I'm from Buffalo, and I've gone in there maybe 4 times including today but never again. There were three people ahead of me that had already ordered. I stood there and stood there and was never even acknowledged. A simple I'll be right with you would have been good but absolutely nothing. Do not come here. We waited over 30 minutes for our food, the staff was incredibly rude to everyone, and the place was as dirty as it can get. All tables had food, crumbs, and sticky parts all over it, ceiling was coming apart, and the air felt stale. I'm assuming the gas station attached to it owns the building because the manager came over and asked to speak to the Church's manager regarding unhappy customers and people leaving to go elsewhere. The Church's manager wasn't there, but the gas station manager left shaking his head and was visibly angry. Perhaps he's trying to vacate Church's from the building? Who knows. As we were waiting for our food, a chunk of the ceiling came off and fell near us. They couldn't even be bothered to clean it up. It was a very...interesting experience eating here. It's such a shame because I was so excited to eat Church's again after moving to a state that doesn't have it. Many times I have been In here to support the business but today is my last the Hispanic lady at the front is rude and she takes no accountability for her actions, I have watched her be this same way to many customers I always ignored it and let her make it but something must be done, it's a $3.99 meal that has the option of tenders or leg& thighs, once realizing that I didn't get tenders I went right back in and told her that I wanted tenders in a nice way might I add, she stated that she couldn't exchange due to me leaving the store with it, I said but I didn't want this, she stated that I should have told her before hand and that's where it got me started so I then stated that it's optional and she should have asked me that's her job she said " oh well" well I said ok jus give me my money back she said "ok" I gave her the food she threw it in the trash and gave me my money, I then stated what sense did that make? If I could give a place a negative star rating, I would. Very disrespectful, horrible customer service, and being cleaning or welcoming wasnt important to anyone working there. 1: coming to the drive thur, they weren't attentive at all. We asked for cornnugges and the women(Fransisco) said bombers. We corrected her and she asked: " well why did you say bombers? We proceeded to go in because, obviously they cant hear. We went in, to a huge mess right in front of the door. We order and waited about 5 minutes for our food. In those 5 minutes, they didnt show any customer service, didnt bother tending to mess, and didnt know we knew Spanish and were round talking about us. I was on a road trip from Houston to Dallas and decided to stop at this location. There were only two people working here and you could tell that they were under so much pressure cos they both had to alternate between working the register and cooking the food in the back. I have never seen a place so understaffed. I was first in line when I got there and had to wait for about 15 mins before I could be attended to because the person at the register had to prepare almost 6 different orders while the other person was cooking in the back. Eventually I place my order and it was evident that the cashier wasn't paying attention because even after I had confirmed he understood what I said, my order came put wrong and I was charged for the wrong item. I honestly couldn't help but be upset at the people who actually own/run this location for having only two people in a whole location doing EVERYTHING. Chances are, if I'm on a road trip again, I might not be stopping at church's chicken. read more

The chicken tasted off. Maybe old grease or something. Then there was no gravy or tea and couldn't use the dining room because it was being "cleaned". Nobody was cleaning it. They just had it blocked off with chairs and tables. When I went through the blockade to sit and wait for my husband to come back from restroom the counter attendant took time to walk out from the back making 2 customers wait just to tell me I couldn't eat in dining room because it was being cleaned. I have always loved Church's Chicken. Most all of the restaurants are pretty good and some so much better than others. This one is not so great. Chicken is small...cooked ahead of time so that it is dried out. Either the fry the okra too long or reheat it in the grease. It was dark and dry. Biscuits that are usually so great are cooked way too long so they are hard and crumbly. You have had it if you go through the drive thru...you get the worst of the food. I think they save it for the drive thru. The last time I went inside. There were two pans of chicken up and I told them I wanted fresh. I was assured the chicken had just been cooked. Nope! Had to remind them about my sides and peppers then the cashier charged my card $60 dollars over the amount. Thank goodness the manager stepped in.
