Roasted Chicken Burrito
Ben C.

You are kindly welcomed but on their phone so not the most important. We were seated and the waitress was awesome. I forgot her name but she served well. However, slow to fill our waters. I ordered the chicken burrito. It was tasty but very generic to the atmosphere. The place was clean and had fun things to look at. A little on the noisy side.

Chips & salsa

Another chain restaurant that stand above the rest. Chuy's tex-mex was a great dinning experience. Cene was a fantastic waitress and provided us the best service! The inside of the restaurant was a fun and inviting atmosphere. The chips and salsa were amazing. You could tell the salsa was house made by how fresh it was. And the appetizer sampler was the perfect amount of food for my wife and I to split! The flautas were my favorite but everything was very good. Also my first review as a Yelp Elite let's goooooo!

Hands down the most amazing Tex mex place that serves fresh hot food! I say hot cuz this was the first place to serve us the temperature of food that we would do at home - hot hot!! Friendly staff. Good food. Good drinks. All in all cool place. Might have become my new fav go to joint!

Decor filled with dusk

Food is great. They are actually running On the Boarder out of business. I usually just take food to go. Well my food was not ready, and I saw a sign for happy hour until six and it was 5:45. So, I decided to sit at the bar. Mistake, happy hour wine was $8:00. Normal price is $9:00. That's why I was the only one there at 5:45 pm. The bartender was a child with no personality. The greeters and takeout staff need to trade places with her. I watched her use her nasty hands to apply a lime to a customer's corona beer and fruit to other orders. She got a dollar tip. It's obvious that the restaurant owners never thought about upkeep. They have this grill cage like decor overhead that is covered with built up dusk. Don't dine in if you have lung issues.

Lovely service and great food. I recommend coming during happy hour so chips and queso are cheaper. I liked the quesadillas would order again.

I have been visiting this location for the last three years. I know that every time I visit I will have a good experience. We are always greeted with a smile and seated quickly. My friends and I have ordered many things on the menu. The food is always hot and flavorful. Even the sodas are always perfect. I am on a budget and look forward to eating out occasionally. I know that if I dine here, I will have a positive experience and won't be disappointed. Thank you Will and staff for always making us feel welcome.

Chuy's is Woodbridge is great! We had a party of seven and were seated promptly on a Sunday evening. I ordered the Chicken Flautas, my favorite at each Chuy's I have been to. Most of our party ordered the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo. That seemed like an enormous amount of food and they had plenty to take home. We were certain to ask for the Creamy JalaJalapeño in addition to the regular salsa. We also ordered an appetizer of Queso. I would recommend to Chuy's that appetizer plates be provided when there is a large party in order to make it easier to share the appetizer.

I came to chuy's to have dinner for my 13th birthday and I met Ron , he was a really kind and funny guy, I've never written a review about something before , and the food was amazing, the big as your face burrito are a must!! Overall I loved Ron, he was an amazing person he definitely made my birthday way more better, Oh and the place had a very calm vibe it was chill , loved the colors and lighting !! anyways thanks again Ron for making my birthday better they should definitely give you a raise!! I'll be coming more to chuy's to see him again

This was my first time here and as a native of San Antonio, TX. This wasn't too bad. It did remind of Tex-Mex from Texas but it wasn't quit there but I'm not opposed to trying it again.

Honestly, I've thought long and hard on what to write. Not because I have nothing positive to write, but the opposite, I have nothing critically constructive to write. Therefore, with a mind void of ideas for improvement, I have to give this place a complete five stars. The food is perfect for a Tex-Mex establishment. From the chicken flautas to the kid's hamburger, it is all delicious and perfectly portioned. However, I recommend the chuychanga over all other entrees...muy delicioso! This place keeps your table continuously stocked with complimentary chips and salsa. Truthfully, the service is second to none here. That is probably the element that won me over from four to five stars, the attentive and personable service. Our waitress, Bailey, was terrific! She not only was very attentive but she was also exceptionally personable by providing my wife with recommendations and helpful tidbits about the food and how it is prepared. Her actions and attitude single-handedly earned this place a perfect score from me. If you are thinking that this is just another chain restaurant or that it is just another Chuy's, think again. All Chuy's may look alike but I promise that they do not perform equally. This one is nothing like the others. Go and enjoy this hospitable environment with your loved ones today. Enjoy!

I come to this Chuy's location pretty often and always have great food and often have good servers. The service I had last evening wasn't great. We ordered cheese dip and couldn't get our server to come back to bring us chips so we just sat with our cheese dip getting cold for about 10 minutes before she came back. I will also mention that if you get an item with peppers on the menu and you are not a huge spice person, I would ask the wait staff prior. I ordered an item with peppers a few months ago, and coming from someone who likes spice I was unable to eat the item it was so hot. The manager then let me know the peppers they had received were higher in spice than normal and causing many customer complaints. Overall, I wish I could give chuys a 4.5 out of 5 because the food is normally really great and so is the service. My go to order is the steak burrito with creamy jalepeno sauce and queso as an appetizer. The queso has some kick if you like the spice! Will be returning, this is one of my favorite places to come for Tex-mex.

We had a nice waitress but we had a rough time getting our orders together. But the highlight was the mango margarita which was yummy.

As a native born Texican, I'm always a little wary of Tex Mex places around here...as Lyle Lovett…read morefamously stated, never eat Mexican food east of the Mississippi or north of Dallas. Words that I've lived by my entire life. But being a Tex-pat here in NoVA has had me exploring...and El Paso has been a restaurant that I keep coming back to. I've never been to this location before, but another app had mentioned that it was 3.4mi from my work, so I figured I'd try it out...I've been having a hankering for enchiladas this week and figured I'd scratch that itch. Since it's Friday, I decided to try the Enchiladas Rancheras, described as 2 cheese enchiladas topped with beef or chicken, served with lettuce, a tomato (not needed, I will omit this next time), sour cream and a side of rice and beans. Sounded perfect! I paired it with a bowl of queso and a water, because I'm still on the clock, otherwise it would have been a cold Modelo or swirl margarita. What was brought out to me was not lunch, but a time machine...taking me back to my college days and a meal that I've been chasing for over 20 years. The beef was stewed and tender, and paired with the cheese enchiladas it reminded me of hitting up Taco Cabana after the bars, ordering a carne guisada and a side of queso, mixing it all up together and diving in with chips. I wasn't planning on inhaling the whole plate (and queso too) but I did and even though I am in gastric pain, I do not regret my decision. Even though I'm sure I looked the fool, I closed my eyes while eating it and I was back there in College Station at 2:30am, listening to Cross Canadian Ragweed and having my whole life ahead of me. The food was THAT good...it actually took me back in time. The service was also excellent and attentive, and I wish I had the bravery to go back into the kitchen and shake everyone's hands. I will be coming back, I will be ordering it again (sans tomato) and I will be putting myself into a food coma once again. If you're looking for delicious Tex Mex food in the area, as a native Texan and a descendent of the Old Three Hundred, I highly recommend El Paso...they're a little bit of home right here in Northern Virginia.

However, once inside, my experience was much better than expected. The food arrived hot, was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. My only concern was the service. I had to repeatedly ask for the waitress to return to our table to check on us and provide additional items we needed. Aside from that, the food quality and value made for an enjoyable dining experience.

Let me tell you that we were definitely surprised and what they had to offer. We ordered Maria's Breakfast, Mexican Breakfast Quesadillas, SWEET CORN TAMALE and a coffee. The food was ok but the star of the show was the Sweet Corn Tamales. Wow... it left me speechless, i need to come by often just for their tamales. The chorizo was also very good and everything else was just mid and the coffee was good. Atmosphere was festive but a little loud but its around 11am. They have the soccer games on and music blasting. Service was self serve kiosks but then they bring you the food and they were very friendly and nice. Overall it was a good place to eat and would 100 percent recommend their Tamales.

Ribs were also a good texture and flavorful. The ceviche was ordered on a whim since I've been craving it. It's a smaller portion than what I expected and didn't have too much going on flavor-wise, but it was good enough to satisfy me. Friend got the enchiladas. The service is okay. Even though it's a sit-down restaurant, you order at the front and pay first, then you can choose whichever seat you want. After the food is delivered, there isn't any wait staff coming around so you have to go back to the front area to request anything else. They have a Coca-Cola freestyle machine which was unexpected, but fun. This is definitely a casual spot that's great for families. Lots of people out with their kids since there a shopping plaza and movie theater right across the street. Parking was easy.

We arrived early and were only the second guests, so we had our choice of seating. I started with a cup of coffee, and he had a birch beer. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. I ordered the egg bowl, which was very tasty, along with a side of French toast. He had the steak tips with eggs and really enjoyed his meal. My only small suggestion would be to serve the syrup warm. The French toast was good, but the syrup was a little chilly, and warm syrup would have made it even better. Service was good, the food was enjoyable, and I'm glad TikTok led us here. Would I recommend Bar J? Absolutely! We'll be back.

When we arrived, the bartender seemed to be the only person working the entire restaurant, and told us we could choose a table on the patio. There were one or two tables already seated on the patio and a couple arrived after us. Eventually a second server arrived and he began to serve every table - those that came before and after us - except ours. They all had drinks and some even had food long before we ordered or got our drinks. It took at least 30 minutes to get drinks - and the margarita was unfortunately salty (they did remake it when I finally gave in and asked for an extra splash of sour mix) - and the food took even longer. There were kids in our party who are usually well behaved but after being forced to wait over an hour for food became understandably restless. I got up at one point to ask for a status update and the other server so pointedly avoided eye contact with me that everyone at the table commented on it when I got back. Every other table was done long before we got our food, including those who arrived after us, purely because the other server never even looked towards us so we had to wait for the bartender to have spare time to come out to us. This had nothing to do with the size of our party. This was just the one server choosing to ignore us while still addressing the others around us. The orders were wrong when they finally came out - beef instead of beans for the vegetarian and the chicken taco was missing chicken, we got flour tortillas instead of corn tortillas, and to top it off the food was cold. He did comp our meal, but that was the least that could have been done for us after everything else. It's a beautiful location and the live music was great, but atmosphere isn't enough to convince me to ever return. We left hungry and cranky due to missed bedtimes and inedible food. I've worked in the service industry a long time. I understand being short staffed. I understand being slammed unexpectedly. I don't blame the bartender. But I also don't wish this experience on anyone else ever again, especially other families with children.
