They usually have a good selection of cigars and a clean establishment. I used to go there every so often and Tim's recommendations were always spot on. This morning, however, was a 180 degree different story. No Tim, just a lady behind the counter, i.e. no recommendations and no help. Could be because I didn't ask for her to help? Why you ask? Read on. An aside - Tim would usually just come on into the humidor and ask if he could help, nothing like that today. Why did I not ask for help? The lady behind the counter did not have a mask on, and the concept of social distancing did not exist. Like others, I discovered this place thanks to the CigarsDaily YouTube channel. To put it simply, I came for Tim but stayed for the customer service! I'm a novice in the cigar game and both times I visited I was welcomed and given a friendly education on the different kinds of sticks they have to offer. I cannot remember the first person who helped me out but she was very helpful and got me squared away with a beginners sampler pack and an acrylic humidor. I recently watched a few of Tim's video reviews. I remembered that in years past Tim sent me and my buddies lots of cigars when I was deployed in Afghanistan. What's my point? He cares, not just about the troops but about people and getting you the best smoking experience possible. The cigar knowledge gained from the videos is significant even for me (and I used to write cigar reviews for the New York Times website called About.Com). Meh.. after having an order take a few days longer then any other online retailers and then having my first order screwed up and ship a cigar that was unsmokable due to a huge gouge in the side of it . Looked like someone shot it with a pellet rifle . Amazing the cello didn't break. I asked them to resend it to with amazement they were suddenly out of stock even thou there website didn't agree with that as u could still order it . They offered a similar cheaper by a buck or two cigar. Which didn't please me to say the least considering Tim boasts about his outstanding customer service. And the fact that this was the only stick in the sampler I ordered that I wanted. Anyways after saying yea ship me the cheaper one and if u can throw in some freebies if u can due to u not having a exact replacement .. a sticker or lighter would have of been just fine .
