Chuy's is very new to me and I always wondered what the food was like. From the outside, the colors and decor are very eye catching and inviting. I'm so glad that my friends invited me out to join them! At the table, there is complimentary chips and salsa which is always a nice touch. Chuy's takes it one step further and adds a white cilantro dip (alongside the table salsa) that is just insanely good!!!! My dinner was delicious and my friends loved theirs as well! My steak burrito with the queso sauce was amazing! Among other dishes ordered were the Relleno combo and chicken enchiladas which were savored at the table. The portions are pretty large, so you can easily split a meal with someone or take home leftovers! I got to try some of the Relleno and it was incredible. I can't wait to come back and order that some time! The staff is very personable and has great energy. My server on this visit wasn't as attentive as we expected, but we still enjoyed our overall experience. I'd recommend giving this place a try! read more

Two Words... Creamy Jalapeño Ranch! I dip, you dip, we dip... but honestly, I don't want to share this with anyone, so it's just I dip, I dip, I dip dip dip dip dip. I could totally just fill up on chips and dip. Chips and salsa are secondary here. It IS a tad on the spicy side, so if you're sensitive to spicy foods, be cautious, but it doesn't burn your mouth hole or your south hole, so you should be ok to give it a taste. They also have food because chips and da dip probably don't provide enough sustenance to power your metabolism. I think you need more nutrients and macronutrients and micronutrients to live. Their version of the Chimichanga is probably my favorite Chimichanga I've ever had, at least as far as the crispy outer shell. It's like eating chicken stuffed Mexican glass. And it's loaded with delicious, moist chicken and peppers and such. You can get it topped with one of their sauces. It comes with rice and beans which are also pretty good, but even better if you dump the bowl of ranch on them. In the past, at other locations, I've gotten that Elvis platter which actually is delivered to your table on two plates, so you really feel like Elvis durning his final days. They need a toilet table for a full accurate representation. They also have many of the Mexican staples like tacos and burritos and enchiladas and margaritas. This location reopened as Chuy's a little over a month ago. My recent visit on a Friday evening made it clear that there is room for improvement in some service deficiencies. Delivery of items was slow and my party's needs were haphazardly met. Our server was genial, though, and did explain that the staff was still learning the ropes. I'm sure they will find their grove with time. I really appreciate getting 2 dips (Salsa Fresca & Creamy Jalapeño) with the table chips, both pleasingly spicy. Wish the chips were more sturdy though, especially for the hearty Queso Compuesto, which we all enjoyed. My Baja Shrimp Tacos with refried bean and green chili rice were decent, yet not very memorable. The Spicy Watermelon Marg-tini is a delightful summer cocktail served with a cute shaker. This used to be a Bahama Breeze and now the same location opened a Chuys. We noticed some of the same decoration remain the same but with a twist. Interesting they had a lot of Elvis' pictures. Not going to lie I was confused with that being Chuys but it could definitely be my lack of knowledge. We went for a late lunch and the place was packed. Not sure if it's getting the rhythm right since is new, but the food took a long time and one of our friends had their lunch really really late. The quality was not bad. The AC was not working so it's a little bit warm but later on it cool off. Overall could have been better, but we understand things happen. I plan to come back. read more

Chuy's is back at Waterford Lakes!! It had a different vibe then the previous location. There are a couple of things I miss from the prior location like the chip/dip bar (from a back of a car stand) and the tortilla station. It was also weird to be in the restaurant and not get my traditional Bahama Breeze food. It was a pleasant experience tonight though. Food and drinks were tasty. Chips and dip were good as well. The Comida Deluxe Combo meal is a great deal. It's a big portion with a lot of variety. I am excited Chuy's has reopend at this location. It is a spacious space that offers plenty of indoor, outdoor seating and a nice bar area. I joined a few friends at the bar before dinner. There was plenty of open seating at the bar. We enjoyed some margaritas from the Happy Hour Menu before heading to our table. I enjoyed a classic margarita on the rocks with salt. I often stick to the traditional. Chuy's offers a very good classic margarita. Then we requested a table. We were seated right way. Our waitress, Kayla P., was very nice, polite and attentive. She was very patient with our party as we were still waiting for others to join. I had another margarita during dinner. I can go to Chuy's just for their classic margarita and chips. Yum! For dinner I ordered the Fajita Beef Tacos. Served with 2 tacos, rice, salad and guacamole. Chuy's is a texmex cusine and seasoning. Very different than authentic tacos. For dessert we shared the Churros Bites and the Tres Leches. My favorite was the Tres Leches. Overall my experience was good and I hope to be back for more Happy Hour. read more

We enjoyed the place this used to be, but I was stoked to get an invite to give this new concept a try before the official opening. Let me tell you I'm in! The chips are fresh the sauces and queso are all fantastic and the main courses are huge and so tasty! Our server Isabella was attentive and super nice! A friend of mine advised me that Chuy's was doing a free event to help train staff and get the restaurant ready for opening day. When you walk in it has colorful decorations. We ordered one entree from each of the menu papers for each person in our group. The salsa was fresh and had a kick to it but it was still good. The jalapeño ranch was delicious, it had a unique flavor but it was addicting. Since the place was packed, it took a minute for us to get our food. Once we got our food it was hot and you can tell it went straight from the kitchen directly to our table. Our server was friendly and you could tell he was still learning but anything we asked him if he didn't know the answer he would go ask someone who knew. Everything tasted great and now that we had a chance to try several items we'll be back to try more. read more

This is a nice addition to waterford lakes mall. The place is loud and exciting color wise. The staff extremely friendly and pleasing to talk to. My husband and I went for dinner this Wednesday or Tuesday. I don't quite recall what day it was. We were invited to try it before they opened. We absolutely loved the chips with the jalapeño cream dip. Omg, so addicting! I ordered the Baja shrimp and my hubby ordered the sampler platter. Amd of course couldn't forget the cocktails. Strawberry swirl for me and regular margarita for my hubby, both frozen. We want to return again this weekend because it was amazing, flavorful with a kick to it. See you again soon! read more

This Chuy's replaced Waterford Lakes beloved Bahama Breeze so it has big shoes to fill. The interior and exterior dining areas feel very much like its predecessor but the menu is all its own. Being the new restaurant in town, Chuy's was packed the weekend we visited so we sat at the bar which is open to anyone looking for food or drink, which we consumed both of. The drinks were fruity, sweet and not very powerful in my opinion. The food was good and consistent with the Chuy's brand. My absolute favorite thing to order here is the chicken tortilla soup. My husband orders something different every time and likes everything but a recent favorite was the beef burrito smothered in queso. The portions are big and the prices are affordable when compared to other sit down restaurants. Tip: Make sure they give you the creamy jalapeño dip as part of the complimentary chips and salsa. It isn't a Chuy's experience without it! A piece of trivia: Waterford Lakes had a Chuy's before! It opened in 2016 and closed in 2020. This former Chuy's location was right beside the First Watch in front of the Hobby Lobby plaza, the same plaza Trader Joe's is coming to. The lot that held the former Chuy's now holds a standalone emergency room. I was pleasantly surprised to see Chuy's return. read more

I ordered Chuy's for delivery, so I didn't have the opportunity to provide feedback to the staff - just wanting to make that clear. The food arrived hot at my hotel and smelled amazing - but the spice level was so hot I couldn't eat it. Wasn't expecting it to be SO FREAKING SPICY HOT. If that's what you love - I recommend them - but be prepared. The menu didn't specify any heat level or warning - and I don't mind a little bit of a kick, but this was well beyond that. On another note - the chips are freaking amazing, and I loved the guacamole. The enchiladas, sadly, went to waste. read more

Ambience is great, we read the critics regarding the decor from the previous business. Frankly we were there for the food and not to criticize decorum. Food was great and very delicious; sizable portions. Our only observation is that our server didn't offer us another strawberry margarita or a beer. Otherwise we will definitely return. read more

The food was horrible. 3 Fajitas and some guacamole dip. Also horrible actually had no taste either. Chefs obviously have zero skill in Mexican cooking and those fresh tortilla were terrible. I was disappointed. The staff were goofing around. Two staff members were throwing ice at each other behind the bar. Another female staff member with a tablet threw a pen to a bar tender over the bar and people who were sitting there. I had a taco salad. But it was really just a salad with a lump of guacamole on top. It was served in a white bowl. My "taco" salad consisted of lettuce, carrots?, cabbage?, chicken cubes, tomatoes and some tortilla strips (which I guess is what made it taco salad). No cheese, no pico, sour cream or salsa. It was very dry. I ended up pouring the salsa that came with our chips on it. Doubt I will return. read more

Not much good here except service First of all they don't have any pork. Just beef and chicken. Then they only have a house tequila and margaritas are not very good. The mix is good but the tequila ruins it. Chips and salsa not good. Wonder what they were thinking - salsa too spicy. Chips are like not like what you would expect. Too light and flaky. Made from flour not corn tortillas. The steak was tough and chewy. Mexican rice and beans taste like they came out of a can. Worst rice and beans I ever had. Pico way too spicy. Guacamole smooth and tasteless. They only have flour tortillas which they claim are made fresh in house. First batch came out cold. Second batch warm but they were too thick and chewy. I don't see how they can compete with many other choices we have. read more
