It's good, but price keeps me from giving this place more stars. Chuy's does some things well, like home made tortillas. But their salsas aren't that impressive. A lot of people crave their white jalapeño dip(whatever it's called) but it's basically ranch dressing with jalapeños. It's good but not great. Wow. I have never encountered such an uncaring, inconsiderate hostess staff. None of the three or four people at the hostess stand could take our "to go" order. We had to wait for the "to go girl." When she didn't appear after nearly 10 minutes, I asked if anyone else could take our order. Nope. Chuys! My family loves this place. Great service, fresh food, and killer music. There's a few things on the menu we don't care for but that's personal opinion. The staff at this location has really gone down. I have eaten in and had carry out many times but lately it's pretty miserable. I stood at the bar for 10 minutes before anyone noticed me last time I was in the restaurant. My carryout order is always wrong now. The food was very good. The service was pitiful!... Pitiful! Went with my son expecting a great experience but the waitress spent more time chatting with her friends, she forgot our appetizer, never asked us for any drink refills we had to ask for napkins. The drinks were more soda which we did ask for that to be corrected. Oh yeah seats had salsa all over them had to ask for them to be cleaned before sitting down. At the end of our meal she put the charm on but much too late by then. I had been there before and enjoyed myself but I think better trained host/hostess & waiters would be beneficial. We have been here twice and both times been disappointed. First time was about a year ago and second time this week. Both times, we couldn't get simple things from the get go. We had to track down napkins or a refill or straws. Food was poor. Bland and cold. This week's visit resulted in burnt chicken served cold and lettuce that was almost Invisible because it had been sitting on ice so long. One of my tacos had literally 2 chunks of chicken on it. That's it. Tortilla chips served were almost all broken. We have been to several other Chuy's in the middle TN area and usually are pretty satisfied with the experience. I eat at this Chuey's about 3-4 times a month and it's always a good meal. The jalapeño dip is really good and I always get the "boom boom" sauce, it's also really good. For the most part, the service is pretty efficient too. read more

Ok to start this restaurant is a must stop if your ever in Bowling Green. Well I should say use to be. Over the last year I have visited this restaurant dozens of times and tonight was my last. That is hard for me to say since I love the food here so much. Over the last year I have patronized this establishment I have seen a marked reduction in service. I've overlooked this because the food was so good. Today I say no more, I'm sick and tired of piss poor service. Bowling Green is extremely lucky to have many options when it comes to excellent restaurants that has both great food and service. If you wondering was server compromised because the restaurant being busy, no this was most certainly not the case, we went early around 3:30 there were only a couple other patrons. My bf and I were visiting bowling green for the weekend. We decided to try this place out. Our waitress came to the table a total of 4 times before we asked for the check. Once for our drink order, order, to deliver the food, and for one refill. After that she was no where to be seen. Once she finally came back we asked for to go containers and she returned with our check. the total was 28.15, I remember because my bf and I had a bet on guessing how much. Anyways, I used my debit card. She came back with my receipt and the restaurant copy to total it out if I gave her a tip and to sign it. Well, considering the lack of service, no tip was given. I left the tip area blank, wrote 28.15 and signed it. The next morning when I checked my bank statement, I was charged 32.15. Obviously the chick decided to help herself to a tip. To my dismay I did not keep my receipt, so this disgusting person is getting away with it. I called the restaurant and the gm said he would get back with me. I haven't heard anything. So I've decided to put out a warning to keep receipts and check bank statements after leaving this place. It may just be 4 dollars; but its completely unethical. FYI, she is a young female, tall, with dark brown hair. Ask for a new waitress or you'll regret ever eating at this place. read more
