Recently I went with my girlfriend a week ago and it was the best experience in my life, They renovated the place and everything looks nicer and cleaner! When I wrote my review it was almost 2 years ago so a lot has changed especially the fact I was 16 and now I'm 18 almost 19. The food was enjoyable as always I enjoy the soup and pizza especially the brownies and my girlfriend really liked the mac and cheese pizza (and crackers). Service was also amazing my girlfriend made the cashier laugh and the workers would announce what pizza was up fresh. I hope this makes up for my previous experience but I'm looking forward to visiting more often:) read more

We only went because of the 2.99 deal on their app. Haven't been to this location before and it honestly was falling apart. Big leak in the ceiling in the lobby with a trash can collecting the water. It looked like 10+ people working and the lobby was a disaster, Ice overflowing the pop machine, trash all over the floor and tables. The staff is super friendly! I usually always get my food to go. They take pizza requests and they come out fresh and hot so that's a plus. Great price point and they take AARP too. My only concern is their soda dispensing machine and the tea canisters. There is evidence of black mold on them and it doesn't seem they get cleaned. So I don't get their drinks. This was a favorite spot for me 20 years ago, and upon returning to Texas they did NOT disappoint. The TACO pizza is still on point as always, and the pepperoni pizza is still their best seller they refuse to put on the bar just like 20 years ago. but their always a selection of throws of flavors like bbq chicken pizza. but their ranch is as delectable as their marinara. I went to this location this past Friday and my experience is something I had to write and inform not only corporate but the community. It started with the pizza line. There was no pizza on the pizza line for over 25 minutes. Had customers circling around the buffet like sharks every 5 mins because pizza was coming out just going into boxes and not on the line. As I was speaking with the manager Kel about the pizza line, that he could care less about, I hear yelling from the pizza line worker his name is Sam, yelled PIZZA IS COMING. Also yelled from the back YOU CAN LEAVE, when I asked for his name. By the way Sam was the tallest male in the building yelling across the way to a female customer. Sam's background should be check because what man yells across the way to a female and a paying customer at that. I then ask Kel is this how you allow your worker to speak and yell at your customers over asking about the pizza line? Kel said Sam is my boss and turned and walked away. After speaking with Matthew over the phone about the situation that happened, he informed me he would call the store and request for customer coupons for free buffet to cover my family of four buffet, which I greatly. I head to the front to request my coupons so I can come back another day. The female at the front her name is Khole ignored me completely and walked off two times before the third time I had to ask her "Hello am I inviable," She then stated "What do you need" I stated "OMG why do you have an attituded with me? I never had any interaction with you, I was speaking with the manager about the pizza line. Can you please go get your manager so that I can get my coupons to leave, and can I have your name?" She stated her name and then rolled her eyes and said DO YOU WANT MY LAST NAME TOO?" I stated, "No thank you just your manager." As the manager walks up to the front Khole comes stomping behind him and as I'm tell him about the rude service, I received from Khole she is yelling on the side, and I ask Kel "Is this how the company trains for customer service?" I don't remember his reply because Khole was still yelling on the side, and I quickly followed up with "If I can please have my coupons for another day I've spoken to Matthew." I then told Khole please learn some customer service and walked out. Khole cannot handle customer she needs to be place in the back washing dishes not to interact with customers until she is trained better or understands customer service. I look down at my coupons and it says buy one get one free, so you mean with all that happened I still must pay more money to be treated like dirt that's crazy. You will see the pizza line photo that has not pizza and you can see Sam in the back with the long unnetted hair at that and you can also see Kel putting 5 to 6 pizza boxes in the to go area while the buffet line and active customers are fighting over the only slice of pizza out. I can give quick training advice, when a customer ask for pizza on the line instead of blowing them off or having coworkers yell from the back that pizza is coming, you should inform the customer "I do apology for the delay, pizza will be out on the line in 10 mins. Is there any special pizza topping you would like to request on a pizza that is on its way out?" Training for the other coworkers "STAY out of the situation when the manager is speaking with a customer" Easy enough , Your Welcome. read more

This is one of the cleanest locations I have ever been to! Everything was stocked, trash picked up, tables clean. All the pizzas and salad bar ingredients were fresh. Huge variety of pizzas and even desert pizzas! They had one called a vanilla Bavarian desert and it was amazing. All the staff were super nice and we were greeted immediately. Cicis has really upped their pizza game lately! This Cicis gets pretty busy during dinner time so bare with them but $5.99 for AYCE pizza, pasta, and salad can't be beat. Is it the best pizza, no. However it is fresh, tasty, and they have tons of options. Don't see a pizza you want? They have these little cards that you can fill out and hand in then they'll get you a customized pizza made fresh, just for you. EVERY person I've encountered here is super charming too! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they could keep the area where you put the trash and plates a little cleaner, it gets so full it starts spilling out the top and hard to put your plates away. This place is terrible! You'd think the location it would be nice but no. My kids love cicis but this one is bad. They'll up charge you and won't let you know. They don't have any customer service no one greets or says anything. They place is beyond dirty and looks unorganized. Just very messy and not clean! And they don't change out pizza that's been sitting and they barely have pizza out in general. Go to the one in austin by capital plaza or the one by north Lamar. They're way better! read more

I mean. It's a Cici's Pizza - the equivalent of a greasy Chinese buffet in pizza form. And, I suspect, a lot of people keep coming back because their nostalgia glasses make everything shine just a little brighter. (I'll admit it - that's certainly what brought me to this location!) Employees were friendly, I didn't notice any bad attitude. The cashier in particular was super friendly. Prices were $5.99/person for lunch, which was well worth the 3 plates of pizza I inhaled. Some favourites include the BBQ pork pizza (when you see it, grab it, because *everyone* loves this pizza and it never lasts long at the buffet line), the spinach alfredo pizza, the garlic bread, and of course, the cinnamon apple dessert pizza (when I was a kid, I used to eat 5-6 slices of this every time I went to Cici's). Do not eat their cinnamon rolls though - they're obviously frozen rolls that are heated up to serve, and most of the time the dough still feels/tastes raw. I usually avoid the mediocre salad and pasta - why fill up on those cheap items when you could gorge yourself on the pizzas? I love Cici's and all the memories it has given me. But I also cannot in good faith give more than an average 3-star rating to a pizza buffet when there is much better pizza in town. Go for the value, but don't expect mind-blowing pizza (with the exception of the cinnamon apple - always expect mind-blowing cinnamon apple pizza). read more

So I usually get cicis pizza down in Austin. Recently I went to the one in Round Rock and holy crap it's like day and night. They put butter on the crust which they don't do at the one in Austin. We were here at rush time and there was hardly anyone here. At the Austin location you're lucky to find a seat. The selection was much better to. I had a Alfredo pizza with pepperoni and it was Heaven. There's a game room in the back. It's in a great location and as always cicis is very affordable. $6.09 for an adult and 3.99 for kids. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. The staff was approachable and friendly but the staff member that set the tone and brought it home for my family and I was Cherish. Cherish was a doll from the start; she welcomed and took care of us like family all while cleaning and taking care of other customers and she keeps positive attitude and a smile on her face. At this point, I've been to CiCi's with my family on several occasions and every time we come her momentum and attitude is the same and truly unmatched. I went with my husband and 3-year-old today (Sunday). They were open but should NOT have been. They had notes up that the bathrooms were closed... but they were still operating. The store was absolutely filthy and smelled horrible. We ended up leaving. It was not crowded and the staff was friendly but I can not believe they were operating with no bathrooms and smelling as rancid as it did. Yes, 5 stars. Yelp says that means "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" Your mileage may vary (c'mon, it's a buffet), but I'm interpreting that to mean "This is as good as it gets for a pizza buffet", and on the day and at the time I went, that's my opinion of this location. Somehow this location has the same number of stars (2.5 at the time of this writing) as the 14005 N Highway 183 location, which I actually live a lot closer to, and that's just not fair, because this Round Rock location is better by leaps and bounds! Part of why I went to this one is to find out if Cicis went so downhill in general, and I'm pleased to learn that is not the case // Update: Looks like I got this location's score up to 3 stars - woohoo. =) This location was cleaner, the pizza was better, there were more choices, they kept the buffet filled out, they actually had dessert unlike the 183 location, the staff was friendlier, there were more employees working, and they had music (good music) playing (Tears for Fears - yea!). They had this unique chicken pizza with tortilla strips and a little green salsa on it that I thought was really good, and I usually don't like green salsa. I also had their cheese pizza, spinach pizza, and BBQ pizza. They had the available spinach in regular crust and thin crust. I love that they haven't changed their spinach pizza recipe in over 20 years. The dessert pizzas can be very floppy and could probably use a thicker crust, but they taste great. The cinnamon roll dessert is my favorite. Anyway, for $6.48, this was a complete steal. I will try the Lamar location next, which has 4 stars, to see if it's really that much better than this one. Let me start off by saying that this is the first sit down restaurant that I have been to since this pandemic started March 13 to be exact that I started staying at home. I have been at home with my 3 kids, helping my daughter with her school work and everything else that has came along with it. I have been to Walmart, target and heb here and there employees have been rude at times. But not here at cicis the young girl I didn't get her name was SO nice from the beginning. Very polite and kind yes ma'am or no ma'am to everything I said. She would say thank you! The whole place was clean, it was set up for every other table. They handled everything. The cashier was nice everything about this first sit down experience of mine was just amazing! I can't thank the young girl enough it made my day! Closed without notice at 4:30 pm on Sunday during normally open hours for some special customers apparently. Served the customer in front of our family of 2 adults and 2 children under 9. We could see the buffet fully stocked and without anyone taking any food from it at that moment. They put a hand-written sign in the door, said they were closed to us, and that we could come back in an hour (which made no sense to us, driving down from Waco to S. Austin today). Man out of all the CICIS in the area I think this one is the worst and I like cicis. So at this location first of all it smells like propane or like that fingernail cleaner that gets the nail polish off and it was a strong smell. Then the pizza when I first got here tasted old and some was burnt and not too much to choose from. Then when they finally put out more pizza it wasn't cooked all the was super chewy. We came here for pizza for the kids after school we knew it was Cicis and didn't expect much but it was beyond disgusting! Not only is the place absolutely filthy but the food was old and my son found a finger nail in his salad. The sad part was we paid over $40 to eat crap in a filthy environment. NEVER again!
