We sat at the bar for a beer and chips while we got a takeaway order. Food took a long time, but again, it was crowded. I tend to always get the carnitas for my first visit to any Mexican restaurant. Not very good. They packaged the pork apart from the sauce, which I thought was smart. But by the time I got home, they were rock-hard, dry, and virtually inedible. Not smart. Rest of food was ok. In a crowded category like Mexican cuisine, you probably have to do better. Maybe we should have dined in, so I will try again and update this review when I do.

Definitely set up for a god time. The service is excellent. Our server, Abbie, was a gem. Super friendly and prompt. She did an incredible job upselling us as well. Lol. We went in on a Monday evening and learned they do $5 house margaritas on Mondays. Something I can absolutely get down with! The margarita was solid, especially for the price. For an addition $3 you can add an extra shot which I did and it made it all the better, still at a great price at $8. Chips and salsa came out literally as we were sat. Extremely quick. The chips were fresh, hot, and crispy. They had a nice light salting on them. The salsa tasted fresh and was garnish with fresh cilantro which gave it a nice pop. The salsa itself was a little bland, however. Definitely not spicy at all which is fine but I would have preferred a little more spice. I ordered the Quesadilla Birra. It was plated beautifully with a side of consommé. Overall they were just okay. The meat was nicely cooked, tender but it was just bland. Consommé was the same, bland. I likely wouldn't order this dish again. My partner did the shrimp fajitas and they were fantastic. The shrimp were nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. Sautéed onions and peppers were also cooked perfectly. I will absolutely be back. I would like to give more of the menu a chance and the daily specials are hard to beat.

Much more open, better vibe and there is also an outdoor bar. We were greeted quickly by a very friendly waitress and given menus. We ordered drinks and they came out pretty quick. Throughout the time we spent for dinner we were checked on frequently not only by our waitress but also by other staff passing by. The food was what you would expect from an Americanized Mexican restaurant. Decent size portions that were fair to the menu pricing. Everything was prepared well and tasted fresh. I very much enjoyed the salsa that came out right away. It actually had a decent amount of heat to it. By far some of the better salsa I've had at a Mexican restaurant. We also ordered margaritas and they were excellent. Be warned, the skinny margarita is a whopping $6 more than the standard house marg making it $16! Not sure why but it is and you've been warned. I will say, it was damn good though. But for a $6 savings I would just get the regular. IG: danny_fuelstherun

Had a #6 (taco and enchilada). The taco came in a separate dish (okay) but fell apart when I tried to pick it up. I've eaten Mexican food for 50 years and this was the worst I've ever had (not kidding). The enchilada was cheese and there was plenty but it was about as dry as it could be. A little sauce would have definitely helped. The server was very attentive on the front end. When we were done, I had to flag the manager for our checks. He got right on it but 10 minutes later we were still sitting there, waiting to pay. I had to flag the manager down again. This was unacceptable. Even with 3 stars, I would never eat here again.

The restaurant is inside an old house with a massive wrap around porch featuring plenty of covered outdoor seating. Inside was a pretty standard Mexican restaurant decor. The place was clean and looked to be well kept. Our server didn't seem too excited about life and was a bit slow and unenthusiastic. Brought our chips and salsa pretty quick and took our drink order. When he came back with our waters and soda we placed our food order. I wanted a Carne Asada which I was told is actually no longer available. This is completely bonkers to me. A staple dish at any Mexican restaurant. So I ordered something else that has skirt steak in it. Super confusing how they couldn't do that particular dish. Overall the food we ordered was actually really good.
