I visited this theatre Monday January 18th, 2016 with my girlfriend and 2 other friends. We bought our tickets about 30 minutes in advance and walked around the mall to burn time before entering the theatre. We walked in and one employee stopped one of my friends who had a brand new water bottle and asked her to drink it before entering and she did. We had no problem with collaborating with that. As my girlfriend and I stood to the side to wait, we seen another couple enter the theatre with a bag of food and was not told anything but we did not say anything. We then stood in line at the concession stand so my friend could buy another water and a man comes up to me and says "Can you pull your pants." I looked at him and said excuse me and he said pull up your pants. I did not know who this man was, he did not approach me in a skilled manner nor identify who he was or even his position in the theatre. I thought he was just an older man asking me to do that which took me in shock. Just to clarify my pants were not down, from what everyone else seen that was with me he mistaken my under garments for my belt that was showing. He then made it a big scene and called a manager out to see me which I was perfectly fine with, I was willing to talk to a manager because I feel as if I was picked on for my color and ethnic heritage. I waited for a manager which never came and then the man who had approached me still has not said who he was and then he said he was going to call the police on us for trespassing. We could not have been trespassing if we had our movie tickets and were not bothering anyone and was not told to leave before that. I was being harassed because of how I was dressed and how I looked. I have never been racial profiled like this anywhere. Then he asked for us to get out, so we walked out to where we bought our tickets to ask nicely for a refund which he had told us we can get but when we went to get it they denied us our refund with no reasoning why. We asked to speak to a manager but they would not provide us with one which has never happened to me as well. In any store or place of business there should always be a manager on duty that will come to speak to customers. But the employee told us "The manager does not want to talk." We were cooperating with was being told but I did not understand why we were denied a right to speak to a manager/ or a refund. Finally, when I was asking for a refund I asked the employee who the man was and he said security, that is when we all figured out who he was and his position. The man then said police were coming which we were also fine with, we waited outside the theatre for the police to arrive. In the mean time a mall security came and talked to us and he understood us as well and said my pants were not even down. I asked for the mans name who approached me in the theatre and he denied us his name. We then walked to the right of the theatre and seen police approaching we waived them down and let them know the altercation taking place. After, they talked to us and the security who approached me. The police also were confused in why he would approach in that matter and told us to contact corporate because it was not right and for us to also write a yelp review on the business. To sum this up, all I wanted to do was take my girlfriend out to see a movie with some friends since we had the holiday off from work and I was treated so indulged. I was being looked down on for no unparticular reason because of something that was assumed and not really seen with the human eye. I have never felt discriminated in my 22 years of life until I visited this theatre with a man who made me feel less of what I am because of how I looked and dressed. I would never visit this theatre again because of the racial profiling of an employee that was made upon me. I never thought I would be a witness to this concept first hand. I hope a human body understands where I am coming from and reaches out to speak to me. I would give this theatre 0 stars but I had to give 1 in order to write this review (which is my first review on yelp) I never had such a horrible experience. read more

So I went to this movie theater with my sister and my four-year-old son. The cashier Tatiana guldamez or Gonzales sold us the tickets we went to go see bad boys as we went in there my son Ran in and I told him to stop running I made him sit down soon as we walked in he cried a little bit the couple in front of us boyfriend went to go complain to I guess management so this girl comes up to us shanacey Reyes inside the movie theater and tell us we're going to have to be escorted out after We Have bought All of this food. So we told him that we didn't want to leave we came all the way from South gate in an Uber to come see the movie they told us per their policy we could not stay in there and because 1 person complained they had to escort us out so I asked him why didn't they tell us that in a front and Why now are you guys coming in here embarrassing us and threatening to kick us out when the movie had just started. She then came back with this big guy Ellijah hearde and he's like you guys have to get out the movie we told him we were sold the tickets and we did not want to leave because we came all the way here to see the movie he said we would have to get out our security will escort us out. The crazy thing is it was a older boy a few Rows behind us crying and complaining because he didn't get an ice cream but no one kicked him out And no one said nothing about him or to him but maybe because he was white too! I told Elihjah that my son was a good kid he will be quiet and not disturb anyone else to just let us stay. Because I didn't really wanna argue or cause a bigger scene which I could have let the security come get us and they would've been refunding the whole movie theater because no one would watch The movie in peace because now Security is in there bothering people I could've really showed out but I did not lucky My son was with me I'm not the one to let someone kick me out of somewhere so easy I wasn't feeling good I was really sick and I didn't want to do all of that in front of my Son. The girl Shanacey waited by the door until we came out as we left out the couple said they're laughing and giggling and I told the management that's not cool you guys came in and embarrassed us and then help someone to sit up there and laugh at us I was highly pissed off yeah I have supported this theater for since they open I thought it was a cool place To be. my son and me we come here every week when they first open and I would always bring my nieces and nephews here on the weekends when they would come visit. No I have been here and people smoking weed in the theater loud as hell and probably doing more than that but I've never seen this kind of action taken even when they were complaining about the weed smoke in the theater they came in and told people to put it out and it kept being smoke so we laugh because my child at the time was a baby. So I'm like if you're going to do your job do it all the time and no one should be able to complain for a kid crying for a moment being kicked out. I just think because we were black the white couple didn't want us behind them. This was the worst treatment I have ever got totally embarrassing. I'm not happy at all and if I didn't think they would try to drag us out of there me and my sister would've stay because when the guy was standing outside and I went to talk to them he's rubbing his fist together as if he's ready to hit my ass. I know man who are like that especially when they feel intimidated or in a certain position. Im for sure they would've tried to drag us out dude was ready. So we left we got a refund but that's not the point it's not cool that they let one person or one couple mess up the movie for us plus if that was the case we should've been sold the tickets anyway so if it is I'll give them no star and I will never go to that theater again but I will be contacting management for the embarrassment and the situation like I said to just let things go and because this was down with my son it will not be let go I will be calling Lozano Rios in the morning. read more

I like this theater , cause it's close , and their seats recline.. unlike amc theaters... but what I don't like is that they DONT let you bring food/drinks in.. I mean... your located inside a mall. what do you expect? my boyfriend and I had bought Jamba Juice.. and they made us throw it away. and we still had like half of juice... and some lady before was, was trying to bring in her cookies, from Mrs. Fields, and they weren't letting her bring it... like.... your movie theater is located inside a mall.. what do you think people are gonna do.. they should change this rule.. cause that will make people not come back.. that makes me want to drive to del amo mall or galleria mall to go to AMC , and not have to worry about them telling me I can't take my ice cream or whatever.. but other than that... the theaters is a nice place read more

The place is big n nice. The seats are comfortable n the theater screen is big and although we were at the very front it was still pretty comfortable. Now on the other hand the worker's are not very friendly at least not the ones I encountered during my visit. This was my 1st time there and the place was a it confusing because they have different concession stands and I was in one of the lines for 5 minutes before realizing that one was only for icecream. Cinemark is a nice, updated theater with a modern feel and comfortable seating. The customer service is always friendly and welcoming, which makes for an enjoyable experience every time I visit. One area that could use some attention is the concession stand flooring--it was pretty sticky during my last visit, and it wouldn't hurt to have it mopped more frequently throughout the day. This theater is a fantastic discovery! The wonderful atmosphere and moderately priced snacks, like genuine butter on the popcorn, make it an excellent value. While I used my credit card to purchase tickets online, be warned that only cash is accepted for concessions in person. Aside from the inconvenience, the advantage is the snug seats within this historic, communal jewel. It's a welcome change from mall cinemas, providing a wonderful step back in time. read more

Security is bad a lot people sneak in auditorium with out paying sit next to you not leaving you any space to stretch your arms security should be reinforced in each entrance of auditorium and seeing each room is completely empty when a movie finishes read more

So they don't allow anyone under the age of 25 so if your 17 or 18 they still won't let you in no matter what even if your 18,19 or 20 you have to be 25 read more

This theater has very comfortable seats and is overall a very clean theater. I also like the fact that they have great service.

10/10 Came to watch a movie and "Remy" from ratatouille made an appearances. Always such a pleasure to meet celebrities. read more
