I've been back here a couple times to die now and I always enjoy the food. On my latest visit I saw…read morethat they had a special on a three-piece box that came with chicken, nuggets, fries, and a drink. This sounded pretty good, but since I'm not supposed to eat root vegetables, I went to the counter and inquired if I could get a different side. I was informed that they could not change anything about that that particular special but they suggested a three-piece combo which is the same price. The difference being that you don't get the nuggets but get a choice of bread or a tortilla. Needless to say I was a bit disappointed. I did go with the three-piece combo which consisted of three pieces of dark chicken and I got the Campero rice for my side. I also had the dinner roll and a regular drink. Along with this I ordered one of their empanadas because I haven't had one yet. They gave me my number and I went and got my drink and found a place to sit. A very short time later, they came out with my food and I asked if I could get some salt. Apparently there was a complaint from a customer involving salt so they no longer carry salt when you're dining in. They did have hot sauce on the table, so I enjoyed my meal with the green sauce. The chicken as usual was excellent and I do enjoy their rice. The dinner roll was a nice compliment to the meal and I was really impressed with the empanada. I haven't had an empanada that was this packed with goodness in a very long time. I will definitely be back but chances are I will bring my own salt. this is a nice location with a drive-through. On the downside from my point of view is the ordering kiosks that are out front. I won't use those so I just approach the counter and get assistance. The lady that took care of me was really nice and guided me through the ordering process and was also the one who brought me my food when it was ready. if you're looking for a good bone in chicken meal, then this is an excellent place to die. The dining area is well lit and kept clean. I'm always treated well and I always enjoy my meal.

You can ask them to put the jalapenos on the side if you prefer. It comes with two salsas in to go deli mini cups, fresh lime and pickled vegs. The horchata is so delicious, memories from my childhood! They also have lunch specials. I started going to this spot a couple of years ago. The only down side is that it is so popular, at times you may have to wait for your food, but it is worth the wait!! Having grown up in California and used to authentic and amazing Mexican food, I can vouch for this restaurant! You also have to be careful driving in and out of this spot because it's on an incline. That's a surprise when other places are charging for those add ons. The Cheese Fries (cue Primus) were good too. Freshly made which is always a plus. I've had their burgers before but I think the chicken is just a better value... and I do use the term value loosely. My meal (with a soda pop (cue Hanson)) was over $16 before tax and tip and the only upgrade was the cheese on the fries. Yeah, it's pricey, but it's also pretty good. The store is run pretty efficiently too with a person dedicated to delivering food to tables and keeping things neat and tidy.
