If I could give them a zero I would. I'm been a customer for several years as part of another company that they purchased. Problems: Can never get a live person to speak with. Must pay before they will even answer a question or schedule a call. Then the wait time is extreme. My HVAC went out in August and they schedule a tech to come in late September !!!! What am I paying they people monthly for. This is not the first disaster with them. I had a call for a cooktop problem that they sent 4 different companies out to work on. And it took many calls to get anyone to get someone here. Their price as gone up significantly at the same time the quality of service has done DOWN significantly. Advise is find another provider. They are not a good choice :( read more

Here I am again, without AC, again. And again, I'm waiting 10 days for their assigned company to come "fix" it. All within 30 days.

Cinch Home Serves provided a horrible service when we tried to get our AC repaired. The vendor they sent was an absolute joke, he had not idea what he was doing and the AC was never repaired. We put in multiple calls to Cinch but the customer service representatives were very unhelpful and challenging to understand. I would never recommend their services and one is better off saving the monthly payments into an account which can be used for home repairs. Don't waste your money, this company is extremely inefficient. It's not worth your mental health status to deal with them. read more

Hot water heater started leaking, made a claim through Cinch and was connected to a plumber who had 1.8 stars and terrible reviews. I brought this up as a concern to which the customer service representative said nothing. After 10 days of back and forth and red tape, their contractor came to our house THREE different times and only made the problem worse. By the end of the weekend we not only didn't have hot water, we had brown cold water. Their plumber also left two panels off of the new hot water heater exposing two sets of live wires carrying 240V of electricity, one of the panels being at toddler height and accessibility. We have four children in the house. When I sent a picture to Cinch's plumber he responded "I must have forgotten". I finally called my own plumber to rectify the situation (and prevent life threatening harm to our children) and Cinch is refusing to reimburse for our out of pocket costs. We mentioned to them we would also have a negligence lawsuit to which they replied, 'great hire a lawyer'. Not only has this been terrible customer service, they contract incompetent vendors for a lower rate, and because of their negligence our children were put in a potentially fatal situation. All they needed to do was apologize and rectify the situation by reimbursing our $2,700. No mother should EVER have to be told that because of a company's negligence, had her child grabbed one of the exposed wires, she would have lost a child. It's an unbelievable situation, truly. read more

Please please!! do not buy a home warranty from Cinch. They are not professional at all by all means. if you ever have to open a claim for any repairs needed to your house, they will ask for a 150 deductible just for them to open a claim, they will make you look for a professional service repair company, they will also ask you to fill up forms and not only that! you will have wait for an approval and will also make you pay and wait for a reimbursement and none of the repairs companies like to deal with Cinch home warranty . save your self a headache if something goes wrong with your house they are not willing to pay for the repairs that you may have. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CINCH HOME WARRANTY! read more

Cinch home services sucks, my garage door went out and they assigned a service provider who cam out and assessed my garage stating that my motor was out. It took over a week for the part to come in and then it was not communicated to me I had to call them. The guy from Real Garage door came out installed it and when I got ready to leave my garage door malfunctioned it literally was coming down sideway. When I called the tech back no answer I called cinch services and they tried to contact him and no answer. Mind you this is on a Friday evening cinch tells me they can assign a new provider but they will call me when they are available. I had to spend $350 out of my pocket to get another company to fix the door and cinch does not want to reimburse me for this guy's incompetence. read more

Cinch responds fast. We appreciate that. They did replace one of our items! I don't like that out of the other 3-4 claims we made, they weren't really able to long-term fix the problem. They did a band-aid job on all other claims. This temporarily fixes the issues, but again, not long-term. Anyway, we're glad we got an item replaced. At least that's a win on our end. Remember, you're not going to find a warranty program that replaces everything. They won't be profitable if they do that. read more

Don't waste your money and especially your time..... I called for service for my refrigerator not cooling. I paid the $150 deductible and a technician came out and made a repair. The tech said give it 5 to 7 hours to get the proper temp. After a day the refrigerator did get to the proper temperature but the freezer did not. After several days the refrigerator also stopped cooling. Went online and requested another service. A week later someone came to repair the refrigerator. After about 15 minutes the technician stated the refrigerator would cost to much to repair and it could stop cooling again. He, the repair technician that was hired by Cinch, stated he will submit this stating it will need to be replaced. For the next week and a half I tried to call and send messages with no response. I removed the refrigerator and took it to the dump. Today, almost 5 weeks later Cinch called and said they scheduled another technician to repair the refrigerator. I advised them the refrigerator is gone as their technician stated it cannot be fixed and needs replaced. Cinch stated then they are canceling the ticket and not paying to replace. I advised them that their technician was the one who said its not repairable and will need to be replaced. They were rude and stated sorry if the refrigerator is not there the ticket is canceled. I paid $150 for the deductible and have been without a refrigerator for almost 5 weeks. Horrible customer service, at least for the service repair side, and not worth the trouble. read more

Cinch Warranty is one of the most unprofessional Home Warranty companies ever! I recently use their services for plumbing issues, and the plumber ended up, knocking out my electrical sockets in the kitchen as well as the basement. when I called sent to get assistance, they advise I would have to put in another request for a claim. I told the representatives that it's not fair that I would have to pay for another deductible for a mistake that I did not make, and the rep was very dismissive. I have contacted my attorney general in my state and I am taking the steps to file a lawsuit. read more

Utterly AWFUL Customer service. We have used Cinch home service warranty for over 10 years. Our A/C was not working and it was leaking. We called Cinch for service and the technician assessed the situation and told us we need a new coil. We inquired with Cinch about the approval for the replacement part. We were connected with a call center outside the US and the person did not speak clear English and we requested a supervisor. The supervisor listened as we explained the issue. The supervisor said she would try to expedite the approval. They said it would take between 48 and 72 business hours. We waited and did not hear back. Over a period of 2 and 1/2 weeks with no A/C in HOT south Florida and no approval or denial was articulated. We spent over 10 hours, on the phone, total trying to get an answer, approved or not approved. In the meantime we purchased a portable A/C unit for $300.00 because the heat was unbearable. After 16 business days we made our daily call to Cinch and they explained that the warranty would not cover the replacement item because it was damaged. Well, The only company that we ever had work on the A/C were approved Cinch companies. They told us to contact the company that did work about 5 years ago and ask them to pay for the coil. Needless to say we could have replaced the coil 16 days ago if they would have given us a decision on the requested replacement. They demonstrated ridiculously poor customer service and were unapologetic. You would be better off paying yourself each month in a household maintenance account then pay Cinch!Utt read more

Customer service is terrible. We used them for a dishwasher (paid the $100 deductable) and they declared the case closed even though the second part the installer put in was faulty. Installer said I had to deal with Cinch because they had closed the case. Trying to get through to them by phone put me in a continuous loop of voice-activated checking on status of previous service and I kept getting thrown off the website - until the only way I could get through was to file a new service for the exact same thing with the same model and serial numbers, which required me to put $100 more down to get any help. I found an email which days later got an email response that it was my fault for not contacting them and they "could not" refund the second $100 because the new replacement part was already ordered the day before. I have never been so frustrated with any service before. Not recommended. read more

Cinch hires contractors that don't follow through with what they are supposed to do. Since we have been with Cinch, they have had 2 to 3 contractors come and look at what was going on with our heat since my husband, 3 children, and I have been without heat in our home for over a month. I signed up for a Home Warranty with Cinch on March 2024. When I needed them for service I realized that they do not use local vendors in your city. So I attempted to cancel them within the first few months and was told that I would need to pay out the remainder of the year balance of $52.99 per month, which equated to about 7 months. So at the time, I notified the business that I was cancelling their service once the year(2025) expired. Received a letter from this business on January 14, 2025 stating that they would not be renewing my contract on March 2025. When I cancelled their service online 7 months ago. This company has sent two appliance companies to my home and after a month of back and forth, my washer still doesn't work. The next option is to schedule a third company and they refuse to get a manager on the phone. The worst company to have for warrant / home repair service period. First, it's very hard to reach alive person bypassing their wicked menu, once you do they don't have technician available for at-least a week. Then a non skilled guy shows up and looks at the appliance and ask you ( the owner) what is the problem, which is already reported. Don't do any diagnostics test but will order parts that will arrive 2-3 days later. Then he will declare the parts delivered are not correct, there will be new appointment set and then a new tech will come who blame and bad mouth the first, even tally you will three tech in a span 4 weeks , and you will start yelling and screaming. If lucky 4rh guy will order some correct parts, may be you appliance will work for a few month and then you are back to square. Imagine this is your fridge, and you have only one . I went through , and I am going through again. Non repairable or replacement doesn't exist in their terminology. Hence, I ended up buying a garage ready fridge as a back up. Moral, NEVER SIGN FOR CINCH read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND, UNETHICAL FOLKS. After 3 years of signing up for home warranty with Cinch I realized I was throwing money away and so called them in September to cancel my contract, a few weeks before it came up for auto renewal. My contract renewal date was the 12th of October. During the cancelation call the rep clearly informed me that my contract runs through the end of October and if an issue came up I will be able to avail their services. Although I was an unhappy customer at the time, this assurance made me think, "hmmm....this is good customer service!" However, they proved me wrong! Yesterday, water started dripping from my dishwasher on to my kitchen floor in the middle of a normal cycle!!! I right away turned off the dishwasher and wiped the water off and called Cinch and was super frustrated and disappointed when they said that they could not create a service request since my contract was canceled on October 12th and I would HAVE TO renew my contract to get service. Essentially they DID NOT stand by their own words. read more

This isn't a warranty company it's a rebate company. They say they cover you if an appliance fails, or whatever else you you add to your plan, but they don't. What they do is refund you for the cost of an appliance, or work AFTER YOU pay for it. When our water heater failed and flooded our bathroom, they told us we had to get an estimate on all the work and damage. We did. Once they got it they said they would ONLY pay for the water heater. Fine. They don't pay for work. So we asked them to pay for the water heater. They said we had to pay to get it done first, then they would reimburse us. We have to submit a paid invoice from a licensed repair person or company. We asked if we could do it ourselves, especially considering they ARE NOT PAYING FOR THE WORK ANYWAY, and they said NO. We have to pay for the repair out of pocket, then they will give us the money for the appliance. Can you imagine if you needed $20,000 in plumbing repaired that they claim to cover?! You better be ready to fork out that money. Don't waste your money on this company. Canceling has been a pain as well. They are also ABSOLUTELY REFUSING to let us speak to a supervisor read more

Absolute dog sh%t. No one helps with any issue, they just say "sorry that must be frustrating". We have had an issue with our washing machine that has been a problem pretty early on to moving in. They mailed us some parts based on what problem we stated we had. First guy from Sears came in and just slapped them on and left. Still didn't work. Another guy came out the following week and couldn't figure out the issue and threw a different part at it. Still didn't work. Next week another guy from Sears came out, finally seemed to know what was going on and had to order parts that took two weeks to come in. He wasn't able to make it to our house the day of the appointment so now we have to wait another two weeks. They will only send THAT technician now since he personally has the part. I've tried calling customer service and they were zero help and say its on Sears, there is nothing they can do. I tried calling Sears and its all automated with no option to talk to someone. I told them I will make it my mission to make sure everyone knows they are terrible. My life goal from here on out is to make sure everyone and their mother know just how terrible it is. read more

After reading the reviews of this company, I too am starting to feel like I've been scammed. No air conditioning for over three weeks. The company they sent out to service my unit stated they have forwarded all info needed to complete the repair to Cinch, however they still have not received any authorization to complete it. Calling customer has been futile as all they do is try to refer you to another company thereby starting the process all over again. They don't appear willing to keep their promise of paying for covered appliances. The mere fact that they would allow the process to take this long is indicative of not caring for their customers well being. The owners of this company should be ashamed for treating customers this poorly. They obviously don't read these reviews as they have not responded to any of these customer complaints. BEWARE! I would give a zero if I could! Its been 2 months and my air conditioner is still not fixed and now they are saying that the inside and outside unit is mismatched so the warranty does not cover. We have been on the phone off and on for 6 weeks now and this is the first I've heard of the reason. They told me yesterday, they needed more pictures and I was going to meet the service provider which is 2 hrs. away to take a few pictures and now they cancelled and Cinch now has pictures of some mismatched units. Where do I start??? Our upstairs AC unit has been out since mid August. We filed a claim and they sent a tech from Sears out September 6th. He said he would order the part and be back on September 24th. No call from cinch - no show from the tech. We called and they said this claim is closed. After having to speak to several people, they sent another tech out from another company on October 2nd. All of a sudden, this past Monday - October 7th - they tell us it isn't covered. Almost 2 months of the run around from them and no a/c. They could not get the part so they come up with some bogus excuse that oh it isn't covered because they don't want to replace the unit. This is a terrible company, I'd stay as far away a possible. So many things I can say but the most problematics is that it's nearly impossible to talk to a customer service person. When you do they have a hard time understanding what you are saying and they are trained to read from scripts. they have no understanding of what you are trying to get done. Second, they contract out with companies that will outright rip you off if you don't pay attention. They tried to tell me I had to pay the contracted rate for an AC replacement. Since 02/19/2025 we have been without heat and I contacted them for emergency service only to find out they had either no reputable service providers or the ones that they provide often, A Plus (Mike) are shady. I put a service request on the 19th which they changed of canceled w/o my permission and sited me. While waiting for another tech after the reopen another ticket they found another Shady person on the 02/21 who didn't bother to call or contact me with a date of arrival. After receiving a text message from Cinch asking if the assigned technical provider had contacted me to schedule an appointment which was none, so I proceeded to contact him while he was on the toilet, and I could hear everything. He advised that he had made it clear with April who was the person assigned that he could not provide a date or time and that it would probably be sometime next week which April failed to inform me about this part. After speaking to this person for a short period of time he asked me for my unit's serial number, but he should have already had this information if he took the job. Nothing or no one was reliable and all I got for the entire time from Cinch was a complete and utter run around. They failed to inform me that they offer services that they cannot deliver due to little or no contracts or contacts with reputable companies. Once Cinch cannot provide the contractor then they will get you to do the leg work and locate your own tech and they promise to reimburse you afterwards but if you have failed securing a contractor prior and then not even disclosing this important information within the contract is just irreprehensible and unethical. Cinch knew that they could not deliver but failed to inform me or include this bit of info in their contract and allowing me to make an informed decision. If I knew that they didn't have certain contractors for certain jobs, then I would have selected another company that could deliver and not be without heat with 20-degree weather conditions. The moment you need Cinch, they will give you the run around, disconnect, transfer you all around from here to there and still without service. As a last-ditch effort they requested that I go out to secure my own tech and they would reimburse me later, well if you failed to keep your part of the deal after 3 attempts then how can I trust you to reimburse me later?
