0/10 came to see the barbie movie and the a/c was off the whole time. Please save your money and go somewhere else. This place is absolutely disgusting and is not maintained properly. Ice machine is always out when the soda cups are already overpriced and it is summer time and they cant keep up with their ice machine or turn their air conditioner on???

Nice! They renovated the seating, now they have reclining chairs with footrests and a table.

Here to see the late night showing of Star Wars at 12:35 am. But we're still standing outside waiting for the cleaning guy to finish at 12:29. It'd be nice to sit and chill before the movie, usually you can do that 15 minutes or more prior to the movie. Not cool! Everyone waiting just walked in at 12:29, cleaning guy "just finished." I haven't been to this theater in ages, nice to see the seat upgrades: recliners with footrests and a school desk style table. Wastebaskets in the bathroom and halls don't seem well kept, overflowing and despite sitting through a 2 1/2 hour movie they were still overflowing when I saw them after the movie. The parking lot is still fairly dark, no renovations there. Not the safest setting when you're coming out of the theater late at night. If not for the renovated seating I probably would have given this place one star.

One great improvement you can make is start your movies on time. You don't even start the ads.

Don't be fooled! This is NOT an old blue haired, ag wealthy, Republican women's social spot! Not…read moresaying that you won't see this demo represented dining here, but this is actually a very competent, professionally run restaurant. It is staffed by the crème de la crème of Salinas Valley matrons volunteering in the professional chef directed kitchen, as well as being your servers. Not to drop names but the last time I was there, a member of the Salinas City Council who is a force with whom to be reckoned in the ag industry, and a philanthropist for our local hospitals was serving my table!!!! And, she was very, very good! Food? Go to the website and you'll see a really awesome menu that changes monthly to reflect the seasonal produce available. As expected for our valley, it is a veg forward menu which is much appreciated. There is always one vegetarian dish that is offered. Besides the entrees, which are amply sized and run about $20, there are a selection of familiar sandwiches, two fresh house made soups, and main dish salads with house made dressings (YAY and thank you for making your own dressings!). You can also order a 1/2 sandwich and salad or soup. Honestly, this is a full-service restaurant with excellent tasty food! I've had their version of Chicken Cordon Bleu, the Reuben sandwich, the Chicken Apple Brie Salad with house made Ranch, and the Monte Cristo sandwich (great rendition!). I've been perfectly delighted with everything put in front of me. While I always prefer a chicken thigh to a breast, I've never had a dust-dry chicken breast. Sides are usually about $7-$10, and desserts are $10. The salad greens are ALWAYS hand selected, and torn, and NEVER from a damn food service bag. Soups are delicious! I always get soup, an entree, and I have to get dessert as it is ALWAYS a taste sensation. HOT TIP: Help save the planet one take-out container at a time! Take your own leakproof containers in a re-useable bag. I eat my soup, and my dessert, and take home a portion of the entree for a later meal. When you take your own containers, the leftovers will keep fresher, and won't leak all over your clothes and your car. You'll be a happier camper and feel good about your choice! Service? As mentioned, the Valley's doyennes are your servers. Sometimes they mess up, but corrections are made quickly and with grace. For fox sake, folks, be kind to servers in general, but these servers are volunteers! Chat'em up if you're not from here and you'll usually get some awesome history and stories about our valley. Ambiance? C'mon, man! This is the childhood home of JohnSteinbeck! It's beautifully restored to that period with all sorts of photographs on the walls. Any history or literature buff will be thrilled to pieces to be taken here! I've lived here over 30 years, and I still learn things every day about this extraordinary area! WARNING: this is not a place that can accommodate folks unable to climb about 15 stairs. This is a great place to take the older relatives, but it's also a great place for a quiet, delicious lunch at which to actually talk to your companion. Go here NOW! You will be happy!

When we first looked at planning our wedding we were overwhelmed. There were so many different…read moreelements to think about from flowers to table linens, dessert, music and more details. We didn't know where to start and to be honest neither of us really enjoy throwing parties or events so we didn't see how any of this could be fun. We figured we would look at hiring a wedding planner. Every Last Detail came highly recommended, so we decided to give her a call and at that moment everything changed and it was for the better. Patty comes with years of experience, and she knows a lot of great vendors and has so much knowledge when it comes to weddings. She was able to help us find our photographer, florist, DJ, and everything else we wanted to create our perfect day. She gave us options of different vendors in our budget that she knew were available on our wedding date, which helped save so much time. She kept us on track with the timeline, which helped reduce a lot of stress, as well as making sure we were on budget and enjoying the entire process along the way. She also offered advice when we asked for it but never made decisions for us and never gave her opinion on any decisions without us asking first. The day of our reception Patty and her assistant Carol made sure neither of us nor any of our family members had to lift a finger and took care of everything. They helped to make sure everything was set up from linens to flowers and the lighting as well and even packed up the gifts and all our belongings into the car at the end of the night making sure nothing was left behind. Their level of detail is impeccable. For example, they seamlessly snuck us away from our guests so we could have our grand entrance introducing us as a married couple for the first time. We had decided to join our cocktail hour and naturally neither of us ate a bite because we were so busy talking to guests as they arrived. Carol very nicely told us that her and Patty had set some food aside for us in the backroom. We were able to sit, eat and have a moment together. But we didn't realize they orchestrated this so we could magically appear when our names were announced for the first time as a married couple. Not only is Patty super detailed, a real expert party planner but she's also a joy to work with. She's professional while also being very down-to-earth and handles stressful events with ease and is easy to talk to. She advocates for her clients to make sure they have the best day and have things exactly as they planned. We really felt like hiring her was the best decision we made. We're extremely grateful to her and cannot recommend her enough!

I am so grateful that Patty was recommended to me, I have no idea what I would have done without her. If you have no experience planning a wedding, then Patty is a great option. She will go above and beyond. She helped me with EVERYTHING. We had so many phone calls about planning, venders, timelines, you name it. We got married at the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa, Patty got our marriage insurance (didn't know that was a thing) and every detail was done to my exact wishes; our rooms, a get-ready room, timeline. She helped me find and book my venders; makeup, hair, live music. She knew about the area restrictions and completely managed all my venders. She made the best timelines I have ever seen in my life, had everything to a tee with wiggle room in case things did not go according to plan (which they rarely do). She even helped my officiant (who was our best friend) with his ceremony timeline and speech. Patty took care of everything, even when I had vender drama, she took care of it without me having to deal with it at all. And she even ran to our room when our ring bearer forget our rings! Day of, Patty has her assistant Carol which is more than a bonus. Both Patty and Carol are adored by me and my family. Truly were like my own family, even helped me put my shoes on. There are no perfect words to describe how truly grateful I am for having them at my wedding. Best decision I have ever made. 10/10 would hire them again.

Another problem was the 2 properties share a parking lot and there isn't room for large rigs so 2 mornings in a row there was construction equipment being loaded and loud trucks started. The surprise came when I saw a portable air conditioner, the exhaust was exiting out a window that was up, this made the outside noise very loud.
