Solid traditional Italian fare. We were all crepe'd and poutine'd out so some pasta was due. Did not disappoint.

While stopping in Quebec City on a cruise, we discovered this restaurant on Yelp. We took an Uber from the cruise port to the restaurant which was less than a $10 ride. It was well worth the trip. The service was excellent as our server, Phillipe spoke perfect English and made us feel welcome. The food quality was excellent, the wine selection was good and the service was all 5 star. If I ever get back to Quebec City, I will be back. read more

This is located about 10-12 minutes walk from the Hilton. The walk over to here is not well lit and can feel sketch, but Quebec seems to be one of the safest cities I've been to. They close at 9pm and the restaurant is on the small side. They were able to accommodate 9 of us. The food was very good and worth the walk over. The portions were pretty average and the prices was not that bad. I would probably say the carbonara was the best dish. The linguine Ciccio was a close second. The lemon spaghetini is a little heavy on the lemon side and needs more sauce to it. It's still good though, but not my go to. Service was great and attentive. read more

First time at Ciccios and, if we lived in Quebec City, we'd be back often. Nicely hidden away from the touristy sites, it serves outstanding Italian food. We ordered the pasta carbonara, the linguine with shells (vongole), the pasta carbonara, the linguine Ciccio and the tomato sauce pasta. The food was worthy of any Italian trattoria I've ever been to. For dessert, we had the profiteroles and they were very good. Service was attentive but not intrusive. The ambience was very Italian, except maybe for the 60s and 70s pop music. Street parking but not hard to find given the out of the way location. Would give it 6 stars if I could. read more

This place rocked. There are other Italian places in the area but stop your search and come here. Looked at Yelp and saw that people felt the same. This is a hidden gem atop a hill with generous portions, good service, and awesome food. Definitely was enough to share across 3 people! If you're in the Quebec area, please make this a stop of yours! The Lemon pasta is delicious! read more

Very nice and fancy ambiance. Service was decent enough. The Linguine Ciccio was rlly good.

What a charming place, with excellent service and delicious old-style Italian dishes. A neighborhood gem, worth the 1.5 miles we walked to go there. Reasonable pricing. Would definitely recommend it and if I return to Quebec, I would certainly go back. read more

Nice atmosphere, good service and decent food. Overall a nice spot and good attentive service but the food lacked depth and flavors. We had the calamari which was good, had the veal Marsala that tasted sweet, fettuccine Alfredo was decent. The spaghetti bolognese lacked taste and the linguine with clams was just bland. read more

This is more of a 4.5 stars but I will give it a 5. Only serves dinner, take note. Service was friendly. Cozy restaurant. Not sure about the parking, the street was closed at the time because of construction. Calamari: was overcooked, you can tell by the color of the breading and confirmed when eaten. The sauce and the salad that came with it was good though. Linguine Ciccio: al dente pasta and sauce was great. I wish it comes with a garlic bread but all good. read more

Wonderful food, the service was great, and moderate prices, less expensive than most others we looked at.

I was in quebec city for the weekend and I found this hidden italian restaurant away from touristy area. It was located on the hill, however, it was worth the walk to the restaurant. The servers here were very friendly and accommodating. We didnt have reservation but I called ahead around 5pm and they were able to get us in. So definitely try going early if you dont have reservation. We got calamari for appetizer and this was the best calamari because it melted in our mouths. We also got chicken alfredo and seafood pasta and they were so delicious. It felt like I was in italy as i was eating this pasta. Chicken alfredo was super creamy and seafood pasta was white wine based and it was full of seafood. For dessert, we got crème brûlée and affogato and it was absolutely amazing. If i were to come back to quebec city, Ill come back for this delicious italian food. If you are in the area, please visit! It is so worth it. read more

This is one of the best hidden gems/Italian places I've ever been too. The food (fettuccine alfredo for me) was so creamy and delicious. Just wow. The service was very nice and funny, and brought out a 2-foot long pepper grinder. Got to love it. From the neon sign catching your attention from down the street outside this beautiful little place to the classy tables and pictures of Marylin Monroe on the inside, this place was awesome!!!! I will go here every time I'm in La Vieille Capitale!!!! read more

This was a great find during a fall vacation to Quebec. Outside of the main tourist area with a quiet, unflashym but comfortable dining room Old-world service: attentive, polie and helpful, no one trying to be your best friend for tonight. We had escargot, Caesar salad, lemon pasta and the walleye -- two superior dishes and two good ones: the escagot was tender with a delicious and rich cream sauce and a small piece of flaky pastry, but not cloying; the walleye was perfectly broiled,, crispy ont he outside tedner and moist inside; capers, and berries (cranberries? not sure) but absolutely delicious. The salad and pasta were good but not outstanding. Many dishes I'd like to come back and try: red sauce pastas, the salmon, and chicken marsala. Nothing groundbreaking here, but a very solid meal, where the foor and servivce made you feel like a local, and that you were entitled to a great meal. read more

They fit us in on a Friday night with an 8pm reservation. We were having trouble finding some place to eat so we were grateful. The restaurant was cute with a very mellow vibe. We were a party of 4 and we ordered the rice balls and fried cheese squares. We did not like either. I personally ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and I'd give it 2 stars. The chicken tasted like it was from a can. Others tried it at my table and all said the same. Also, it wasn't very flavorful as a whole. My husband ordered the steak and fries and really liked it. One friend ordered the veal Parmesan and said it was very good, the other ordered two entrees to try. He ordered the spaghetti in meat sauce which was really good and the carbonara which wasn't great, at all. For dessert we tried the crème brûlée. It wasn't great. All in all, we wanted to love this place because of the reviews and everyone was so kind, but in our opinion it really fell short in flavor, but certainly not in service or atmosphere. read more

Amazing little spot off the main streets! If you got a craving for some really delicious Italian eats, this could be the place for you! As usual, my fellow yelpers put me on the right path. We tried the carbonara and the duo du chef where the chef picks to pastas for you to try instead of ordering one full dish. :) I like the element of surprise and we really enjoyed what they brought out for us! The service was extremely attentive. They don't really dedicate one server per table which works well when all of them work so well as a team. Every table was well taken care of with water, service, billing, etc. Smoothest dinner we've had in a while and all the staff, by the way, are amazing!!! Its a really cute dining spot that's great for small tables. Date night anyone?? read more

Read the reviews and thought we'd give it a try... First of all, we went on a Thursday night and the place was packed! We got inside and it was very nice..We were asked if we had a reservation and we didn't. The lady sat us anyways!!! The service was fantastic and our server spoke English and was very nice! The food was delicious and the portions were very adequate! We would totally go back if we lived locally!! read more

Great little Italian gem just off of rue St Jean! Yelp led us to this spot, and as usual, we were not disappointed. This is a tiny restaurant with maybe 10 or 12 tables and a small bar, which lends to an excellent ambiance. I speak French, but my wife and daughter don't, and they were so happy that our host and servers both spoke English. We were excited to see that suppli (arancini siciliani) was on the appetizer list. Suppli is a deep fried risotto ball filled with meat sauce with a mozzarella ball in the middle. These were much smaller than what they serve in Italy, sans the mozzarella ball in the middle, but still very good, as the cheese is mixed with the risotto for a very creamy bite of goodness. For our main courses, we had the Linguini Ciccio, the Fettuccini Alfredo, and the Spaghetti Carbonara. All 3 were fantastic! The pasta was so fresh, and the sauces were smoothly divine. Incredible flavor! This is the best Italian food that we've had in a long time - probably since being in Italy. Compliments to the chef, as well as to the front of the house, for their excellent service. read more

We came here on a rainy day and it was definitely and older crowd, very chill and relaxing music. Decorated more old-school with darker colors. Do not recommend the crab cakes - not very flavorful and pretty dry. I did however like my smoked salmon pasta and it was a large portion. Nothing memorable, but good for standard Italian food. read more

The service at this little cafe is amazing. We came on a Saturday night at 8pm and it was packed - so you know this is a popular spot for Italian food. We weren't that hungry so we ordered the calamari, the caprese salad and an order of their prosciutto, capers and olive penne. We shared the pasta and to our surprise, the chef brought us two plates with the pasta already separated! The calamari and salad tasted amazing and full of flavour. The pasta wasn't bad, but I found it a little too salty for my liking. I don't think it was the restaurant's fault, it was just a dish that didn't suit my tastebuds. Water was always refilled and they came to check in on us every so often. read more

My goodness. I had spectacular pasta here. It was absolutely the best pasta I've ever had. It just made me super excited and happy. The services was A+ and food was just on par with the service. I had a tomato based sauce pasta (I forget the name), but it was delicious. I didn't know pasta could be made so well, but this place knocked it out of the park for me. I was just walking around and saw how good the reviews were, so I tried it out. It can't get much better than this! By far, the most friendly server. He was really patient with me because I didn't know a lot of the dishes and explained it very thoroughly. It was amazing. If I'm ever back in QC, this is a must!!! read more

Excellent, attentive service. Wonderful food. Exceptionally reasonable prices for the quality offered

Our last night in Quebec and we wanted something special. We did a food tour earlier in the day and felt we had plenty of traditional food in us and were craving Italian. While there were plenty of well reviewed spots on Yelp, I opted for this one for the "off the tourist path" and great reviews. Yelp came through again as this place really is awesome! It has an old school charm and feels like an Italian restaurant should: warm and inviting, classy yet laid back. We opted for the fixed dinner options and both of our dinners were positively delicious! I got the cheese appetizer which was this yummy crusted warmed cheese , vegetable soup, a duo of pasta which was chefs choice and finished with profiteroles and cappuccino. My boyfriend had pork meatballs, veggie soup, cannelloni, and coffee and 3 layer chocolate cake for dessert. The prices were crazy reasonable; 8 bucks for a lovely glass of wine and about $35 for all the food listed above PP. I loved being away from all the tourists and enjoying great food in a lovely environment. GO! You will love it! read more

60-70's throwback for sure! It's where the boomers come when downtown -- no hipsters in sight! Good service. Table d'hôte included a Chinese appetizer and curry main dish. Italian choices included Québec/Italian home-cooking classics. By this I mean it's a notch up from how my Quebecer mom would have made it. Climb On Up, It's Worth the Walk! My wife and I found Ciccio Café on Yelp and I'm so glad we did. Yes, it's a walk up the hilly streets but they are so charming (right off of Rue St. Jean) that it's worth it. Once we got the restaurant we were pleasantly surprised by a wonderful Italian meal rivaling the best of what we've had in the US. The service was excellent as well. The restaurant is small but so charming. Great music selection as well. I can honestly say that this was the best meal we had while on our Canadian vacation. Try it! read more

Delicious pasta! My husband and I went for dinner on a Sunday night. The restaurant was busy but not over-crowded and not too noisy. We had the linguine di mare, the seafood was fresh and the bouillabaisse-like sauce was so tasty we ate it like soup after the pasta was gone. We also had lemon pasta (can't remember the exact name) and it was out-of-this-world delicious! We talked about the lemon pasta the next day and contemplated going back for lunch but they are closed on Mondays. The fresh baked bread they bring to the table was very tasty, they had to refill our bread basket at one point! We made reservations but when we arrived I didn't see anyone waiting to be seated. The service was excellent, the staff are very accommodating. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Italian cuisine! read more
