Y'all are crazy for not writing better reviews on this place. 5 out of 5 across the board. Salsa, service, drinks, food. All of it so so good! Husband and I got enchiladas and street tacos and some margs! Seriously so good. Go try this place out

Quesabirria tacos, chips and Chula's Queso Dip and Chips

Might've been some of the best birria tacos I've had! The chips and queso were also delicious and my boyfriend loved his tacos. You get pretty decent portion sizes as well.

Dinner at Chula's was an all around pleasant experience! We went for happy hour and for $45 we got two beers, two margaritas, 4 tacos, queso dip, and fried ice cream. I'm not sure where else you get that much food for that price anymore AND it was all good. My only note would be that the tacos really need some kind of sauce on them. I got the carnitas and the al pastor and the meat was good but I did put a lot of hot sauce on them. For someone like me, the blended margaritas here are perfect. They tasted sweet but not like cheap margarita mix. Mind you, I don't like a strong margarita so my taste might not line up with yours but I enjoyed them.

Amazing food the quesadilla was phenomenal the hot sauce it came with actually had a kick which surprised me but was a pleasant surprise. The staff were super kind made sure we had drinks and checked in regularly. Was super chill and relaxed just an amazing place to get great food at a great price and just hang out.

Ordered a burrito, quesadilla, chips & salsa, queso, & guacamole to go. We got the food at home and there was no salsa, which was a bummer since it was not included in our meal and was extra. (13.99 for chips, salsa, & queso). Food was just alright this time. Hope we can eat in next time since you pay extra for chips and salsa if not.

Very good prompt service, very clean, very tasty food, super attractive atmosphere. Draw backs can't make reservations and parking is very tight (Fantastic, for it seems to keep away the unwanted extremes). I will return with and without my dining group.

Bean and cheese burrito on a 10 nice tortilla.

Sometimes you just crave a simple bean and cheese burrito...or at least I do! I have heard for a long time how good Chula's is so I thought I would give it a go for the old standby bean and cheese. It did not disappoint. Refried beans we're flavorful and of good consistency...cheese was spot on and the pressed tortilla was tasty. Well done Chula....I will be back!

-Payed $14.25 for a carne asada burrito with extra protein, -I received a vegetarian burrito -No refund :( -burrito boy is a block away I would recommend that instead

A love letter to Chulas: Thank you for getting me through the hardest of times, the best of times, and most importantly, for having the best beans and rice in Eugene. Now that I have graduated college and am moving away from Eugene, I do not know how I will make it through Wednesdays without having a Frozen Guava Margarita. My go to was the carnitas burrito bowl which was always filling and amazing with cantina salsa. Till we meet again!

chips and salsa were great, virgin pina colada was great and so sweet. i regret getting the burrito, not because it was bad but because i really wanted a side of beans and rice, i don't know if that makes sense. but the ambiance was great, very cute decor, friendly staff as well. will be back!

Oh my!!! Sssooooo yummmmmy! Best salsa ever! The food is spectacular, the service and ambience is great too! It is also really close to my Med Spa so I get to eat it often?!

Shredded beef enchiladas

Extremely hot day in Eugene, but we managed to find this restaurant which was close to our motel. Pretty excited to what was to come when I saw the parking lot full. We both ordered enchiladas with shredded beef and mole sauce. The dinners came with the usual rice and beans and both were well prepared. The enchiladas were full of shredded meat with no fat or gristle ! The sauce was some of the best we've ever had, chocolaty and with just the right of spice. Our drinks were also excellent! Horchata, for me and a well made Margarita for her! Service was for the most part efficient even though 3 people brought us different things including the the check. We ate in the bar so not really sure about the ambiance. That said there was music and it wasn't too loud so we were able to have a conversation! I would go back and try some of their other menu offerings.

I was here on business from California. First off the chips and salsa was good. Not hot but good flavor. I ordered the Quesabirra Tacos and it was so good. Would come back for sure.

Food was ok, I ordered street taco's but they didn't come with salsa so they were really dry. Atmosphere was cool and service was great.

I was greeted right away and told to pick any seat. There isn't a traditional bar area, just seating throughout the restaurant. The space itself is really cute and welcoming, although it was very quiet with only one other table occupied during my visit. After looking over the menu and hearing both the online praise and my server's recommendation, I decided on the birria plate. It arrived in a reasonable amount of time. One small detail that stood out was the presentation--the consommé was simply spooned onto the plate, which made everything look a bit messy. The birria itself was tender and flavorful, but it still felt like it was missing something that would have made it memorable. The rice was disappointing, using a frozen-style vegetable medley with lima beans, which, in my opinion, didn't belong in the dish. The beans on the side were fine, but nothing particularly noteworthy. At $28, I expected better quality, a more polished presentation, or a larger portion. While the meal wasn't bad, it didn't live up to the glowing reviews or justify the price, and I left feeling underwhelmed.

My family and I have been here several times over the past few months, and it has always been good,…read morewith the occasional comment of, "Well, I won't order that again." But for the most part very good the enchiladas are fabulous, the tlayuda delicious and many other meals. I genuinely liked this place. But after tonight, I have to say that the complete lack of respect shown toward the food was mind-blowing. There were three things tonight that simply could not be forgiven. 1. The Ceviche Trio The pulpo was chewy as a bouncy ball wrapped in rubber bands--completely inedible. The fish had no salt, no acidity, and was cut so poorly that I made the joke that the cook must have forgotten his knives at home, thrown it against the wall a few times, and said, "Well, that's good enough." The shrimp was effectively a cheap riff on shrimp cocktail, if they had remembered to clean the shrimp before serving it. I've had better ceviche from Taco Bell. Granted, that was from a vagrant selling what I thought was ceviche outside Taco Bell, so take that for what it's worth. Either way, it was loads better. I hope it was fish. 2. The Al Pastor Tacos -- "Served Table-Side" When you read that something is being served table-side, you imagine someone coming out of the kitchen with beautifully marinated, succulent pork piled high on a proper trompo, topped with pineapple, slowly roasting and caramelizing away as you wait for it to be carved right there at your table. Instead, out comes a busser with a trompito, spinning a metal skewer and attempting to give the meat some sort of roasted effect with a blowtorch emblazoned with "Ace Hardware." He then passes me this metal box containing room-temperature, dry pork that tasted like it was made with a seasoning packet. Not to mention there was no practical way to eat it. You basically had to tear the meat from the skewer with your hands because the apparatus was so cumbersome. If the butter knife provided had actually been capable of cutting the meat, it would have fallen directly into my lap. It was as if they took the iconic mid-century dish made famous in Mexico City and decided to serve it à la Easy-Bake Oven. This was an absolute failure of a dish from concept to execution. 3. The Pork Fajitas We have all had and loved fajitas: sizzling meat, onions, and peppers arriving at the table still sizzling away. This was not that. This was stew meat in a puddle of broth. Soggy and overcooked, with no caramelization and barely any flavor. One Positive My brother said his pork belly tacos were nice. And honestly, that's part of what makes tonight so disappointing. We've been here several times. I genuinely liked this place. I understand that not every dish is going to be a winner, and I've certainly had meals here where I thought, "Well, I won't order that again." But tonight wasn't a matter of one disappointing dish. It was three dishes that felt like nobody involved had any respect for what they were supposed to be.
