My toddler daughters had the best time at Applesauce Play-Cafe this past weekend, for open play. It was a spur of the moment decision. I was surprised to see that they were opened, as most indoor play places are closed on the weekends. They were open at 10am this past Sunday. I found their hours of operation on Instagram, so I'd suggest checking their social media page before making a plan or heading on over. In addition to open play, they do offer baby/toddler classes and other special events. I was a little worried that my almost 4 year old would be bored, as this place is a little bit smaller compared to other indoor play places. But, she had one heck of a time, going down the slide, over and over again. My almost 2 year old copied everything that her big sister did, including going down the slide. After being there for almost 2 hours, it was difficult to get them to leave. I carried out the screaming little one while my friend walked out the older one.

They truly know how to take care of the kids and provide them with a great learning environment. Although we decided to leave to try a new experience at another place, we truly miss Jiu-Jitsu 4 Life. The coaches -- FILIPO SOFIA and CAIO-- are amazing and dedicated professionals. My kids learned so much during their time there. In 2025, Davi competed at the American Pan Kids while representing Jiu-Jitsu 4 Life, and it was such a proud moment for our family. He won the gold and became champion-what a blessing! all the hard work, discipline, and dedication paid off .no wonder you're grateful moment like that are emotional not just for him, but for everyone who supported him along the way. thanks Again (( GOD )) jiu-jitsu 4 life . I will always recommend Jiu-Jitsu 4 Life to any parent who wants their children to receive a good education and learn Jiu-Jitsu in a positive and supportive environment. Mr:silva

Walking into Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs feels a little like stepping into South Florida…read morehockey history. Sure, the Florida Panthers no longer use this as their primary practice facility, but let's not overlook the fact that this building was literally designed to train a professional hockey team... a Stanley Cup-winning one at that. That alone gives the place some cool factor. The facility has three professional-sized rinks, the ice itself is very well maintained, and there's constantly something happening here. Beer leagues for just about every skill level, kids learning to skate, public skate sessions, hockey parents living exclusively on caffeine and hope... it's got that lively community rink atmosphere that makes places like this fun even if you're just there to watch. In my case, I was there to bring my grandsons to see their dad play hockey for the first time, which already made the experience special before we even stepped inside. And honestly, the staff helped make it even better. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and genuinely helpful. Since the place has multiple rinks running simultaneously, I needed help figuring out where we were supposed to be, and the staff guided us without making me feel like I'd wandered into the NHL combine by mistake. Then came my favorite moment. I ordered chicken nuggets during the game, and instead of making me stand around waiting and risk missing part of my son's game, one of the staff members actually brought the order over to me. That's the kind of small gesture people remember. The overall atmosphere here is friendly, welcoming, and very community-oriented. The building itself is clean and well-kept, even if it's starting to show its age a little compared to the Panthers' newer and shinier facilities elsewhere. Is it the fanciest rink complex ever built? No. But honestly, that's part of the charm. It feels authentic. Functional. Comfortable. Like a real hockey rink instead of a corporate showroom that just happens to have ice in it. Four stars (maybe because I'm a longtime Panthers fanatic?). A little aged and a little limited in spots, but absolutely a place worth checking out whether you're playing, skating, or just introducing the next generation to hockey.

Came here with my wife to sit at the upstairs bar called Panthers Point to have a beer and watch the pros, figure skating and hockey league camp in action but sadly was closed so had to watch from the lower level. My son plays here in the adult league at night. It was pretty exciting knowing that the Florida Panthers actually practice here. The other side of the den was ice skating open to the public for $24.00 with an optional $6.00 skate rental. In order to skate, they provide a digital QR Code to scan and create a Daysmart account with a digital waiver to sign. It was actually very cold walking around and not even on the ice. Basic food and drinks are offered at the snack bar near the entrance. Fun place to skate or just relax and watch the skaters in action on the ice. Dont forget to bring a warm jacket to deal with the frigid temperature.

I've been going to The Peter Blum Family YMCA for years, and overall it's a good place -- but there…read moreare definitely some important pros and cons. Let me start with the positives. The management team is always very polite and helpful. One of the main reasons I've stayed so long is their wide variety of classes -- yoga, BodyPump, Pilates, Zumba, HIIT, BodyCombat, and more. I used to LOVE the BodyPump and BodyCombat classes, especially with instructors Zoe and Cindy Lee -- they were incredible. So much energy, motivation, always correcting form and really engaging with the class. Truly my favorites. Unfortunately, after they left, I stopped attending those classes. I did try the new instructor, but the experience was very different -- loud in an uncomfortable way, lots of personal talk during class, and overall not the same professional atmosphere. There was also an awkward situation that made me feel unwelcome. I was filming myself and my friend briefly (as I sometimes do), making sure no one else was in the background. The instructor approached me in a way that felt unnecessarily confrontational, repeating the same comment about not filming, even after I had already stopped and put my phone away. After that, I felt uncomfortable returning to those classes and eventually stopped going altogether -- especially when I noticed the same energy during future visits. That said, the yoga classes are still excellent -- very strong instructor and great experience. The gym itself is well-equipped with modern machines, always clean, and offers great amenities: sauna, steam room, and a pool. Kids' programs are also a big plus -- my children have been taking swimming classes there for years (we've been coming here for about 6 years total), and they love it. When they were younger, we also attended "mommy & me" classes, which were wonderful -- lots of songs, playtime, and interaction. There's also a kids' playroom with staff, toys, and activities, as well as two playgrounds. They even have a daycare, and a small indoor play area available on weekends -- very family-friendly overall. Now, a couple of serious downsides. The building is quite old, and during rainy season the roof leaks -- I've seen water dripping in areas like the café and even the gym floor, with buckets placed underneath instead of fixing the issue. That's definitely concerning. Another important issue is the parking lot. There is an exposed metal rod sticking out where a parking stopper used to be, right near the front entrance by the windows. I personally had a scary experience with it -- it pressed into my car wheel, and I was lucky it didn't puncture the tire. I reported it and even left a review about it, but a year later it still hasn't been fixed. Please be very careful when parking in that area. Overall, it's a place with great potential, strong programs, and a family-friendly environment -- but also with some issues that really should be addressed.

They have a wide range of…read moredifficulties, ranging from the tough (Body Combat) to ones geared for seniors such as chair yoga. I prefer the middle range with classes like Pilates and barre. I do wish they would mix up the class times once in a while because I've been going for about two years and schedule hasn't changed much so I end up doing the same classes each week. The instructor Jennifer is great. I love that she does different things each week so I don't get bored with it. The place is clean, large, good staff, nice pool. I like the E gym so you don't have to adjust weights as it remembers when you scan your bracelet. They have a lot of community/family based events.
