You would…read morenever guess what it looks like from just driving by on the road, and I'm so glad we finally made it there to visit. The indoor seating area is wonderfully charming, with 200-year old beams and a great 'hidden treasure' feel. We tried all nine beers and, much to our surprise, were amazed by the quality and flavors. We have visited all the area breweries and this is one of the best. The Rauch-style beer and the stout were standouts, as were the two blond/lighter styles. The saison had a wonderful cucumber note from....you guessed...cucumbers! The beer garden is small but inviting under the shade of a massive elm tree. Spoke with the owner and staff who were very accommodating and gave us a short tour of the facility, its history and the history of the business. Owner was very humble and soft-spoken, but he certainly knows what he is doing and this business is now on our "highly recommend" list to friends visiting the area. In a region where generally characterless micro-breweries are sprouting up everywhere, this is a perfect example of 'quality' over 'quantity'! Well done!

They have a nice beer garden outside which is great for warm weather. Since it wasn't warm we opted to be inside. There is a beautiful cozy area with fireplace and some comfy seats. Definitely a nice place, but it gets pretty crowded as seating inside is limited.

After relocating from the Reston/Herndon, VA, area, where I had access to about 8 great breweries,…read moreit's a bit of a shock to move to a town with only one craft brewery---but Hawksbill Brewing helps fill the gap. It's the only place in town where you can camp out for hours to watch a game and not feel pressured to order food. There is no working kitchen here but a food truck offering Mexican fare is typically here Monday through Saturday (not on Sunday though). The beer is great - something for nearly everyone, from porters and stouts to IPAs to ales. Missing Sours and Goses* so if you're a fan of those styles you may have to try something else. They also have a N/A root beer for the DD in your group. The ladies behind the bar (there may be a male server too but I have not encountered one) are small town friendly and will happily recommend restaurants where you can pick up food, or hidden gems in town for the tourists. *It is possible they have Sours and Goses during the year as their beer menu changes often. But their mainstays appear to be their brown ale, cream ale, at least one IPA, a porter, and a stout. The Christmas Mouse is a very high ABV (over 10%) but it is delicious.

There was a huge outdoor space for kids and families complete with some games and picnic tables. We sat in the closed-in porch area and were treated to some live music on a Saturday. The beer was solid - hubby. and I split a flight and enjoyed the marionberry wheat and Sweet Nala stout. We liked their logo "Soil to Suds" and bought a few shirts - they even had a bunch of shirts on sale for $5! Great place for family time at a brewery.

There is seating both inside and outside. The inside is a bit stark on the inside with drywall on the walls and ceiling. I woulds have loved if they had lined the walls and ceiling with something like pine. I've sampled a number of their brews. My fave brews thus far are two ales: - Snafu (Strong Ale) - The Donkey Calleth (Imperial IPA) They have a small popcorn machine for snacks (which is free) - but other than that, as far as I can tell - there are no other food options. The folks who run the place are super nice. There is no WiFi network and they currently do not accept Apple Pay. #FourJsFarmAndBrewery

We knew nothing about this place so it was such a great surprise to pull up to such a cute place. I am not a big beer person but i go with the flow. But that didnt matter as soon as i asked what kind of beer do you have for the girl that doesnt like beer the owner said well i have some lemonade here i can make you a shandy. SOLD! thank you for making your none beer liking customers right at home in a brewery. The brewery itself was so cute and cozy and as soon as we walked in i said someone is making chilli and i need it. So we ordered that and the picnic basket. Was blown away because both choices were exactly what i needed. The chili was so yummy and a little bit spicy. The picnic basket had this dip that i could not stop eating even after the bread and the crackers we used to dip were gone. This brewery has board games and what looks like space for live music that would be perfect chill night out. My friends all tried beer and they all liked it. I know nothing of hops and what not so i have nothing to add here but my shandy was great and if we didnt have other stops to make i would have definitely would have a second. if you ever find yourself in virginia and in need of a nice place to hang out, watch the game or if you ware craving chilli, head here everyone is nice and welcoming and you will get good food and drinks

They have a Wednesday burger night thing going on with delicious cheeseburgers and sides. The beer was also great and they have a pretty decent selection on dark beers. I particularly loved the beer called "cock and pull it" and the oatmeal stout they had. They have limited hours now due to COVID-19, but definitely worth checking out and interacting with locals.
