Terrible care wait time always through the roof over 2 hours. I've never had a good experience here I don't why I came back

No bedside manner, delayed and poor communication. Said my next appointment would need to be after my Pet Scan but leaves a snarky message about how I am overdue for an appointment when I only just completed my 3 business days prior and my calls went unanswered when I left a message that the testing made me feel very ill and I was having extreme shallow breathing and could not breath while laying flat. A message on My Chart would have went a long way. Thankfully I have a great cardiologist with Christ Hospital and his office knows how to communicate. read more

I had an issue recently with a resident under their supervision by the name of Dr. Tedroy Jackson. Recently, I had a friend under his care and I went to go visit her. When I met Tedroy, I mentioned that I have a niece applying to medical school (or residency, I'm not sure how it works). With his permission, I gave my niece Tedroy's social media account, LinkedIn maybe, and the two connected. I thought everything was ok until I recently spoke with my niece. Over the course of a month, Tedroy Jackson lorded his position as a resident over my niece. He demanded her attention and would threaten her application if she hesitated. Unfortunately, my niece does not want to bring this matter to the attention of the hospital out of fear that it would affect her application. So, I am asking that someone interject and control Dr. Tedroy Jackson. His actions are unprofessional and threatening. I expect more from those who represent the name of Christ. read more

Christ Hospital in Cincinnati Ohio 12 Jan thru 17 Jan and again 19 Jan thru 21 Jan 2026. I was admitted to the spine center on 12 Jan 26 to have the first part of the spine fusion surgery The spine center took good care of me until Jan 17, 2026. I complained that my abdomen was swollen and tender. No doctor checked or examined me. I was told it was just from not having a bowel movement and was totally dismissed. If I had been checked by a doctor and listened to they would have discovered the real reason for my pain. My pain/problem could have been addressed that day. I was not home 24 hours until I had to return to an emergency room for the real reason for the abdomen pain and pressure. No pain medication prescription had been sent to my pharmacy. I had to call the hospital 3 times as I kept getting hung up on....when I called back I was told it was an accident - 3 times! I was in a lot of pain by Saturday night. By Sunday morning I was in such terrible pain, and the pain meds didn't touch it. By Sunday afternoon a home health care worker came to my house. The nurse and therapist said I needed to be in the ER. I could not even get in the car, the therapist helped my husband get me in the car and I went to our local hospital, Miami Valley Hospital South. Miami Valley Hospital completed a scan and determined my abdomen was filling with fluid (Seroma). I was given several doses of Fentanyl due to the extreme pain I was in. They contacted Christ hospital and were told to transport me back to Cincinnati so they could treat me first thing Monday morning (Jan 19). At midnight I had to be transported by ambulance to Christ Hospital. After I finally arrived at Christ Hospital I was put in a room with NO HEAT! It was about 60 degrees in the room. a Dr came in my cold room and put ice cold hands on me and had the nerve to laugh when I jumped! After the surgery, a ride in the ambulance, the pain I was in, and an ice-cold room having to jump was extremely painful and I did not find it the least bit funny. I couldn't get out of bed as I needed a walker and my back brace to stand. Since I came by ambulance, I did not have my walker. The hospital staff stated they did not have a walker available! My brace was put across the room on the couch...no way I could reach it either as I had no walker and I wasn't supposed to stand without the brace on. I had to lay in a freezing room until my husband got there with my walker Monday afternoon and gave me the brace. Even though I was told I was to have nothing by mouth so the hospital could do a procedure on me early Monday morning, no procedure was done as I was told "it was a holiday" and nothing could be done in the hospital!! I got so dehydrated that they could not get blood from me anymore. A doctor finally came in later in the day and I complained nothing was being done and I was so dehydrated. He looked at the IV pole by my bed and said there were 2 bags on the pole. I informed him that the small bag was for antibiotics and it had finished in the morning and the second bag was not even hooked up to me....just hanging there!. He walked out of the room, never to be seen again. The bag of fluids was not administered to me even though it was hanging on the IV pole! after many complaints they fixed the heat about 5 the next afternoon. All that was done was to turn heat on high. When nurse tried to adjust it just shut off heat again! On Tues (20 Jan 26) I tried to use the bathroom. The bathroom was so small I had to back in. The toilet was so low I literally fell onto it. Since no one could get into the bathroom and there were no handicap assists, the nurse had to reach over my walker and pull me up....that hurt something terrible! I asked for a bedside commode and was told the hospital didn't have any extras. I had to wait until Wed to actually get one. On Tues (20 Jan 26) I was told the hospital was backed up due to the holiday and didn't' think they could treat me until the next day. I lost it then. I asked to be sent home to die. The nurse said they were finally going to take me down for a scan and evaluate the fluid in my abdomen. Apparently due to a miscommunication, no fluid was relieved from my abdomen on the procedure on Tues. Only a test to see what the fluid was! I was sent back to a room with no heat. I had to wait until Wed (21 Jan 26) to have the fluid actually drained into a bag. The fluid filled the bag before I even left the scanning area!! I suffered for 3 days because of the incompetence of the hospital. read more

I recently had an appt in the Joint and Spine Center. The staff were extremely accommodating in getting me scheduled quickly. Once at the hospital, parking was a breeze, and it was easy to navigate to the office. The receptionist was efficient and got me checked in quickly. The physical therapist I saw was amazing and kind and really took her time to explain things to me. I left with a lot of information and next steps! read more

Since a Heart Attack in 2010 I've been under care for CAD and partially functioning heart. I've had plaque removed from carotid artery and legs also a couple of stents. I'm on a continuous six months regimen with a Cardiologist. On Dec 31 2024, I reported to my Cardiologist at Christ that I was having symptoms of discomfort in chest, lightheadedness, sweatiness, shortness of breath and curtain affect in my left eye. I had a heart monitor placed on my chest for a week and returned it on 01/07/2025. Cardiologist also scheduled a stress test, scheduling dept scheduled the stress test on 02/12/2024. When I showed for the stress test I was ask what recent meds I had taken, I told them my usual Carvedilol. I was informed the test could not be completed at that time due to the medication I had taken. I informed them no one had told me not to take any of my scheduled medications, in writing or verbally. I was rescheduled for the stress test on 02/07/2025. I failed the stress test horribly and had to wait for the nurse to consult with a Cardiologist to see if they should admit me. He decided to release me since I wasn't having chest pains at that moment. On 03/04/2025 I had an appointment with a PA who reviewed my results and decided I needed an Angiogram. The Angiogram was scheduled for 03/17/2025 with a Interventional Cardiologist who found I had a 95% blockage and needed a stent. I find it completely inexcusable that it took from 12/31/2024 to 03/17/25 to be properly diagnosed and treated, especially with my history. I ask if I were a local celebrity, Athlete or politician would I have been treated different? I will say, on the day of the Angiogram/stent the Doctor, Nurses and staff were excellent and I Thank them for the care I received. read more

In addition to the apathy regarding my osteoporosis diagnosis and the erroneous, and up charged billing, which they refused to correct even after Dr. Anna j. Schweikert said that some of the blood work would be included in the annual exam and should have been free, they refused to correct the bill after I repeatedly ask that this be done. After I contacted Christ Hospital's Guest Services regarding the diagnosis and how I was treated after receiving it, the office called me multiple times in a row and accused me of being a liar. So much for patient care. Now the bill has been to sent to a collection agency. I have been trying to work with Christ Hospital since I got the bill in February repeatedly and to no avail. read more

Any future patients that have issues you can do a complaint with the Joint Commission. Hold them accountable if they have wronged you or you had a bad experience. read more

I went to Christ Hospital's emergency room yesterday due to shortness of breath, chest pain, and some fainting episodes. I had also had an EKG at Christ Hospital's Outpatient Center that found a cardiac abnormality. There were about a dozen other people in the waiting room when I arrived, but I was ushered to the registration area the moment I walked in. Within ten minutes, I was registered, had had my vitals taken, and had an EKG done. I went back to the waiting area. I waited about an hour before I was taken back and seen by Dr. Pence for a history. He was very kind and thorough. Then I was hooked up for an hourlong EKG, during which they drew blood, took a chest x-ray, and checked my vitals several times. They made sure I was warm, comfortable and had a TV remote. They checked on me many times to make sure I was doing well. Dr. Pence reviewed all the information and let me know that there was nothing of immediate concern, but that I needed to see a cardiologist for regular follow-up on my heart. Dr. Pence even provided the name of a cardiologist with an excellent reputation who is taking new patients. He messaged her to help get me in quickly since the cardiologists I had already contacted before my emergency room visit could not see me for a couple of months. From the first person who checked me in to the many people I interacted with who performed my EKGs, drew blood, gave me a chest x-ray (with a portable x-ray machine so I could stay in the same examining room), and checked my vitals, I was treated with such kindness, respect, care and efficiency. I could not be more pleased with the care I received at the Christ Hospital emergency room. I was able to return home feeling assured that I was not in immediate danger of a heart attack. I feel very lucky to have a hospital of this caliber in our community. read more

Had outpatient gallbladder surgery this morning and thought posting a review was important for anyone considering their care to this hospital. Dr Fischer and his team are excellent! In fact, I can't begin to adequately express my thanks to the entire staff. Each person involved, from my prep nurse Molly to the PACU nurse (and forgive me for not remembering her name. I was on heavy pain meds.) were wonderful. Dr Fischer and Dr Torres took extra time to help me understand what my body's experiencing and ease my fears. Use caution when choosing a doctor in the Christ Hospital network! Dr. David Schwartz, Ob/Gyn had his medical license revoked for having inappropriate sexual encounters with a patient and making inappropriate comments to another patient. These incidents occurred while he was on probation at Christ Hospital for previous, unspecified incidents. When his license was suspended, patients were only told that this doctor was "retiring" and left to scramble to find alternative medical care. Why did Christ Hospital not report his previous incidents to the Ohio State Medical Board? Why were his patients never told that he was on probation? Why were his patients never told that his medical license was suspended? Christ Hospital is a major advertiser on all the local news networks, which I believe is why this story was never reported on. I was rushed by ambulance to Christ Hospital on Saturday, April 13, around 3 to 4 am. I was experiencing severe tremors throughout my body, confusion, among other symptoms. During my time there, I encountered two inattentive nurses. Despite being stuck with 10 different needles 10 times, no one was able to draw blood from me. The ER doctor who spoke with me was extremely rude. Not all doctors, but the one who entered my room wearing crumpled scrubs was particularly uncaring. I have had to have a lot of care at Christ to repair major damage that UC hospital did to me (please, please don't have a baby there, it is dangerous. They don't care about you. I promise.) every single person involved in my care was kind patient and thorough. Scheduling and billing seamless. 59 days of pain until I went to another ortho. ER physician referred to Kazemi for ruptured bicep based on exam. Kazemi ordered elbow MRI after standing discussion in an open-door exam room. Symptoms (bruising, pain, popeye bump) were inconsistent with negative elbow MRI results. Told to wait 2-3 weeks. Kazemi had no medical curiosity to investigate a shoulder tendon rupture until the pain became intolerable. Shoulder MRI diagnosis- ruptured bicep and multiple rotator cuff tears. read more

I had an appointment at the medical office building at the Auburn Ave location for my yearly physical. Doctor ensured they could irrigate my ears and clean the wax. I agreed and the female tech comes into the room after the Dr. leaves. The tech flushed my ears so hard I had water pouring out of my nose and she ruptured my ear drum. She never apologized and her exact words were, "Well, that's never happened before". I had to make another appointment two days later to confirm my ear was ruptured and to get antibiotics. I don't have any pain currently but still very limited hearing in my left ear while I wait during the healing process. Follow up Dr. was very nice and apologized. read more

My experience=Terrible customer service and professionalism, billing department which is outsourced charged me a duplicate, after many contact attempts later with no return communication, call patient services. Told I would be called back, never happened. If you ask for the manager of this department- Regina Shupe you will be wasting your time. She had the worst attitude and not interested in providing customer service.She says If the hospital charges you for extra services its not their responsibility to share with you upfront. This review is about the BILLING DEPARTMENT, not the doctors and their staff. My secondary insurance EOB stated that I owed $3.06 after processing the claim. But Christ billing STILL continues to say I owe $117.68 instead. I have been going back and forth with them since October 2022 on this matter. Even I can crunch the numbers and see that I owe $3.06 when the claim is processed for each procedure code using the lowest negotiated rate between the two insurance companies (which I have been told by my insurance is how it is processed!). And even though I was told it would NOT go to collections while being disputed, they DID send it to collections. Secondary reprocessed and the new EOB again said I owe $3.06 and then Christ said I owed $142.20!!!!!!! And they sent it AGAIN to collections. Now they are saying AGAIN that I owe $117.68 I pay my bills when they are CORRECT, but no one at Christ can tell me WHY their EOB does not match MY EOB and they refuse to send me a copy of the EOB sent to them. I have no number to reach Anthem and when you try to get someone, they hang up on you if you don't call a specific number so I can't get the Christ EOB from Anthem. It has been ridiculous! Either their staff is poorly trained and cannot handle processing when secondary insurance is involved, or Anthem is sending two different EOBs. But who knows??? Secondary said Christ can send a letter saying they will not accept the lower negotiated rate, but Christ refuses to do so. I am at my wits end and if I didn't love my doctors, I would NEVER go to Christ again. Beware!! read more

My husband recently spent two weeks at Christ Hospital for a serious health issue. For background, we have lived in four different states and relocated to Cincinnati in 2019. We have both had cancer, along with multiple biopsies and major surgeries. The care that he received at this hospital was second to none. It is far and away the most caring staff; from meal service, to housekeeping, to nurses, to doctors, to PCAs, that we have ever received. I am truly thankful for these amazing people and will consider this to be *my* hospital going forward. The compassion and comfort they gave to both of us was priceless. The reason for this,is,.. after being with Christ for over 24 years, with the same insurance information, I have now due to ineptness on their part, since they "refuse" to help me with a bill that should have been paid by my excellent insurance, . I had been paying on this bill, but to ad insult to the last one, they turned it over to a collection agency! They did not inform me of this, I cannot get anyone to do anything for me. So beware, this hospital's policy is not to help, and they don't seem to be able to do something as simple as send a bill to the right place. The Christ Hospital billing department seems fraudulent. I fought cancer last year so I have had many many bills. I prepaid bills on two different occasions and then was sent another bill after I prepaid. It took me several times on the phone to get corrected. I also was given estimates before each procedure showing what it would cost, what my coinsurance was and offered a 10% discount if I prepaid.....which I did. Now, Christ is sending me bills which are anywhere from 20-40% over the estimate. Basically, whatever my insurance did not cover they put off on me the patient. The insurance company and the hospital negotiate the price. This has resulted in $18,000 I still owe! I requested they discount the balance and was told I could get 5% off for paying in full. St E gave me 55% off the James 60%. Not Christ. They really put the screws to their patients. I will not return moving forward. Why does Christ negotiate price with the insurance company then charge whatever they want and put it off on the patient? Again, seems fraudulent. Not sure what I can do about it though. read more

They have been harassing me since the start of the pandemic for payment that I can't make because I have no job and no income and can't pay them. They have sent my bill to two collection agencies, I have written letters and contacted billing/financing multiple times, and no one at this place cares. Now, looks like I'm going to have to pay them with the money that was set aside for medication. Best hospital? Not if they were the last. I was misdiagnosed twice, and the "doctor" who I was seeing refused to see me until I went to the ER because I didn't have the $5000 for the test she wanted me to have. I couldn't have asked for a better experince from recent surgery at Christ Hospital Women's Surgery Center. They have a dedicated wing at the hospital just for Women's health issues, I arrived at the 8th floor check in desk, the check in took minutes and was escorted to my pre-op room. My pre-op nurse was great, she has 43 years at the hospital, 12 years in women's health alone. The Chief anesthesiologist and assistant were great asking questions making sure I was comfortable. I was taken to the surgery room, told to think of something wonderful or a wonderful place, my mind went to Tasmania - incredible place & I was out. My family was taken care of in nearby waiting room on the same floor. A few hours later I was in recovery room had a recovery nurse taking care of my every need and about an hour later taken to my room for the night. The nurse and the PCA on duty for my stay were amazing. The PCA had me up and walking hours after my surgery (she was amazed too, hey its all due to exercising and staying in shape), she truly was an angel through the night. The next morning doctor on duty checked to make sure everything was okay, gave me clear to eat. Enjoyed some scrambled eggs and toast. I was cleared to checkout a few hours later. Truly a wonderful stay and minimal pain and small scars from what they had to do from the robotic assist surgery. I highly recommend Christ Hospital Women's Surgery center for your health needs! read more

I went to Christ Hospitals ER in Mount Auburn on Friday January 12th. I been a patient many years in the past and I was admitted to the hospital once as a inpatient but I liked the service I received over all so it became my favorite hospital. So I went to the ER and asked the nurse for a bus pass to get home. I am a Veteran with a disability claim pending since 2014. The claim process has been long and frustrating but I'm starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. The nurse spoke to me rude and loudly if I had money to get home. And I have to see how many passes I gotten this year. It's a new year and I haven't been there since last summer. I came 4 or 5 times last year either for my asthma or a respiratory infection. She going to tell me she going to do it this last time. Next time bring some money or a ride home. Who likes going to the hospital unless they have to? I said it won't be no next time because I can take my healthcare needs some place else. She talked so loudly other patients were peeking behind the curtains like she was intentionally trying to embarrass me. The only thing I could think of because of her attitude problem was either she was a lesbian who don't like men for whatever reason or she don't like black people. I emailed guest relations and the CEO and voiced my grievance and disappointment. For the Hospital to be named after Jesus Christ that nurse made him look bad. If Deborah Hayes the CEO was doing a tour to see how her ER was being over seen the nurse would not have dared talk to me that way. She is too unprofessional to be a nurse. And she was typing her computer as she was talking as if she was putting in notes. They get way more money from me when they bill my insurance company then a bus ticket home. Sometimes a medical ride home can be a wait on short notice. I had to literally bite my tongue to keep from coming out of my character. I was so shocked in disbelief this was one of those times you wished you recorded the conversation for unethical conduct. read more

I got a call from the office after scheduling my daughter a day in advance for an appointment. They told me to go to the emergency room instead. I said is this because we are cash pay? (Samaritan ministries)I was told they don't like to take cash pay patients. Plus she said they don't do blood work or any diagnostic tests. I told her I didn't believe that. She finally told the truth and said they could do blood work but nothing else. I think you all need to take the word Christ out of your name, it is blasphemous. I see a doctor who is burnt out and should resign. He misdiagnosed a gall bladder issue. When I call in with symtoms I'm not treated for the major symtoms. I dont feel that I am getting good care. This is my primary physician. (GREEN TOWNSHIP).They wont let me change doctors. In January it was discovered I had 2 kidney stones. Had operation to remove them ( urologist) only took 1 out, the wrong one. Had to have another operation and had a bad reaction to anesthetic. Was charged twice. Incompetence. read more
