Chips and salsa are served..

This is like my 4th time here and each experience is different some good some bad. This day was good. Little to no wait, waiter was attentive, food came out hot and it was cooked very well. Plenty of parking, Bar area, new items on the menu, and the cost was reasonable. The boom boom sauce is a must even with the $2.00 upgrade on some menu items.

One of our "indecisive" go-to places. We always order the same thing. The Chuy Chonga and the Big as yo face burrito. The wife stepped out of the norm once and got enchiladas and they were decent also. With the Boom Boom sauce.. customer service is always good.

Chips, Jalapeño Cilantro dip, salsa 4/5 & Strait Rita 5/5

Visited on a Sunday, it wasn't too busy. There is outside seating available but be sure to check with host/hostess. Upon walking in was greeted and asked number of party, it was only me so quickly sat in the bar area. Upon sitting, bartender came and brought menu & chips, the infamous Chuy's Jalapeño cilantro dip and salsa. Chips break easy & were bit warm, but also have some hard pieces, think I got more small broken pieces than regular chips. I ordered according to the drink menu, The Strait Skinny, basically a skinny Rita. It was refreshing and well balanced & mixed. Tequila didn't overpower the drink. My actual waiter, Keaton, came around a bit after the bartender asked my drink order. He was servicing other tables but he was quick, attentive & friendly. He checked in on me throughout my visit more than thrice, which was very much appreciated. I ordered the fajita combo, served with refried beans, Mexican rice, choice of corn or flour tortillas and side of guacamole, pico de gallo, cheese & sour cream. The fajitas arrived sizzling, both the chicken and beef were juicy and flavorful. The tortillas had an ok flavor, they'd tear easily when made into a taco even though they were a bit thick. The place overall is fun and lively, depending the day and time could be busier than my visit. The were playing good music the whole time I was there. Also, It can get a bit cold, which I'd rather be cold than hot in Texas suggest bringing a sweater in case you get cold easy.

Steak Burrito

Coming back into Houston from IAH and the bf was hungry so we decided to stop at Chuy's since it's been awhile either of us had been to Chuy's. The restaurant had a 20 min wait, so we opted for bar seating instead. The service was a bit on the slow side but that's ok - it was expected at a chain restaurant like this. We ordered the tortilla soup, the panchos with beef/chicken, the steak burrito and a margarita on the rocks! *Panchos with Beef/Chicken Combo - Wow, I have never had a nacho this bad. Like seriously, how do you screw up on nachos right? Well, this one came on a huge chip (like half a crispy taco shell) per "chip".. it was covered in cold cheese, with guac and jalapenos BUT the chicken/beef was flavorless, cold and dry! Ack! It was so gross we barely ate more than 1-2 "chips" and threw away the rest. 1/5 *Steak Burrito - I didn't taste any of this but the bf said it wasn't good. I'm assuming the meat was the same as the one on top of the panchos. The green sauce was super spicy and didn't add to the flavors at all. He seemed disappointed but I won't rate this dish cause I didn't try it myself and can't vouch for it. *Tortilla Soup - I remember really liking the chicken tortilla soup at Chuy's. This one was ok - the broth was fine, though it was lukewarm and I wanted some hot soup after a long flight. The chicken pieces were on the dry side and it was hard to eat. I thought it was ok - nothing to write home about though. 3/5 Overall, this was the worse Chuy's experience I've ever had. I don't remember Chuy's being so bad - but maybe it's just this location? The chips were greasy, where you can see the oil it was drenched in. The meats were dry and bland and tough. Even the margarita wasn't good. We wouldn't come back here - the normal taco bar with the spices/pico/salsa was empty. The restaurant wasn't as clean as it could be - especially the bench seating. I think the Kirby location is better inside Houston - I'm sure hoping it's not Chuy's going downhill cause I remember thinking it wasn't bad and actually liking it. I really wanted a tres leches cause I remember liking that as well, but in the end I decided not to order it here cause of how disappointed I was with everything else.

Chicken Flautas Chicka-Chicka Boom-Boom New Mexican Martini Creamy Jalapeño Tomatillo

Chuy's has become a quick favorite! I love the laidback vibes and pictures of all the cute pups decorating the space. We were greeted and seated quickly. Once we sat down the greatest thing happened and they brought out chips, salsa and the best creamy jalapeño dip I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. We went through several servings and I even got some to go! On to the food and drinks... everything was delicious. The Paloma and Mexican martini were a hit. I tried all of the food in the photos and my favorite were the shrimp tacos and chicken enchiladas. Our server was very attentive and the manager checked in with us and took plates out of our way after our meal. We will definitely be returning!

just got this "ice water"

Took an hour to get our food. Chicken was discolored. My sons fries were cold. My beef quesadillas were very salty. Our drinks had no ice. Bathrooms were disgusting.

Enchiladas

There is something about Chuy''s that's a little different than most Tex-Mex restaurants. Yes, you can get the staples of enchiladas and fajitas with beans and rice. But you're not going to get the multitude of sauces and food combinations in portions that are slightly larger than most of the other places. Combine the food with an impressive choice of margaritas and other cocktails all enjoyed in a unique and festive atmosphere results in a fun and satisfying dining experience.

We have been going to Molly's pretty much weekly for about eight years. We've celebrated multiple…read morebirthday parties, going away parties etc there as it's our good to place. The majority of the staff are incredibly nice but there are definitely a few who are very abrupt/do not have very good customer service unless they know you/you are their friend. Even though we have been going there for so many years, and all the staff members know us not all of them are very polite. Jeff (the owner or manager) is incredible. He's always made our experiences there great. So have Misha, Kelly, Chris and Sibley. They are plenty of pool tables, a foosball table, electric darts upfront, regular darts in the back, shuffleboard and a ping-pong table. Every Tuesday night they have trivia. Every Wednesday night they have bingo. As die the pub food, we love it. We normally get one is their sandwich or nachos. There is a decent variety to choose from and all the food is good. Now that we've moved a wage in Nebraska every time we come back to Texas to visit family we make sure and stop by Molly's at least once or twice while we're in town.

Super friendly staff and it's kinda like Cheers where everyone knows each other. The food is what you would expect from a neighborhood bar and trust me this is definitely a neighborhood bar. I hope to retire and make friends with Mike who's a regular and a was celebrating his birthday. Next time I'll have to introduce myself to all those handsome men at the end of the bar. They also have crawfish on Thursdays, which were amazing!!! Thank you for a great experience. Definitely recommend.

Where board shorts and bootstraps come together to create a laid back and southern experience,…read morewelcome Cowboy Surfer. Ambiance: 5/5 Nestled in the shopping strip center off 59 HWY from the outside it blends until you notice the sign and you see "cocktail lounge" I believe it's a first the front of Kingwood and I got excited and had to stop in. Plenty of parking and casual attire is welcome. But if you want to don your full on spurs, Stetsons and swagger or your surf threads, go right ahead! Although I'm sure shirt and shoes are required and you'll probably get cold since there is no sun or waves inside. Once inside the theme is as the name of the bar is, Cowboys and Surfers. Plenty of seating from booths, tables and bar. And there's also pool table and shuffle board. There was a live band "Pack of Strays" playing and was enjoyable. The lounge has live music on certain days and a Happy Hour everyday from 4-7, so I will have to come back to check that out. Service: 4/5 I sat at the bar and bartender didn't really engage much, though I noticed him engaging with a couple of select groups. No I wasn't on my phone when I walked in, if anything I make it a point to be mindful when entering any place as to note my surroundings and also be able to tell what the vibe is like. Though the service wasn't necessarily anything noteworthy, which attention & engagement would've made the experience/review a 5, the drinks were specially crafted which takes mindfulness to make. Food/Drinks: 4/5 Their menu has multiple options when it comes to drinks and also offer some food selections. I didn't get to try the food, but saw some items that looked interesting and want to try. They also have a list of beers and wine, so again, something for every taste. For this visit I only had two drinks. Beach Break: 4/5 with choice of Gin or Vodka (I went with gin of course) it has a refreshing taste as it is shaken with fresh cucumbers and lime juice, it also has simple syrup. It was more tart than I would think it probably was going for. I did appreciate that they didn't go heavy on the sweetness, but would've liked it with agave as the fresh ingredients would go well with it. For my next visit I will likely ask to substitute with agave as they do have it and it was in my next drink. The Kingwood: 4/5 crafted with my favorite "Hendricks gin" and named after the neighborhood we live in, this cocktail is also refreshing and enjoyed more than the Beach Break. It went down easy, bartender did ask if I was good with the jalapeño that it's muddled with and this time I opted to only have it with muddled cucumber. Again refreshing and not tart so maybe this is the alternative to Beach Break. It is made with topo chico and Tajín rim. Overall it is a laid back environment, live music and the drink options are promising, it's a cocktail shop (candy shop). If you live in the area or find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and come kick up your boots and hang ten.

This place has great drinks and nice wait staff. The food on the other hand needs to be rethought…read more We've ordered food here twice, once was a hummus plate. It was store bought hummus, which would honestly be fine, but instead of peta bread or chips they used bagged tortilla chips, which was odd. Second time I ordered beef quesadillas. The bartender said it would be ground beef which was fine. I was expecting something closer to burger, but what they had essentially done was take two tortillas, put chili and cheese between them and called it a beef quesadilla. Honestly I'd give this place 4 or 5 stars if they didn't include the food, but the food was just odd.
