This review will be in 2 parts as I have both dined in, and ordered to go. Went there around 12 on a Saturday and was seated right away. The waitress, Taylor, was extremely friendly and very offering. She actually brought us all the sauces on the menu to try! The hips were great, the sauces were great and the decor was great. My friend ordered a black berry margarita, I ordered a blood orange margarita. They were small and pricey- I think we paid $9.75? I was done in a few sips, especially after trying some sauces. I ordered the regular margarita and made it 18oz this time, this one was the same price and the smaller flavored one, but twice as good. I had run about 5 miles that morning and had eaten nothing at this point, and left without a buzz so take that for what it's worth. Definitely not "real" margaritas that you can find in some places. I ordered combo #1, and my friend got the Baja Tacos but with chicken. Both of the meals were good quality and food portions. I personally didn't love enchilada sauce and would request something different next time- it was good, just not my taste. The Mexican rice was pretty but very tex Mex like... Overall, it was very fresh and very tasty but not authentic Mexican food. The jalapeño ranch is legit though. My bill was $37 for the combo, and 2 margaritas.
Now, that was Saturday and I came to work and told the girls it was good so we ordered it to go on Tuesday. We ordered it at 11:25 hoping to miss the lunch crowd. I placed 5 orders and told them they would all be separate. They quoted me a time of 25 min. I ask where I pick up the food when I get there and was told just at the hostess stand. I thought it was weird but whatever. I drive there, parked in the easy pick up parking spots and went inside. I get inside and there are three hostesses and I tell them what I am there for and they said "oh ok she'll be right back" so I wait. And wait. Meanwhile, they are talking about weekend plans, shoes, etc.... I wait for a while just standing there. Someone finally comes out with my check. It's all combined. So I said, it needs to be separated, and I was asked "why didn't you tell them that on the phone." I (am also a customer service manager btw) said "I did, they repeated the orders back to me separately too. So she says "lemme fix it" and hurries off, poor thing looked stressed. I start waiting again... And again... Now two more to go orders come in, and both check out before she returns. Both times the girls didn't know where to put the signed credit card tickets so they just left them on the bench. I check all my food and make sure it's right, while I am still waiting mind you... The drink has the straw put in and there's no wrapper on the top which makes me kinda grossed out but it's not mine so whatever... The food is correct. She finally comes back and gives me the tickets- the drink is wrong so she fixes that. While I am reviewing the tickets, I notice there is a packaging fee. For what? Putting tacos in a to go box as opposed to arranging them nicely on a plate and then having to do dishes? Makes no sense to me. So I hand her the credit cards and she goes off. I wait. I get to sign the tickets and she goes "wait right here, I'll be right back". So I sign and wait. And wait. And wait. I don't know what I am waiting for, but I was told to wait. The drink is now sweating... The hostesses finally tell me I don't have to wait, and I leave- hands full. Not 1 of the 3 hostesses offer to get the door, but a lovely customer does. I finally get to my car... 27 minutes after I get there. To pick up to go orders. In my opinion, that process is a mess! Needs to be completely reorganized. The manager (who I recognized from Saturday) also walked by me several times and didn't say anything which I thought was weird bc Saturday he was super nice. Mind you, they weren't busy just yet. Our food, while food, was cold. I ordered the chicka chicka boom boom something or other. A co worker orders a burrito- they are huge! And a few other orders I can't remember but all were good. read more
