Wtf is wrong with this place. They take my money for garbage tickets but when the kids try to get a "ring" the lady says she can't "sell" those because they are for display only. There's over 100 of these $.1cent pieces of garbage. Take them out the kids display window. Why would you show kids a toy you have hundreds of but not be able to get them. Came for my grand daughter's birthday party last Sunday. Every employee (except one young lady) I saw or spoke to DID NOT look happy, didn't smile, seemed bothered to be working. That sets the tone for this place. It usually comes from the manager or persons in charge. If they aren't happy, the workers aren't either which rubs onto us Yelpers leaving poor reviews. It's suppose to be a fun happy! Upon entering I waited at the front gate for ten minutes before I let myself and a few others in. Customers deserve better welcoming than that. I did make eye contact with the girls at the registers but they just quickly turned away. Then I thought they must be short staffed today. The kids enjoyed playing games. Just note the points for the prizes are ridiculously high. Come on. This place is for kids to have fun. Lower the points system. The items to choose from are cheap trinkets. Let the kids leave with something. The pizza was served nice and hot with crispy crust. It was like those thin frozen pizzas you buy in the markets frozen section but with more cheese. I enjoyed it and so did the kids. The videos shown to the kids were TERRIBLE!! The speakers were distorted and the volume turned down We could not hear what was being said. When the Main entertainment Mouse/Rat star arrived, he slowly walked into the place where the kids were told to stand. Wasn't an energetic Rat! Lol. The place is overpriced and overrated. The jungle gym play area is not free. You have to pay for special socks (that is what the attendant said) to enter. The socks were $10 for each kid. Chucky Cheese has been a staple of the American household with children for decades. It a pale mirror of its former self. If you are looking to entertain children under 5 they have a limited number of games or activities. And by activities, the only option is a trampoline for small kids. Half of the games are geared toward teens or young adults. A few we either not in operation or did not work as they should. My recollection of the cuisine was a pretty low bar in the past but surprisingly food was improved. Service was okay. Parking was adequate. Cost not ideal but it is what it is. read more

Safety zero stars! Since I was young I always remember CEC being the safest place to take your kids. Last night I took my neice and my husbands never been so he just walks in with our neice in his arms. No one is at the check in stand. I stopped him and said no we have to get a stamp and the lady at the register said oh no it's ok. We waited in line and I asked do you not give stamps anymore? Every time I come to this place it seems to get worse every time. Waited in line for about 10 minutes too purchase a ticket card the prices are ridiculous!!! not to mention the new jumping area $12 for a pair of socks just for the kids to play. My little brother was waiting at the prize/ticket area I seen him standing there for about 15 minutes until I got up and asked the cashier to get some help! Her response was " I am the only one working up here" rolling her eyes not to mention there when there's about 8 other employees walking back and forth from the kitchen area ignoring customers. So I went here to support a friend who's second grader was having a bday. This place is SUPER SMALL compared to the other Chuck E. Cheese's locations here in Norcal. The bathrooms looked like they had not been clean in five hours or so (tampons etc. hanging out everywhere, toilet paper on the floor, no one had cleaned out the paper towels/ emptied the trash). Yes this place is for small children, which is why the clean factor is so crucial. The pizza wasn't half bad-- they ran out of ice and it took forever for someone to refill the soda dispenser (ice and also the lemonade)... their ice tea tasted like it had been chilling there since the Ice Age. What grossed me out the most was when looking at the prizes with students, my girlfriends and I saw where they store their salad: to the right of the employee entrance, on the floor NOT REFRIGERATED and underneath some balloons below a helium tank... talk about filthy!! Just as my friends gave me the "thank god we didn't get salad face" someone came out from the kitchen and refilled the pasta-- which looked limp and it was very apparent it had been sitting out in excess water for a minute.... that was enough to kill our appetites. Anyways- the bday party was fun... but this place is a dump. If a health inspector came through they would be mortified. read more

Came here for a kiddie birthday party. Jonathan was our coordinator. He was highly energetic, funny and very efficient. We had pizzas, veggie platter and wings. There were some games that were not working but overall when an attendant was needed they came pretty fast. They gave us some extra coins for the inconvenience. Location is small, people not celebrating a reserved birthday party was in line to get in. Took my Godson out to celebrate his potty training. Called it his "poop party." My friend lives in Soledad and we live in the San Mateo area. This was the best Chuck-E-Cheese so my friend didn't have to drive out to San Jose. I grew up going to the, I have to say the best CEC in San Jose. It's 2 stories tall. I think there isn't anything compared to that location? The Salinas spot is for sure a lot smaller, but the city isn't that big. You have to think about what is your need? We were able to find a table. Ordered the 2 pizza with 4 sodas, upgraded 10 tokens. Spent like $80? We fed 4 adults, and 3 kids. The good thing is the games required only 1 token. Some of the games work and other's didn't. My biggest issue was that darn mechanical horse the kids like to ride. There is always a line for that sucker. But I found that this little blond girl was hogging the crap out of it, while these sad little kids kept waiting. There needs to be some adult management from the parents on that end. Ok yeah, we all know what to expect with a Chuck E Cheese. Cheap games that barely work, some totally broken, "ok" pizza, and prices that are probably a little more than you want to spend. I just want to take a moment to commend the staff though. Every customer service employee I come in contact with these days usually has zero interest in talking to me, much less going out of their way to help me. In one evening here one staff member spent like 10 full minutes talking to my kids about dinosaurs, the guy on cleaning duty was sanitizing surfaces like he was in a race, and replaced my drink cup my kid lost without me even asking, and for the prizes at the end they hooked my kids up with something they really wanted even though we didn't have enough "tokens." My toddlers had a great time thanks to some quality people and we will return! read more

This place has actually been better than before. They vamped up the whole place and looks so muchh better and more appealing, rather than looking so ratchet and ghetto. My kid actually enjoyed it as there were new arcade games. Food it still the same and wht not. The only thing that grosses me out, is how stinky the bathroom is. The upkeep is so low given the volume of people that actually uses it on a daily basis. Also, as you walk down the hallway to the bathroom, it always smells like someone had thrown up on the carpet. This place has become a DUMP! Half the machines take a token (now a debit against a pre-paid card, and don't work. The others don't pay out any tickets! When you try to get the machines fixed there is no maintenence person on duty! The employees are RUDE!!! A chubby girl on a skateboard, arriving to work didn't even hold the door for me and my son after cutting in front of us. When I asked for help with machines that didn't work, a manager had to help because maintenence wasn't available. This manager then proceeded to scold us because we didn't notice a very small "out of order" sign that was upside down on one of the machines my son had already wasted credits on. In short, don't bring your kids here. It's a ripoff and a big disappointment to your children. read more

It was a summer Monday afternoon when i brought my kids and about an estimated 50 people inside. Tables were clean, young lady in the front checked hand stamps, bathroom was clean, soda machines were clean, table was NOT sticky and majority, at sight, was clean. Maintenance worker for the games constantly walked around making sure games worked okay and giving away tickets. It was air conditioned and had WiFi. I ain't complaining. Had my daughter's birthday party here on a Sunday, it was not very packed at 1:30,but by 3was getting very packed. The new packages are okay, you get a super person cape and a trip to the ticket blaster. The party host we had was not very kid friendly. No real emotion and was beginning to wonder why she had a job that dealt with so many kids. Billy is the manager and did a great job. He was very good at getting the kids involved when they were singing the birthday song. Just as a FYI pizza slices are small, so be prepared to feed the kids shortly after party. Worst experience at a Chuck E. Cheese's ever. First off, when we walked in the smell was so rancid I wanted to leave but my kids insisted on playing so I decided to tough it out and eventually managed to ignore it. Then when my oldest son was playing the Alley Roll game he hit the biggest numbers over three times but absolutely no tickets were dispensed. I went to speak with an employee about it and they said they would send someone over but they never did. This happened with about 90% of the games my kids played with but eventually they did send someone over but he supplied us with a meager 30 tickets per child (60 tickets total). When the kids finally went to choose prizes they didn't have a prize in the color that my toddler requested because the prizes they have shown are 'just for display'. We waited almost 20minutes at the prize counter before anyone helped us. When I went to use the restroom it smelled even worse than the play area and the only open stall had a piece of toilet paper with feces on it on top of the toilet paper dispenser--I left without using the restroom. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! Luckily, we live in Sacramento so avoiding this place won't be an issue and our Chuck E. Cheese's is a million times better. read more

I normally go to the Dublin or Concord locations. We were coming home from a long car trip and saw this location and decided it was a good place to let my daughter run around before going in the car again. I used a coupon, which I do all the time at the other two locations and I was given three child sized drink cups. I told the guy I normally get regular sized cups and was told these were the cups with the coupons. Again I said I've been coming to Chuck E Cheese for two years now with my daughter and I always got normal sized cups. He just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. The benches all have lost there springs. As I sat down my neck was at the table line. I also didn't like that the lady at the salad bar was following me and if I didn't put the spoon back where she wanted it she would grab it set it down somewhere else. Let's see; I came in on a Sunday at 4pm. Here's my experience; 1/3 of the games were down, 1/3 no longer had tickets dispensing and the other 1/3 that were working had kids hogging the machine. Even the kiddie rides were down and limited to a 1/3 of the actual available ones. My 1 year was limited to about 3 rides that we kept alternating so he wouldn't get bored. Super disappointed in this location in regards to the way things are ran. The tv kept saying Chuck e' was on his way out every 30 mins only to have no one show up through the door. Where do I begin to explain the nightmare that was my nieces 7th B-day party....this was set up weeks in advance to have the party table, game cards, and pizza's, specifically 1 gluten free pizza for....you guessed it, the person with a gluten allergy. No confirmation email was sent, nor any kind of an attempt at a phone call was made by the store. Which prompted the mom to call what she thought was the store, but was instead just a generic call center in Iowa. And they did nothing to help as well. So, we arrive at C. C, with children in tow. And get to a B-day table that has the girls name misspelled. We sit down, expecting food to start coming out, and game cards to be supplied for the children. Chucky Cheese had totally screwed up her order, no game cards had been prepared yet, and they were sold out of gluten free pizza's. It wasn't until we finally got to talk to an actual manager that they got 50% off the bill....which at that point, I felt should have been free. What is the the point of PREORDERING pizzas when they aren't even ready until the other regular ordered pizzas arrive. Inconvenient for guests who just drove 3 hrs to get there.
