7oz sirloin steak dinner medium rare.
    Lilian C.

First time at this location. I ordered top sirloin steak with fries Had a Guinness draft to start, it was bitter and not cold enough. The same everywhere though recently for Guinness, probably not a fault of the restaurant. For the steak though, it's fresh but very tough meat, had to chew a lot, felt like I was eating a well done steak but I ordered medium rare. The colour of the meat was right so I didn't ask to have a other one, figured it's the quality of the cut that's not up to par. Not many people in the restaurant so it was quiet enough for us to talk without having to raise our voice. The corn really had no flavour, maybe a hint of butter on the very bottom, other locations were more generous on the butter. I had to add salt to the corn. I don't think I would come to this location again.

Stopped in to this Chuck's Roadhouse location for dinner. The wait time for a table was very reasonable. The inside of the restaurant was clearly very well kept and the staff were going above and beyond to make sure the guests had a good, safe and hygienic experience. I ordered: Top Sirloin & Lobster Tail - $20 7oz steak with a thick juicy lobster lobster tail. I asked for the steak cooked medium, and it was done perfectly. I substituted the fried for a side Caesar salad, it was creamy and delicious. I also ordered a side gravy for the steak which I highly recommend doing. Everything was delicious! My bf ordered: Ribs & Wings - $14.99 He substituted the fries for mashed potatoes, and got a side gravy as well. It was a lot of food, definitely worth the price. Our waitress was great. I can't remember her name, however she was the only waitress working all tables that night, and even though restaurant capacity is much less, she was still friendly and efficient while handling all the tables by herself. I would definitely recommend this location of Chuck's Roadhouse, and I will be returning.

    13oz T-Bone steak

I had come here intending to order wings and a salad but the steak menu is so darn tempting, even though my last steak was overcooked. Where else can I get a 9oz Ribeye, 10oz Top Sirloin, or 13oz T-Bone for only $14.99 (with fries and corn on the cob)? I gave in and ordered the 13oz T-Bone medium-rare and added on the all-you-can-eat Garden Salad for only $4.00. What a deal! I also ordered a 12oz glass of beer for $3.00. Yesss! The salad arrived first, in a large wooden bowl. It was a very generous serving. There's no way I could have seconds. Great value. The steak arrived before I was finished with the salad. It was definetly thicker than the ribeye I had last time. It was also seasoned better and they nailed the temperature on it, medium-rare. Mmm, this was a good steak. This was definitely a better experience than my last, and worthy of a review update. The prices are cheap! Or are they? They have this thing called an Honest to Goodness Fee where they automatically add 3% to your overall bill. Huh? What? Why? Why not just add the 3% to the menu prices? This strategy artificially makes the menu prices seem lower. In the overall scheme of things, 3% may not seem like a lot but the concept is suspect. That 14.99 steak now becomes 15.44 and I would probably still buy it at that price. Would you? If the government proposed a 3% increase in taxes, we'd be screaming and rioting. This fee is pretty much the same thing. That's my opinion. Taxes and gratuities are still extra. Hmmm...

Average food but I really like the 1/2 price off appetizers after 9pm deal. It's such a good deal and I like how they open late as well. Food is mediocre but for $6-8 a dish it's acceptable. Service is also okay.

This location is pretty good, the food has that traditional pub/bar taste. They price their food at a cheap rate considering what they are. They have all you can eat salads for $10, half off appetizers after 9pm, & even deals on pints of beers considering the sporting events trending. Their staff are relatively friendly depending on who you get. When they are busy, expect to be neglected or feel the need to repeat your order to them so you can actually get it.

7oz Top Sirloin with Lobster Tail ($20)
    Tracy T.

The food took WAY too long to be served on a Thursday night (~45minutes) but this is just about the best "value" steak meal you can get anywhere. For only $20, you're looking at a 7oz top sirloin and lobster tail combo (with corn on a cob and fries) and for $15, you can get yourself a 9oz ribeye, 10oz top sirloin, or 13oz T-bone combo! Given the price, set realistic expectations of what the meal is going to be like - the quality is acceptable but nothing more. Take it as it is and come by if you're looking for a place to grab cheap beer and steak.

Note: this particular location had only been open a week. My wife suggested this place and a way to support a new business in the area. The place was packed and the waiting area was too small to contain all of the eager customers. We, thankfully, arrived just ahead of the rush. We were promptly seated and had time to browse the menu and were ready when our server took our drink order. I had the roast beef sandwich with fries and a French Onion soup to start. My wife had their burger with fries. Dessert was their coconut cream pie. The soup arrived quickly but was stone cold. The cheese hadn't even melted. It took me 5 mins to flag our server to tell her the problem. I waited another 10 mins to get my soup (hot) just ahead of my main. The server apologised and said the kitchen was still ironing out the bugs. Ok. I guess. The rest of the meal was decent. However, swell of waiting customers was getting too much. Between the noise and two brats who just couldn't stay still and her running around. It was getting intolerable. At one point the father grabbed his youngest son and said, "Stop F@&)king Around!!" Then again it was a Thursday night and after 7:00 pm. There were other places near by that were more kid friendly. Suggestion: avoid being seated anywhere near the front door. The dessert was very good. The menu for the desserts are all under $5.00 and priced just right for a shared end to the meal. The roast beef sandwich and burger were very good and we will be back to try more of the menu without the romper room side show. PS We went there again this week. Suggestion #1: if you order the nachos. Please ask to have the sour cream, guacamole and salsa on the side. If not it will be plopped on top. Suggestion #2: Do not order the Buffalo Chicken topping. A waste of money Suggestion #3: Unless you like cold custard avoid Chuck dessert. The hot apple or banana cream pie are the better options.

Waited 25 minutes... okay, it's new. Order drinks...wait. Drink comes with lipstick print... nasty. Bill comes... tea not deducted. Don't go here until they learn how to run a restaurant.

Takeout steak was not bad....but not great. Much better when you dine at restaurant but considering covid, it was not bad.

Great place! Tasty food and good service! Very reasonably priced! Love it! My favorite is the roast beef dinner. It's a winner. Lots of flavor and generous portions! You can get unlimited salad added to your main for about $4 or $5 which is a great deal.

But later that night I was throwing up well into the morning. I only eat possibly 3-4 small bites, most of the dish was left back. I still tipped and didn't complain as I just wanted the kids to have a nice night without arguing with whoever. As I write this I am reminded of the disgusting taste. NEVER again for that dish! I was in the eastern end of Scarborough, close to Pickering. I first thought of having breakfast for lunch. I would only have 45 minutes to enjoy my food at the nearest breakfast joint. I felt like a steak. I did a search for Chuck's Roadhouse and this one in Pickering was close by. I drove over there, which took roughly nine minutes. It's located in a small plaza. I managed to find a parking spot fairly close to the entrance. I backed my car into the spot and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a friendly woman. She asked me whether I wanted to sit at the bar or the dining area. I went with the latter. I got a menu. I visit Chuck's regularly that I have my usual order. I got the following items: - Diet Coke - Sirloin and lobster tail meal with mashed potatoes and gravy I upgraded my fries. I got mashed potatoes with gravy instead. I asked for a medium doneness for my steak. I placed my order with Domnica, who was extremely attentive and friendly. I needed to use the washroom. I headed over there, dodging two male servers who were kind to get out of the way. My bladder needed attention after three hours of hydration. The women's washroom was clean. There were three stalls. The one that I used was clean. The lock didn't lock properly, but it was good enough to not let anyone in. I got back to my booth and my Diet Coke was on the table. It was cold, fizzy, and delicious. I ended up having a couple of refills during my time here. It was great that I had a huge screen with four different sports happening. I saw the Colorado Avalanche crush the Detroit Red Wings. The Winnipeg Jets pre-game show was on after a women's tennis match. I watched women's curling from Mississauga. There was Formula 1 racing that I had to ignore because any sport on an ice surface interests me a lot more these days. My server put bottles of Chuck's steak sauce and Heinz ketchup on my table. I didn't use any of them, but was glad that I had options. It didn't take long for my meal to arrive. It looked so good. I was so hungry that I went into devour mode. My steak was excellent. It was seasoned nicely and cooked as I liked it to be. So good! The lobster tail was succulent. The clarified butter was excellent with the lobster tail morsels. Frankly, I ended up dunking everything into the butter. My mashed potatoes were so comforting. I usually pour the gravy over the mashed potatoes. I did the reverse. It was enjoyable dunking mashed potatoes into the flavourful gravy. I also dunked sirloin cubs into the gravy. Yum! The corn was yummy. I'm so glad that it's no longer corn on the cob. It's so much easier shovelling kernels of yumminess into my mouth. My server asked if I wanted anything else. I was stuffed. I got the bill. I paid with a credit card. I held my phone to the payment machine after specifying a tip. Done! I stayed a bit longer to finish my Diet Coke while watching the Jets pre-game show. I then used the washroom before heading out. The scary part was walking into the washroom with three loud women speaking Vietnamese to one another. The oldest woman did not lock her stall properly, so I saw more than I had wanted. What I don't get is that these two woman walked the third woman over to the washroom. They stood in front of the sink. Shouldn't they have noticed that the door was wide open? They were loud talking to one another after this incident. Personally, I would have been mortified if someone had seen me partially naked in a public washroom. I came out of the stall to wash my hands. The two women were staring at me. I stared right back with my you-didn't-help-your-friend-and-I-need-therapy-now stare. They stopped looking at me. So weird. Other than seeing a half-naked woman, I had a great lunch here. (53)
