A few reviewers are clearly NOT familiar with IMAX, and offer rookie complaints. We like and recommend this IMAX. Homer may or may not recognize this version of the Odyssey.... Recommended that one read a summary of Homer prior to viewing. Homer's ancient epic poem is so full of figures and stories from ancient Greek mythology--all orbiting its hero, Odysseus, as he tries to return home to his wife, Penelope, after the Trojan War-- Agamemnon and Menelaus are brothers who are both kings. Agamemnon is the king of Mycenae and is married to Clytemnestra, while Menelaus is the king of Sparta and married to Helen, who is Clytemnestra's half sister. (In the film, both are played by Lupita Nyong'o.) Con: Bought our tickets online, there were no ticket takers - confusing. Seats don't recline. Sound system was cranked way up, so much so sound was distorted. And at times it hurt my ears. Ordering tickets online was quick and easy. The theater was clean and the seats were comfy. The heated option was a great addition! I'm only 5'2" and even reclined all the way I could see the entire screen, which isn't the case at some other theaters. The only downside to our visit was the concession stand. Our experience was good. Bought our tickets online and so we avoided the lines to buy. We didn't know what side we were on so we had to switch over as we headed the wrong way first. Their snack line was super long...so pre-order or get there early enough to wait in line. Reclining seats with heated seat options were nice. We saw the latest mission impossible. I took my daughter and her friend here to see the newest Taylor Swift movie. It was easy enough to buy tickets online and then show the QR Code to get them. Prices are crazy and the fee I had to pay because I was a movie club member is absurd. It was confusing on where to go to line up to buy food and drinks. I didn't realize they wanted you to do through a grab and go section first. Prices are crazy for snacks at the movie now. Employees were nice and friendly though. This movie theater is so annoying. Me and my friends came with an adult and they still would not let us in because the adult was not our parent or guardian. Like what?? We were literally with a grown up. That policy makes no sense at all and it just ruins the whole point of going. After they said no we sat down for a minute trying to figure out what we were gonna do and the workers kept staring at us the whole time. It was honestly weird and kinda rude. We were not doing anything wrong. We were just talking. Also everything here is so overpriced. The tickets cost too much and the snacks are even worse. You are paying all that money just to get treated like that. I am definitely not coming back. Today I saw MI Final Reckoning on IMAX at Cinemark at the Greene, and what an experience that was! The theater made it so fun to watch. The seats were comfy, the sound was epic, and the screen was enormous with crisp definition. There was some trash in one of my cupholders from before, but otherwise it was clean. I also enjoyed the concessions, some of the best I've had at a movie theater. This is now my favorite theater in Beavercreek, and the Greene shopping and restaurants just outside the doors made it even better. Let's keep it even cleaner for next time. read more

Overall: Ive been to this theater dozens of times, and it's pretty standard. bathrooms: 1.5/5, the bathrooms are large, but the toilet paper they use absolutely sucks. it gets stuck, in return leaving literally every single stall with toilet paper in the toilets. Seats: 3.5/5 The seats are nice, besides the fact that when you extend your seat it starts squeaking and sounds like a big fart. Concessions: 4/5 The average concessions you'd expect in any theatre. I went to this theater on April 14, 2024, to see Civil War, with my girlfriend. It is a pretty nice multiplex theater with a huge lobby, a fully functional bar, an arcade room and multiple options at the concession stand. I ordered my tickets online Saturday, the day prior to going. Ordering the tickets online was very easy and I was able to order popcorn and drinks too. This theater also allows you to pick what seats you want and shows what is available. Once arriving at the theater, I showed the QR code from my phone and got our tickets. We then proceeded to the theater. I chose the theater with the reclining seats, and they were nice, but there was noticeable wear when I went to recline. It didn't seem sturdy when I reclined and it jerked a bit on one side. The heated seat option works too, but it take's maybe 10-15 minutes to kick in. One thing I did like about this theater was the aisles were wide so there would be no problem getting to your seat. The staff delivered our drinks and popcorn to our seats prior to the movie in the time promised. This was nice. The images on the screen were crisp and sharp. This would've been a great experience except for one thing: the sound was extremely loud and deafening!! That is the reason for this low rating. Regardless of the niceties of this theater, it is not worth damaging your hearing. My girlfriend and me found ourselves plugging our ears during action sequences where shooting was going on. Even during quiet moments in the movie, the volume was way out of control. I know i personally felt the boom of the bass vibrate my seat some during moments. Cinemark needs to post warnings and provide hearing protection if they want to continue showing movies at this intolerable volume. It is a health hazard and a public nuisance. Looking at other Yelp reviews, it doesn't seem like I am alone in my views. I also asked a coworker who used to live in apartments near this theater. He is a younger man, in his 30s and even he felt the decibel level of sound at this theater is dangerous. I cannot and will not recommend. I will not be back. If you don't care about the health and well-being of your patrons, you do not deserve their business. read more

One of the nicer theaters in one of the nicer malls known as the Greene. This is a large theater. Lots of movies and an arcade area. They have the self check in stations which can speed up paying. The parking behind the lot is fairly large and free ... but it was full. There is a free parking garage close by the entrance. It seemed clean but with covid .. who knows. I love the fancy seats that recline .. have table and cup holder. We were eating popcorn when it occurred to me how unlikely it was that staff sanitize all the seat buttons in between shows. So especially during covid I'd say bring your own wipes to clean the seats, table and especially the seat control buttons. We didnt do that. Before covid I bought my hubby the yr pass.. giving us 6 movies and discounts on snacks. Who knew covid would happen. After the lock down ... there weren't many good movies coming out. We had a nice time at the cinemark in centerville. The process was straight forward and the theaters were clean. The theater had full reclining seats with heated seats as well. Expensive and the bar is hardly ever open. But that's not why 2 stars. If you do manage to find the bar open you can only carry one drink into theater - so you're entire party has to troop down to get their own drinks. They only advertise times once a week so you can't even tell if the movie you want to see is playing next week but that's not why 2 stars. Our first visit here was this week. It's another theatre that has adopted the ability to reserve specific seats and the addition of recliners for seating. Both of which we like, especially the reserved seating. One different experience though was the website's refusal to allow us to leave one seat between us and the next group. From the theatre's perspective, I completely understand this but we got what we were worried about: two young women who talked all the way through the movie seated right next to us. Wish people who want to talk would stay home and wait for the movie to come out on video. Otherwise a good theatre, clean facilities, and nice people. As everyone expects these days, the prices for the concessions stand were outrageous and service was slow. One thing different from the other similar theatre in the area: even with the electronic ticket, they want you to print out a hard copy at one of the kiosks. Guess this way it is easier to deal with people sitting in the wrong seats, although we have yet to run into this problem. read more

Cinemark is an okay theater. It has never been busy the times I've gone. What I like about this theater is that they have an IMAX screen. Although I only watch things in IMAX when it's NOT in 3D. I hate 3D lol. Anyway, back to the review. I like Cinemark for a few reasons. Their app is pretty cool. When you go in to watch a movie, in addition to getting points, there is also a Cinemode setting. You turn this setting on when you're watching your movie. When the movie is done, you turn it off and you're rewarded with different things. I've gotten free popcorn once. Or $2 off something at the concession stand. They always have coupons online too for stuff at the concession stand. Parking here is not a problem since there's are two parking structures super close to the theater. There are five or six self check out machines in case there's a line to purchase tickets and you don't want to wait. The seats are okay. The armrests are sometimes worn down where the padding is super flat instead of soft, but I don't mind. This place is a few dollars more expensive than other nearby theaters, so I only go here once in awhile. read more

We went on 1/9/22 to see Ghostbusters. We were in Cinema 3. We visited the womens bathroom on that side of the theatre and EVERY stall was dirty with feces in all of them smeared on the porcelain. We complained. However there was.plenty of staff there to work and clean. They were standing around waiting to clean out a theatre that wasn't empty yet. This theater definitely doesn't have the visual appeal or class that it seemed to have years ago, but I still enjoy seeing a show here. It has been my experience that the screens are quality and the sound systems are average. The staff is courteous. The IMAX theater is fabulous. We like to go on Wednesday discount day. The theater gets pretty packed in the summer. Sometimes, you need to get there early in the summer or order online, else you find your movie sold out. The bar is fully stocked. John makes a great Bloody Mary, none of that crappy mix that so many other bars dump in your glass. You can take alcohol into the theater, but you have to wear a bracelet and can only buy 1 drink at a time if you are taking it out of the bar. They have the usual theater concessions; also pizza and ice cream. The price is also par for a theater concession. The physical appearance of the facility has become more drab, but that often coincides with any business that is frequented by lots and lots of irresponsible teenagers. IMO, the Greene is worthy of 4 starts and, even though the visual appeal isn't what it used to be, the staff, theaters, bar, and discount day make it worthy of my patronage. read more

Take this seriously, I assure you I do: Over the past two years I have gone to Cinemark The Greene four times. Once I walked out because it was painfully loud. The next time it was the same, and I spoke to a manager after. She said that I should have come out and told them, as then don't mean to do that. The the next time it was just a loud, and I went and found someone. They said they would look into it, but nothing changed. After that I planned to never go back. Dune 2 is now I out, and I wanted to see it on Imax, so I went back, this time with earplugs just in case. I also ran an app on my iPhone thought the movie, and it showed dangerous results. Keep in mind, 70 DB is considered safe, and 85 DB can cause long term hearing damage. I found that the commercials before the movie were averaging just about 90 DB. The movie itself averaged about 90 DB during "quiet" conversations on screen, but was above 100 DB anytime there was any action. The peak reading was a very scary 119.7 DB. THIS THEATER IS GOING TO DAMAGE THE HEARING OF SEVERAL GENERATIONS (CHILDREN, PARENTS, AND SENIORS). This ought to be criminal, and clearly they know exactly what they are doing. read more

The heated seats at this theater makes it worth the extra 10-15 minute drive from my home compared to the West Carrollton Cinemark. I also love that the seats recline back much more. The IMAX has a great sound and screen. However, it just isn't worth the money anymore since it lacks the luxury loungers. Im not a fan that they get popcorn get out of bins instead of machines which makes it not warm. Their concession has a bar and even a selection of Starbucks drinks, ice cream, pizza, and a lot more. Overall it's just like any other movie theater but those heated seats make it overall worth it ten fold. read more

This movie theatre, which boasts its own IMAX screen, is located in The Greene, a popular outdoor shopping mall. If you park behind the theatre, parking is free and ample; if you park in front by the entrance, you'll pay a minimal fee and have to reload. Upon walking into the theatre, I noticed its grandeur size. Maybe it's because I'm from the east coast and our space is limited, but wow- the lobby is big! To your left are the arcade and ticketing stand (Monday is Senior Day and Wednesday is $5 days) and I find the cost per ticket to be average. To your right is a decent-sized bar (You can bring your alcoholic beverage inside so long as you wear a band!) one of the two concession stands (this one has "meal combos" and Starbucks brand drinks. Upon walking in, the concession stand in front of you boasts the typically expensive boxed candy and popcorn. There are LOTS of restrooms on each wing. This is such a convenient feature that not many theatres are planned/built around. Being pregnant, I loved that I didn't have to walk a mile and back. Moreover, the two restrooms i frequented were satisfactorily cleaned and maintained. Very appreciated! My H, brother, sister (the latter two live in town) and I came in on a quiet Thursday night... and it was basically dead. We had our pick of seats and ample time to mull over and make decisions over minute things. The employees also took their time to tell us where to head to our movie (we were kinda walking aimlessly), explain different food options, etc. It was nice! I can't remember the last time I went to a 3D IMAX movie, but it was an extremely enjoyable experience. The seats, albeit dated and a little uncomfortable, were clean and there were so many to choose from (good thing for popular movies). My family lives in town. When I visit, we go to the Fairfield or the Greene. It seems like the Greene is nicer! I look forward to more movies here! read more

My family went to this theatre last night to watch 1917. We typically go to the theatre in Huber but because it was opening weekend this was the only location that had seats available so we decided to try it out and my personal experience left me no doubt as to why! We got to the theatre and figured we could hit up the kiosk to shoot us the tickets in a matter of seconds like I am used to. The same kiosks that you "quickly" pick up your pre purchased tickets at is the same one that joe blow(who obviously doesnt want to have human interaction with the employees) decides to browse the movies, showtimes and available seats. I was second in line for 1 of the TWO available kiosks at the only theatre at one of the busiest spots in Dayton. 25 minutes later I have my tickets in hand. Luckily I showed up a tad bit early. By the time we get to the concession stand our film is now seating. We stand in line another 15 minutes. We have 3 slushies and a large popcorn. I wont complain about concession prices because they are pretty normal prices for 2020 so I knew what I was getting into. The entire 40 minute drive I listened to my daughter just rave about how awesome the seats are at this particular theatre! They recline(again its 2020 nothing special)...they are heated...they are GREAT! So we finally get to these GREAT seats with our popcorn and drinks and I have to move a giant tv tray out of the way to sit down. You cant get rid of this thing either! So I guess because a percentage of movie goers want a table in their lap...all movie goers are forced to get a table in their lap. If you are going to install table. Make them optional! SUCKS! Sure the seats recline but unfortunately when you do the wall blocks half the screen! SUCKS! Sure they are heated but I dont need heated seats and I am a bigger dude so every time I moved my leg I turned the heated seats on. By the end of the movie I was down to covering my private parts with the tub of popcorn because I removed all of my clothes because I was so hot(ok...I didnt really get naked, I just sat in my sweat soaked clothes since it was a public place but you can bet I definitely wanted to) so again SUCKS! As far as the drinks and popcorn? My son had immediately started eating the popcorn little by little when I motioned for it. He told me it wasnt very good. I expected he was trying to hog it all and was trying to persuade me into declining. Wasnt happening! No movie is complete without popcorn! I took a few handfuls and quickly learned he wasnt joking. So I quickly passed it on and decided to wash my mouth out with my drink. Sweet tea...I absolutely love me some sweet tea but what I didnt love was the sweet tea I just bought! It literally tasted like someone filled my cup up with water and dropped a tea bag in it. The popcorn? The Sweet Tea? SUCKS! I would have returned it if I wasnt afraid of the 15 minute concession line and missing out on the beginning of the movie. We left the theatre and my kids started talking about the popcorn again and my daughter compared the popcorn to eating teeth. I prefer the non morbid approach and compared it to gravel but I guess thats about the same...maybe? So to sum it all up...the wait to quickly print off my tickets was not quick and quite ridiculous, the seats although they reclined were nothing like Huber Heights and the giant wall blocking my view really put a damper on seeing the entire screen if I did recline and the subpar quality on the drinks and popcorn all made this a pretty forgetful night and if I had to wait an entire week to watch a movie or go to this place again....I would wait 10 times out of 10! This is a great theater with tons of parking nearby and lots of parking. Plenty of screens here so lots of changing movie options. Wednesday is cheap movie ticket night here. The location at the Greene allows for tons of bar and restaurant options before or after a movie. It's nice this theater offers food options but the Pizza Hut pizza was very greasy. It sits under a hot lamp near the register. Large bar area for beer or cocktails you can take into movie. The Cinemark rewards program is free and comes with good perks. read more

The mighty have fallen. What used to be one of the nicest cinemas in the area has fallen into not only disrepair but is poorly maintained by it staff and management. The arm rest padding has deteriorated so bad that you're arm is resting on hard plastic with a sharp lip. The seats are wobbly. And see the accompanying photo for how they care for their facilities. The toilet obviously hadn't seen a cleaning in a long time. The cinema industry is tough to make a buck in but you can at least keep a clean facility even if you can't afford to keep it well maintenanced. You have to blame management, they obviously aren't inspecting their employees quality of work. read more

First time at this theater and great experience. Went to the IMAX to see Everest 3D and it felt like we were there. The theater even was cold, wonder if that was on purpose? Haha! The price was much cheaper than other IMAX we have been to for just as good quality! The glasses were better too. They even have some cool extra options for concessions, such as Starbucks! Theater is clean, movie was crisp and sound level was good. We saw Hotel Transylvania 2 in 3D. It was very enjoyable. Seats where very comfortable. Theater was quiet by patrons and no cell phone use that I noticed. They serve alcohol here too!! I have been told that theaters don't make a lot from the ticket sales as most of that money goes back to the movie business and that a theaters profits are generated from food and beverage sales. So with that said I feel if I am going to pay a small fortune at the concession stand it should be worth it. The drink selection was coke products. Counter service was friendly and they promptly opened additional lines when the lines began to get long. We ordered pretzel bites though that where old and dried out. Didn't matter much because I tripped on the steps going back to my seat and dropped most of them. I wasn't the only one who tripped at our movie unfortunately. Out of all the movie theaters in Dayton, this one is probably the best. Parking is abundant as there is parking garage right next to the theater. The theaters are fitted with leather reclining seats with the option of seat warmers if it's cold. There's enough space with seating so that it doesn't feel crowded and you can lay back and enjoy the movie. Food is priced as you would expect but the crowds aren't bad so you won't feel packed whole there and the facilities are generally clean. This is my go to spot for movies and is in a great location for lunch/dinner before or after the movie as it is located in the Greene. read more
