it was our first time here and we've been wanting to try it out. we came in during a weekday and were seated right away. the restaurant is that of a local mom and pop restaurant which i like. we ordered the fried ravioli for appetizers and and pizza to split. if has mushrooms, prosciutto, and gorgonzola cheese. the ravioli were crispy and had a good cheesy filling on the inside and the marinara with it was good. the pizza was more of a "thin" crust so it was light and not too heavy. i would've preferred my pizza to be cooked a little more to get a nice caramelization of the cheese and toppings. overall, we enjoyed our meal and our server was friendly and attentive. we will definitely be back! read more

While visiting the Niceville area, we wanted to eat Pizza, so we originally went to Tradewinds Pizza but upon arrival, we were advised that it was a 2 hour before a table would be ready for us, so we left and went to Ciao Bella. We were seated immediately and the waitress (Sarianna) was very professional and polite, as I told her that I had a hearing impairment. She took our order and came back numerous times to our table to make sure that we had everything that we needed. We ordered two pizzas, one just cheese, and the other was Supreme, both were tasty. Food was not very good. If you order the margherita pizza, make sure you read the full ingredients; it comes with artichokes (which we requested to not include) but what we didn't notice is it doesn't come with tomato. Not exactly what you'd expect from a margherita pizza. Biggest problem was it just wasn't good. Even the bread before the meal wasn't good. Server was fine but not great. Served us wet plates we had to wipe down with napkins. Also didn't attempt any sort of apology or recovery when we were obviously disappointed in the food. Definitely won't return. read more

Lets be honest, little honey Loves Ciao Bella so that's that and we've been in enough times deserving to bump up and rewrite the review. And while there's been a few not so good experiences here early on long ago, these last many, many times we've been in have all been really, really good and safe to say hospitality's been really, really Niceville. You can expect small misgivings and the food's not going to be spectacular, spectacular but we've enjoyed everything thoroughly in a casual sort of way. I know that's not going to make sense to everybody, but it's like going to eat at your sister's house. Comfortable and good enough to overlook the short comings. I like that there's never really been a wait, we always seem get a good table, and parking's easy ...but that's largely due to timing; I see they get busy driving by. Sort of late to the plate, but when someone gives you a prescription for happiness, you fill it. read more

Tried Ciao Bella for the first time and something about that restaurant makes me not want to go back.... Being the 2nd table in the whole restaurant it took 8 minutes to get menus. The server, bless her heart, was trying but I assume she was new maybe new to the service industry? She had AirPods in the whole time, never once did we get a refill. We order a 12" cheese pizza and a chicken alfredo. The pizza just tasted odd to me. So I ate 2 slices and my husband said the chicken alfredo had no taste to it, just buttered noodles and chicken. We had to ask for the roll that was supposed to come with it. We got that while he was half way done with his meal but that was the best thing we ate from there. Meanwhile while we're trying to eat you could hear the cooks in the the back cussing like a sailor. It was definitely not worth the $33 dollars. Best Italian place in the Niceville area. I love this cute little place. Been coming here for years. The pizzas are handmade & delicious. Pastas are to die for. Drinks are cheap and delicious. I really enjoy the food and the atmosphere at Ciao Bella's. It's one of the better restaurants in the Bluewater/Niceville area. Prices are great as well as the food portions and taste. My only knock on this place in the water...it's so bad. Do yourself a favor and bring in your own water if that's what enjoy with your meal...because even the lemon won't get that taste of that water off of your tongue. read more

We were very pleased with our meal tonight. We had a large group. All meals arrived hot and correct. The pizza was very art-looking the edge crust was filled with meat and sauce very cool. Pricing was BELOW market average. The chicken parm sandwich and meatball sandwich were large portions for a fair price. The eggplant parm was cooked perfect and side past piping hot. The service could have been more prompt. Huge delay in getting drinks and server tried bringing the wrong meals to our table. read more

Horrible service. Waitress "Fynn?" has no business waitressing. She is loud and obnoxious. She stands there and takes our order (basically yelling and we are right in front of her and the place is empty), and doesn't write anything down then keeps coming back to the table asking us again what we ordered. So annoying. Just write it down! I ordered Spaghetti for $9.95. I get the bill and the charge is $9.95 plus $4.50 for the sauce. Ummm what? We'll skip this place next time we're in town. read more

This restaurant has gone downhill, prices are super high for frozen food and the scenery is dingy looks like they can't afford a remodel even though prices have been raised 2 times in the past year I can only imagine what they pay the employees. Bathrooms are disgusting you would think all the maintenance they do in them they could at least wipe down the walls. Years ago this place was fantastic! Not so much anymore...I stopped coming here after I noticed a decline in the quality of food and service. Tonight I decided to give it another try. Let's face it, there are few choices in Niceville. Wish I could report something good however this place needs a facelift. The service wasn't poor but not good either, our server was wearing flip flops...really? The food was mediocre at best. My Fettucine Alfredo was spaghetti noodles and the alfredo was bland. Bread is a complimentary starter yet if you want oil with garlic to dip it in you will pay another $1.50-what? It does come with butter but it is so cold it doesn't melt. All in all it seems as though the owners have become complacent. If they would fall in love with the business again maybe they could thrive in a town that will support them. read more

Was very skeptical to eat here because I saw how steeply the ratings for this place fell in the last couple years. I came with a large group and I was probably the only one who left satisfied. The best thing I heard uttered during the meal was "this chicken would be good... if it were cooked." The first batch of bread came out incredibly stale. I like to think I have strong teeth but I'll probably need to get them realigned after this bread. The second batch was much better (I'm guessing the first was just the bottom of the barrel), probably the best bread I've had in the Niceville area, so I'll give them that. For my main, I ordered the 14" Calzone. Huge and extremely fresh for the price ~$14. This place is a real hit or miss. The people are genuinely pleasant, the bread is amazing if you can get it fresh and the food is good for the price as long as it's made in oven. read more

Authentic Italian recipes and a very friendly, attentive staff equal a great dining experience. Ciao Bella food is always hot and delicious and never lets me down. The addition of Bella Blue Bar is perfect for a happy hour meal and drinks. They have several craft beers and the bartenders are very nice. Every time I got to Ciao Bella they make me feel like family. I also enjoy the music there. The bar is nice as the sound in the room is great and not too loud so you can really talk without yelling. Keep up the good work y'all. The only use fresh wings and you can really taste the difference. They don't precook their wings so they come out hot and fresh every time. The main reason I was moved to write today was because last nights experience (Monday) was open mic night and it was a whole lot of fun and I really enjoyed listening to and meeting some of the local musicians. Ciao Bella has wonderful food HOWEVER- went for a nice date night to have the worst service I've ever experienced. Started as soon as we walked in the door. No one greeted us. We were pointed towards a table. Brought drinks right away and then sat for over 35 mins. No one checked on us. We waived down a worker for bread- which he didn't bring. Gave us a dirty look and then proceeded to clean tables. Everyone around us had food, bread, refills etc. Left money on the table to pay for drinks and walked out. Will never give them another $. I'll drive to Destin next time I want Italian food. read more
