I'd highly recommend the cheese curds! If you're coming with younger children, they have a few candy/claw machines that my daughters enjoyed. They also have a bowling ramp that my 3-year-old used, and it made her whole experience easier! There was only one thing that was a little annoying about this last trip. We came in 3 separate groups and communicated that we needed our checks split among the 3 of us. Instead of billing us for what we each ordered, they split the entire amount equally in 3 ways. We reimbursed each other via Venmo, but it was a hassle that could've been prevented. The gentleman who did this left, and then the guy who checked us out had no idea what was going on.

On the way home to Hesper, IA, we stopped at Corky's Pizza in La Crescent, MN. I am a fan of their wines. I started off with a glass of Barefoot Riesling and it challenged all my tastebuds and had a pleasant nose. We ordered a 8" veggie pizza, and a regular hamburger with kettle fries. The 8" pizza was the perfect size for one person. The kettle chips were just as expected, delicious. The burger was 'damn good'. I love the atmosphere and the staff was super helpful. We will be back.

It has a great, dive-y Midwest feel, and the staff is exactly what you think of when you hear "Minnesota Nice." They're well know for their pizza, which we couldn't pass up, but we also gambled on their cheese curds and were blown away. The curds are served with their house marinara sauce, which was fantastic, and is served on many of their pizzas. For our dinner, I split the Deluxe, which is basically a supreme pizza, and wow was it good. The pizzas here are made from scratch with fresh ingredients and the flavor profile of it really shows. This was the first time I've ever been, and I can assure you I'll be back again. Don't miss this place!!!

The history of the building is pretty neat and it's right in the middle of a Main Street with houses. It had a cool outdoor space and pretty interior. There were just a few locals in there when we stopped. The bartender was friendly and accommodating. We ordered the crab rangoons which my kids scarfed down immediately and said they were really good! We also got a 16 inch deluxe pizza. It was pretty good too. Nice little find in southeastern MN.

Honestly you gotta come just to see the interior of this place, it's so cool -- there's LED stars in the ceiling! And when's the last time you saw a theater THIS big? Usually these old places get chopped up into what amounts to glorified widescreen TV style screens... but not The Rivoli! Plus I hear they're renovating their top floors to add in studio space for local artists. Not to mention their great mix of programming from new release to family favorites and some cult fare. OMG, as the kids say, it was beyond amazing! Juicy! Big! Fresh! Topped with the perfect amount of lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. The "Butter Bun"? Yup! Awesome! Now let's be clear here, this fat old man has eaten a lot of cheeseburgers in his day, and for a chain, top notch! Though different, I'd put them up against In & Out any day! Five Guys as well! Now, combine those amazing burgers with the top notch, smiling service, and we have an easy winner! Where's my chicken dinner? But wait, there's more! That's right, they also had soft pretzels with, of course, Wisconsin cheese dipping sauce, and those were spot on too! Now, before you vomit over my love festival, slow your roll a tad, their "Cheese Curds" were pedestrian. Yes, I'm sorry, but they were. However, as a whole, cheese curds are kinda lame, am I right? Look, they're little chunks of mozzarella sticks for the rest of the country, what are all of you so excited about? See, not all unconditional love here, but wait.... there's more! Hahahahaha! Indeed! Their dessert is the bomb too! What? This is crazy! Alright, Culver's, Albuquerque is patiently awaiting your arrival. Cheers!
