Chuy's staff was friendly from the moment we came through the front door. We sat in the Picasso section of the restaurant. We were immediately served chips, salsa, and jalapeño ranch. We order Tito Cherry limeade to drink- so good. The waitress also brought over samples of their peach wine margarita which is really good too. Dinner was a lot of food, leaving lots of leftover even tasting better the next day. read more

My daughter came into town to celebrate Father's Day. She noticed a new Chuy's in New Braunfels and asked if we wanted to try it. Loving Chuy's, we said "let's go ". As we were driving to the location, she noticed that you could get on the waiting list in the app. We knew that due to the holiday it would be a long wait, so she signed up. That turned out to be a great idea as the place was packed, and we only had to wait 5-10 minutes. We were taken to our table and were delighted to meet our server, Liza. She was so personable. It seemed like she had known us for years. Whoever is doing the hiring is doing a great job. We ordered queso as an appetizer and knew it would be a while as the kitchen was slammed. Liza kept our drinks, chips, and salsa full, so we were well taken care of. Our orders arrived a short time after the queso and all orders were just as ordered. The food was piping hot and very tasty. We all enjoyed our food and had a great time. Will I return? Definitely! read more

This was my first visit to this Chuy's restaurant, and it was great. We arrived close to opening so the hostesses were diligently seating guests when we arrived. We were seated quickly in a spacious corner booth to accommodate our party. Our server was very attentive, keeping our chip basket and our drink glasses full. Our food was delivered timely and our server checked back with us numerous times to ensure we had everything we needed. I ate a cup of their chicken tortilla soup, which was very filling. It was full of chicken, avocado and chip slices and it allowed me to overindulge as usual on their delicious chips and salsa. I always love eating at Chuy's and this visit was no different. read more

First time here - we live in Oklahoma City. Visiting friends in the area and Midway point from shopping on this Sunday we were looking for food. Previous visits to location in Norman Oklahoma and Oklahoma City and in Texas multiple times. We love Chuy's ! The food is consistently good!!! This visit didn't disappoint! The salsa fresh and spicy. Full flavor! I would love to buy some and take it home or buy it in stores (Hint hint) The queso yummy and really hit the spot. . I left heavier than I came in. Our server did fantastic! The daughters loved the fact that their kids meals came with dessert...orange push pops for the win! This family will return. Hopefully sooner than later. Questions reach out! Respectfully, Bryan Oklahoma City read more

I'm a big fan of Chuy's so much to the point that my husband took me here on a date for my birthday dinner. But this was by far the worst Chuy's experience I've ever had. When we walked in we were not greeted by the hostess. We stood there a few minutes and then I approached the stand to ask for a table for two. She responded with "We're cleaning off tables". Odd thing to say. Once we were seated our server came over with chips and dip, and took our order. This was the only positive during our visit. Our waitress was very nice, and handed the situation I think the best she could have. We waited for 90 mins, and no food ever came. Our server went to check on our order several times and said told us they said it was "almost done". We didn't order anything complicated, but burritos. Eventually she came back to tell us that the kitchen had lost our ticket, and had lied to her. She informed us that they were just now starting to make it, or we were welcome to leave. We decided to cut our losses and just go home. Overall the worst Chuy's experience I've ever had. I won't be revisiting this location. read more

One of the worst restaurant experiences ever!! Bartender seemed annoyed when we sat at the bar near where she was watching her phone. We ordered drinks and they were good. We ordered chicken enchiladas and the tortillas were not cooked at all. I needed a knife to cut them and the chicken was very dry inside. Inedible. I showed the bartender and she said I will show the manager. She then asked if we wanted our checks. I asked her what the manager said and she said something about gas not working in restaurant...??? What? She said she will discount a military discount and took $1.60 off a $90.00 bill. This is insane! The bartender continued to be so freaking rude. Are paying she totally ignored us. I will never ever return to this restaurant. There were very very few people in the restaurant and now I know why. Horrible service and food! read more

I had a great time having dinner with my mom and son. The food was amazing and they bring plenty of chips. The salsa was spicy perfect . Waiter was super nice. As a mom I appreciate that the changing room is in the stall and not out in the open. There was also plenty of space for his stroller. read more

My wife and I have come to an agreement that if we cannot make our minds on where to eat, we then default to Chuy's. Their food is always fabulous , there's one usually located close to where we happen to be, and we know we will have a good meal there. I appreciate that they offer veggie options and in the past, have very much enjoyed their meat options, not mention their creamy jalapeno sauce is out of this world. These days I really enjoy their salsa fresca with my veggie tacos. 10/10 would recommend. read more

This restaurant ( Chuy's New Braunfels) is absolutely filthy and incredibly dirty. The takeout section smells like vomit and trash, and not forgetting the floors which is sticky and black with dirt. Against my better judgment, l placed a takeout order, but after standing there smelling the trash can by the door, I got so sick to the stomach, I had to leave before my order was completed. Just think, if the customer waiting area is this filthy, can you imagine what the kitchen looks like SMH. The Health Department really needs to inspect this property. read more

Our server was Great! Drinks, chips and sauces really good. I had steak burritos and wife had steak tacos. The steak was awful!! So dry and no flavor. I passed this along to the waiter and he said he would let Managment know. We always go to adobe and thought we would try something new. Bad call... read more

Another wonderful experience at Chuy's, this time at the New Braunfels location which opened just a month ago. 5star service from Caden. He was busy but constantly checked on us and made sure our needs were met. Food wise, everything was delicious and piping HOT. The chips were fresh and sooo good with the creamy jalapeno sauce. We of course had to try the eclipse 'Rita and we loved it too. My only regret....I didn't purchase one of their "dark side of the spoon" shirts. They also offer military discount, which is always appreciated. We will be back! read more

At last.... The Tex-mex Gods have heard our cries here in New Braunfels. Us New Braunfelans finally have our own Chuy's. No more driving to San Marcos or Selma! While on Facebook, I noticed Chuy's New Braunfels was having a Friends and Family event through invite only. Free food and alcoholic beverages at a deeply discounted price with proceeds going to charity. I clicked the link, and was fortunate enough to land a spot for their soft opening. The wife and I strolled in at our allotted time. We were greeted at the door by a friendly face, and were given menus. The process was explained, and were walked promptly to our seats. It was a limited menu, but with a lot of their great classics. Christian, our waiter, greeted us promptly and took our drink orders. We were offered queso or guacamole, so we opted for the former. Christian was off to grab our drinks, and we perused the menu. The wife chose the taco salad, and I chose the comida deluxe, but substituted queso for the Tex-mex sauce. We also did not forget the famous creamy jalapeño sauce as well. After a nice visit with the wife, and in good time, our food arrived. It looked and tasted amazing. The food matched up to the Chuy's standard we were accustomed to, and there was zero disappointment. Not one complaint. While we ate, we had about three or four different managers check up on us, and our drink glasses stayed full. Not one complaint at all. The food was great, Christian did a great job, and the environment was great. Although the food was free, we tipped generously. Our experience was outstanding. This was no surprise to us though as the Chuy's experience has always been great in everyone we go to. The soft opening was a success. I'm looking forward to a return visit, and enjoying one of their great margaritas. Highly recommend. Would like to thank the folks at Chuy's for the invite and the free food. We absolutely will return. Highly recommend. Enjoy! read more

Michael provided outstanding service from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. He had a great attitude, checked on us regularly, and made our dining experience even better. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests. We truly appreciated his excellent service and would be happy to have him as our server again. Thank you, Michael! read more

All though the food and service is always good, EVERYTIME we request to sit outside, there's "not a server outside" Me and my family have been in on different days at different times and always request a patio table. Most times when the weather is nice, and the last time we were told "none of the servers want an outside table, so there's none available now". It's comical at this point but wish the patio more available and that they were more accommodating. read more

Well.... I am somewhat at odds on how to rate Chuy's. The food was good and was suitable for my group of 7. Everyone enjoyed their meal and had a good time. We were seated very quickly and the service was good. I would call this quick TexMex food as compared to other places I have eaten. The food had good flavor but it did not wow me. The factor that wowed me was the price.... I thought the bill was going to be $200 for 7 people but it was far less. I will definitely go back for a quick lunch or to take a large group. read more

I've been to other Chuys before so I know what to expect from this chain and it was the sub par stuff chains serve for the most part. But what I can't get out of my mind was the lady cleaning around us most of the time during our meal. She would sweep the nasty floor and THEN sweep the chairs and booth with the same broom . My kids booster seat was covered w clumped old beans too but I carry wipes bc those usually aren't very clean. But to watch this lady go from floor to seat and back multiple times just disgusted me with this place. Super gross read more

Chuy's ambiance reminds me of being on the beach. It is a lot of fun for families and large groups. We tried a variety of foods from their nachos, tacos, enchiladas and ribs. Everything was tasty! They are generous with their chips and salsa. They gave us two bowls for 5 people. The margaritas are also nice and strong! Overall, this is a Mexican restaurant that I'll visit again. read more

I only come here for the creamy jalapeño dip. One of my friends did a copycat version of it, and I fell in love with it. Now that we have this location locally, I can go and purchase it as much as I want. It is a great party favorite. I do plan on eventually dining inside to try other meals they offer, but for now, I will stick with the creamy jalapeño dip! If you've never tried it, I suggest you do! read more

We went here last month with a huge party, and it was great because they were able to accommodate everyone. Overall great customer service. Even the waitress was super nice and helpful.. I love the ambience of the restaurant. The decor is just so funky and cute. It is a Tex-Mex restaurant so personally for me it's not authentic obviously Mexican cuisine but it's still tasty. My husband just fell in love with his Tres leches cake. We asked for slice is the biggest size I've ever seen. They don't lie when they say everything is big in Texas. read more

Recently had chile relleno/enchilada plate. Loved previously. This time chile was smaller & enchilada was just a dry tortilla with some chicken inside. A minuscule amount of white cheese was next to it on plate; not on it. I ate the chicken & left the dry tortilla. there was no sauce. Had to use sauce on table for chips. I love enchiladas because they are ooey gooey...not this one! read more

While I love the food at Chuy's and have always had great service , Amy the manager there tonight deserves a medal ! The wait was ridiculous! We checked in at 5:35 and didn't get our food until 6:58! My dad got a burrito bowl and said it tasted awful. My green enchiladas tasted ok but were lacking sauce. We were told the wait time would be 15 minutes, with only one couple ahead of us. After waiting 30 minutes, we checked the list and were told we were next for a table. We then waited another 15 minutes and asked the host for an update. Just moments before, she had told the family in front of us, who had been there no more than 10 minutes, that their wait would be about 4 minutes. When we asked, she told us 16 minutes. This same situation happened the last time we tried to dine here. Very disappointed as we love Chuys and excited that NB finally had a location. read more

We figured we would give this a try since it's new here in New Braunfels, and we have eaten at them in other cities. This by far, was the worst food from a Chuy's we have had. The worst restaurant experience Ive ever had in my forty years of life. My husband surprised me with a date night out for the first time in 6 months. We had gone to play put put golf and afterwards he went to take me out to eat. We ordered our food and the bartender named Porder said he would not serve me because I was slurring my order?! I did not have anything to drink the entire day? My husband talked to him and clearly statied I was not driving and he did not care about customer service. We then realized he did not give a crap about the $30 tip we planned on giving him. (We came in late and our plan was to give a hefty tip to whoever served us since it was near closing time. I would have rather given it to the female I saw cleaning up tables and doing side work.) We got up to leave and Porter said "thanks for being an adult about it" That was unnecessary and showed that he was a very young adult. He should've asked his manager to address the situation and handle it for him thats the usual policy in restaurants. All we wanted to do was have a good meal with a restaurant we are familiar with and this was our first time ever being in this location. I would like for us to come back but I do not feel that we are welcome with Porter being there. read more

Best service from Jose! He was very friendly and quick! Food was hot and delicious! Restaurant was clean and nice cool!

It was Saturday afternoon and a bit loud but obviously busy. Food came out a bit slower than expected but understandably. Our server, Caden, was very attentive and came back to check on our drinks and chips were full. Kudos for Caden for listening to my special request for a Roasted Chicken Salad with Sliced Avocados and to the kitchen for creating a delicious no dairy, no egg, no gum vinaigrette for the salad! It's sooooo hard to eat out when one has dietary restrictions and I have to figure out. I won't die but I don't want to end up sick. We'll be back again! read more
