My brother received care there this week in the Medical ICU. The care was excellent. They were all supportive. Special thanks to Jeff and the sweet chaplain who came into our room by accident but was sent there by God. Thank you everyone. Just a quick update on an old review. I still have zero issues with any medical needs that I have had taken care of here. As a partially disabled VET I use the VA even though I have medical through work. I have been using the VA exclusively for over 6 years after getting laid off from a job. I have received better care here than I have elsewhere and have zero plans to switch. Things have even gotten better if anything since the time I started using the VA. No, Hospital is perfect but as for me, the VA has saved my life on 3 occasions. I'll be forever grateful for that. Five stars.

Thank you It seems the VA has difficulty discerning the difference between significant and severe in their own medical records. Furthermore; crisis line service management requires more sophisticated licensed personal that is capable of discerning and directing information indicators on behalf of veteran safety. read more

My step dad, a retired Air Force vet, has been in and out the hospital for months. He insists on going here. This last time our family insisted on a different hospital-only then was a life threatening illness diagnosed. Shame on you for not properly investigating his illness and complaints. read more

my only problem with cincinnati va is the phones . I recieve a message to call back and when i do i have to leave a message. then another message comes call back and it starts again. My phone is not attached to me nor me to it , right now am waiting for callback . My only problem. read more

I took my wife to the ER because she was in unbearable pain. I understand visitors are not allowed due to Covid. When I returned to pick her up, she was still in pain. She had to walk to the pharmacy to get her meds. The staff did not provide a medical id ban for her nor did she receive discharge documents. Urine test was done, but no results provided. The physician prescribed medicine for muscle spasms and a topical cream. After a night of pain we discovered that the root of her pain was related to her digestive system. The level of care was more closely aligned to Urgent Care. The physician did not listen to my wife. Although we work from home, she was in too much pain for either of us to tend to our customers. I am deeply disappointed in the poor care of VA. read more

I like that the VA scheduled my evaluation appointment with an outside clinic . When I got there the doctor doing the evals hadn't even started working there yet and on top of it the site was an active covid 19 test site. Wasted 2 hrs of my day and exposed me to the pandemic. Good job its good to see some things never change. read more

I have waited a month and half for a doctor's appointment. I called numerous times. Noone would respond until I filed a complaint. The doctor calls me. Says people fall through cracks get over it. I had the flu by the way. Another example is I called for an appointment and was told if your sick. You go to the ER. Do not call your primary physician. Really? So I go to the ER and they say that is common for doctors at the VA to do. I had an administrator yell at me over scheduling in the chest pulmonary department. This was over front desk scheduling an appointment. To add cursed at me. Also same people stated I had cancer. Yet took six months to see a specialist in Pulmonary. They did a surgery went in. I did not have cancer by the way. I had a rare disease. No apology or attempt to rush or get me seen by the way. I had the VA say they would cover meds if O saw a doctor on the outside yet did not not would they assist with the prescriptions. Paid out of pocket. I had tele nurse be rude and not be helpful on more than one occasion. Not get people by the way. Also called tele nurse to be on wait over hour and half. Noone came. I was referred to see urgent care when doctors could not see me in September. Horrible experience. The urgent care did not look at me not did they diagnose me right. Was in pain for weeks. That being said I spent five hours.on the phone talking to over multiple personnel. Being transferred. That company charged me over $300. Yet VA denied paying the bill even though the first three visits are free and was sent there by the doctors office and tele nurse. VA response to the company was his responsibility. Really? Oh Cincinnati VA declined me. Yet wanted me to call the National VA which was clueless in the issue. Then they needed the info from you guessed it. Cincinnati VA which dodged me at every turn. I have had an appointment with a doctor at the VA. Was asked to wait in the waiting room for Pulmonary. This was around 10am. At 4pm they came and stated they didnt have time come back tomorrow. They forgot about me and kept saying be with you soon. Poor customer service. I have called billing. Good luck there. Ran around for hours. Then sent to different areas because it had to be someone else's error. I called medical benefits. Left in hold for hours. They placed me on hold yet noone picked up.... I asked about serving near smoke pits. I was ignored. Then asked was it Iraq and ignored once I stated Afganistan. I have had to call advocacy on many occasions. Yet they laughed on the phone.
