    I LOVE this place!!! I love Charleston, but I don't like leaving our dogs in what I call my cocktail camper, because it's so hot and humid here compared to where we live. My dogs have stayed in dozens of boarding kennels all over the US, based on how much we travel, and this is hands down MY favorite, and theirs. My older pit bull and younger Plott Hound both love it here. The younger one has room to run, and the older one just hangs out in the sun anyway, so it's perfect for her. The owners are impeccable and have trained their staff so well. I cannot say enough about Chucktown Charley.

    We LOVE Chucktown Charley. Our dog, Theo, has gone there since he was 8 weeks old, first for training, and now as a doggie daycare "student." He loves the staff there like his own family. I feel good dropping him off every morning because I know he's in expert hands, and because I know he'll have the time of his life, as he does every day he's there. I can't recommend them highly enough.

    I booked Happy Wags for my first puppy wash by a professional. I really went more towards them,…read morebecause I wanted to be near for my new puppy and it's super convenient. The owner was very open and talked me through things that came up during the service. She was very patient. Arrival: I expected them to provide lots of information on my puppy and great me with open arms. I was greeted with a nice washer and questions about the services I booked. More of letting me know that I should have maybe went another route for a puppy as opposed to the service I booked. Seemed to be some confusion with my service between the owner and the booker which I could see. It was really confusing on what's was included and was told something different from booking. The groomer discovered during my service that my puppy had some mild matting around his feet so he needed to be cut down. She explained she didn't want to irritate him by brushing to much in his feet which I appreciated. So scary for me, but they offered me a discount on it which I appreciated it! The clippers also died and I had to wait with my puppy for more to brought. That's ok it's a new business. I support that! I am going to list the positives and cons of my experience below. Overall, I support the business. I was happy and they were very open to questions and took time with my dog. I tried to cut down some of my dogs face prior, so they fixed that for me lol. Will I try them again? I may. I am a new puppy owner. I did not like how much hair was cut off, but I trust the groomer when she said it's needed. Would love to keep more hair next time. They were the first and only company I reached out to as a new dog owner. I plan to try other places and make a great decision! Thank you Happy Wags! Pros: -Mobile service -convenient -affordable -easy to book and get in -quick service Cons: -Booking needs to know more details for the customer. Seems like there was some confusion on the service I got on their end. I didn't mind discussing it, but it was very confusing to a new customer. Maybe confirm a new or puppy appointment to address any grooming history prior to booking. -not as inviting to puppy care and first time customers (explanation: most dog lovers will play and calm your puppy upon meeting them). They will provide a more what to expect and introduction. I know my dog name was in the schedule appointment, but no one really asked me his name . I would have loved to get an overview on what's going to happen and what to expect from my puppy at the beginning of the service.

    We had a really disappointing experience here. We booked our golden's grooming appointment over a…read moremonth in advance, only to arrive and be told they had double booked and couldn't accommodate us. There was no apology, no offer to come back the next day or receive a small discount. Just bad business! What made matters worse was how rude the owner was to my boyfriend when he tried to address the situation. It left a very negative impression and we won't be returning. A neighbor also mentioned their dog received a rushed and botched grooming here, which makes us even more uneasy about the quality of service. An unprofessional and poorly managed business. We expected much better!
