Ceviche de Camaron

This is one of our new favorite places. We came here years ago. It was terrible. New owners took over. We tried it again . The food is great . Everything is fresh and made to order. The staff is outstanding. Last time we had the Coctel De Cameron and Steak Chimicherri. We had them add shrimp to the Chimichirri. The pieces of steak are cooked perfect. Very tender! Love the plantains. Make sure to get a side of their fresh habanero sauce.

This restaurant can be hit or miss on a few items but we are never disappointed with the Meat Lovers Fajitas, the fresh made guacamole or the margaritas. Sometimes we pick up an order of the Meat Lovers Fajitas for 2 and a fresh guacamole to go & it feeds our family of 3. We still have left overs. The portions are generous, the food is fresh and it's great value for a meal to go.

I've only been here once, but that skirt steak is AMAZING! Most Mexican restaurants use cheap meat. They are obviously investing in quality meat. Makes my tastebuds happy again just thinking about it. The plantains were pretty good. My daughter ate most of mine. The beans were good, but they were submerged. Why so much fluid? The water taste like it came out of a rusty pipe. Our service was good up until the end. Then our server disappeared.

Went here with wife for a date night. We had been here several years ago and really enjoyed it. This time around not so much. Food was good. We shared an appetizer of avocado rolls, delicious and very filling, a little greasy but dang good. We also shared an entree of mango habanero chicken, which was also good, very tasty. The mango mixed with habanero on a just properly cooked piece of chicken mashed into a pico de gallo sauce, yummy. The appetizer was pretty big for 2 medium sized adults, we couldn't finish it , maybe because it came at the same time as the entree, which was a little small with side of rice. Service was slooooow. We sat outside, this was about 9pm, no lights. They had lights, they didn't work. We didn't want to move inside as the guy providing live music was very good but LOUD unless you sat far away, so we just asked to be moved close to door so we could see food. Of course, this took many minutes and several different waiters we asked because ours kept disappearing and not coming back. Nice guy but MAN maybe waiting on customers isn't your forte; I'm not gonna say his name, because he was very polite. Anyway, stars based on: Poor outside lighting = 1 Slow service = 1 Nice waiter = 3 Food quality = 5 Food quantity = 4 Ambience = 2 Total = 3 (heavy 2 but I'm giving 3)

Fried Burritos... steak... It was supposed to be chicken

Terrible..... There are 2 other Mexican restaurants within 5 miles in either direction. Los Magueys or LA Parilla... We visited this location for the first time on Cinco De Mayo.. We expected a wait due to the holidays, but that wasn't the case. As a party of 3., we were sat immediately. We ordered drinks then waited for a while to order food... again this was expected. We ordered shredded chicken nachos, fajitas nachos and the fried Chipotle burrito... after 20 minutes, they brought out the shredded chicken nachos and the fajitas nachos.. They also brought out a chicken fajita that we did not order.. I advised the waitress, and she was super apologetic. She the reodered ordered my fried burrito and it came out about 10 minutes later.... it looked amazing but unfortunately it was beef and I ordered chicken.. I told the waitress not to worry about replacing it.. As you can see, both chicken and fajitas nachos are not appetizing. The vegetables are not cut up and we ordered chicken and shrimp for the fajitas nachos.... all in all.... I would go to LA Parilla or Los Magueys next time...

We have had good food from here consistently the past year. We usually get it to go but when we do eat there the service has been good.

Definitely set up for a god time. The service is excellent. Our server, Abbie, was a gem. Super friendly and prompt. She did an incredible job upselling us as well. Lol. We went in on a Monday evening and learned they do $5 house margaritas on Mondays. Something I can absolutely get down with! The margarita was solid, especially for the price. For an addition $3 you can add an extra shot which I did and it made it all the better, still at a great price at $8. Chips and salsa came out literally as we were sat. Extremely quick. The chips were fresh, hot, and crispy. They had a nice light salting on them. The salsa tasted fresh and was garnish with fresh cilantro which gave it a nice pop. The salsa itself was a little bland, however. Definitely not spicy at all which is fine but I would have preferred a little more spice. I ordered the Quesadilla Birra. It was plated beautifully with a side of consommé. Overall they were just okay. The meat was nicely cooked, tender but it was just bland. Consommé was the same, bland. I likely wouldn't order this dish again. My partner did the shrimp fajitas and they were fantastic. The shrimp were nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. Sautéed onions and peppers were also cooked perfectly. I will absolutely be back. I would like to give more of the menu a chance and the daily specials are hard to beat.

Always, from the time you enter the Acworth location, you genuinely feel welcome. I want to call out my Server, this evening. Caselyn was absolutely fantastic. I was dining solo because my husband is out of town. And I know, just one diner brings the check tab down. But Caselyn was as attentive, friendly and accommodating as if it were a 5 party table. She was great. Now, let's talk about the Granny Apple Margarita.... Absolutely delicious.

A charming little place we call home!

Lot of potential in this small, cozy, Mexican restaurant…read more My partner and I came in on a Friday evening around 7:00pm. The very nice outdoor seating area was packed and rightfully so. The outdoor area is a highlight of the restaurant in my opinion. We decided to sit inside the small, whisper quiet, dining room. The space is small but well organized with the night amount of tables. The service was very slow. There was plenty of wait staff and many of them were just standing around. This was a real bummer for me as good service would have potentially given this place a better overall rating. The chips and salsa were meh. Salsa was just fine but the chips were overly fried/burned but served cold as though they had been sitting all day. We ordered some guacamole to accompany our salsa. $5.50 was a reasonable price and it was a nice size portion. Very blan. Could have used some more salt in my opinion but that could just be me. Both of our entrees were actually pretty solid. I say actually as I was feeling like this was going to be a complete bust leading up to this point. My chicken was a little dry but great flavor in the dish. My partner's burrito was huge and flavorful. This has some potential to be significantly better. I will return but it is not a "this is my go-to" caliber restaurant.

The chips are crispy and the salsa tasty, not hot and spicy. Husband ordered a shrimp taco salad. "These are tiny shrimp!" I had a trip of tostadas. One chicken, beef and pork. Each one was so tasty and flavorful! We found Zama on Yelp. We traveling from Florida to home. It was our first visit, which Dylan asked about. Had a #6 (taco and enchilada). The taco came in a separate dish (okay) but fell apart when I tried to pick it up. I've eaten Mexican food for 50 years and this was the worst I've ever had (not kidding). The enchilada was cheese and there was plenty but it was about as dry as it could be. A little sauce would have definitely helped. The server was very attentive on the front end. When we were done, I had to flag the manager for our checks. He got right on it but 10 minutes later we were still sitting there, waiting to pay. I had to flag the manager down again. This was unacceptable. Even with 3 stars, I would never eat here again.

Chips and salsa were good -- the salsa was really tasty! We added a small cheese dip, almost $7 for a small serving "bowl". Liked it but for that price, maybe a larger portion would be good? We ordered the steak fajitas to split. Portion was nice for two of us, able to make about 5 with the items. Homemade flour tortillas were nice. The refried beans were a bit bland and we don't each much rice. Overall slightly under 4 stars, maybe 3.8. Staff were a bonus!

Stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday evening around 8:00pm…read more First impression upon arrival was "sweet patio". The restaurant is inside an old house with a massive wrap around porch featuring plenty of covered outdoor seating. As we walked to the hostess stand we noticed a sign stating they lost their liquor license. This was a massive let down as I was excited for a margarita. We almost left but decided to give it a shot. Inside was a pretty standard Mexican restaurant decor. The place was clean and looked to be well kept. Our server didn't seem too excited about life and was a bit slow and unenthusiastic. Brought our chips and salsa pretty quick and took our drink order. When he came back with our waters and soda we placed our food order. I wanted a Carne Asada which I was told is actually no longer available. This is completely bonkers to me. A staple dish at any Mexican restaurant. So I ordered something else that has skirt steak in it. Super confusing how they couldn't do that particular dish. Overall the food we ordered was actually really good. Prepared well and full of flavor. Nice size portion. Unfortunately the lack of service and margaritas really makes it tough to return. Follow me on IG: danny_runsforbeer
