I visited late on a Saturday but the place was pretty busy, which I found surprising for such an out-of-the way location. I'm not sure if they were locals or out of towners who heard the cider was good, but either way, it was pretty impressive. Although they advertise themselves as a cidery, they make 'Perrys' (pear cider) and 'Jerk'ms' (made with plumbs...and yes I know its a funny name). So they seem willing to try their hand at anything. I tried a good assortment and liked to loved everything. I really liked the perrys most of all, with the mango-habanero a runner up. For social distancing reasons you can't stay inside except to order, but they had several tables outside. They even had a food truck. All in all, this place is off to a great start!

In the mood for a weekend fun thig to do? Want some adult beverages? This is THE PLACE to hit, if you're in Stafford or Southern Fauquier (it's even worth the drive from other areas)!!! We came here on a rainy Saturday afternoon during winter with little else going on in the area, to try their ciders. Their staff quickly greeted us and gave us the rundown on this place, their ciders, how they make them, etc. Such a great way to learn about a new place like this! We're a family of three and we chose to start with each having our own flights, which gave us a GREAT opportunity to try their ciders! We all liked everything we tried to! You can build the flight into any amount you want (3, 4, 5, etc). We really enjoyed listening to how they make their ciders. Upon trying them, they were amazing! We kind of thought they might be to sweet or unnaturally-flavored, etc... but their ciders are amazing and definitely taste natural, normal and good! The venue is quaint and nice, but there are few tables inside, so get there early. Outside (if it's a decent day) they have tons of space, picnic tables, under tent tables, etc. Prices are decent and they have some basic noshing snacks too. They typically have a food truck, but (unfortunately) on the day we visited, the food truck canceled, so we ere fortunate they offered snacks. They post their food truck schedule online and on a wall (whiteboard) in their place as well. The food trucks are all top-notch, popular as well! Can't wait to return!!!

Had the pleasure of sampling the goods at a Farmers Market in Stafford. The Mango Habenero is a unique blend with a fruity start, and some gentle heat on the back end. The Coffee Cider ended up being my favorite as we walked away with a growler of its goodness and a growler of the raspberry. Hope to make it up to the official location in the near future. If you like Cider, hit them up.

Joeffi's food truck, mushroom cheesesteak. My boyfriend chose the plain cheesesteake.

The inside wasn't very decorated, and didn't have that many seats. It seemed a bit bare. I wanted to get the frozen drink, but they said they had run out. Outside had a few more seats, but our stay was cut short by some bees that were very interested in my drink, purse, and my friend's face. I might have to give it another try but it was just an average experience for me.

There is very limited seating in the indoor wine bar--two small tables is just about it. If they don't have a wedding or other event, the large barn-like event space is open with seating, but its cool and drafty so if you're hiding from the weather it is not ideal. They have a very small food menu and offer a rotating menu of cider flights and cocktails. Generally, ciders are quite dry, not at all like angry orchard or redd's (for comparison). The cocktails are fun and creative. I loved having the option for a hot drink in late December. At some point, I'd love to be able to come when the weather is beautiful and can take advantage of their outdoor wine bar, fire pits, and view. Ample parking, though as you follow the road up to the winery, you move from gravel to packed dirt. Parking can get quite muddy as it is just grass/dirt, and there can be some deep tracks left from cars in previous weather. Definitely not a reason to skip this place, but something that we noticed as we were coming/going since we were in a very small car.

The tasting is a great deal and I believe it's $5 for 5 tastings and you can pay extra for more samples. There are no flights. The Off the Press cider with no added sugar was quite sweet on its own and my favorite! My hubby enjoyed the peach and Honey Ginger cider. The cinnamon spiced Wassail cider was tasty and perfect for the fall and comes in larger 16 oz cans (4 pack is $14) while some of the other flavors like the Honey Ginger and Peach ciders come in smaller, 12 oz cans (4 pack for $11). We bought 3 packs - Wassail, Honey Ginger, and Off the Press (Peach was sold out!) and devoured them within a week! I wasn't a big fan of the Strawberry and Blackberry ciders. There's outdoor seating to soak in the sweeping views of the Shenandoah hillside and the beautiful fields and pastures! The indoor seating is a bit cramped for only a dozen or so people. There's a small market next door that sells produce and meat. The food truck sold cider donuts and some hot food and drinks, I wish the donut was hot (it was stone cold!). Love the cider and will be back when we're in the area!

I am not a fan of the Meade or cider, but my wife was so we drove the gravel road to the Old Hill Hard Cider brewery and orchard, and the view was spectacular. High up on a hill looking down over the valley. As for the service, she was incredibly accommodating. We ordered a flight of ciders and chatted with her about the dry versus the sweet. In the end my wife found a wonderful option, the Virginia blackberry cider. She said it was her favorite. I had a Virginia tannin which I found matched a white Sauvignon blanc in some flavor, and was good for sipping in the shade on top the hill. Later we walked through the market, grabbed a 1/2 gallon of cider and pet the area dog before we headed out. I wish it was closer, but it deserved a 5 star for the cider.

The staff was super friendly, and the overall vibe was laid-back and inviting. It's definitely a place meant for chilling with friends rather than catching a game. They do have a TV (maybe more than one, I didn't really notice), but the placement and size make it clear that this isn't a sports bar, and that's totally fine. It's more of a hangout venue with its own cool personality. Parking can be a pain, so plan for that ahead of time. That's probably the biggest frustration. As for the ciders, they weren't really for me, but that's just personal taste. I still had a great time, and I plan to return to try more ciders in hopes of finding one I like. It's definitely worth a visit for the atmosphere and the experience.
