Chuck E. Cheese was founded as Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre in 1977 by Nolan Bushnell who created one of the first computer video games Pong and to support it, he co-founded Atari. Fun fact, one of the first people he hired to work at Atari was Steve Jobs. When creating Chuck E. Cheese Bushnell sought to make arcade video games family friendly. The restaurants animatronic show was inspired by Nolan's love of the animals of Disney's Bear Country Jamboree and Tiki Room and pizza was chosen to serve because he liked it and it was easy to make. The first location opened in San Jose, California and it was the first family restaurant to combine food and and family games. Chuck E. Cheese began franchising early on and as of 2020 they had over 600 locations in 47 U.S. states, four Canadian provinces, and 3 cities in Puerto Rico. They are headquartered in Irving, Texas. The restaurants are named after its mascot, Chuck E. Cheese. Bushnell originally purchased a coyote costume and gave it to his staff to make the mascot. They thought it was a rat and Bushnell decided to go with it and name his restaurant Rick Rat's Pizza. He was talked out of putting rat in the name and instead called it Chuck E. Cheese, The E stands for entertainment. Each restaurant had child centered arcade games, amusement rides, ball pits, crawl tubes, and a character stage show. When you played the games you got tickets for prizes. It was a relatively inexpensive venue for children's birthday parties and many kids grew up attending parties there. I haven't been to a Chuck E Cheese since my daughter was a child but I got to relive all of the fun with a camp group. There has been a lot of changes since my last visit over 15 years ago. Instead of just pizza the menu now includes items like wings, cheesy bread and unicorn churros. Another thing that stood out was how bright and clean it was. Gone is the dark interior and the germ ridden hamster crawl tubes and ball pits. Covid caused Chuck E. Cheese to file bankruptcy and you can see one of the legacies of the virus is that everything can be easily cleaned. Chuck E. still has the band together but instead of the old show, their performances are broadcast on screens throughout the restaurant along with other Kidz Bop type of performances. We started out with a pizza lunch and it wasn't bad! Adults got a very nice salad bar along with a Hawaiian and meat lovers pizza and unlimited drinks. The staff was very attentive and nice. After that it was on the games. I had a blast playing along with the kids. We are all given unlimited timed game cards. Another change is that the machines no longer spit out tickets. They are electronically put on your card for prize redemption. They had Pac Man and all of us adults of a certain age had a nostalgia fueled session. I also had fun challenging the kids to video games, skee ball, whacking minions, and shooting hoops. There was a wide variety of games and a few little rides which appealed to everyone. A couple of the games weren't working but there was more than enough to keep a large group busy. The kids had a great time and even as an adult I had fun too. I used to hate taking my daughter to Chuck E. Cheese but the changes have made this place so much better. If you have older kids you might want to consider Dave and Busters but for the pre teen set and younger this was just about perfect.

What a horrible experience thanks to Brian!!! my drinks tossed and my food touched manager failed to accommodate us

After visiting Chuck E. Cheese for the last six years, I have never experienced such a horrific time. I will no longer be patronizing with Chuck E. Cheese. The overall facility was OK not too sure how the food was since it was touched by others. Do not recommend bringing your children if Brian is working.

THIS PLACE IS JUST HOW I REMEMBER IT! The games were fun for a decent price! The nice girl up front told me about their promo of $20 for 100 tokens! That was a steal! The games range from 1-3 tokens! It's a great place & location to bring the kids to do something fun, especially on rainier days where outdoor activities don't seem to be the best idea! The water gun one is my personal favorite, almost as if I was at a fair! Would definitely come back to here! :-)

Setting up for an epic day!

My daughter had a party scheduled at another facility at 1139. They called and cancelled at 10 am. I called Chuck E. Cheese and asked if we could come in. While they couldn't take same day party reservations, they told us to come in and they would help. When we got there Shy and Christine were amazing!!! We likely had a better party than we would have had at the other facility. The manager came to check on us a few times as well. I can't say enough about Chuck E. Cheese and especially shy who made sure my daughter had a great birthday day. Chuck E. Cheese for the win!!! Thank you!!

Some games didn't work but it's alright, pizza was alright, nothing special or brag worth, but the man running the counter has been messing with the same customer for over 45 min now and has created a huge line, my kids and I just wanna leave but they have 1000 tickets and wanna get toys, tried calling the store and watched this man hit the end call button every time I called. I'm not sure if he's flirting with them, they're smiling at each other so it can't possibly be an unpleasant situation. Idk if he's the manager, I sure hope he's not, but NO ONE else is working apparently, there's 5 families with 2 or more kids looking to spend tickets and this man is still just messing around with the same people. Would still come back, but possible I might turn around if I found out it's during this man's shift, don't count on anything getting done with him there. 2 stars because my kids had a genuine good time up until we were ready to leave.

There are two levels, filled with classic and collector's pinball machines going back several decades. There are also a ton of retro video games from my youth. There are bars upstairs and downstairs, and I believe food is available as well. Parking can be a little tricky, but by having a little patience, you'll find a spot soon enough. There is a public lot just adjacent to the arcade. Your admission gets you access to all the pinballs, video games, and skee ball. I'd plan for at least two hours to enjoy all the games. The people who work the register are quite nice. If you go on their website and join their mailing list, they frequently have deals for tickets or gift cards. Their specials are very generous and can make for an affordable and fun night out. I would probably visit here more often if I lived near Delray. Silverball is quite unique and definitely a great family spot.

I had made a list of things/activities for us to do while she was here and I put Xtreme Action Park on the list. Honestly, I did not think anyone would want to go. But, we woke up one day and decided to just hop over there because it wasn't far from our house. It was around noon on a Wednesday and we almost had the place all to ourselves! When we walked in, we were astonished at how huge this place was! It has indoor go kart racing and I'm not talking the slow, kiddie ones either! These go karts went very fast and it was a very large and curvy track. They also had a huge skating rink, an entire 18 hole, miniature golf room, a huge trampoline room, an obstacle course that hung from the ceiling, virtual reality games and experiences, a ton of standard arcade games as well as a restaurant and bar. (they had so much that I'm probably forgetting something important!) We had the time of our lives! We killed zombies and road motorcycles and battled pirates, laughing, screaming, and yelling the entire time like three little kids. We stopped for a while and went to the bar and ordered nachos and Mojitos. The nachos were delicious (they were actually the best nachos I ever had! ) and they made a special Mojito that was also very good. After we ate and had a couple of drinks, we went back to playing arcade games. Before we got a chance to even do anything else we realized we had been there for five hours! By the time we left, it was getting very busy and we were exhausted but on top of the world. We had so much fun running around that place, each of us addicted to a different arcade game. We left with credits still on our cards so I am going back soon. Regardless of how old you are, put this on your list of things you want to check out because I promise, you won't regret it.

The VR was fun but I didn't like that they didn't clean the goggles (at least I didn't see) after someone playing. That is gross lol. I went and washed my face after. One of the VR rides was broken so I couldn't do it with my friend. The shooting one was a lot more fun than the SpongeBob. The mini golf was cute- it's mini golf lol! We got fries, Red Bull, and blue slush. The prices weren't bad! I was expecting more. Overall fun- kinda loud and busy. But I had a good time. Wish I took photos , next time ;)

Two of us ordered drinks right away and sat at the bar playing video games. The rest of our group was still deciding what they wanted, which we understood fell under the one drink minimum per person rule. One friend sat with us at the bar while we had our drinks and was told by the bartender that she couldn't sit there without purchasing a drink, so she moved. She then stood near our other friends, who were playing an arcade game, and they were told they could not play unless they each bought a drink. At this point, they stood behind us at the bar to look over the menu and decide what they wanted, but that didn't seem to matter. The bartender repeatedly returned and escalated the situation instead of allowing any reasonable time to order, stating they could get water if they wanted and that it did not have to be alcoholic. After only a couple of minutes, the same bartender came out from behind the bar again and said in a rude, condescending tone that they "don't understand... if they don't buy a drink, then they can't even be in the building." Our friends explained that we had already purchased drinks and were simply deciding what we wanted, but at that point, they were turned off by his behavior and no longer wanted anything--and frankly, neither did we. We cashed out our tab, finished our drinks, and left. We were already paying customers and would have ordered more drinks, but the handling of the situation made that impossible. Instead, the business lost not only our additional sales, but also several friends who were planning to join us and spend money. We are local to the area and not teenagers causing a disturbance, which is what the situation felt like when our friends were told to leave for no clear reason. I understand house rules like a one-drink minimum, but there is a professional way to enforce them. This wasn't it. Not everyone can or wants to order immediately--whether due to preferences, pacing, or dietary restrictions--and the lack of flexibility or basic courtesy was disappointing. Instead of encouraging guests to stay and order more, the approach did the opposite. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed my impression of the place, and I don't see myself returning. There are other spots in the area with a similar concept that offer a much more welcoming and customer-friendly experience, and I would recommend exploring those instead.

They then told me I couldn't use the passes by themselves and that I would have to buy a package of 3 games and shoes and that I'd get a "free" $5 arcade card for each kid. The total? It would be $80 for my 2 kids to bowl. EIGHTY DOLLARS FOR 2 KIDS TO BOWL.
