I wasn't planning on eating…read morehere I had just met up here with someone to purchase something off FB marketplace, since I was in the parking lot I decided to go in and get some lunch and I'm glad I did. On first impression coming in I felt like I went back in time to an old cafeteria for senior citizens, and it is kind of that way but it's open and airy with plenty of good booth seating. The music is depressing as it's all old mostly from the 70's stuff, which is ok but I don't like crying over my food usually! Bit of a joke there so don't get upset if you love it! The good news is the food is actually pretty good! Usually these types of restaurants actually do cater to the local elderly crowd and so sometimes the food is understandably bland but not so much this time. I was seated instantly (apparently seat yourself) and was greeted immediately by Kelci,, a great server with a very pleasant and beautiful smile and a very professional and efficient demeanor. I ordered the grilled catfish with mashed potatoes and green beans. The catfish was surprisingly good with a nice flavor (even though the filet was almost tiny, luckily I wasn't too hungry, it still tasted good and the tartar sauce is came with was perfect). The sides I had were mashed potato's (again, nice flavor but no gravy) and the green beans were pretty fresh even though probably from a can, and those were pretty bland. Funny thing is there were no bread options for the meal but it was lunchtime so maybe that's why? They also have a large selection of desserts which Kelci helped me pick through. I got a slice of German chocolate cake which was huge and delicious, I couldn't finish it. Also the tea is good old southern tea, I had the half and half because it's pretty sweet but that's the way it's supposed to be! Overall the place was very clean and smelled nice. There's ample parking outside and the location is convenient. I will probably come back when in the area but won't make a drive from where I live in Cartersville just to eat here. So overall I'm giving 5 stars for the excellent service (thank you Kelci), 4 stars for the food, 3 for the atmosphere (kick up the music to add in some modern rock or something!) and 5 stars for cleanliness, parking and location. Definitely recommend for locals and folks passing through.

Adam was our server, and he took wonderful care of us! We started with wonderful warm garlic rolls and marinara sauce, then a very nice bottle of Italian red wine. The House and Caesar salads were good ways to prepare for the main courses. I had the Crab and Lobster Ravioli which was spectacular, and my wife had the Tuscan Chicken that was equally as fantastic. The portion sizes were healthy, and we judiciously made sure not to overeat so that we could box up leftovers for tomorrow while allowing ourselves the ability to splurge on desserts. I loved the mini cannoli while my wife was in heaven eating her tiramisu. It was a perfect dinner date, and we will surely be back!

I should never have to ask for water or a plate to have my dinner on. They do charge 5% on AMEX cards- which I find insulting as a business owner myself. Maybe my next trip to Calhoun I'll revisit the restaurant in hopes of a better experience all around.

Honestly, this whole experience was just awful. We drove an hour to eat here and we'll probably…read morenever be back. Let's start with walking through the door. We walk in, there's a small waiting area with one couple ahead of us. We stand to the side and wait and another group of men comes in and passes right by us to the host stand. The host saw us there, knew we were there, and still sat them ahead of us. Okay, frustrating, but whatever. Then we get seated. It's just my husband, I, and our two toddlers. They're old enough to both eat their own meals by themselves, mind you. We go to order drinks and she only takes mine and my husband's, ignores the kids, and starts to walk off. I said, "excuse me, they'd both like a lemonade please". She acted like this was an inconvenience but said okay and brought back a single lemonade apparently for both boys to share. Mind you, when we get the bill, we're charged for three adult drinks and one child's when my husband and I got one soda each and the kids only got one lemonade. So an extra $3 for something we never received. Then we order a cheese dip with jalapeños on the side. She brings it back, it has jalapeno blended in. I nicely said, could we get one for the kids without jalapeños? She says "okay so you didn't want this and you just wanted plain cheese dip?" And I said yes... but jalapeños on the side. Easy mistake to make, but you could not be rude about it. It comes back cold, no big deal. Then it comes time to take our order. I order and my husband orders and she shuts the book and starts to walk away. Once again... "the boys would like to order also... they'd like cheese quesadillas with fries". Again, she acts annoyed she even has to deal with the kids order. We get our food, 12 minutes exactly passed before our kids got their one plate. Our food was already cold so I just asked if we could have one extra plate for them to share it since it took so long already. She comes back and says "so now you want extra fries or something?" I said no we just need a plate... again, she acted irritated and I said they literally just need to have something to eat off of. Thank you. Lastly, we ordered the "fried brownie bites" as listed on the menu. We're then told they don't have fried brownie bites and she acted like we were in the wrong for asking for exactly what the menu said. We got four tiny brownies that were frozen in ice cream. The only positives we have about this meal was the flavor of the fajita quesadillas were phenomenal and I bet they would have been great when they were warm and even though the brownie desert isn't even close to what's advertised, it was good! I can't in good conscience recommend or patronize a business that treats children like they don't deserve to be a part of a meal when they're really good kids. They don't make a mess, they don't make a lot of fuss, they just wanted a drink and their own food.
