I've eaten at least 100 cheesesteaks and another 100 pizzas from Angelo's, and I genuinely cannot remember ever getting a poorly made item. That kind of consistency is rare, especially in a city where everyone has an opinion about who makes the best cheesesteak. The bread is phenomenal, the meat is incredibly flavorful, and the whole sandwich comes together exactly how you want it: juicy, delicious, and worth every bite. It doesn't matter if you're picking it up fresh on Ninth Street or ordering delivery through one of the apps. The quality holds up, and that's what separates a great restaurant from a great restaurant on its best day. And the pizza? Some of the best in the city. Period. Philadelphia has no shortage of places making good cheesesteaks and pizza, and I'm always happy to try somewhere new. But when I want the absolute best, Angelo's is my gold standard.
