2 stars for reclining chairs & assigned seating. 0 stars for the cleanliness. Our showtime was running late since our theater was playing another movie which wasn't finished. Once it was done and people were coming out, we just walked into a messy theater. They didn't turn on the lights for us to find our seats nor did they pick up the previous movie's trash. When I had asked the cashiers, they mentioned they'd have someone come over. When an employee walked over, he told me he couldn't clean as the movie was starting; previews. read more

Most of the movies shown are Indian, but they also show mainstream Hollywood films, & Asian movies. Just watched Lion King here in theater 3 - framing was completely off, cutting off top and bottom of the screen so you frequently had lion's ears or half the head cut off. The focus was way off which we noticed as soon as "Disney" was on screen at the beginning and blurry, and we were involuntarily squinting through the movie. Top it off with screaming 1 year olds across the theater whose parents didn't much bother to control or get the f out of the theater with. About the only good thing we're comfortable seats, but never again, worst movie going experience in 8 years. read more

This movie theater is great w/ very nice recliner seats & smaller theaters. Great to have $5 Tuesday prices! Their snacks are nice too.. tried their Samosas, Veggie Puff & Lassi.. all great & tasty! One experience: we had booked tickets for a show which we weren't able to make it. Read online that they issue a refund one hour before the movie starts. However, not for premium shows- which we had booked for.. They did book us for another movie at a different time. When we went for that movie, they said they had a problem with the movie & automatically booked us for another show (lol), which we didn't ask them to do. HORRIBLE!!! Came here for a 7:05pm show. They told us to only enter at 7:05pm as there is a movie playing. Ok. Then no one cleaned the rooms or anything. As people from previous movie exited we entered. I didn't want to take my mask off , it felt very unsanitary. The food is a complete RIPOFF. Two Samosas size of a mini donut is $7 plus tax? Joke. I will NOT be returning here. WASTE OF MONEY !!!! No wonder it was so empty. read more

HORRIBLE SMELL & HAZARDOUS!! We have been going to this place for a couple of years now, and now it's dirtier and dirtier as time goes on. Their service is just bland and boring, they don't smile or laugh or seem to care to want to help you. They ring you up for stuff but don't mention anything. For example, if you order a drink they just finish the transaction quietly walk away from the register no communication what so ever finish an irrelevant task then come back and stare at you like you're stupid! still don't communicate tell you where to pick up your drink and that's it. No communication! Furthermore, almost tripped inside the theater because some of their showings have seats next to a wall where there is only one way out but no led dim lights or anything to lead you to your exit path when movie is on. If you want to use the restroom during a movie and stuck in a theater with that layout be careful! Snacks and food is cold and seems like it's made earlier in the day if you're going to an evening showing. Women's restrooms smell like leaking sewer line!! This theater is revamped and the recliner seats are very comfortable for the whole family. Also, folks sitting in front of you do not obstruct your view which is awesome specially for younger kids! This is our go to theater for catching up with hindi or Punjabi films. read more

Bug bite? Watched 2 movies on 2 separate days in 2 different halls at Cine Grand. On both the days, I ended up with symptoms that suggested bug bites. Within few minutes of the movie, I started feeling itchy all over. It was terrible. After returning home, the itch was bearable; but it worsened over night. Had to take meds to get relief. Post review if you have a similar experience. I searched the prior reviews and was surprised to see so many have the same unfortunate experience as me :( read more

Watched Uri in this theater auditorium 5. Movie was supposed to start at 10.35 am. We reached the auditorium at 10.20. It was pitch black and we had to use our phone lights to find seats. It's just does not make sense to have no lights in the auditorium that early before the movie start. Terrible, dirty seats, we were in constant fear of bugs. Movie started right on the time, which was a plus point, though, as with no previews or first clips etc. which is a common practice, such on time start can also pose few challenges. Many viewers, not accustomed to this, came 5/10 mins late and caused lots of disturbance. Of course, cannot blame theater entirely for this. read more

It's a Hit or Miss!!! Plus: Online seat reservation, Recliner seats & Weekend Early Bird shows!! This is another welcoming multiplex, mainly showcasing Indian Regional movies!! The seating arrangement of the entire theater is designed with comfy recliner seats like those at Century Cinema 16-Mountain View (although I kinda like Century Cinema 16 more)!! Have been here with the hubby couple of times, visited recently last Sunday (Jan 31st). There are 7 mini theaters, each having the capacity to accommodate around 40 to 50 people. Well, the screen fits the theater capacity. No complaints on their lazy recliner chairs, but those are not couple friendly. They don't have couple seating recliner option at all, which is not as cool as those at Century Cinema 16. And, there is a seating arrangement issue as well. Last row i.e row As are not properly elevated for clear screen view. Say, when you book your seats in the last row (Row A), you can't recline your chairs fully because of the previous row (Row Bs), which hides one-fourth of your screen visibility. Appreciate the sound systems here, it's great. Neither annoyingly high nor annoyingly low. So far, the shows we watched begun on time, may be with the slightest delay of 5 to 10 mins maxim. Their show timing differs during weekdays and weekends. Shows begin in the afternoon, run through evening and night during weekdays, last show scheduled at 11 pm depending upon movies. They do extra Early Bird shows during weekends, Mornings after 9 am, which is a plus according to me as you can easily avoid crowd and the tickets are priced most cheapest among the lot. You can book your tickets along with your preferred seats online. This avoids the head ache of waiting in long lines for hours together to find and fight for good seats. Their ticket pricing is reasonable, almost same as Century cineplexes. Morning shows - $8 Noon shows - $10 Evening & Night shows - $12 *Special discounts for Child & Senior categories, charging $9 & $9.25 respectively* This Cine Grand is located inside the Paseo padre pkwy complex in Fremont (just before Raley's grocery store and opposite to Dosa Hut Indian Restaurant). The theater lounge is clean and so are the restrooms, although the recliner seats and their cup holders were dirty during our recent visit. Not too sure about their concession stand. Haven't tried their snacks yet!! Parking was not a problem during morning shows. Might get packed during peak hours!!! read more

BUGS !!!! I wish I could give something less then a star . My husband and I went to this movie theatre to watch a Hindi movie . We got second from the back row seats. Suddenly my husband started itching badly , when he came out of the movie screen to see what's happening , he saw that his entire upper arm has turned red. In the middle of the movie my husband showed his arm to the front desk people and they didn't even bother to say sorry . Very unprofessional . So if you want to pay premium price to go and get yourself bitten by bed bugs please go ahead. The seats of the movie screen number 3 definitely got bugs. Positive: We went to this theater to watch Bollywood movie. This place is newly remodeled and the seats are the best part. Each seat is a recliner seat. Negative: Snacks and food option are not so good. Popcorn was not fresh. Sofa is no free refill. Staff are not very friendly. Half way through the movie I when to use the bathroom and the staff stopped me form returning back to the theater room to check my ticket. As if I was trying to sneak into the theater. I felt so embarrassed. If you just want to see a movie this is the place. But you are looking for a more customer service experience then go somewhere else. read more

Small room. Reserve tix. Make sure to sit at least three rows back from the screen. Recliners are made of fabric, not faux leather. Seats were fine for my wife but they hurt my neck. Friendly girl at concession stand. Popcorn topping doesn't make me sick but still a little too salty. Went for a movie and had real bad experience. We bought tickets online and one of our friends happen to had fever and decided not to show up. We got to the theater before time to get a refund or a ticket for another day. First the manager said there is no refund or extension. Then when I complaint he said that he can only extend for 2 days. Then he said he can extend for 2 days at a time. Poor customer service. Not coming back again. read more

We were here for the Faster Fene first day evening show. The seating and food was good! During the whole movie the video on the screen stopped displaying thrice! Yes 3 times! and a technician had to be called to fix it as no one was there to respond back. And the missed part of movie was not replayed back properly. I have been to this place numerous time after it's renovation but finally writing a review. The pros of this place is the seats are recliner. I can get the feel of being comfy and watching at my house. The other good thing is you can select your own seats unless the good seats gets sold out fast then you will have option of watching on first row or some other show times. There are snacks such as samosas, nachos, Indian milk tea, coffee, sodas, popcorn you can savor while watching movies. The only thing i have not been liking since day one is the sound system. May be its because of the small hall or because they turn the volume too loud but it really irks my ears during the loud high pitch sequences. May be next time we will grab some ear plugs. read more

Arranged a special show for our marriage anniversary !!. The place is really awesome with comfortable seats. The Management of the this theater was really helpful. We had planned Bahubali show on our marriage anniversary in morning 12:45 pm once we leave our son at day care. But suddenly on the planned day the show got re scheduled to 5:30pm and 11:30 pm and which was not feasible watching with our 1.5 year old son. So we gave a try and requested them to arrange a show for us during day time. We just gave a shot knowing that it wont be possible. But to our surprise the management team responded that they had arranged a show specially for us during day time at 1:30 pm !!. We really enjoyed the Bahubali show and are really thankful to the management for making our day special !!. Kudos to the Management Team !!. read more

Totally deserves a 5 star rating, I am taking one star off because it was not clean. There were popcorns and sodas lying around,we had to clean out ourselves. If I ignore the mess this place is great for watching movies. It was my first here and thanks to yelp for introducing me this theatre. It has a great location, happening surrounded by some good restaurants and there is Wal-Mart in the same complex. The recliner seats took the whole movie experience to next level. This theatre mainly serves the Indian community and movies from regional languages within the Indian diaspora but unlike other competing theaters has world class facilities at the same price range. What's extremely convenient is that you can pick your seats in advance and yes these seats recline! Making it total paisa vasool! Love the snacks sold here, hopefully they get inspired by Century 16 in mountain view and start serving alcohol too!! Don't mind driving across the bridge for the experience. This is the place to come to watch Indian movies or even sometimes American movies. The place is very clean and the bathrooms are also. This is my first review on yelp and unfortunately not a pleasant one. So we went to this theatre this evening for a 4:45 PM show waiting to get in. While I was waiting to get in I bought a medium size popcorn from the register and was standing in the outside lobby. The entire staff ( mostly young college grads) was present and I found a corner where they kept a lounger in the display right by the entrance. I was standing near the lounger and out of the blue a random guy enters from the main entrance in flip flops, untucked shirt and a dirty jeans by his looks probably he was HIGH!! asking me not to lean on the lounger and if I didn't OBEY him he will ask me to leave the place. I mean this is absurd, the story moves on and he says that Don't argue with me as I am the manager of the facility. I could even believe my eyes that this guy is the manager of the place. There were all the staff members present and I asked him that why didn't they tell me anything if I was leaning on the Lounger and that's when he says that they are all new and they don't know anything, I mean seriously. Then he says that if you can't obey the rules I will have to ask you to leave this place. I mean even if I was leaning on the Lounger there is a way to talk to people around you. Jamie learn some manners buddy I know you might be suffering with depression as it was visible from your sweaty face. I'm no one to suggest anything about this place but this is totally unacceptable behavior and I m definitely never going back to this place ever again. read more

Not a good theater to plan and depend on, had multiple incidents where the listed showtimes on web search for their theater doesn't match when you go there. Can at least recall 3 such times, where we went for a movie after checking in web search a few mins back, but the movie is already out of theater. Another time, the showtime was way different than shown on web. This is the only theater where I had issues of showtimes and movies, not matching to what's shown on the web search. When informed the staff, they didn't even seem to care. Horrible experience !! read more
