We saw the movie Michael here! The prices are great, and the seats are recliner type, cozy, and super clean. The sounds system is also great. Not really any complaints. The lobby / concessions area is pretty basic, but I love the fountain in the font of the cinema. read more

I haven't been back here since I was in college, but I heard they did an update on the seats and I had to check it out! Apparently they updated a lot!! They now have a little updated arcade area and a bar as well as a great little lounge area. They still have the two sides of the concession stands and a cute ice cream parlor entry in the front. I love how comfortable the lounge looks it actually looks like something you'd see in a restaurant or an actual bar! There's also a little party room, which looks great for kids or any person doing a birthday event so I guess I'll have to inquire and see what event parties they have our offer. Once we got into the theater, the seats were huge. They were quite literally big enough for an adult and my purse with jacket on my side and I still had a room to put my popcorn on the side. Lol they give you two coasters on either side and the little controllers to make your chair live all the way back! Audio and visual was great even though I was sitting in a corner spot I could hear everything and it wasn't too loud since I was in letter D row. The only thing I would say that was a withdrawal was since I went with my summer camp to this theater we were standing outside as the campers, boys and girls went inside to wash their hands. I never got the chance to go to the bathroom until after they went out and my co-teacher could watch the children. Upon doing so as I went into the bathroom, I noticed all the soap dispensers are up against the mirror side and too far away for my shorter children to get soap. Which really grosses me out and that means none of the children actually washed their hands!! Most theater bathrooms have a little flip down stepstool that allows shorter children or even people to step onto the ledge so they can reach the soap dispenser. At least I made all the children use sanitizer after they washed with water. Hee Everything else went great with this movie theater and I hope something gets done with the rest of the business center that used to be in the back there used to be a billiards years ago! But there's nothing really over here besides Shoreline amphitheater and this movie theater. read more

A classic movie theater experience. I was impressed with how big this venue is. It almost looks majestic when you approach - the giant fountain in the front adds an atmosphere of grandeur. The interior is standard, with comfortable seats and a nice concession stand. When we stopped by the concession stand, they were sadly out of a specialty icee flavor I was super excited to try. However, the standard popcorn, candy, and drinks were still available. It was quite busy inside, which is understandable since I came on a Saturday evening. The actual movie theater was nice. I enjoyed the reclining seats, which were cozy. The screen was a good quality. No complaints at all about my experience here! read more

Must love these old fashioned movie theaters still around here. There's not too many original theaters like it these days. It's been awhile/maybe over nearly ten years since we stepped foot inside again. Parking lot is still very wide/spacious/convenient/huge land. Location is next to Hwy 101 off Shoreline Blvd. Amazing, you'll still notice plenty of lovely tall trees everywhere in the parking lot. This theater's public restrooms are well maintained. It feels like they have kept up good with new paint/furnitures/and even a cafe/bar, in case you want to lounge around or have a good cup of hot chocolate or mocha while waiting inside. Spacious high ceilings/lots of theater rooms/fully staffed/leather recliner seats/etc. There's usually a lot of customers coming to this one for big showings and special events. Very good new year vibes. Good ambience. We enjoyed our new year weekend movie inside. Lovely dome ceilings inside theater. Concession area looks awesome too. I'm really glad that they've remodeled the theater a bit since a decade ago. We will consider revisiting next time. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Great start into new year 2026. read more

Went to the movies today to see F1. We ordered a medium popcorn which was just okay. I noticed it was getting hot in the theater because they didn't have the AC on. About halfway through the movie, the AC finally came on. Not sure why they don't keep it on the whole time, but it would make the experience more comfortable. The plus side to this movie theater is the huge parking lot. There is plenty of parking. The reclining seats are also comfortable. read more

It's been a while, so this is an update. We went to the new MI: Final Reckoning movie, and it was in one of the smaller auditoriums (14), but still comfy. The place was a little warm, so I asked if they could turn on the A/C, and they did. The same guys also took care of a seating issue next to us, which they did well. Kudos to the staff here, I now know why a home-streamed movie experience just can't replace the magic of a movie theatre with the sound quality and huge screen experience. The magic of a movie theatre is eternal, and I hope these places don't disappear. Still my favorite movie theatre!! read more

I ended up coming back here since the movie we wanted to watch at the time we wanted was only playing here, so we took the drive...also for old-time's sake. Came to this theater to watch Project Hail Mary today. It's a large venue and the recliner style chairs are roomy and comfortable. Also plenty of parking which is also a plus. However, they either turned off the AC halfway through or never had it on in the first place. As the movie went on the temperature in the theater continuously rose to the point where people were removing their outerwear and shifting in their seats. The humidity and the heat made it hard to stay immersed in the movie (it was good) and I was relieved when it was over so I could finally get outside. :( read more

Came here on a weekend night to watch a limited release movie and it did not disappoint! This theater has plenty of parking (parked 30 seconds after entering the lot) and it's in a nice location. There are ticket booths at the front but I had got my tickets online so I just had to enter and get them scanned by one of the employees in the lobby. There is also a small arcade in the lobby in case you have some time before/after your movie (I spent 30 minutes here since I was early). The bathrooms are also pretty clean and large so definitely a big plus. The auditorium was also pretty interesting. It felt more like a large living room than a standard theater auditorium (pictures below) but it was pretty comfortable with recliners and a big screen. Overall, it's a very nice theater! It's a bit further from my local theater but for limited releases not showing elsewhere I definitely will come back here. read more

Because of the number of screens, there are lots of movies offered. Food is all the likely fare you'd expect from a movie theater, with candy being the only vegan option. I arrived in full makeup (Wicked was playing, how do you not paint our face green in solidarity?) I was told to remove the paint or leave. So they have a rule that they enforce, but isn't clearly posted anywhere. I cry, "lameness!" So yeah, I haven't been back in a year and I'll opt for the Cinemark at Santana Row, it's a much better experience. Pro tip: if you like movies, join the movie club. I just kept racking up monthly tickets and took a bunch of friends out with them. You get food and drink discounts as well. I love Cinemark, but not Mountain View. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Cinemark 16 in Mountain View. During my visit, I noticed what appeared to be a rat inside the theater. Concerned about the cleanliness and safety of the facility, I immediately tried to report it to the staff. Instead of taking my concern seriously and investigating the situation, I was treated poorly and ultimately asked to leave the theater. I was shocked that reporting a potential health and sanitation issue resulted in me being removed rather than the problem being addressed. Customers should be able to bring legitimate concerns to management without fear of being dismissed or kicked out. The experience left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. Between the apparent pest issue and the way staff handled the situation, I cannot recommend this theater and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Interesting theater architecture for sure, looks kinda like a gnome/Hobbit house with alot of seating around the screen, whereas more traditional theaters are seats facing screen. I liked the arcade there, had fun games like buck hunter. We saw Tokyo Shark attack which I didn't enjoy but that was on the producer / director and not on 16. Will come back later. read more

Really great theater. The layout of the theater reminds me of the century dome theaters that used to be on Winchester. Very clean and well lit bathrooms. Snack bar is pretty basic, but they offer ice cream and alcoholic drinks. I saw they had frozen boozy drinks!! I'm going to try one next time. read more

Great experience seeing a number of films here. Restrooms are clean, as well as the theaters themselves. The staff have always been friendly, and amount of parking is sufficient. Would advise not pushing your arrival too close to the start time of your movie though, in case the parking lot is more filled than usual. read more

Who can say no to deals on Tuesdays?! My family and I purchased four tickets to see Kung Fu Panda 4. Plenty of parking spaces. You might have to walk a bit from parking lot to the theater. I thought the water fountain in the front is a nice touch. The theater room is very different than other theaters I've been to. The layout, the decoration...and reclining chairs! The best part of this movie theater for sure. Theatre was about half full and overall, we had a great time. Definitely come on Tuesdays! read more

Been coming here since I was a kid. The parking lot is very spacious and the theater looks almost about the same. The gaming center/arcades isn't like it use to be. Every arcade game is out of date and the ice hockey game needs to be replaced or fixed. The surface is not as smooth and you have to hit the puck harder than normal. It would be great if they were able to upgrade the arcade center. The staff is great and very friendly. I've ran into issues were I've purchased tickets for the wrong dates and management has been very helpful on refunding me quickly. read more

Came on Valentine's Day to watch Wuthering Heights in Theater 11 at the 12:10pm showing. The actual movie did not start until 12:40pm. There were also insects flying around which was distracting. Also, when the movie ended and as I was walking out, I saw a rat in front of me running across and going under the seats. Will not be returning here. read more

Parking structure is plentiful however the stalls are too narrow. My car was side swiped tonight most likely for this reason smh. I can guarantee that this happens often, so I would park far away from the entrance and even farther away from other cars. Also, DBOX seats aren't the greatest here, I don't know if there's too much cushion in the head rest or if the chairs don't recline back enough but the entire movie my neck was hurting from being hunched forward for so long. ...popcorn was great though. read more

Staff moves fast, they are friendly, the popcorn and food/drink selection is standard (the milkshakes are great), the chairs recline and are comfortable, and it has a mini arcade inside- great experiences over and over! Some friends and I went to the theaters this one time, without an adult and they luckily let us in but they said next time we would need an adult to approve us to watch it, and so today we tried to come in with an adult, but this Karen with short hair and glasses said that we couldn't and denied us entry unless our adult watched with us, which was not our plan. Very bad service, losing many customers. Also, we had a 16 year old watching with us and she didn't ask for the people in front of us for their ID's. My husband and I like this place, but there is one problem. Every time we go, lots of insects are frying in the rooms, in front of screens and around us. I often cannot focus on watching a movie. Discount Tuesdays? Yes, please. Came here to watch Avatar: The Way of Water, and was very happy with the place overall (I had been here before but that was so long ago, that it felt like I was visiting for the first time)... lots of parking, no lines, plenty of sofas and seating with tables in the lobby, standard offerings at the concessions (nachos, chips, candy, even pizza from Pizza Hut). I just got a small popcorn and kid size fountain soda, lol.. nothing too fancy here. They do have a cafe and bar, and I like that they serve strawberry and lime margaritas (two of my favorite flavors), but if you're looking for ice cream, they only had 4 flavors available on a Tuesday - vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and mint chocolate chip. The auditoriums (specifically auditorium 10), is a nice size, with a curved seating layout (almost like a half circle, facing the screen), with of course those comfy luxury loungers... the back reclines only slightly, but the footrest goes all the way up, so your legs could be extended straight out. The dome ceiling adds a nice touch. One of the biggest reasons for knocking off stars is that they don't seem to keep the comfort of guests in mind. It was FREEZING inside the auditorium, in the middle of winter, and we had to endure this for a 3+ hour movie... and I was already wearing layers, this was not enough to save me. My friend agreed. We looked at the people next to us and they had brought blankets... they must be regulars here and know that the temperature control sucks! It was so bad that I would have paid extra and drove to another theater just for some warmth. It was a good movie, but in the end, I had never been more excited to leave a theater in my life! Honestly, it's an easy fix, so hopefully they fix this ridiculousness so people don't get hypothermia (I also hope they don't turn on the heater during summer heatwaves!?!). read more

We are big fans of movies and going to the movie theatres. Also, as a long time Cinemark members, me and my husband can clearly state the difference between Cinemarks across California. We just recently moved from Sacramento, and to be honest, we have been to better movie theatres. The screen size was a bit small for my liking, but the picture quality was good (we watched Titanic in 3D). However, the sound could have been a bit louder. Despite these minor drawbacks, the seating was very comfortable and they offered both types of popcorn. I would recommend this theatre for a casual movie-going experience and give it a 4-star rating. I would avoid going to this location just because of the tight parking spaces - unless I want to get my steps in and park much further away. Though as signa indicate probably best to take valuables with you or lock em... because the businesses of yesterday are vacant at the moment. Great spot to catch a movie. Came here to watch a movie over the weekend with my bf. I remember i used to come here alot but hadn't for maybe 5 years. There is plenty of parking, u can almost get lost. We got cheetos, they have a Taylor swift eras tour large drink cup which i liked and got popcorn. The movie seats r large and comfy and go back but a bit old with some tears. Not a big deal. Theatre was also small in the back. The things that really bugged me was the popcorn was so salty u could not enjoy it. Made the whole operation seem desperate for people to buy things like drinks bc of the salty food. Would prob opt for different theatre. read more

It had been a really long time since I had last been to this theater, but being on PTO from work and staying in the Bay during that time, I decided I'd see what the fuss was all about and haul @$$ over here to see Oppenheimer. Ordered the tickets ahead of time on Cinemark for a Thursday afternoon showing, and made my way over. When I got there, it was cool to go down nostalgia lane, so to speak, and see the theater again after all this time. Given that it was a Thursday afternoon, the theater was fairly quiet. Some facts: * If you order your tickets online in advance like I did, you just show the QR code on your phone (using either the app or via your email address) to the attendant inside. They'll then print paper tickets for you right away. On the day we went, our attendant was really nice. * There's a lot to choose from, food and concession-wise, but I was reminded once again why folks sometimes sneak in their own candy/food instead of buying it in the theater -- it costs an arm and a leg. A small bag of popcorn, a box of Skittles and a Dasani bottled water was approx. $15. Yikes. (Then again, this is how they make most of their money. They make a pittance on ticket sales alone.) * The parking lot is HUGE. Even on a day when there are a lot of moviegoers, you shouldn't struggle too hard to find a parking spot. We sat in theater 11. Our seats were really comfortable and roomy and had electronic adjustments for your legs. As for Oppenheimer itself? Like most of Christopher Nolan's movies, great but maybe a bit loud and difficult to follow along for those unfamiliar with J. Robert Oppenheimer. 4 stars read more

Instead of moving their headquarters to San Jose, Google is simply planning on buying this building and making it a state-of-the-art indoctrination center. Every day is either April 15th, April 1st, or March 15th depending on your point of view and tax calendar. Ideally at least, right? Downtown Mountain View either is what it is, isn't what it used to be, or is what it was all along. Run-off traffic arrives here after the closing bell and before last call. I'm in the large building across the street twice, and one of those precursors actually was my idea, thank you very much. I really only wanted to watch a movie, not be part of your grand telepathic experiment. Navigating through the parking lot is less eclectic than it is less interesting, and may it always be less so. I'm not going to tell you to buy the large or small popcorn. I think I'm going stick with online streaming from now on. read more

Watched the Era concert of Taylor Swift, they gave away a small poster of Taylor concert, there's nothing else they display to promote the movie. Some of the seat in the lounger are torn with peels of the sofa leather, kind of gross. read more

This was my first time coming here since the pandemic, I was VERY disappointed when I saw my seat I low key didn't even want to sit in it. The majority of the seats were a bit run down and even the armrests, as you can see in the picture. Not only did they look bad they werent comfy as they were worn out and flat . This is unacceptable... u charge almost $16 for a ticket and this is suppose to be "luxury" seating. I will NOT be back to this location! Reserved seating, reclining seat movie theater. Built on the site of the former Moffet Drive-In, it's the reason why the parking lot is so impressively large and you don't have to fight for parking even during the most peak of times. I love coming here compared to the AMC in Santa Clara which can be stressful and infuriating with parking, getting a good seat, and waiting in the concession and bathroom lines. It's not a popular theater since not a lot of residential areas nearby, this is right next to Google HQ and the Computer History Museum. Zareens is also walkable from the parking lot if you want Michelin Guide Pakistani/North Indian food. It's been a LONG time since my wife and I were able to watch a movie since we had two kids. We chose "A Quiet Place 2" and Century 16 made the experience nice with the reclining seats, fast service at concession, fresh popcorn with layered butter, and freezee and red vines for the wife. We were the only 2 in the theater at 10 am on a Friday and it felt amazing. read more
