It has been a long time since this location was my fun place to go. My family has spent many hours at this location during our younger years. However we have not been to this Chuck E. Cheese in about 8-10 years. We showed up on a Sunday at 4pm and it was very busy. As we entered I noticed many new games and updated layout. We ordered some salad bar plates and some other appetizers. and enjoyed some pizza at the birthday party. The food tasted better than I remember except the salad bar tasted the same as many years ago. We then went to play and I was very disappointed in the state of the games. Many were out of order (see pictures), some seemingly still taking credits off cards while not functioning properly. I then took my son to the climbing area that Chuck E Cheese was always known for but when we tried to enter we were told it was an extra charge. Instead of complaining we returned to the party and were prompted to sing for our celebrant. However when Chuck (we are cool like that) came out he was very unenthusiastic and almost seemed bored. The entire room sang happy birthday while Chuck seemed ready for a nap. All in all we had an ok time but it is sad to see what this place has become. Broken games, extra charges and a bored Chuck. Whoa !!!! It's changed sooo much ! I hadn't been here in years. Prices are def up! I didn't eat any food as we had just had Toppers! I do remember the pizza being ok . The endless salad is a PLUS! A bit loud as so many kids are having fun. Loved it! My niece had a blast! So glad we stopped by. I purchased the pass for the jump zone for $15. My niece was given socks which have to be worn. You cannot reuse , so everytime you visit you must pay $15. Normally have an amazing experience but today the employee Kiera gave me such a hard time and almost flat out refused to put the stamp 2 inches higher on my child's arm, claiming policy. I find this funny because no other Chuck E. Cheese I've frequented has EVER had an issue with putting the stamp higher. I even brought up the fact I scrub my child's arms up to the elbows and she still pushed back. read more

Where do all kids want to go for their birthday at some point in time? Chuck E Cheese. I can only review it as my experience a few times coming as a guest for birthdays. With that said I haven't purchased items here as it was always covered by the birthday girl/boys parents and family. While I can't speak to the price I can speak to the overall experience. This location in Ventura is a classic, it's been here as long as I can remember. It's nice for the kids to have a more old school nostalgic place to come. I will say though, as it should be, the place is revamped and remodeled. That's likely a plus for many but I do miss some of the nostalgia before they changed it. My biggest bummer is that they don't have the animatronic figures/characters anymore. Sorry but I felt that made the place (plus Chuck e of course). Not having the stage anymore opened up the space to allow for more tables, so I get it. But honestly the kids always seemed to like the dancing and moving characters and I'll miss those memories. However, I do understand with the times it's probably best to keep reinventing themselves and swapping out old ideas & designs. Service seemed really good here. As a guest I felt that the food came out pretty good in pace given how many kids and tables they feed. The staff seemed to really care about their jobs and took it seriously to provide the kids with a nice experience. I don't know how these people get hyped up everyday to come work with kids in such a loud and packed setting but kudos to them for staying in character and being positive. I was impressed. Chuck E also made a lot of appearances which seemed pretty nice of the kids. The food is decent for a child's amusement type place. Sorry but I've always liked the pizza here. Haha. I remember once a friend and I came once just to get the pizza and bounce. Again, I think it's that nostalgic taste we came to love and while it isn't a super amazing pizza, it always seems to hit and slaps at the end of the day. I do like it and will always have to have a slice. There were also some appetizer sampler plates ordered. I stayed away from the fries and garlic bread but the wings were crispy and tasty. Definitely good and better than I expected. J didn't venture out into the kids space and arcade but the kids all seemed to be having a blast and the area did seem cleaner and well maintained than I would have expected. It's definitely a great spot to come with your kids or to celebrate a child's birthday. I have vague memories of Chuck E. Cheese from my own childhood, but those are getting replaced now that I have small kids who go to birthday parties with the oversized pizza rat. We went to our second one this year for our nephew Christian J.'s fourth birthday. This Chuck E. Cheese is in a large, cheerful strip mall in Ventura. Easy parking, near the freeway. Our whole family got our hands stamped with UV invisible ink on our way in, apparently an anti-kidnapping measure--you can only leave with a child if you have the same number on your hands. I've never personally wanted to take a strange child home after seeing him run wild in a Chuck E. Cheese, but I guess the protection is reassuring. We went home with the two who belonged to us. We were late to Christian's party, but arrived just in time for pizza and birthday festivities. The pizza here is genuinely not bad. I had a couple slices with sausage and veggies, and I think my kids ate a few bites of cheese when they weren't just trying to run away and play. The creepy animatronic band is no more, but Chuck E. Cheese is as much a party factory as ever. There were, on this Saturday afternoon, several parties going at once, each occupying a table or two in the party zone. A big screen showed a countdown to Chuck E. Cheese's personal appearance, then came the giant pizza rat himself, to celebrate all the birthday children. Everyone sang, and there was some music and picture taking. Pretty efficient, and no one was mad when it was over and the kids could go back to their games. My boys got an unlimited play card, which activated the various games and rides, most of them too complicated for a four-year-old and a two-year-old. My younger boy just wanted to go on the tiny merry-go-round and a couple of the gently shaking vehicle-shaped kiddie rides, one of which was out of order. He also ventured into the trampoline area for a minute before getting bored or scared and coming back out. I'm not even sure what my older son was doing, but he was very entertained. I alway appreciate a safe party venue where I can do my daily crossword while my kids amuse themselves. Would I otherwise volunteer to spend time at a Chuck E. Cheese? No, but that's because I'm not the kind of adult who wants to snatch other people's children. I won't be mad if I never come here again, but I suppose my kids would be thrilled to attend another arcade pizza party. read more

First thing I want to say is that Juan is amazing! He always greets us with a big smile and my kids remember him every time we come here, because of how friendly he is to them. I truly appreciate that there's someone like him working there. This place is mainly for kids and I love that he makes them feel special and welcomed! I had not visited this location in a couple of months and I was very happy surprised to see all the new games and renovations they've done! Everything looks and smells so clean. They have new games! My kids were so excited to play the new games. They also have a "trampoline zone" it's $10 per kid for the day. There's not many things for kids to do here in Ventura, so appreciate a place that is specifically for them! If you haven't been here in a while you get a card and you either load it with points or time. We usually do points so we don't have to worry about running out of time. You also don't get tickets anymore, the tickets are added into the card. Once you are done playing you take your card to redeem your "tickets" that were added to car and get a prize! I recently had my son's 3rd birthday party here. It was an AMAZING experience! The staff is wonderful and took the time to explain to me how things work, where to get what, who goes where, and making sure I got the best deal possible. I believe the person who I first spoke with was maybe Erica but I'm not sure if that was her name. She called to go over the bday party details with me, and when the day of the party came around, she helped me at the front and she is so kind and amazing. I love our local Ventura Chuck E. Cheese!! It was recently remodeled and it looks amazing. It is clean and the games were upgraded, while they kept some of the classics. They also have a new membership program that is ingenious!! You get 100 points a visit for $12 a month. What a bargain!! We took our new membership for a spin this Friday and the 4 of us played for about 1 1/2 hours. It is a great deal! Their pepperoni pizzas are great! Unfortunately not only were we asked to move from our table mid meal but we were declined food without given a notice that the kitchen was closing. Upon asking around 8:00pm why we were declined I was told it was because the kitchen staff went on lunch and because the numbers of this location were not where they needed to be for the kitchen to be running which me as a customer would not know. All of this wouldve been a great heads up at our arrival around 7:15ish. There was no visible signage or even an announcement like previously stated. There was announcement over the intercom about the prize counter being shut down in 30 mins. On top of the staff sitting and eating when we arrived, tables being left dirty, the lack of communication and not a visible manger on site. 03/16/25 worse Chuck E. Cheese experience, registers and card readers all down, no music for kids. Place is super crowded can't even walk. Lots of play machines were down. More than a dozen employees yet none can figure anything out. They all go to the managers and the managers are already stressed dealing with all other problems. Fight broke loose inside and all employees were just laughing one manager jumped in to stop the fighting but grabbed the person which don't think was ok instead of saying to take it else where they let it escalate to where it got physical. As far as only giving it one star the food was the only good thing it Looks like they're the only ones who care a little about there job. But it's time for changes and they are nice changes a little trampoline area for smaller kids does have a height limit which was nice. I would really love to put a 0 stars. The food was garbage, especially their staff service. They literally don't clean their floors. They just leave it with crumbs. I still don't understand why they leave their floors so dirty and disgusting. The bathrooms just smell like if it hasn't been cleaned in a while and they leave their toilets really bad and it stinks! Pizza, really bad. The Service was garbage because of a really filthy and rude staff member. Neither of the arcade games work and they blame it on US for doing it! I can't believe how their staff members are so irresponsible. I won tickets from an arcade and they change their ticket prices! They said, "If you want it, go to more games." This place is a joke! I paid $15 for a pair of chuck E. cheese socks because you need them in order to jump in their trampoline. I saved the socks for next time and when we went back my daughter had her socks on and the lady standing at the trampoline door she asked if we bought the socks today. I told her we bought them from our last visit. She tells us that my daughter could not jump in the trampoline because we have to buy another pair of socks!Unbelievable!!! It's bad enough everything is expensive here and now they want you to buy a new pair of socks every time you visit. I talk to the manager and he said the socks are for free and what we are paying for is to use their trampoline as if that's going to make it any better. An update Venue with higher prices to reflect. If you're going here, you already know what to expect. The new points/time system for games is pricey and now they have a jumping area for kids under 52" prices I believe are $15 with points/time purchased or $25 individually. Well they offer 2 hours of sensory play on Sunday mornings, that's great and all but most people come here for Birthday parties, I was very disappointed when they asked my child on the spectrum to be removed from the jump zone, because he was jumping on his knees...my child is 4 yrs old,non verbal and he Loves to jump, removing him only made things worst. I explained to the worker he's on the spectrum but all I got back was "my manager said he has to come out" I will be jumping at Sky Zone instead I've never had issues there, and have been understanding of my special kid. We came during the week at 11 AM (yay spring break) every single machine worked, and the place was nice and clean. There were staff walking around making sure everything was going smoothly. They have great deals on all you can play. If you buy one hour or longer they give you an extra 30 mins. We spent around $30 for 90 mins of play. Plus they have an app you can get rewards like free tickets or extra mins of play. My daughter had a blast and the all you can play is a great deal since most arcades cost $1-$2 per play usually my daughter spends abour $20 in 20 mins! We did not get any food but it looks like the food is a lot better than it was when I was young! Will try the pizza next time read more

Just recently visited the newly remodeled Chuck E Cheese restaurant. More room, the newly added bouncy house was a great addition. Seems bigger and brighter. The staff is amazing, they are helpful and do a nice job of keeping the place clean. I personally want to Thank Ericka, she helped me out and was nice enough to replace one on my kids cards. Yes they updated a little bit, but the games don't work, it's a waste of your money... it's Christmas Eve and the 805 beer on tap is stale, and they won't exchange it. Also, if you want to do the trampoline, you have to buy a pair of socks for each which is $10 each and when you come back you have to buy a pair of socks for each child for $10 again. so you end up with a ton of Chuck E. Went in last Friday. Ordered some food that never came, spoke with the manager Jesus and he cancelled the order and assured me the money would be put back into my account. The money was never refunded back to my account, he only voided the order but didn't refund. I ended up had to make a claim with my bank. Not only that when trying to call and speak to someone at chucke cheese regarding this, there is no way of getting a hold of anyone from the actual store or any type of customer service.
