I visited the Sawmill Road location in Columbus with my family recently, and unfortunately the experience was pretty disappointing. We went in excited to let the kids have fun, but several issues really took the joy out of it. First, multiple games were out of order, but there were no "out of order" signs posted anywhere. You wouldn't know until you swiped your card and it deducted points anyway. That's incredibly frustrating--especially when you're already paying high prices for game play. The basketball game had a ball with only about half the air it needed, making it almost impossible for the kids to score. In the game with the small plastic balls, at least 10 of them were broken in half or completely smashed, so they didn't work properly either. We spent over $40 on just one pizza, an order of chicken nuggets, and two drinks. Parents and grandparents are happy to do that for a special treat, but we're not willing to also drop another $20+ on games that don't work. On top of that, every single game felt way too short--most only lasted about 30 seconds. That's barely enough time for a child to get into it and enjoy the experience. All the games should be set for at least 90 seconds or more. Chuck E. Cheese has always been a go-to spot for family fun, but this visit left us feeling like we didn't get our money's worth. I hope management takes a look at maintenance, signage, game timing, and the overall value. A little improvement in these areas would make a big difference for families. Rating: 2/5 Would I return? Maybe if things are fixed, but not anytime soon at these prices with this level of upkeep and maintenance. read more

We had my son's 4th birthday party here last weekend and it was great! For $429 we got unlimited play passes for the kids, pizza for the kids and adults, gift bags and dipping dots for the kids. You have a party host that waits on your table and it's great because there is someone up front that checks people in so kids can accidentally escape in case your kiddos are prone to running. It's been a bit since I've been in a Chuck E. Cheese so I was curious to see what was new and what would be a blast from the past when we were invited to meet up here with friends. It's still packed with games, prizes, and pizza, of course! Some of the games have changed, naturally, though I was glad to see skeeball still around (such a classic!). It is pretty heavy on the arcade games these days. The group enjoyed the photobooth type activity too. There is now a trampoline area (extra cost - and you need special grippy socks). The large party space with tables has a giant screen where they had some birthday messages/activities that were displayed for a birthday party taking place while we were there. I didn't see the old animatronics (I couldn't resist looking!), but someone dressed up as Chuck E. Cheese was out and about. While I mainly remember pizza from "the olden days," they had some other selections on hand, including a salad bar, appetizer options, and a variety of desserts including big cookies they heat up and serve warm, cake, and ice cream treats. There is plenty of parking available in the shopping center lot. Service was friendly, though we did run into an issue where they forgot to put our cookie in and we had to go back up to inquire about it. It came out promptly after that and was enjoyed. Ive seen multiple party's be hosted here at this Dublin location and it's ALWAYS a hit with the kids. No matter how many times we come the employees take care of the guests and the kids and treat everyone with respect and kindness and it's great to see. Kids have a blast Everytime and I cant complain about any experience here in the last year and a half. Almost all games are always functioning. I've only seen a max of two games down at a time in this establishment and they have it pretty jammed packed too! This location is terrible. I don't understand the point of stamping when the staff is not present more than half the time to check the stamps before leaving. Apart from that, this location is not the best in terms of layout. It feels cramped, espeically now after the addition of the unnecessary trampoline area. There are always at least 4 game machines that do not work on any given day. Day to day it will alternate which machine is not working. I have lost points several times due to this. The staff behind the counter are usually nice; however, I think they are very low on staff as sometimes it takes longer than 10 minutes to get anyone there. They really should do a revamp of the space. The Easton location has much better machines and are updated. read more

I'll start off saying this. The kids had fun and that's what is most important. You know what you're getting with the pizza. It's covered in butter and grease. Not the worst crust in the world. The kids enjoyed the pie but obviously their taste buds aren't as mature. The main issues that caused a weaker rating was cleanliness. Bathroom was rough, toilets not clean. The guy stamping hands at the door had a strong smell of urine. Almost as if he had rolled around in it. Some of the games were out of order too. Went here with my brothers and a roommate of one. Unashamedly saying we had a great time. The pizza wasn't as good as my oldest brother remembered, but I blame nostalgia. I thought it was good pizza, better than some like Papa Johns, and came with a giant cookie. My little brother and his friend went to get beer, but they were out so they tried the Babe wine. Bubbly rosé that was reportedly not good lol. They sadly removed the hamster trails and pinball machine, but they do still have the Chuck E animatronic at least so we were happy to see him. Had a great time here the other day with my two kiddos. There must have been a party there that day - ordered food and the pizza was clutch - my son who doesn't normally eat pizza ate 3 slices. The woman behind the counter was so incredibly sweet, she even told us that she has been there for I think she said 18 years!!! I got myself a gaming card so I wasn't strangely sitting around, this was a great experience - I may go back even without my kids.... Who knows. Thank you for the hospitality. Came for a birthday party on a Sunday morning. The best time to schedule a birthday party When there aren't tons of people there is in fact Sundays starting at 9am and ending at 11. Barely any one in there ! Staff was very friendly. I was impressed with the assistance and effort of staff to make my sons friend have a great birthday experience. Pizza was great. Only one game my son tried wasn't working so that was great ! Only 2 of the ticket counters were working. The only down side. This is by far the best Chuck E. Okay - let's be clear here - this is a place full of screaming children, and no doubt stressed out and underpaid staff. The food isn't gourmet, the games are meant to take a beating, and give kids an easy, quick reward. That said - the staff have mastered watching kids underfoot (and parents chasing their toddlers) all with a smile on their face. The girl at the counter rocked - and hooked my boys up with free balloons, and she was swamped (lines at the front counter and the prize counter - only one girl working it). The pizza is better than frozen, but they have pepper and Parmesan cheese at the table which helps, and my boys love tearing through the place. Here for a birthday party for two 5 year old boys. It's loud and crazy and filled with screaming, running children. The kids had a great time. Wait time in line for 2 large draft beers ($5.99 each) was about 15 minutes. For some reason on a packed Saturday only one person was working the counter. All staff that we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The pizza was ok, nothing special but I've certainly had worse. Staff does a lot to get kids entertained (dancing with the big mouse, TVs showing kids shows etc.) I might have given this 4 stars because of the staff and the amazing time had by the kids except for cleanliness. My son somehow found out about Chuck E. Cheese and asked to have his 4th birthday there, so we decided to do a test run this weekend. I'm glad we did, as we will definitely not be having his party there. The good: it's one large, well-lit room and seemed clean; they stamp your hand along with your kids hand to lessen the chance of kidnapping; for $20 I felt like we got to play a lot of games. Here's how it went down: We walked in, ready to play some games and eat some pizza. We asked the employee at the door how this all works and he explained we could get a Playpass at the desk or from the machines, so we head over to the machines. There is no option to purchase a Playpass, just to purchase Points, so we scratch our heads in confusion, but finally decide to try hitting "Points", which it turns out means you will automatically get a Playpass printed. $20 Playpass in hand, we headed over to Skeeball and quickly learned my son was too little, so my husband took over the game. My son was super excited for tickets and so we were happy my husband was tearing up the game. Then, about 15000 points in, the game flashes and just stops working. No tickets for that one. We head over to a game that seems easier, a light that spins in a circle and you pull the lever and win the number of tickets it lands on. Except the lever didn't work, so we had our son push the giant button. It landed on 3 tickets, but then no tickets came out. Strike 2. Our next venture was over to play some basketball. We swipe our card, the door opens for the ball to slide down and...nothing. I finally bend down to see under the door and there was no ball. Strike 3. My 2 year old wants some action now, so I put here in this car you ride that takes your picture. She was really looking cute, having a blast, so I was excited for the picture. Except it never came. My husband and I awkwardly stood there, trying to decide if it needed to print or not, but then realized it had no intentions of printing. I then took my son over to this thing where they take your picture and it draws a sketch. Super cute, right? Oh, sorry, turns out it was out of paper. Seriously, we were there over 30 minutes before we found a game that worked. We found the game, it was Ghostbusters, it was awesome. Of course, with all the kids, there was a line, so we took our turn and then stepped away. After checking out some more broken games, we headed back to Ghostbusters, but there was a woman there with her 2 sons and there she sat for at least the next 20 minutes while my son tried to patiently wait her turn. However, I did look over and see that the game was now saying it was out of tickets, so no great loss there. There were more broken games, I can't remember them all. I'd say about 20% of the games were working, so there is no way in hell I would subject my kid to that on his birthday. As for the party area, it's like a dark and crowded Hofbraus Haus. There's picnic tables lined up as far as the eye can see, and clustered so close together it's hard to walk in between. The different parties are shoved together elbow to elbow. I'd review the pizza, but to save our sanity, we left and got Papa Johns, which cheered up my sad son. I still have a handful of tickets that I found on the ground and my Playpass still has $10 or so on it, but I don't plan on going back. It was awful. read more

My son had an amazing birthday party! We scheduled the party for a weeknight and were the only birthday party present during our time slot. The manager was very attentive and throughout the 2 hours we were there checked on us frequently. I could tell he truly cared about making sure my son had a great party, which is greatly appreciated. We did the "Mega Fun" birthday package, which includes "all you can play" cards for the kids. I highly recommend choosing an "all you can play" package as it operates on a 2-hour timer and removes the possibility of a kid running out of play points during the party. It is an arcade so the kids are going to want to play anything and everything they see. The pizza came out hot and tasted really good. The kids loved dancing with Chuck E Cheese and getting their pictures taken with him. We heard one of our guests say they want their birthday party to be there too. Can't say enough positive things about this location. We've been bringing our kids here a couple of times per year since 2010 and we have only ever had positive experiences. This location is clean, in a safe area, and has great staff. Every staff member we have come in to contact with has been kind and polite. Great job Dublin location! Reading the other bad reviews before I took my little guy, I'm like, "C'mon people... it's Chuck E Cheese. Of course the food sucks!" So yeah... the food really sucks! hah! Seriously - it's bad. I tried wings (bad), mozzarella sticks (ehh), and got my son some chicken fingers and fries that... well... they probably bought them at Kroger or Giant Eagle and microwaved them. But so what?! If any clown goes to Chuck E Cheese for the elegant cuisine, you're highly misguided, or perhaps another rat, attracted to the big mouse on the sign. I use to bring some of my grandchildren here and decided to bring Gavin and Zelda. Never again. The pizza taste like cardboard. We ordered a salad bar and after waiting 45 mins. Canceled it. The kids played games. 4 of which took their coins and didn't show scores even though I was keeping track. No tickets until I asked for the manager. Even the vending ice cream machine took money and didn't give ice cream. We spent 1/2 of our time looking for some one to fix things. Overall it was nice to take the kids there. Their reviews would all say AWESOME!....Im a little older then 3 though :) The pizza was good. The games are fun. The lady did give us free balloons so SCORE! One HUGE problem though the tubes are made for children that are like 4ft and taller! My daughter cant even go up in them unless I decided to take one for the team and crawl up as well lifting her up every step! they should have designed something for 2 year olds to be able to climb up as well. read more

I took my 2 year old daughter here. She enjoyed herself on the kiddie rides--even tried to hang in the big kid section, because she's adventurous like that. I kindly guided her back into the toddler world. Anyway, Chuck E Cheese is cheap, there is no entrance fee and 1 token is only $0.25. That's fair to me. I don't like when they have Chuck E dance and another staff throw the free tickets (or "make it rain") at/on/over the children. I don't think it's fair because my toddler can't compete with the bigger kids. I appreciate the free tickets but they should find a better way to do it. The march, dancing and singing is cute though. I will give them that. Another dislike is the tunnel in the baby/toddler area. My toddler can't climb up in there. My 2 year is not short for her age and she still can't manage to get up there without my help. It appears to be designed for 3/4 years and up. That's my best guess. One last complaint, slow service at the prizes counter. The food, I didn't try it so I can't tell you. Besides, we are vegan. The only thing we could have is salad, cheese less pizza (unless we are allowed to bring our own) and possibly the fries. I had my niece & nephew for the afternoon. We were looking for a fun place to have something to do as well as get something to eat. I've not been to a Chuck E Cheese in years, but had an idea what to expect. The best part .... the kids had a great time with the games. Otherwise, I found many of the other comments to be very true. When we walked in, you first have to check-in as an entire family group and get your hands stamped. You cannot entire until you are all together. And, you must all leave together. So there is one lone guy who stands there checking folks in and out. (We did later get a big kick out of watching him as he was dancing on his own to all the toons when Chuckie appeared for somebody's birthday party ... he never left his post.) All other staff .... wow ... vacant, stressed to the max and not helpful. If you regularly visit, you have likely learned the routine, but otherwise you watch and observe others to learn the ropes. Yes, the food sucks! The large pep pizza had a few pepperoni slices on it. Seemed like it was more of a medium size pizza than a large one. I thought I was eating cardboard and was lukewarm. Took forever to receive your food. I didn't expect "gourmet" food, but for the price it should have tasted reasonable. The soda dispensing machines were broken. Tabletops and floors were dirty. Staff simply could not keep up or were too apathetic to try. The games take a beating. Good variety for different ages. Each only take one token. The tickets they provide seem to be a less than what I remember. And the "prizes" ... well, its the thought that counts. read more

Saturday night with two kids under four at a birthday party = insanity. I would never recommend coming here on weekend night but yet this place has some positive qualities. Kids love it and I do whatever it takes to make my two girls happy. If you have anxiety about your kids in crowded places like my wife then don't come here. The games are cheap along with the simple rides for kids. The kids loved the pizza as well. If I was planning a birthday party here then i would think about having the party at a time when less people are here. I did notice the attendant responsible for our group was very attentive and helped out. I really enjoyed that part of the experience. This was my first time in many, many, many years that I have been in a Chuck E Cheese's. My son received passes for good behavior so he was so excited to check it out here. We were one of the firsts to arrive so we had the pick of seats to eat at and he had games galore to check out before more kids arrived. He had a fantastic time playing games, talking and playing games with other kids and really liked all of his loot. We got a pepperoni pizza which was actually pretty good. All the staff was very nice, calm, and helpful. When we went to redeem tickets I noticed how patient the staff is with each child picking out their prizes. This facility is very clean and well run. Kids love it! For a cute birthday party or a kids day out this is the place. The games are only 1 token. This is a plus because children can feel independent and put the tokens in themselves. My 2 year old got the concept of 1 token really quick. They removed the area for smaller children. Not sure why this section was taken out because it was great for children 2 and under. There was no fear that a toddler would be ran over by a older child. Hoping this is just temporary. They offer food items such as pizza, wings, hot dogs, salad bar, and sandwiches. The menu also lists the calories for each item for those watching their weight or calorie intake. Overall a nice place for kids to let loose. They also stamp your wrist with a number upon entry. This number is a security measure to keep children safe. It matches adult to child. Before exiting a staff member ensures the number on each child matches the adult they are leaving with. read more

I agree with David P.'s assessment of the staff--they're not at all quick or courteous. But let's face it: this place is generally a nightmare for adults. It's usually filled with sugar-drunk kids, the food is mediocre at best, and everything is overpriced. But you're not coming here for a date; you're coming here to give your kids some entertainment. I was at Chuck E Cheese for my nephew's birthday party today. You mostly know what you're getting yourself into when you go to Chuck E Cheese: lots of kids, mediocre pizza, and overpriced games that only work some of the time. Knowing that I was ordering mediocre food, I still placed an order for a pizza, some wings, and some fries. I got a number, which I placed on my table so that they could find me to bring me my food. An hour goes by, and no food has arrived, so I went to the order counter to find out what was going on. The cashier got my pizza, but there rest of my order was nowhere to be found. The cashier told me that she would bring the rest of my order when it was finished. Another 45 minutes go by, and none of the rest of my order has arrived. My husband then went up to the cashier and was handed a basket of room temperature fries. We were told that our wings were cooking at that moment. We sit with the fries while my nephew opens his presents, but no wings ever arrive, so we can't tell staff that the fries were cold. At this point, we just stood outside of the kitchen to ask someone to speak with the manager to get our money back. We got our money back without any problem. Kudos to Chuck E. Cheese for giving us our money back. The biggest problem with Chuck E. Cheese today: they were majorly understaffed. There was only one cashier. The prize counter was not staffed for much of our time there. I think hiring on a few more people would have helped with lots of problems today. read more

The reason we like to bring our children here is because the games are only 1 token. I always go online to print the 100 tokens for $20 coupon. Can't beat the price. The food is gross but hey the kids like the pizza so whatever. The salad bar always looks picked over (I've only made the mistake of getting their salad bar once). The staff are friendly considering I'm sure they are under paid, and they deal with hyper kids all day. Can't forget they have to alternate wearing that ridiculous Chucky suite lol. My chief complaint is the prize counter. I've never been there and we are able to go to the prize counter and get speedy service. Absolutely disgusting! Filthy and understaffed Waited in line for 40 minutes to buy points while one girl working was arguing with west side trash. The bathrooms were covered in dirty diapers pads and actual shit! We had to change our twins in the car! The floors were covered in garbage you couldn't stop tripping over! And the entire place was infested with filth! In Dublin! Dublin?! I swear to God I could of sworn we were in Whitehall! There is officially no where safe to go in Columbus anymore that has not been overran by filth. First east side then the Easton gahanna area now dublin! "manager" curtis is so rude. never coming back to this location! He literally grab my salad plate out of my hand and told me I didn't pay for my salad. When I explained that I did he called me a their and a liar. This went on for about 5 minutes in front of other parents. I have never been more embarrassed in my life. The GM Courtney came over and apologized and refunded my check. But I will never step foot into that location again. I've had 5 out of 9 of my son's birthday parties there and have spent ALOT OF MONEY THERE. No more! This place doesn't even deserve 1 star read more
