was good and prices were average for a theater in the area. The seating was very comfortable and everything was clean. My husband and I will definitely be returning here in the afternoons with our kids! If your looking for a place to have some fun and spend quality time with someone, I'd check this place out in the afternoon, it really made our day enjoyable and memorable. read more

I belong to the Regal Unlimited club for $21 a month and I can see as many movies as I want. As a movie lover, this is like heaven. Now for the bad news, they are terribly understaffed and need a remodel, like yesterday. Seats are uncomfortable and the place just looks dirty. The only reason I go here instead of Cinemark at The Greene is because of the unlinked club. If The Greene offered that, I would never come here. In this age of Netflix and on-demand movies on cable, every once in a while it's good to see the latest blockbuster on a big screen in a darkened theater at your local multi-plex. Regal Cinemas Fairfield Commons 20 is the wife and my movie house of choice as it's dangerously convenient for us with plenty of available parking. With 20 screens, there's always a selection of movies (no comment on if they're actually GOOD movies) available with plenty of show times from which to choose. Ticket prices are comparable to other first-run theaters and, thankfully, prices in Dayton seem appreciably cheaper compared to other metropolitan areas. It also offers a military discount, which certainly doesn't hurt. The concession offerings were your standard fare. The popcorn (when we've gone) has been fresh and not overly salty. The theaters itself have always been clean and clutter free. Granted, we usually catch the first showing of the day on the weekend so your mileage may vary at evening showings regardless of day. Seating was reasonably comfortable. It wasn't like watching from your Lazy-boy recliner or sofa, but it wasn't a wooden bench, either. Barring an NBA baller or NFL lineman sitting in front of you, the incline of its stadium seating allowed for unobstructed viewing for most adults. The one critique I have, however, is that the RPX experience was not worth the price. If there was some difference in the quality of seating in the RPX-equipped theater, it was negligible to that found in the standard theaters. In fact, my wife liked the standard theater seating better...perhaps those seats are more "broken in". As for the movie screen size or resolution, it wasn't like it was an IMAX theater. The only obvious difference was the sound system, which seemed to offer the same sound quality as found in its standard theaters but at rock concert levels blasting from a few more speakers arranged around the space. Frankly, my ears were ringing as I exited the theater. Regal Cinemas Fairfield Commons 20 does what it does well. Just save your money and skip the RPX experience. read more

It seems like every other time I go, I get a free small drink, or a free small popcorn, which makes me feel good about myself. The theater itself is average. The prices are okay, and I get a military discount. The popcorn is nothing to sing and dance about. What can one say about a local movie theatre? Well, for starters, it's pretty clean. The concession stand is managed by two or three young people who know the menu well and who serve each patron quickly with as little fuss as possible (my H is indecisive). The restrooms are well kept and stocked. The auditoriums, when I've visited, have never been trashed with miscellany. The hot foods served are ok... Yes, I'm the weirdo that has to try everything at least once. I gotta see what's decent enough! One caveat is that the seats don't recline in the regular auditoriums. It's a bummer being uncomfortable from half the movie on. (I might be picky as my hometown movie theatre is an AMC with reclining leather seats. Alas, I digress.) I've only used the rewards program about half a dozen times. So I haven't acquired enough points to merit any freebies. Hopefully it's good! read more

Regal at the Commons has been around for some time. Still well maintained but in need of newer stadium seating. Plus seats should always be off centered so someone with a huge head/hat won't block a persons view. Down falls... Movie $5.50. Not bad at all for early showing but dang... $6.29 for a small popcorn and over $5.00 for a small soda. Gesh. My biggest complaint is that the management staff really forces their concession folks to push everything! "Would you like to go larger for only 50 cents more? How about some snow caps? Would you like to round up your total for charity?" In almost a 30 second span I got bombarded with four-five more reasons to be annoyed. STOP it! I've come here for many, many years. Some of my most memorable and favorite movie experiences have been here. The prices are on par with other cinemas in the area. Expensive, of course. But that's what you have to deal with when going to the movies now and days. The popcorn is good and you always get more than enough. They have a rewards card, which is a good idea. I don't know any other theaters that do. It's in a great location, you can pick up your tickets and then go across the street to Fox and Hound and have a drink while you wait. The only bad experience I had was when I went to see Harry Potter a couple of years ago. The theater was FREEZING. I always take a sweater with me but my date was absolutely miserable. He's a man and never gets cold, but he actually had his arms inside his shirt it was that cold. I haven't experienced this since..but other than that, no complaints. read more

Leaving a review for a movie theater seems a bit odd BUT the theaters are ALWAYS clean as are the restrooms (even when its busy) and since when I was younger I used to work in a movie theater I know this is a difficult task I feel the staff deserves a kudos for this. I went to this theater to see the re-release of Koe no Kotachi. It was in select theaters for one day so I had one chance to watch it with subtitles. Ticket, popcorn and drink was about $20. Whatever, I knew what I was getting into when I decided to drive an hour to the theater anyway. Once I sat down I realized that the screen had a massive stain on it at about the upper left third running all the way down to the bottom of the screen. Since I had been waiting to see this in theaters for over a year and this was my only chance I decided to suck it up and watch. However the stain was obvious and distracting. On my way out of the theater I asked others if they saw it and we agreed that it looked like someone had thrown a drink cup at the screen from the size and shape of the stain. I complained to the manager and they told me no one else had complained about the stain. I was told that I could get a readmission to the next showing. I explained that this was a one time thing and when they mentioned it was showing again later in the week I had to explain that that was the English dub and I didn't want to see that. I asked them to come into the theater so they could see it for themselves. They saw the stain and again offered a readmission for the dub. I told them that I was fed up and left. I am never going to this theater again. read more

I took a young boy, family friend, on an outing and this extremely unpleasant exchange occur which upsets him very much and practically destroyed our movie experience. This whole stupid unnecessary exchange occurred and I couldn't understand why is it at all necessary!!!! Me: I'd like to buy a gift card please, here is my membership QR code (slides phone) Shane: are you doing that thing where you think you get more points? (then goes on a rant to his colleague) See these people think that they get more points this way but it doesn't, they think it does but it just doesn't. it doesn't work. it just doesn't. Me: (kept quiet to previous comments and handed my credit card to pay.) Then can I please buy two tickets to watch hunger games 11.40am please? I was also due a free gift drink when I reached 100 points but I didn't get it. Shane then proceeded to type in the numbers on the card manually and I saw the ticket started printing. Me: So it DOES work. Shane: Well yeah, after multiple tries. Me: Then it DOES work, I am not to blame for the system and for your incompetency. Then do NOT ask me where I bought the card. I TOLD you I bought the card right HERE. you shouldn't have asked me where I got the card. What about the coupon for my free drinks? Shane kept quiet and ignored me. waited for my tickets to finish printing and handed the tickets over to me. Me: (repeated for the THIRD time) So, am I getting the voucher for when I reached 100points or not? Shane: I dont know, I don't care. If you REALLY want it, go see a manager. EXCUSE ME??????? I dont demand stellar service from a box office but SOME show of manners or respect will be good. Terrible first impression. My family of four wanted to see the Avengers End Game movie. We drove 45 minutes to this theater because this movie is sold out everywhere. We were so excited. This theater is in an upscale area so we expected an upscale theater. We were sorely disappointed. We purchased our tickets online and even purchased our snacks online with the expectation that they would be ready and waiting for us, or at least being prepared when we checked in. We got our tickets at the kiosk, no problem. Then we proceeded to the concessions express lane and waited. And waited. And waited. No one was even working the counter. So my husband found an employee who was taking tickets and asked for some assistance. A few minutes later that employee came to the express counter and hollered for someone to help us. The young man working in the concessions came over and asked to see my Confirmation QR. I showed it and he said "No one has started your order." Yea, no joke. So he starts and completes our order. I was shocked by how large the drinks were, so I will give them props for that. But as I was standing there waiting I was kind of grossed out by the amount of food that was on the floor behind the counter. I was also disappointed in how small the popcorn was, but that was not the worst thing I encountered... we get into the theater and we're shook. In 2019 I had no idea theaters still had cloth bucket seats. I was concerned with bedbugs in the cloth seats. I was surprised that they didn't have reclining seats. And I was disappointed that I sat for a three hour movie with absolutely no leg room. But hey, on the bright side, I only had to get up three times to let someone get out for the bathroom. read more

Ok, I've been coming to this cinema ever since it opened since it is only a few miles from my house. Most of the time it is an enjoyable experience - the theaters are fairly well maintained and the staff efficient and sometimes friendly. However, my husband and I decided to try the RPX experience over Labor day. Don't waste your money for the upgrade. While the seats are somewhat more comfortable and there are handrails on the steps (excuse me, but this should be standard on ALL of the theaters), the sound was too loud and the low end had a very annoying rattle/buzz. Sounded like they had either blow a speaker or they were pegging the amps. Louder is not necessarily better. read more
